3521  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat banks and the government. on: November 19, 2021, 09:28:00 AM
A recent situation in my country where the banks have been instructed to block accounts related/associated with crypto trading has prompted me to start thinking if these banks are actually happy carrying out government policies against their customers, because some of them seem not too happy about it but look to have little or no choice on the matter.

Can the banks challenge the policies from the government? Are the banks working for the people or the government? is there any possibility that banks can operate freely entirely from government policies?

(Read news article here)

Why would Banks want to work against the "hand" that protects them? The government used tax payers money to bailout the Banks, when they nearly collapsed.. and these Banks know that.

The Reserve Banks manipulate interest rates to favor Banks and they print the money that generate income from fees for the Banks. So there are zero chance that any Banks will ever go against the will of their governments.  Roll Eyes
3522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining and energy on: November 19, 2021, 08:18:35 AM
The (competition) will never tell you that they are wasting a lot more energy than Bitcoin mining. They will never tell you how "dirty" their payment option is, when it comes down to the small details. (Metal for coins need to be mined and then refined and only then can those coins be minted.)

Fiat currencies need to be transported... (fuel) ..it needs to be kept safe in vaults with 24/7/365 days of CCTV that are using a lot of electricity. The ATM's use electricity .... the card machines are using electricity... etc... etc.

This discussion should compare apples with apples.. and not apples with strawberries.  Roll Eyes
3523  Economy / Economics / Re: US could run out of cash as soon as Dec. 15, Janet Yellen warns on: November 19, 2021, 06:16:54 AM
So it really does not matter if the debt ceiling is increased or not... the outcome will be the same. The government cannot honor it's commitments and the tax payers become the safety net again.  Roll Eyes  The only negative impact will be market sentiments... but who will worry about that? (The US are one of the strongest economies in the world and they have bounced back from several "near" market crashes before)

Also if all fails... WAR is the solution. These wars give them unlimited funds to stimulate the economy and to create jobs for the unemployed. (Cannon fodder for the rich and powerful)  Roll Eyes
3524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First decentralized Gambling Platform? on: November 19, 2021, 05:56:43 AM
The whole idea behind "decentralized" platforms is ...

1. Increased security ( A centralized platform is a easy target for DDoS attacks and hacks)
2. Freedom - Governments cannot take it down easily.
3. No Centralized control (A corrupt entity cannot influence decisions)

So is this "decentralized gaming platform" really decentralized if the owners are known and also the location of their operation? Can they be taken down? (yes) ...are they really free? (no)  Roll Eyes
3525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption Report Card - Year 12 on: November 19, 2021, 05:28:53 AM
So what "better" medium of exchange are the middle class using?

1. Fiat currencies - Well most fiat currencies are printed like toilet paper and losing it's value. (Controlled by governments)
2. Credit cards - Debt / high fees / Charge backs / fraudulent transactions / Controlled by Banks / Credit card scams
3. Debit cards -  Controlled by Banks / High fees / Slow transactions between different Banks / fraud

No my friend... try again... your argument and comments are full of holes and fallacies.  Wink
3526  Economy / Economics / Re: Introducing a state-issued cryptocurrency on: November 18, 2021, 11:18:41 AM
I think its a good decision by government.. What you guys think about it?

What are you smoking?

All Crypto currencies or digital currencies that are controlled by a centralized entity or a government is doomed to failure. We have first hand evidence of this with fiat currencies that are being manipulated and printed like toilet paper.  Roll Eyes

A centralized entity will have full control over the supply and also the transactions that are done or not being allowed on these platforms. (They can block transactions / wipe out the history of specific transactions / add transactions / confiscate people's tokens ...etc.. etc.)

This is sooooo wrong!
3527  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Sponsor - UFC Official Betting Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: November 18, 2021, 06:22:31 AM
I am a bit disappointed today, because one of my favorite Slots on Stake has been hijacked by the highrollers on Stake. Mount Magmas was one of the slots on Stake that grabbed the attention of a lot of smaller gamblers with huge dreams. You could bet as low as $0.20 and still had a chance to win the daily Jackpot.

