3521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: March 25, 2013, 06:24:40 PM
i finally got my 7970s working at 740+ KH/s it is now running for few hours, they were crashing at the start till i got the right voltage with the right Freq. i have 3 rigs which has 5x 7970 and 2x 5970 and 6970 i am pulling a total of 5700 Kh/s , i use around 2400 W/h for all rigs together so this puts me at  2.375 h/w, for the rig where i have 4 x 7970s it runs about 3000 kh/s and consume about 1100 w/h so it is about 2.72 h/w which is some how fear , the 7970 temp are around 55 C° with 3 C° ambient , i have all fans running at 85%.

the only thing i hate about the cards i have are the fans , they are a sapphire Dual-x, each card has 2 fans , and they are really shitty fans , they are around 6 months old, they were used only for mining (btc , now LTC) and  2 fans in different cards has already failed, for that reason i do not recommend this model , sometimes i wish if i bought the reference cards as my 5970 are and 6970 are reference cards and they were heavily used but didn't have any problem with them yet.

Oh man what is wrong with people?  Best of luck getting back up from under this attack - I'm not going to bother switching pools temporarily so I hope they get bored soon enough.
neither me  Grin they will get bored in some point, BTW it is not only notroll there is some miners on other pools complaining as well , for some reason i am thinking that some one trying to play with the diff.factor
3525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining vs BitVisitor - why bother mining? on: March 24, 2013, 09:00:23 PM
I mine with 2 nVidia GPUs, I am in it for the long run - I expect "final" price at about 50 000 USD per BTC. So I don't care if I am not profitable right away, I can wait for it. Bitcoins are my pension fund :-) Btw I started mining in june 2011, till now I have 12,5 BTC

i will be billionaire by this logic , if you said 500 $ or even 1000 $ i would some how think ok maybe it is possible in the next few years, but 50,000 come on LOL

Rght yeah EU server is down aswell, since the DB is on the main server ... *sigh*
but i can see that i am submitting shares, maybe only the webserver is down ?

No - GPU (I think?).  Have two workers; one using GeForce 9400 and one using GeForce 9600 according to the GUIMiner info I'm seeing.

I'm no computer geek and frankly, don't even understand the whole bitcoin concept so am asking forgiveness in advance if I say anything too stupid.

 Tongue
even if you would use the best NVidia card on market now, you wouldn't make anything , it even may not pay for the mining costs and i am saying even if it is a GTX690 , Nvidia = loss of time and energy . ATI is much much better, but hey you did miss the train anyways , GPU mining is almost dead , Diff. factor just raised today about 38% and it will raise again after 2 weeks or less , and even with the Best ATI GPU you wont make any profit, ASIC Owners will be the new leaders of BTC mining ... so if you dont have ASIC just sit and watch, and  just to tell you even if you are thinking about ordering an ASIC... bad news my friend too late ... do the math and you will understand why

Yes, i agree with you, but i am trading LTC on BTC-E and they have the biggest volume , and realistic prices , so i trade LTC/BTC then deposit on another site and sell for fiat, this is the best way for me.
3531  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best way to turn bitcoins into cash (nothing super advanced im a nub) on: March 24, 2013, 04:31:40 PM
can coinbase be trusted?

im registering with them....

thank you for your replys

Bitstamp.net if you are in Europe is one of the best sites you can use to sell your BTC for fiat (USD,EURO) they take only 0.5% fee and they directly send the money to your account (SEPA transaction) with no identity confirmation, or document approval or all that shit , i did try it many times and it works for fine , although you have to be careful about the amount of money you are trying to send to your account , because than you will have to justify it to your government (Taxes and shit).
