3521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: February 28, 2020, 01:57:00 PM
I am currently thinking of making an experiment on my own, I have friends who are willing to lend me money for whatever purpose I like.
For this purpose, I like to use the money that I will borrow as the bankroll in sports gambling.

Anyone here have tried this? What can you recommend?
Are you sure that you will be gambling only with sportsbetting and you will never touch any luck-based gambling? I guess you will be having plenty of chances for not losing your entire bankroll with sportsbetting so that you will be able to make profits and then you can return back your loan amount.

But, when you are testing your luck in dicing kind of gambling, I highly recommend you not to go for loan for the reason of gambling. In my view, sportsbetting is not a gambling as it is a skill based one. For other than gambling, you may go for availing loan because you're not going to lose all your money at a glance of eye blinking. When there are possibilities for getting good returns then what is wrong in availing a loan?
3522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 27, 2020, 02:15:08 PM
Real Madrid and City game could be the most docile game in the all of this leg of champions league, I have lost so many games that losing this one didn't really mattered anymore because both teams were at least good and I could see this one coming. Juventus however really screwed me over because I was really looking into that game as a sure fire win and it didn't happened.

I lost on Liverpool game and Barcelona game so I kind of "martingale" my way of sportsbook and doubled (even a bit more, close to triple) on Juventus to make up the difference and get all the losses back from the other two games. Now not only I lost money on Liverpool and Barcelona games but I also lost more than combined of those games on Juventus one. The second leg better not have any shocks because I may end up running out of money Cheesy.
3523  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: February 27, 2020, 08:53:08 AM

I got some of the other symbols in a row before, but never all of those in a row and my old computer are running slots 24/7 now. <On very small bets> I have to say, I have hit the bonus spins 4x in a row and I think it gave me something like 75 free spins in one go, which was something special.  Grin
I will post some screenshots, but it is on another old computer, so I will have to copy it over and then post it here.

My overall experience with running slots 24/7 is a slow but gradual loss over time... but you get the odd big wins in between.  Grin  I use my knowledge in Sports betting to fund this slots experiment, because I know enough to predict some winners.   Grin  <One bad bet will cancel out all my winnings>  Roll Eyes
You dont necessary need all of them in a row.
If you have the scatter symbol you can win alot with those too because they are viewed as a type of wild symbol.
As this guy won quite alot on somewhat a small bet(less than $13) using ripple last week.

@Kakmakr
When you gamble with very tiny amounts and you gamble constantly that is literally the house edge loving system right there. I mean we are talking about a house edge that will make you lose in the "long term" normally but if you keep the computer open for 24/7 to run slots all the time with tiny amounts that kind of means that "long term" is not really long term for you anymore, you are literally getting hit by house edge all the time with that method.

There is no way you can ever go into positive and keep going, casinos do not work like that, you can't end up profiting since there is mathematically no way you can profit. All you can do is increase your wagering amount while losing very little and hope to gain some VIP membership or something for your wagering numbers.
3524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Compulsive gambling. on: February 27, 2020, 07:10:30 AM
When you say compulsive gambling, i think this is stronger than even addiction.
Because when someone has compulsive gambling, they cannot do without gambling in a day
Lets all gamble responsibly please, avoid addiction or mind compulsion to gamble.
Depends on the level of addiction like everything else in the whole world. If you think it is beneficial to everyone around you that is not a high level addiction. Just take this example let's say, you are "addicted" to your spouse and normally that sounds cute, like you can't live without them and you love them and you cherish every moment with them and so forth, that sounds nice and that is actually cool and I hope that for everyone.

However, if it breaks to a point of addiction in the sense that you are obsessed about them, jealous of them, and basically ruin their and your own life for being too addicted to them, you could actually hurt people around you. There is a level of addiction in everything in life including gambling where low level of it is decent but too much of it will hurt.
3525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects are now showing up on: February 27, 2020, 06:35:52 AM
Becareful fellas, new projects are now showing up just because of the Bitcoin hype growing around the internet, the FOMO is alive and no one wants to miss out, now new projects are joining the train as well, behold 'its all about money making' ,do not entirely put your trust in new projects, even new bounties are showing up too, I pity you if you don't know how to patiently do some research
I have been seeing some projects quite alright, it’s not all of them that are scammers, there are legit ones and you just have to take your time and find a good project for yourself, although they are not easy to find. Even before now there have been a lot of projects in the market that are very bad, so you just have to use that same technique you have been using to determine what’s right for you and know the right projects and the ones that are fake.

