Another win @stadus, thanks for the pick, I'm glad I followed on the Mavericks, I got ML too.
Unfortunately, I also bet on the over, so it's not really a profitable day.

Clippers is the only one that saved me with live betting. My early picks are not hitting the right mark again.
Anyway, cheers to all the winners and all who took -9.5 early game max spread for the Clippers. Just not enough for me to cover all the loss.  Sad
Clippers on strong domination,  Lakers did not even reach 100 points in this game and it was a big win by the Clippers.
It's expected as no Lebron and Davis did not play in the entire game.

This project has been active since last year and unfortunately I only found out now. I hope to contribute to the community for the growth of Bitgesell. Analyzing prices, there is certainly room for growth if the community raises awareness of this project.
This is the best time to attract the investors, and what they are doing is just right, having some promotion in the forum would really help raise awareness. However, there's a big problem for now, and that is the no stability of trading volume as you can see in https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitgesell/

They probably need to add more exchanges after https://www.hotbit.io/ was compromised.. until now it's still in maintenance.
3523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 06, 2021, 09:51:39 PM
Remember Cavs? Dude managed to get Tristian Thompson, Della, JR freacking Smith, Kevin Love all get paid way way way more than what they are worth, and that made him loved by his teammates as well. He is doing that same here, Kuzma is not a great player everyone knows this, but he is also not a terrible player neither and people saw something in him.
Yeah, I read Kuzma also had a dinner with Kobe to talk about basketball, Kobe didn't do that with Ingram, nor D'lo, nor Randle, but he did that with Kuzma as well.

He may not be a great player, but he is definitely a good role player at the very least, and points are not the only things, there are other stats and there are other things not even stats show that could be good, Kuzma is definitely a good role player thanks to all those tangibles.

Just look at this way, Lakers wasted good players like Clarkson and Randle, they are not right all the time. Look at these two now, if they only stayed with the Lakers and their talent were appreciated, they could be a big help to the team with Lebron playing, actually they don't anymore need AD, they can give these two a good contract.

Both players have the potential eversince, they are just young back then and remember Clarkson got the chance playing with LeBron
back then, he got the shot playing at the finals with LeBron last Cavs championship appearance.

Management are the one who's responsible for trading players, but in some occasions players like LeBron have a strong influence
choosing who he wanted to play with.
Maybe on most occasions, I guess. Remember that Lebron got coach Blatt fired in the Cavaliers and was replace by Lue and it turns out it's a good decision as the Cavaliers won a championship that time.

Just like how AD and Drummond are now playing beside him.

Drummond is valuable, if the Lakers will not get what they expect for Drummond, then expect that he will be traded again. It sounds like Drummonds stats have dropped when he joined the Lakers, and Lakers were struggling with him.
3524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is back? BTC is 57k on: May 06, 2021, 01:48:48 PM
If it will be stable at $57k, that would be a good position for bitcoin of staying there but I doubt that it will be staying there for a long time. It's always as volatile as it is and won't really that have time to stay there.
Probably it is struggling to get back at its last ATH but it will be back there anytime soon.
In fact, with bitcoin being stable, it is good for bitcoin itself to move forward, the most important thing is to provide altcoins to develop and it is evident that with the stability of bitcoin, many renewable ATHs have been formed from altcoins at this time and of course will excite the bounty.

for bitcoin itself at the current price is to prepare itself for a move to increase again, there may even be an attempt to break through $ 75K which is a crucial number that bitcoin has not been able to penetrate, once it can be penetrated there will be a better movement from bitcoin.

It's altcoins season now, people does not look on bitcoin, hence bitcoin is a bit stable now as the money is moving on altcoins. DOGE is the most profitable altcoins so far IMO, or maybe BNB but DOGE is so hype as this coin does not have a fundamental, so it's just a hype that will come and go.

I still doubt if bitcoin will crease a new ATH, it has tried many times but still failed.
3525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [DOGE] Dogecoin looks ready for a little gamble on: May 06, 2021, 01:24:25 PM
I just put a  little  money in that coin, the chart looks like it follows to the perfection the infamous "Wall Street cheat sheet".