Unfortunately highrollers like @Whale20 has now figured out how to win it every other day and they are milking it to death. (crushing the hope of the smaller gambler to win these jackpots)  Sad   (The more you win it, the more you will win it with their strategy)

I hope the developers (Push Gaming) can fix this loophole to make it more fair towards everyone that are playing this Slot. (Bigger Stake wins / Predictable payout times)  Angry

Please Stake... look into this loophole and make it fair for everyone....  Wink

3528  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fairspin.io | Blockchain Casino to Play & Earn on: November 18, 2021, 05:35:36 AM
This casino tick a lot of my good boxes, but unfortunately I do not like all the strict KYC/AML requirements that needs to be done, before you can play.  Roll Eyes  There are loads of fun sites like this, with most of these features.. that require almost zero verification.. so it is an easy decision to make.

The main goal of Crypto currencies was to have some form of pseudo anonymity to protect you from hackers and criminals and to give you some privacy for your financial matters... but tokens like this goes directly against these principles.  Sad
3529  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: November 17, 2021, 05:25:40 PM
#OP, I think one of the plus points with a thread like this is that casinos are very competitive and when they see that someone are actually posting their fees in a comparison like this .... they re-think those percentages and they change it to be more competitive.  Wink

I always thought Stake adjusted the fees ...based on the type of coin you are withdrawing from their platform and not a standard fee for all withdrawals that are done.   Huh Wink

Thanks for this valuable information.  Wink

Karl, please thank Rachelle Bulalacao for a very informative article.... I cannot wait for a burst of VR games in online casinos, because it brings the experience online... closer to the experience you have in a Brick n Mortar casino.  Wink

The smartwatch casino concept looks very interesting, because people walk around with these smart watches 24/7. I am also glad that all these innovations are going to be linked to AI that will improve responsible gambling. (addiction detection)  Wink

Now, you guys must just provide "Cocktail deliveries" to the gamblers at home and we will never have to walk into a Brick n Mortar casino ..ever again.  Wink
3531  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Veterans and Legendaries: Need Advice on my Bitcoin Strategy on: November 17, 2021, 05:40:32 AM
I have been buying and selling bitcoin and other Crypto currencies for many years and I think the best strategy for me was this.

1. Buy the dip! (Not small amounts every week... rather save that fiat until the price drop and buy the dip)
2. Sell some coins when the price reach or surpass a new ATH. (Take some profits, this experiment might fail and you end up with no profit)
3. Never sell ALL your Crypto currencies. (One of them might go to the Moon, so you have to wait for it to happen)

This has been a very succesful strategy for me and I will never regret not taking profits and not having any Crypto currencies when it goes to the Moon!
3532  Economy / Gambling / Re: LTC Casino (ltccasino.com) - most fair crypto casino with highest RTP on: November 16, 2021, 04:57:40 PM
Why did you choose the domain ltccasino.com if you are also accepting other Crypto currencies? (Looking at the name, I expected you to only accept LiteCoin)

"Maximum withdrawal amount processed to a player is 0.2 BTC per day, 0.5 BTC per week and 1 BTC per month or equivalent in other currencies, unless otherwise specified in the promotional Terms & Conditions, where exceptions can be made to players with a higher VIP status. Your withdrawals will be processed as soon as possible." <=== From their ToS

So...... so much for "Instant Withdrawals" ....... and a lot of limitations on the amounts you can withdraw.  Roll Eyes
3533  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-12] Miami will hand out free Bitcoin to residents from profits on city on: November 16, 2021, 08:29:20 AM
OP, the title is "Clickbait" .... they are not going to give away bitcoins... but rather profits that was accumulated from the CityCoin they were selling. While this is a great innovation to fund local municipalities, it should be linked to use cases associated with local businesses.  Roll Eyes

If the buyers of these coins are local tax payers, it could be perceived as double taxes... right? In any way, paying a double tax and getting dividents on those taxes are a win ..win situation for everyone involved.  Wink
3534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids into Cryptocurrency Mining on: November 16, 2021, 06:05:10 AM
It is unfortunate when the world has changed so much that kids at that age has to focus on "making money" and not on growing up and being a child. There is nothing wrong with kids being taught new skills and showing innovation, but pushing them into early adulthood is unhealthy.. and it will cause problems in years to come. (early burnout)