As for me, right now I am not really looking into new projects because I have been quite busy with my job and there is no time to be researching all that. So my focus has just been on already established coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
3526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project's website is asking private keys of the holders. on: February 27, 2020, 04:49:32 AM
Got a bit confused when I was reading this – thought you meant that their wallet required users to copy and paste their private keys from one wallet to another to send coins or something lol, was not until I read the comments here that I understood what you were trying to say.

I will advise you not to make use of the project any longer, it’s quite risky giving someone your wallet keys unless is someone that you trust. And in the case of this project, have you got anything that shows that the team can be trusted? So it would be better for you to just leave it since it doesn’t seem legit to you. I haven’t seen a project that does such a thing, giving them your private keys means they are in control of your money and they can do anything with it.
3527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Compulsive gambling. on: February 25, 2020, 10:14:28 AM
There are no such things as "too late" in this field. I personally know a compulsive gambler who was successfully cured from his addiction 3 years ago. And, although I can't say that he has been living happily ever after, at least he's not a gambling addict any more. That's why those therapists are called professionals, they know the right words, and also the right time when to say those words, so that it was effective. In most cases friends and family members do it the wrong way round, and thus it's not helpful at all.
These are all case to case things and there cannot be any generalized one common thing across all gamblers. But, addiction is known for its cruelty over its age. So, the earlier detection and treatment may solve the problem quicker. Compulsive gambling is a psychological disorder and any gambler will be vulnerable to it. But, proper guidelines will help gamblers to stay without affected by those disorder.

I believe this type of discussion will help gambler to realize what they actually doing while gambling and what needs to be done and what needs to be avoided to stay protected.
3528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another STO failed! STO won't work anymore. on: February 24, 2020, 08:16:20 PM
Yeah, it is really never going to be a standard. People still think that the way offering happens decides the funding it gets or decides on how good it will be. The reality is, doesn't matter if it is ICO or STO or IEO, if a coin is good it is good, if a coin is bad it is bad, how it was offered will not change that.

Sometimes there is hype and some projects gets more money than they deserve, look at leo and look at binance early IEO ones and you see they were hyped and got more than they deserve, on top of that look at previously on 2017 peak times, projects got funded in billions total and not many of them became good. So long story short, how it is offered is not the issue, the projects itself are the real problems we have to somehow try to figure out and solve.
3529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you looking at tokens that are not top 50? on: February 24, 2020, 07:31:19 PM
Tokens out of top 50 is usually not the ones that people look at , they are not the bread and butter of the crypto community, they are not the big time gambles that people like to make. Think of it like horse racing for example. You have 100+ horses racing instead of 5-20 horses, so in this horse racing there are ones that are favorites to win, they are not going to make you a lot of money if you win, they are going to lose you a lot if you lose, because when you buy stuff like bitcoin you spend more money since you trust it more, but when it s 87th biggest coin you do not spend all your money.

The difference is, when you buy bitcoin you risk more but also it has less risk to lose, but it also earns less, when you buy a low coin, you risk less but it is a bigger risk, but you earn a lot.
3530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it correction time? Market down by 8% on: February 23, 2020, 08:09:44 PM
Do not expect too much from bitcoin halving, everyone has circled that as a big deal in their calendar but the reality is halving is not a huge thing as much as people imagine it is. Let me break it down to numbers for you.

