Stole your state of the mind artwork. Bummer!

Slow down, take a deep breath, and see if you can somehow string a sentence together. It's worth the effort because then maybe people will understand whatever it is you are trying to communicate with us.

I doubt people fall for those kind of application downloads or exe downloads. Even if something like that existed, primedice would shutdown the site the instant they find out something like that.

If people didn't fall for it he wouldn't keep posting that link. It has been going on for months now. You're underestimating just how dumb some people are.
3542  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.ME - CRYPTO CASINO - DICE - BLACKJACK - >100BTC MAX PROFIT - 1 YEAR OLD on: May 04, 2015, 08:46:00 PM
Were the refunds not done yet? I was told it would take a day or two but it has been much longer than that already.

Im really sorry for the delay. Ill let Alex know and im sure he will sort it out.

Thanks. Please let me know what he says about it.

I just tried some more blackjack, with a view to reproducing the bug, and found a different one:

I have 16 against a dealer 7. I clicked 'hit' and it told me I wasn't allowed to do that!

Edit: that was hand 40636, I clicked 'hit' a second time, got a J and busted...

Edit2: the game still isn't auto-standing on soft 21:

Edit3: I just saw the 'you can not do this' bug again, trying to hit my 8 vs. dealer 9:

That was game 40799, and again I just tried again and it did let me hit:

Edit4: the same bug again, trying to 'hit' and it told me I couldn't do it:

That was game 40838, and it did let me hit when I just tried a 2nd time, as it did the previous 2 times it happened as well:

I didn't get to test the double-after-split thing, since it never came up, but at least I did find a new issue.
3543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is your strategy on dice sites? on: May 04, 2015, 06:41:02 PM
That photo is at least a few years old. 7000BTC back then wasn't what it is right now.

It is not a few years old but just 1.5 years old. That 7000 btc was still worth a whooping $800,000 at that moment.

O god 7000 btc lose in gambling...may be its site admin?

I don't think Dooglus is dumb enough to lose his mind on gambling lol.

Both great points. BTC was worth around half then what it is now, so it was still a huge loss.

And what 0n0t0le probably doesn't realise is that the site didn't profit 7000 BTC from that bet because the bankroll was provided by hundreds of individual investors. The 7000 BTC that was lost was instantly distributed to the people funding the site's bankroll. It would have the site owner thousands of BTC in payouts to the bankrollers just to have a big fake bet show up for a while.

You can read the story leading up to that 7000 BTC loss in chat log format. He started with ~2k, worked in up to ~7k before losing it all. Also, "So I just spent 2 hours in a dumpster". Read it...

There's a guy advertising a program that he claims can let you win 100% of the time at PrimeDice and other sites.

It's a coin-stealing trojan, so be careful.

See this thread for his ad. (Edit: thread seems to have been deleted now)
See this screenshot for how the fake cheating tool looks.
And go here to provide feedback on his activities to help others not fall victim to his scam.
3545  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: May 04, 2015, 06:13:14 PM
https://thebitcoinstrip.com/leaderboard.html Has a good list, if you eliminate FortuneJack, CasinoBitco.in, Betcoin.tm  for having obviously incorrect stats (like instantaneous jumps of 1M btc wagered).

Is there a thread about those sites cheating like that? Is there a site that charts the stats over time to make such jumps more visible?

People look at the amount wagered to get an idea of how much volume a site has handled. Busier sites feel more trustworthy, etc. If they're deliberately inflating their number to make themselves look better that's a serious red flag I would say.

Ill have a look and try replicate the split issue and see if it happens to me.

I was going to take a look too, using the refund I got from the incorrectly settled hands at bitdice. But when I logged in to my bitdice account my balance was still zero.

Were the refunds not done yet? I was told it would take a day or two but it has been much longer than that already.

Hey everyone, great contest!  Grin I recorded a video of the last 50,000 bets in a time-lapse until the winners at #200,000,000:

You won't be able to see the chat unless you switch to HD quality.

Thanks.