Just compare and think what could happen around next summer?
Till next summer? I guess you might have adopted dogecoin for long term plans but I guess most people here are having only for short term trading plans with dogecoins. Still I agree that you may go with those chart pattern recognition which will be definitely helpful on identifying where market will turn. If you are good in technical analysis then definitely you will become highly successful with any reputed coin and not just with dogecoins. So, those wall street cheat codes are just part of general technical analysis hence you can make use of them for any coin and even for short term trading as well.
Tike Myson has held from 2017, he has already made a fortune now if he did not sell his DOGE early. one can acquire 1 million DOGE for only 1000 USD in 2017 and could sell it at $1 million if DOGE will reach $1 soon, that is a life-changer, a real fortune for us if we decided to hold this long.
3526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 06, 2021, 10:54:10 AM
I am for John Riel Casimero in this match. I would have easily chosen Guillermo Rigondeaux had this fight been staged during his peak. I was a fan of this guy's unbelievable speed even though I still find many of his fights a little boring. But he's an old man now.

The last time I saw Rigondeaux fight was when he was defeated by Loma. I know he scored a couple of knockout wins later on but I don't think he still got it. Casimero, on the other hand, is on a KO streak since 2018.

That's a good point, Casimero is one of the hottest boxers now, an underrated boxer but could win against a champion. I would also pick him in this fight, no doubt he could win and might win a KO here. The last loss of Rigondeaux was  TKO because he did not continue, this could be his 2nd KO, but hopefully not in a manner he lost against Loma.

We expect a good fight, Casimero had a tougher challenge compared to Inoue... This is a statement that Casimero is not afraid of anyone, besides he is not undefeated so there's nothing to be worried about, being a great boxer does not automatically mean you are undefeated, for me, you are called great if you are exciting to watch, that's why people choose Pacquiao vs Mayweather.
3527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 06, 2021, 09:44:09 AM
There's no argument that coach Austria really did a very good job on towing SMB to a record 6 consecutive AFC title and we have to give credit for that but i'm also imagining what if it is coach Tim Cone that handle the career of Junemar. I remember him saying that he love to coach JMF and even introduced the gentle giant to the Dallas Mavs scout to see if he have the potential to play in the NBA. Like i've said, one or two grand slams for SMB if coach Tim did the coaching job of SMB, just my thought  Smiley.

Both are good coach, but IMO, coach Tim is the better coach here since every team he handles, he always give success. AFAIR, he handles, Alaska, Magnolia and now Ginebra, he won a championship in that teams.
3528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders - May 8 on: May 06, 2021, 08:46:31 AM
This is a great match. The two have a nice background in boxing industry. They hold several titles which make me think that the match will be worth the time to see. Both are skilled and are almost on the same level of strength. However, I think that this match will be in favor of Canelo Alvarez.
True, this is really a good match, although Canelo is the favorite to win this, I'm sure that Saunders will have his time, maybe he can win some rounds.
It's hard to expect that against Canelo, but let's see.
I'm excited, the fight will happen 2 days from now and it should be a great fight, better than the last fight of Canelo where he could still win.

Canelo Alvarez has fought some widely-known, great boxers in the past. He has fought with Floyd Mayweather, Kovalev, Miguel Cotto, and many more. Though there are some opponents that he had a hard time fighting with, but he still managed to overcome them and win the match. Billy joe Saunders on the other hand has a good reputation as well in boxing. He fought with David Lemieux which I think highlighted and showcased his strength and ability among all of his matches. They will surely make the match intense and interesting to watch.
Forget about the Floyd fight though, Canelo is still very young and inexperience when he fought Floyd. Kovalev and Cotto though, it was a great show for us. And I think you forget about the GGG fight, I think it shows how Canelo is, he takes GGG 0, but others have doubt though, the fight should be at least 1-1 in majority of boxing fans.
Being young is not an excuse, once prior to Mayweather's fight, he was already undefeated, but it was too easy for Mayweather to beat him, he was outbox and got schooled, so let's just accept the fact that Mayweather is on another level.
3529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 05, 2021, 09:53:53 PM
Rigondeaux got a good standing and the same as Casimero. But I'm still not yet familiar with Rigondeaux's fighting style but his record tells one thing, that he's also a good fighter as Casimero.
You should watch some youtube highlights of his, for sure you'll be amaze how good he is defensively and at the same time, I'm afraid you'll feel bored on his boxing style.

Well, Casimero is a Filipino Fighter same as Manny Pacquiao --their pride is enough to take advantage and win against any contenders.
But in boxing, pride is not enough. You need strength to fulfill the pride.
They're known for it and I agree it's not enough but the usual thing, training and experience makes them strong fighters.
I'm thinking, if Casimero beat Tete, there's no reason he can't beat Rigondeaux here, but I'm telling you, Casimero won't get the odds of the heavy favorites here. By saying "heavy", for me it means odds like 3/1 and up.
3530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: May 05, 2021, 09:36:33 PM
What an very interesting fight, seeing again Floyd Mayweather entering the ring is giving me an excitement to watch the fight although it is just an exhibition fight

I don't understand where's the excitement there wherein Floyd Mayweather will fight a Youtuber and internet personality.

