When a viable privacy alternative to Darkcoin exists, I'll be one of the first to diversify. Until then it is pointless in my view. I do not like the name Darkcoin, however, I see no viable alternatives.
The name will not change, get over it.  I have. No worries mate. I was just making the point I'm holding Drks despite the name. In fact, I bet you I'm one of the few people here who have never sold a single Drk in their lives. You are right  NEVER sold a single DRK too ! am getting more and they stay in the bag until ….. lets talk in December ….> |

If all cryptos go down the drain, then DRK is in trouble. But I think Cryptos are here to stay, and that means DRK is going to be at the top of the heap The crypto world has a lot of non professional investors who will sell much more easily, that's what I meant. A mere bird farts worth of FUD can cause a massive dump. Assuming it delivers the technical goods and continues to do as well as delivering on the PR front. The average person might find the name Bitcoin more family friendly than Darkcoin. The potential crypto market cap is very difficult to guess. 100-200 bn is a safe estimate number given the current world order. It is amazing that people (think they) have an issue with the name Darkcoin that was what attracted me to all of this. niche market, fight the system, be undercover, untraceable, the darker the better …….>>> |

I don't usually talk much about price, because honestly I don't really care. I'm mostly concerned with functionality and building something with real utility.
However, that's what the forums have been consumed with so here's my take on this. Darkcoin is six months old, last month we went from $0.77 to $15.00. It was literally four weeks long, and what goes up must come down. Crypto currencies grow in this way, it's actually normal. Next we'll form a base somewhere about here and things will get quiet before we make our next move to the upside.
I don't post all of the time because, I work insane amounts of time on Darkcoin. This is my job and when I'm posting I'm not coding. Plus, I'm an introvert and I really like putting on headphones and cranking out some code. It's what I do.
What's next?
Things will relax and I'll start perfecting the hard fork for the masternode payments, then RC3. When we're happy with that, I have contacts now all over the media that would love to do another article and update our progress.
Speaking of things coming down, that goes for X11Coin too. From the looks of it, you trust your money to the decentralized mixer by the way. They're pretty secretive about how it works, but that's what I gather from it. I'd love to get a response. DarkSend is trustless for a reason, you don't want the "XNodes" running off with the money.

DRK holders seem to have unreal expectations for price given where we are in the development cycle.
This is EXACTLY the problem. Version 0.10.8.11 - being treated with production-level expectations. Pressured the dev, and the expectations are fucking stupid... I really do NOT understand where this panic is coming from ? (that really shows you it is all children out there having no idea how this works) we were on the wrong fork for some hours, master node payments stopped for a while and everybody start crying and running ! grow some balls boys and girls !! we are still full on track, little hick up, but that is what NEW DEVELOPMENTS are all about ! and we are having a brand new development here ! Let me know when you grow the balls (you should have) for this game ! the rest …. keep selling and bye bye … we are happy to pick them up cheap ! |