Kids should focus on school work and participating in Sport and also socializing with friends and family, not working to pay the bills. Having an Investment Banker as a parent, explains a lot about their situation. (focus will be on "money" and "profits")  Roll Eyes
3535  Economy / Gambling / Re: Multidice.io | The multi-currency dice game | 35+ cryptos on: November 15, 2021, 01:11:29 PM
Wow... your site is brand new ..based on your stats ==> https://multidice.io/resources/stats  - 12 Users ( I like the transparency of the site from the start, because some sites are hiding these stats and they cut and run when someone win something big )

Just check the "Provably fair" spelling in the option to test the Provably fairness of the site. You used "Probable Fair" in the option and that might say something else. (There is a difference between probably fair (might be) and provably fair, which means that you give proof of the fairness of the bets.  Wink

3536  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that Mt Gox funds are going to get released? on: November 15, 2021, 12:19:00 PM
I am curious ....

How much of those bitcoins will be paid to the lawyers and trustees and accountants that worked on this case for years? The thing that usually happens in group lawsuits like this is the following :

1. The expenses are deducted and the victims get a small percentage of their losses.
2. The people (lawyers) get the majority of the money and the victims get almost nothing.
3. No interest is paid on the money that was lost.

We know only a small amount of the actual coins lost, was recovered... so the victims can only get a small percentage of everything that was recovered.  Roll Eyes
3537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Religion and Finance [Bitcoin] Overlap and Clash on: November 15, 2021, 05:37:00 AM
It will be interesting to see what will happen if Bitcoin or any other Crypto currency for that matter.. become a global currency. We know the Muslims love money, so will they haram that global currency too? All currencies have a speculative side to it, they call it Forex trading.... so is that haram too?  Grin Grin Grin

These Clerics should stick to religious matters and leave financial matters to the experts.... but I think if someone donates a couple of 1000 of bitcoins to them, they will gladly accept it. (hypocrisy at it's best)  Wink

3538  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrobetting.eu - Unmatched BTC Betting and Entertainment ⚾⚽ on: November 14, 2021, 03:17:49 PM
There is nothing shady about that. Our terms of service state that bonuses can be ceased at any time; in this case, the player took several bonuses before, we had no issues whatsoever and credit each and every cent corresponding to reload bonuses.

Although, we determined the user wasn't a recreational player (based on some patterns, action and odds taken), so we contacted the player to inform him that while would allow his action, all bonuses were suspended. The player agreed to new terms given and confirmed this via email.

It was not an arbitrary decision, we took the time to discuss the situation with the user. It is also unlikely to happen to any player, like some of you are suggesting. We are open to review each case and discuss the possibilities, just keep in mind there's always two sides of a story.

Stay well.

Including an open ended clause in your Terms and conditions with a "Kill switch" that can be pulled when someone is winning too many bets.. is shady in my opinion. In any way.. you have way too many rules ==> https://nitrobetting.eu/rules-regulations/?=sport-rules .... it is like navigating a minefield.  Roll Eyes

The majority of the other Online Sport gambling sites just limit the users that are deemed to be professionals.... they do not pull stunts like this. Wasted a few hours of my time on your site and it was not worth it. Bye bye..... Roll Eyes
3539  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto for the development of local farmers...can.....? on: November 14, 2021, 12:59:57 PM
The reason why those shitcoins fails is simple.... it has no other use case, so the farmers and people buying those tokens cannot do anything with it. Instead of creating a bunch of shitcoins, why not just use Bitcoin with 1000's of merchants and people wanting it.  Roll Eyes

A lot of these shitcoins are created by the developer to "pump n dump" the tokens and for quick profits. The "agriculture" use case is just a selling point to get people to buy it.  Roll Eyes
3540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 14, 2021, 09:08:59 AM
I have recently seen a TikTok video of Mike Tyson sparring "practice fighting" and he looks great... just have a look at this Youtube video of him preparing for the fight ==> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy7s-ct-qqA

I think Logan Paul is creaming his pants, because I predict a Knockout in the first round for him, because Mike Tyson will not want to go all the rounds to the end at his age.  Cheesy