Good job. Thanks for that. Smiley

I've been feeling rough all day today, but v1rtu0so organised a 200-millionth bet giveaway, collected 100 CLAMs in prize money to be split 60/30/10 to the three closest people to the 200 millionth bet.

The winners were:

3rd #199999999 (812744) <kolloh>
2nd #200000001 (1124861) <Cyyy>
1st #200000000 (105159) <chrisw>

Congratulations to the three winners. Smiley

In other news, the site profit continues to recover as "BeatTheHouse" lost 9800 CLAM in a series of unlucky bets:

3551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [FOR SALE] 17500CLAMS [WANT] Bitcoins on: May 03, 2015, 07:18:08 AM
The OP is an alt of TheGambler and close to 20 others. The CLAMs he was selling were likely stolen via his HYIP scams

Can you back that up in any way?

I can vouch for the fact that he won almost all those CLAM from Just-Dice. He started with a few hundred and turned it into over 17k before losing around 5k back, so the "stolen via HYIP scams" part is false. What about the "alt of TheGambler" part? Is that any more reliable, or just another guess?
3552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [FOR SALE] 17500CLAMS [WANT] Bitcoins on: May 02, 2015, 05:45:32 PM
Why don't you sell all these alt coins you stole from your main account

What are you referring to?

I think he already sold the 17500 CLAM this thread was talking about:

If I have 50 clams invested
and set offsite 100, what will happen when I lose my 50 clams?

I need to add 100 or not?
I can set offsite to any number, although I don't really have?

If you have 50 CLAMs onsite and declare that you have another 100 CLAMs offsite, the site will treat your investment as if it was 150 CLAMs. You would risk up to 0.5% of your 150 CLAM investment per roll, ie. 0.75 CLAM.

When your onsite amount falls to less than 1/199th of your offsite amount, your offsite amount will be set to zero.

In your case, 1/199th of 100 is 0.50251256 CLAM. So after you lose around 49.5 CLAMs your offsite investment will be cancelled, and you will be left with around 0.5 CLAMs in your onsite investment.

You can set it to any number up to 99 times your current onsite amount.
3554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Pearl on: May 02, 2015, 04:31:02 PM
yeah your right, bit of a stupid question by me, you would empty addresses.

I guess that a bit of a hassle for cold storage.

Indeed. I've heard from some people who have hundreds of paper wallets with 1 BTC in each. They're wondering whether it is worth the hassle of making hundreds of new paper wallets and moving their coins over just to claim 4.6 CLAM per address. If each address has 1 BTC and 4.6 CLAM, then you gain 0.0055 * 4.6 = 0.0253 BTC per address you claim. That results in a one-off 2.53% increase in your BTC worth, assuming you trade the CLAM for BTC at 0.0055 BTC/CLAM.

Your distribution model is interesting, however does it favor people or encourage people who have lots of addresses with small amounts.

or did you chose some min amount of BTC on an address before you sent.

If you're talking to me, it's not "my" distribution model, and I didn't choose anything. I found out about CLAM a while after it launched.

The model does favour people who had a lot of funded addresses. There have been a few examples of people taking advantage of that, too. Someone had a litecoin wallet with thousands of funded addresses in it, and so they were able to claim thousands of CLAM. They were probably running an exchange or some similar service, but we never found out who it was.

In another case some guy made himself thousands of DOGE addresses shortly before the initial CLAM distribution, and funded them all with small amounts of DOGE. He was also able to claim large amounts of CLAM. We don't know whether he created all those DOGE addresses because he had found out that CLAM was going to launch, or whether he did it for some other reason, and just got lucky.

It's also worth pointing out that only a small percentage of the initially distributed CLAM have ever moved so far:

Quote
09:28:44 INFO: 68,622 of 3,208,032 sets of 4.60545574 CLAM were dug up so far from the initial distribution

That's only a little over 2% of them. It's quite possible that one day an old MtGox hot wallet will be used to dig up a whole lot of CLAMs. Or the hot wallet from any other BTC/LTC/DOGE service that was popular in May 2014.

because it was your crew ! Smiley   ~ you put alot of work into this site didn't you? kinda odd hmmm?