Right now, even the old machines that are now renewed in march with antminer s17, the s9's are still making a profit with around 7-8 thousand dollars cost of mining, that means at 10k, they are making a profit, considering nothing will change they will have half of what they used to make and that will drop it 5k profit or mainly 14-16k cost to mine, with some more machines rolling out it is easier to say it will be around 15-17k easily, however there are newer machines who can mine 1 bitcoin at 4k which means even the double cost would be 8k and that is STILL profitable at 10k. So to say that miners require at least double of this price is simply and mathematically wrong, there are miners who can profit to continue like this with no change in price even after halving.
3531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ridiculous suspicious projects with zero value! on: February 23, 2020, 03:47:09 PM
Perhaps such projects often occur during times when the ICO market becomes difficult. To attract many investors, they will have to create an outer cover or have sold a large amount of TOKEN to create confidence for investors to buy. Please double check before investing in such projects
Such projects can easily create a fake atmosphere which might motivate the investors to invest into their project and also it is not much difficult to create a fake token sale and show the maximum number of tokens sold already. This is mostly been used even now and there are a lot of projects who are using this technique to scam many investors.

It is our responsibility to check their contract address and check whether they really have collected the funds mentioned by them. If not, than create a thread in scam accusation and save plenty of other investors from investing into such scam projects. We can't stop the emergence of these scam projects but we could bust them each time they show up in the markets.
3532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not FOMO on newly listed altcoins on Binance on: February 23, 2020, 03:17:50 PM
As we invest we should be very cautious on these coins or alts and we should not be driven by the hype of the market. We should study first the coin and its value before investing. The chance that it will be successful is base on the support it will get from the users. If there is no people or companies or something else that will benefit from the coin it will probably fail like what happened to the number of alts out there.
Many of the investors make mistake by following the trend each time. They just buy random coins depending on the market supply and 24 hours volume. There are some tickers which indicate coins having major volume in 24 hours and many newbies usually just buy coins depending on such tickers which at the last they have to regret to enter the wrong markets at the wrong price.

This is only because they do not take the efforts to make their own research before investing into such coins. Professional traders/investors would always make a deep research about any coin they are buying and that is what never makes them face any loss. Newbies should try to upgrade themselves in order to minimize the loss.
3533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WINNING THE GAME AGAINST BAD PROJECTS on: February 23, 2020, 09:36:52 AM
Hello guys, having been here for a while now, I feel that having a higher percentage of your portfolio on bitcoin and maybe the rest 30 or 35% on already good and established altcoins like ETH, BCH, Stellar, brave. BNB, Vchain, etc, is a good way of staying away from useless projects. I have come to an understanding that running after new promising projects always leave you heartbroken in 97times, and running after IEO to quickly make up for past losses lead to more havoc on your fund. So stick to the safe zone.
Yeah that’s the truth, always keep your portfolio mainly on the top coins. The smaller coins are usually disappointment. The most annoying ones are the ones that get hyped a lot and when you invest the price will drop within few days or even hours lol.

Some coins are just being hyped for nothing and sometimes it’s some of these people from the pump and dump groups that are hyping the coins and when a lot of people have invested, thinking it’s a really good coin that will keep growing, these groups will then sell their coins immediately and cause the price to fall. Sometimes it’s also the work of one big whale that loves to manipulate the market.
3534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: February 22, 2020, 05:01:23 PM
Binance gets less than 10 million dollars of volume is a great way of saying binance is making over 2-3 thousand dollars profit PER DAY, and we all know they are making much more than with all other stuff that goes on with that website, they are probably making above 10 even 20 thousand dollars in profit every single day and that is why they are more popular than any other decentralized exchange out there.

Plus, binance literally made their own DEX which I still think it is not fully DEX and combination of centralized and decentralized, but even with that out of question, decentralized exchange they created didn't get all that much volume. Why? Because people do not really want to use it, as long as there is no community behind any DEX, we will not see any successful one.
3535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin market speculation ?? on: February 21, 2020, 05:23:55 PM
I think if you change hours into months this would have been seriously a good topic, maybe I should open one myself Cheesy I mean think about it, 6 months to 12 months to 2 years, or instead 3 months to 6 months to one year, that one sounds better. In 3 months I think we will see a new peak of this season, probably something around 13-14 thousand dollars, in 6 months we will probably fall because halving didn't happened as well as people hoped it would so we would reach somewhere around 9 thousand once again, in 1 year we will probably break 15k and maybe even rival the 20k price once again.

