3541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Ready for its Annual Rally? on: May 01, 2020, 08:43:05 PM
XRP sucks sooo much that while all coins have a green day, it has a red day. Sure when you look at the weekly one it looks like moved from .19 levels to .21 levels which is an increase to say the least, but bitcoin moved from 7.1k to 9.4k at the same period whereas ethereum moved from 180 levels to 230+ levels as well, so right now there is really no need to support XRP, it would have been one thing to support a corrupt coin just because you think you could make a profit from it, but it makes no sense to support a corrupt coin if you are not even making any money from it at all.

Hopefully you will realize that time for XRP has passed a lot as soon as the team decided they want to be a business instead of being a coin, that is why they only care about what happens to the company, nothing else.
3542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 01, 2020, 06:00:44 PM
There must be a level between Bill Laimbeer going up to hit someone in the head and acting like he did that to block the ball but just missed and hit the other player in the head, and James Harden getting a foul for basically breathing. It is not a neither nor level of deal, there is a big space between those two.

I know 2004 pistons had a situation with Pacers and that was bad, hell they even climbed the stands and attacked a player so they were definitely not nice, but that is literally the maximum limit I am saying that should be allowed, not the ideal situation where every team should be like that. If you want to talk about historically best defensive team, that is the maximum I can give you, Bad Boys would not be a defensive team in my mind, it would be just criminals disguised as basketball players.
3543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you committed, or considered committing, illegal act to finance gambling? on: May 01, 2020, 05:10:22 PM
It doesn't make any sense to ask this question at all. Let's assume someone actually did commit a crime to find a way to make money so they could gamble, do you really think that this topic will be the place they actually come clean? I mean all of our IP is registered and if we did anything illegal we could still be found, hell it is even possible for someone here to find who you are let alone theymos himself.

However it also doesn't make any sense at all to commit a crime to finance gambling, after all you are risking your own freedom by committing a crime and making money, why would anyone double down on that and lose all that money gambling? That would be like committing a crime for nothing at all, you are still guilty but now you have no money to show for it neither, makes no sense to me at all.
3544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: May 01, 2020, 04:05:04 PM
Losses should not mean so much for the teams at all, I understand teams that are already in financial dire situation even before this started but the big teams should not really be in trouble at all. I get it, there are billions of dollars at risk (when you combine all teams together) and that is a big revenue, however they are missing the long term.

If you do not force players to play and lose all that revenue, and even be in debt because of all the penalties you will get for not finishing the league, that will be only horrible for few seasons. Even if Barcelona has lets say 1 billion dollars loss of revenue AND one billion dollars in penalties that they have to pay, do you really think it should matter to them? Will they be suffering that 10-20 years from now? It will be all gone and forgotten totally, so that means only for few years they will suffer but eventually they will recover one day.
3545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 30, 2020, 07:14:05 PM
I am not saying do not have hard defense, I am saying there is a HUGE difference between hard defense and physically going after the players to injure. Go check out the bad boys era and how Laimbeer or Rodman played during those times, you will realize that more than any other player Laimbeer actually wanted to hurt people, literally go up to injure them if he can by the rules of the game.

Compare that to 2004 pistons, you think 2004 pistons wasn't hard defense team? Hell Rasheed Wallece was basically an enforcer as well, Ben Wallace was the best rim defender I can ever think of, dude was just insane, Prince had those looooooong arms that he can defend very well, basically all in all 2004 pistons was epitome of good hard defense that was amazing to watch, I would prefer 2004 pistons over any team in the league history because I love defense, however there should be a limit between hard defense and actually wanting to injure players, intention is where it is and if your intention is to play hard defense but you end up hurting someone mistakenly that's fine, you didn't want that to happen and it is basketball sometimes players gets injured, however if you really WANTED to injure a player, that is disgusting and that is why I love 2004 pistons but I hate 1988 Pistons, BIG HUGE difference.
3546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Coronavirus never happened on: April 30, 2020, 05:10:04 PM
We really don't know if these increases would have happened anyway if corona never happened. Some people say that we were around 10k before this started, and we have moved from 5k levels to over 7k, even close to 9k levels, so they say that this 3k increase would have happened on 9k so we would have been 13k. That is not how it works, the bigger the number the harder it gets, so that means we are not going to be increasing the same from 10k to 12k and 8k to 10k, those are two different 2k increases from each other.

In the end we are going to one day increase to high levels anyway, and corona did slowed us down, but let's not overreact because we are already very high once again, which means we are going to be doing fine with corona as well and nothing to worry about.
3547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to buy - question to Hodlers on: April 30, 2020, 10:59:40 AM
Buying Bitcoin every month is not really necessary. You had an opportunity to buy when the price of Bitcoin decreased due to the pandemic. The price dropped to as low as $3,800 and even below that, and that’s the perfect time for anyone that wants to invest in Bitcoin, and do so with a huge amount of money. Now the price is going up and if you didn’t you buy you have missed out.