Can you provide some proof that doog is involved with dice.ninja?
IF you put a cloud mining site's signature and the cloudmining site scams its users, you cant be blamed as their crew, can you?

No, he can't. There is no proof, because I had no connection to them.

I've no idea what "you put alot of work into this site didn't you?" is referring to. I did no work for dice.ninja at all. I pointed out a few problems with their site in this thread maybe, just like I would for any other site that I find problems with. Maybe they even paid some bug bounties, like most sites do when you point out new bugs. Is that the "work"?

I'm putting Tuvu on ignore now, and leaving negative feedback. Sorry dude, but you're just a waste of my time.

What happened yesterday? Looks like someone won 20k Clam, my investment had been doing great until then!

I posted about it in the other JD thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=238613.msg11255139#msg11255139

He lost ~5k back this morning, and has also been making big waves in the Poloniex CLAM market, dumping 15k and later rebuying a lot of it back.
3557  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: May 02, 2015, 07:22:06 AM
"a friend" told me you got paid to promote for dice.ninja !  ^ nice work :\\

You're an awesome troll! Taking advantage of the situation  Undecided
Why would doog even do that? He already holds 5k+ coins!

I joined the dicebitco.in sig campaign for one month, and got paid for that. I didn't keep the sig for a 2nd month because I didn't feel comfortable advertising them after a while.

I put dice.ninja in my signature for a short while, but neither requested nor received any payment for that. I was one of the first to draw attention to issues with their proof of solvency.

But BB never lets facts get in the way of trolling.

Hello,

Since the main thread is locked, we would like to request you BootstrapCoinDev to contact us regarding your coin and it's inflated supply.
If you have not noticed, your coin and its market have been disabled for most of the day.
We also sent you a PM requesting you contact us earlier today however we have not got a reply despite you posting in this thread.

We will continue to await you to contact us.

#EmpoEX Team

Why would a coin developer lock their coin thread?

Also, I can't help but notice that you don't list CLAM on your exchange. It's one of the highest volume altcoins, rarely out of the top 10 list at Poloniex.
3559  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: May 01, 2015, 09:48:02 PM
So I'm reading your post, nodding along, and then I see your signature... an ad for a dice site I never heard of. Made me laugh out loud. Smiley

LOL. Cheesy

They don't have an investment option though so they're not really comparable. Dice sites with investment options tend to have bankrolls which can balloon in size if the site proves to be popular so if the site suddenly shuts down without warning (as dice.ninja did) then the damage is usually much worse. Otherwise, most players don't keep large amounts of BTC on dice sites since they tend to withdraw their funds after they have finished playing.

I edited my post, probably after you replied to it, to add:

Edit: I checked out the site. They have a 1% edge, but pay their affiliates 5% of every losing bet?

Quote
Every lost bet will bring you at least 5% of it.

Seems dubious.

Since posting that I heard from a friend that they don't actually pay affiliates - he signed up as an affiliate and received nothing. So maybe reconsider whether you want to advertise them or not. Smiley
3560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Pearl on: May 01, 2015, 09:33:22 PM
hi....so how is it ensured that your priv keys are not stolen?

Well, first off, it is safest to assume that they *will* be stolen, and so to empty your address and commit to never using it again before importing your wallet into the CLAM client.

But the fact is that the CLAM client doesn't send the private keys anywhere. You import your old BTC wallet, and the CLAM client uses them to sign transactions which claim the 4.6 CLAMs from the initial distribution. Only the signature is broadcast over the network, not the private keys themselves.

The problem is that you have to trust that that is true, or spend a lot of time checking the code to make sure that it is true. And so it is easier to assume it isn't true, that the client is going to try to steal your keys, and so it's best to make sure the keys are worthless before giving them to the client.

tl;dr: the client won't steal your keys, but "better safe than sorry" so why not empty them first anyway?