I don't mind if it's an exhibition match or not but the real excitement is a battle within the same league.

That's why others said that Mayweather is killing the art of entertainment in boxing. A good tactic to earn money without a hassle.

That's right, at least Mayweather fight a real boxer, not a popular YouTuber, however, it's his decision and it's up to us if we will support this kind of exhibition, without us, this would not be successful and there will be no more fights like this in the future. It's really easy for him as his opponent has not experienced winning in a boxing match yet based on his record, but Floyd is an undefeated fight at different championships, which means easy form him or easy money.
3531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: May 04, 2021, 09:57:08 PM
Lol, the odd is so bad. It is 1.04 currently for Floyd, so when you bet $100 you will only get $4.
I'd rather play slots Grin
Your chances of loosing money in slots are higher than betting on Floyd - Paul fight Cheesy 4 bucks is always a 4 bucks.

Maybe that sounds true,  but this is gambling, so we will never know the outcome. Rig games even happening in any sports, exhibition fights should not be an exemption. For me, I would not take that 4% win betting on Mayweather, that doesn't look good for me, too big to risk for a small percent of win, I better bet on crypto as the market is very volatile now.
3532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 04, 2021, 09:31:27 PM
I don't think he will be traded after this season since he is doing his job with his role to keep the team in its current spot in the NBA playoffs. But still, there are a handful of games left. He needs this chance to prove that he is one of the key players on the team so that he won't be traded to the other teams.

Kuzma is inconsistent but he is doing great coming from the bench. He won't be traded at least for 2-3 seasons unless if anything goes wrong. Lakers needs a like of him as their second squad.

The Lakers are rebuilding a young core but they need to secure their future if Lebron James will now finally retired. That's why they force to trade their young players to Anthony Davis since there's no improvement at those players involved even playing for the Lakers for several seasons.

Lebron won't retire anytime soon, unless he is seriously injured that it would already affect a major part of his performance, like what happened to Kobe. it's a business, if they see someone not fit anymore to the team, then they will be end of contract or will be traded, that's so simple, and Kuzma is no exception to that.
3533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: May 03, 2021, 09:33:14 PM
Gambling is like trying your luck on what is unpredictable. Whether you win or lose that's what your fate gives you. Gambling shouldn't be taken as a do-or-die affair whereby you must win. You win some and lose some but the losing is quite more than the winnings.
It's quite extraordinary to be winning always in gambling. Gamble when you're supposed to but not hopping on it for your daily income
making people rich quickly is one of the attractions of people to play gambling, but the fact is that very few people are rich just by gambling because we can see now that gambling will only create poverty in my opinion besides being rich, someone playing gambling only a place to find joy and when he wins it seems to be one of pride for him and when he loses, he seems to be challenged to come back to play and try to win so that this is what makes people addicted to gambling and difficult to stop, even though gambling is not a thing good and of course a lot of bad effects that will happen to those who are addicted to in gambling.

I doubt that's the mentality of most gamblers, I believe most of the gamblers are responsible enough and have the basic knowledge that it's always impossible to get rich in gambling. Maybe they like to earn fast money as gambling can provide that if you are lucky, but they know they would not make it in the long run, unless a gambler himself is exceptional who can make a living in gambling, well, that's my dream though.
3534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is back? BTC is 57k on: May 03, 2021, 09:19:21 PM

Ethereum is mooning. So much buying pressure that's impressive. I can see it shooting through the 4k USD mark and then even 5k USD.

That is not surprising at all, the altcoin season is already here, it's normal to see altcoins pumping, ETH could reach 4k or 5k.. it's easy in the bullish season.

Quote
It's possible that Ethereum will now close the gap to Bitcoin and even get close to it. Where will Bitcoin dominance be in four weeks from today?
It will never be close as bitcoin will always be the king in the market, if altcoins had a run and bitcoin will dump, you know what's the effect, it's not good to see as the market will certainly bleed.
3535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is back? BTC is 57k on: May 01, 2021, 07:44:09 PM
The bull market never leaves, what we saw was just a minor correction, and it's already bouncing back now.

Still, we cannot confirm the price will rise until bitcoin will break to $60k and will create a new ATH.

You already make money investing this time, just continue what you are doing, you can still make more. Don't doubt yourself if you believe what you are doing is right, for other people your profit is just a dream to achieve, lucky for you you made a big profit already.
3536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: May 01, 2021, 07:25:08 PM
It's been proven that gambling positive accomplishments trigger the very same areas of the brain that get fired when we are happy for something. On the opposite side, when losing those bad events trigger the worst anxious and depressed responses. Given that, be careful when you gamble beyond your limits since you can get lost.