You can still get in at this time and if you’re lucky you will make profit. The halving is already close and I don’t know where the market will be heading to after the halving, whether it’s going to drop or keep going up. Let’s wait and see.
3548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance vs Coinbase Pro on: April 30, 2020, 09:34:29 AM
Hello. I am having a hard time understanding why anyone would use Coinbase Pro for trading compared to Binance. What am I missing?

Coinbase Pro's fees are 0.5% for transactions below $10k. Binance charges 0.1%, or 0.075% if you have BNB. So if you made a $5,000 trade you would pay a $25 fee on Coinbase Pro and a $3.75 fee on Binance. What am I missing here? Why would anyone trade on Coinebase over Binance? How can they be competitive charges such high fees? Thanks.
I think it all depends on where you’re living. Take for example, for those living in the US, there is Binance.US and not the main Binance.com that you might be using. Binance.US compared to Coinbase Pro, both will have ways that they are better than each other for US traders.

In terms of Security, I think that the Coinbase Pro is better in handling their site than Binance. We all know that Binance was hacked for $40 million dollars not long ago (they were able to recover), but Coinbase has always be able to avoid every attack on their site. So it may also be that there are people who are considering things like this, and felt like Coinbase is better.

Another thing that may determine the exchange you choose can be the coin you’re trading. There are some coins that you can trade on Coinbase but wouldn’t see them on Binance, same thing with the other way round.
3549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Body Of Control? on: April 30, 2020, 06:51:06 AM
In a world where people are making use of the cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, the government will lose their power of course. And if there should be only one government, they will still work towards controlling and having power over bitcoin. That's what the government is all about, having control over everything and nothing else lol.

But, in a world where there is no government in power and people are free to act as they please lol, that will be a very bad world. I know that some people don't like the control that the government has over money, but it does have some advantage. But I prefer things as they are, I like that we are free to make use of Bitcoin any time we want.
3550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banking system on: April 30, 2020, 06:18:19 AM
I don't really know about this. But I'm thinking that Bitcoin might overtake Fiat in becoming a research currency. I have already seen a lot of countries that are talking about using Bitcoin as their reserve and these are mostly countries that were sanctioned by the US.

But in the case of replacing fiat completely, I don't really think that's going to happen, because we are all not going to be using the same currency. Every country will always have their own currency. So I am guessing that the government will create their own crypto version of fiat, and then Bitcoin will still be at the top as a reserve currency or something.
3551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of cryptocurrency on: April 29, 2020, 07:12:30 PM
I have been making use of cryptocurrency since 2015 and that's about six years now and I'm not going to stop, I will continue to make use of it. And as for how bitcoin has been helping me; well, I would say in lots of ways. Bitcoin is the first investment I have ever made and it worked out perfectly for me. I am not going to say it's because I got in early, there are still the possibilities of making good profit when you invest in Bitcoin now ,and that's if you do it the right way.

Finally, as for how I got to know about cryptocurrency: it was through a Facebook group, someone posted about bitcoin and they were talking about it, that's how I got to know about it and did my research.
3552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 29, 2020, 06:42:15 PM
I really do not think that Pistons way was good at all, maybe when you watch you might want some hard defense but we are not talking about hard defense, we are talking about actually wanting to injure other players, there is a HUGE difference between hardcore defense that 2004 Pistons or the Grit and Grind Grizzlies or even Pacers of 2005ish times had played and the defense of Bad Boys, they were just basically doing as much on the court as they can without it becoming criminal offense, if you actually jumped on somebody to hurt them and they broke their foot you would be at least jailed for a while until court hearing, probably would get some sort of punishment as well, but when they realized they could do that and not even get a slap on the wrist they started to actually hurt people.

"IF" they played today, they would basically be "lynched" by the social media PC world and just force Adam Silvers hands to punish them accordingly, otherwise there would be tons of "boycott NBA!!" type of twitter trends going on constantly.
3553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 29, 2020, 05:30:38 PM
They could stop the league as it is or continue the league behind closed doors

I wouldnt expect alot even if the league start without any crowd at all. Alot of players are staying at home as well and they are not as fit as they was so it could be kinda lame to see they play without any intense training as usual
Yeah, I would believe that the games will resume behind the close doors with just some camera crew and no fans at all.