Seriously it was so easy to "predict" (or precisely assume) speculation of the next 3-6-12 months instead of hours, that literally changed the whole discussion and made it better.
3536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is getting more adopted in my Country on: February 21, 2020, 05:04:09 PM
That’s really good and from what I can see that’s the only bitcoin ATM in that country. Imagine that people come across it and ask what it is all about and whether it’s the normal ATM and then they are being told its not, but is a bitcoin ATM.

Even those that don’t know about bitcoin would be interested in knowing what it is. It is very good, though that doesn’t show that there is any adoption. The ATM is owned by blockstale, a retailer exchanger for bitcoin in that country. It’s just a way to make their retailing easier but doesn’t mean that it is going to increase the adoption for bitcoin in that country. It’s a really good thing though.
3537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: February 21, 2020, 04:11:55 PM
How are you really sure that the same thing that happened with those tokens in 2017 will be repeating itself this 2020? Most people might be selling their tokens because they now believe that most of the projects in the cryptocurrency space these days are total waste of their time, that’s why you should really be careful. I have seen projects that everyone thought are going to be successful and at the end they still showed up worthless.

So, it’s best that you got and hold what you got than to keep those tokens and at the end you will be disappointed and all your days of hard work gone just like that. But like some would say, cryptocurrency is mainly about risk. So if you can take that risk, there is nothing wrong with it.
3538  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to do ETH/BTC leveraged trading with low fee? on: February 20, 2020, 11:54:47 AM
Is there any leveraged market that offers this pair at a fee similar or lower to the fee on Bitmex? Thanks!!!
Do you actually need a BTC/ETH trading pair leverage exchange or a exchange with lower fees? Most of the exchanges use USDT as their margin collateral and you could long or short bitcoins/etherum or any other coin by just holding some amount of USDT into your leverage account. There also are some exchanges which would allow you to deposit bitcoins or etherum directly to start leverage trading but I am not really sure how they would circulate.

I am a leverage trader on binance exchange and binance only allows users to deposit BNB and USDT to the leverage account. Fees on binance can vary depending on your trading volume. You can also use BNB to minimize your fees onto the exchange.
3539  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My story with leverage on: February 20, 2020, 08:22:00 AM
Leverage has become increasingly popular recently now that more and more people are advertising their massive gains from leveraged (gambling), and many derivatives exchanges actively advertising the high leverage offered on pairs certainly doesn't help either. The winner for all of this ends up being the platform, and I even recall Bitmex used to have a much lower maximum leverage a few years ago (something like 20/25x) before they upped it to 100x, probably to reel in newbie gamblers. It's certainly extremely worrying how many people are misusing leverage, though.

It is not about how people are misusing, but how they are not correctly using this feature and getting busted every time they leverage trade. Leverage is meant to lure highly addicted traders [gamblers] to their websites and make them deposit more and more after losing all their balance. They also allocate you a personal assistant who helps you in taking decisions in markets and tells you what to buy/sell. You need to trust me on this that you should never listen to these suckers, they will just make you lose in 3 trades and will show us the disclaimer afterwards that they just gave us opinions and the rest decision was ours only.
That's the usual case. Actually in leverage trading if ever our margin balance exhaust above 80% they send us various mails informing us to increase our margin balance which only is possible by depositing some more funds or closing/changing the position. Many traders(especially newbies) make a mistake by depositing more funds just to increase their liquidation price and this is where they are trapped.

Markets move in opposite direction and this leads them to lose every single buck onto the leverage account. That is a major risk associated with leverage trading and hence mostly, newbies should try to go for leverage trading. This would mostly only land them in loss as leverage trading can highly be compared with gambling where your luck plays an important factor.
3540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Assess your gambling addiction level. on: February 20, 2020, 07:22:49 AM
A well written self-evaluating procedures. Good work OP!

I just wonder all these are your own thoughts or you referred or copied from any professional practitioners? (I am sorry to ask this but you have not included any external references so I assume all are your own thoughts from this you sound like a rehabilitation professional who evaluate the physiological things like this type of examples and statements).

Hope you will come with more these types of physiological related things so that this gambling community will go for self assessments more frequently because I believe doing this kind of self-evaluation things may help them to prevent all gambling dangers at least some minimum level too.