This statement is correct, once we get out of our limit, that's when the problem will start. Being emotional in gambling will only put ourselves at high risk, it's understandable that we want to win more if we are lucky, however, it's impossible that luck will always be in our side all the time, so how would we react if time will come that we lose and we gamble beyond our limit, I think this one is the hardest part to handle.
3537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: May 01, 2021, 07:04:34 PM

However, that would drop from time to time so probably a $3 fee is still fine and will be confirm in less than 24 hours.
Sometimes you could get away with a $1 fee, I remember few days ago the recommended fee from electrum was hovering somewhere at 15-20 sats/vB.

Exactly, but as what I said, you need to do it with the right timing and patience is necessary.

However,  you also have a good point, not everyone can wait, some people just want to gamble right away and they will use altcoins instead rather than waiting until the fee of bitcoin will dump.

Not all would really be having that kind of patience which its true that some can wait and some cant.So its up to someones self control on when they would play in spite of the high fees.

We can really able to do so since there are altcoins but there are players whom do much prefer on using bitcoin directly when they do play which means its either they deal with the fee stuff
or would simply wait for the network to subside.

Actually this is a hard situation for gamblers whom do really make use of bitcoin because they would really be needing to deal with the fees.

But they are not forced to use bitcoin in gambling, most gambling sites now have added a lot of altcoins already as they have already anticipated that fees will increase and gamblers will have to pay for a high fee which is not helping them. Gamblers have to be smart, use other alternatives in order to save from fees, besides, I believe that everyone knows how to trade, then if we have BTC, we just simply trade it to altcoins at our choice then we are good to go.
3538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: May 01, 2021, 06:03:12 PM
Since when is fate assisting you in winning? There's no such thing as fate, if you believe that your actions are driven by some other force, you're definitely going the wrong way, in terms of gambling. Most games, are a simple game of odds/probabilities. What's the probability of winning a Dice game with 75% win chance? It means that by playing 4 games, you are LIKELY to win 3 of them.
The result of a session doesn't match with the probability all the time. Obviously fate exist in gambling. While a player hit bigger payout within few rolls then it is addressed as fate. But everything will depend on probability if we play for so long. Most of the gambler doesn't rely on probability, they want to get early wins and lucky sessions. Which depends on fate. And a good control will help to maintain profit if you win anything luckily.

I have managed to recover and made profit by placing rage bets few many times. Also I have experienced both more and less losing streak while playing. I believe every gambler has gone through this situation. And gambler take it as fate/luck.
I think it's true that we just do it on luck and with a better destiny when the initial winning session arrives, even if we play for a long time it's no wonder this in luck it will be destroyed if it continues to play long at the core when the initial win is big it means that it is said with luck that your destiny is better at that moment.

When you are able to recover in a bet that cannot be recovered, then here I think fate is the one that determines because nothing will be a big win or just a little luck?

Think about luck and you'll lose in the long run, luck is good if you are aiming for a big-time win that will satisfy you, but if you are talking about long term success in gambling, you need some consistency to win most of the time, and you should not focus on games that have a big house edge to be able to utilize your skills in gambling.
3539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: May 01, 2021, 05:40:54 PM
in my opinion, it is not too high, sir. There are very many Doge that has been circulating and held by its users now, especially since there is support from both the investors who use it. and I am sure Doge will improve its performance over time.

It has already improved, what more can you ask?

DOGE is overpriced due to the fact that its hype at the moment, without Elon Musk tweet, DOGE will never reach at this price as it's just a joke coin, but turns out now that it's a hidden gem that we just disregard before, but I don't really think it will last longer, this hype will die and DOGE will dump big time.
3540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: May 01, 2021, 04:45:46 PM
They'd be fighting for the chance to fight Manny, that's for sure. Although of course they both have the age advantage that sometimes puts Manny Pacquiao to a standstill. Then again, with proper training and newfound knowledge the pound-for-pound king will be able to beat his opponent by knockout, as it is not usual that he beats opponents by mere scoring, which definitely means that when Manny hits, he hits hard as crap.
His knockout percentage has already dropped, but in the last fight against Thurman, that's a statement that he still has the power, if an opponent is not as durable as Thurman, then we might see a KO win by Manny which will only make the undefeated champions to stay away from him. Manny has matured, he is more careful in fighting now, he knows he is not getting any younger so he is using his experience effectively to win a fight.