The reason why some nations cancelled and some didn't is mainly political, some governments just wanted to make sure that they didn't get anyone killed, if you overreact to a pandemic nobody could ever possibly blame you (well somehow even THAT happened but I don't know why the hell did that happened) because that way you are protecting people, sure maybe you are overprotective but at least your excuse is understandable, if you let teams play however, that means as soon as one of them gets the virus or something goes wrong you are in big trouble. Hence, I understand governments who cancelled but I would love the leagues back as well.
3554  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19 will pave the way for CBDCs on: April 29, 2020, 04:35:10 PM
What are your thoughts? Will this be the era of CBDCs? Or is it still too early to tell?
Can you even prove what you have said? That people are practicing social distancing doesn’t mean that they will go for cryptocurrency, there are also other types of payment that people are making use of and they are all digital payments, it’s not just about cryptocurrency.

Where I live, most people are now making use of their banking apps when they want to make payments and some are making use of PayPal. I don’t see anyone that’s making use of cryptocurrency as a payment method; I know there are, but they are just few compared to the number of those that are making use of other payment methods
3555  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: April 29, 2020, 10:15:06 AM
As we see everyday many people are dying every day in Europe and America and their economy is going down every day and economy specialties are guessing that the USA will lose his position as economy king and china will take over and we are already seeing that china economy didn't drop much and there already making money in this crisis.
We really don’t know where things are heading to with this. Right now China is dominating in sales and not just in Africa like some have said here, but in other continents, especially in the Europe.

There are lots of countries in the Europe that have made huge purchase of test kits and as of recently Scotland made a huge order from a seller in China. If you do your research you will come to realize that most sales they made were not even coming from Africa, but from these other countries. China is supposed to compensate the world after everything that has happened, they should be blamed for it if you look out how everything started.
3556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: April 28, 2020, 03:23:01 PM
Everybody can’t make use of Bitcoin. For a start, a lot of these billionaires and millionaires will buy up the cryptocurrency and the majority who are poor wouldn’t have anything left. That aside. If it happens that we all start making use of cryptocurrency, there are some ways that it’s not going to be good. With cryptocurrency people will be able to do whatever they want and they will hardly be a means to trace them.

It is a decentralized currency and no one can control it, which means the government will also not be able to control it. I know that a lot of us here don’t like the fact that fiat is being controlled by the government. The control is important, except that they tend to misuse it.
3557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 JAN 2021 BTC WILL HIT 100K$ on: April 27, 2020, 05:00:46 PM
There is nothing that will make skyrocket the price of bitcoin or generally the market as a whole. Just because pandemic ends and just because the world will start to go back to work will not mean that the prices of everything will go back on. Everything will basically go back to how it was eventually but not really going to happen very shortly.

All the companies that went bankrupt after this and think about all the people that got fired as well. We are not going to suddenly start seeing everything go back to normal just because we are not in a normal situation and when pandemic is over there will be a lot of dead and a lot of bankruptcy. Hence I think there is no way we are getting to 100k at all. However there could be some recovery that's for sure.
3558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH hits $160, after a +11% gainer in the last 24 hours on: April 27, 2020, 04:27:20 PM
The price is around 200 dollars nowadays which shows how awesome it is getting. I know it is getting higher and that is awesome but at the same time we should be discussing why it is increasing as well and how we could replicate that. If you don't know when the price goes up the method it took to increase, you will not be able to do the same thing again and that means you are basically letting it be for the next time.

However if you learn what made it go up to 200 dollars nowadays, you will be able to use that again in the future to replicate this increase so you can keep it up and up all the time. I believe this increase was probably caused between the increase of bitcoin, but with the testnet 2.0 as well, that must have helped a bit to ethereum as well.
3559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA : Complete Domestic Competitions! on: April 26, 2020, 07:05:41 PM
I think there should be some distinction between players getting lesser money but at the same time teams still want to get back as well. So, either if leagues comes back that means players should get the 100% amount on their contract, or if they are not going to play they could get a cut.

If the players end up playing that means they shouldn't care about no fans on the arena or where the money is not coming, if teams are not getting money from different sources they normally gets, it doesn't matter to player because obviously they are doing what they are paid to do, they get paid to play and they end up playing which means it doesn't matter to them if teams are not getting the full money they were expecting.

If the company that hires me gives me a contract and then they lose some jobs, do they give me less money? No, they either fire me or they send me on unpaid leave, you can't both make me work and still pay less, same should go for the players as well.
3560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 26, 2020, 06:14:47 PM
Just because we want it to start doesn't mean the politician is wrong, starting the leagues back open again does send a wrong message. There are so many idiot people out in the world that Trump talked about injecting bleach to veins to maybe cure the patients, and after that over 300 people went to hospitals for drinking bleach, 4 of them died, so as you might imagine what you do as a nation changes way too much.

Of course bundesliga is not trump and bundesliga fans are not trump supporters, these will be smarter people and Germans so I am not expecting anything stupid from them, yet I still would say waiting maybe one more month wouldn't hurt anyone neither. I get it, teams wants to play and be done with this, but they are making it too quick, May is just too soon, June would have been a bit better.
