3541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose the right bounty for Newbie? Get rid of fake/scam project on: February 14, 2020, 09:09:42 PM
Good Day Everyone......

Upon reading on various topic these past few days and referring to my friends advise to choose the correct bounty, i'm a little bit confuse on how can we identify they correct bounty campaign to join with? Are there any series of steps to identify if the project is fake or not? Do we have a checklist on how we can confirm if the project is going to be a fraud?

As a newbie like us, what can you recommend for us to get rid of those project since a lot of project begins to collapse since BTC is souring high again?

All you thoughts will be beneficial to us.

Regards.

Cryptolico27
I would suggest you to avoid these bounty programs in the first place, be it legit or scam. You will be spending a lot of time doing these bounty tasks, but in the end, what you will earn won't be worth the time you would be spending on completing those tasks. If the project turns out to be scammed, you won't even earn a single penny. Even if the project turns out to be legit, the amount of people joining the program will end up reducing the rewards you will be receiving.
Try doing something more better instead of wasting your time doing bounty programs.
3542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A good book to learn how to trade. on: February 14, 2020, 08:53:35 PM
Recently i´ve got a indication of a book: Encyclopedia of chart patterns (second edition). This book is realy good, but it has many pages (1033). The book was initially designed for the Stock Market, but you can still use the book to trade with bitcoin. The book is available on Amazon and on the internet (pdf for free). I particularly downloaded the pdf but I intend to buy the book soon. I recommend an intermediate-advanced level of English and a certain experience in trade to understand the book well.

One of the biggest mistakes you are doing is comparing bitcoin trading with stock trading. They are not the same. They don't exhibit the same behavior at all. One should not try trading bitcoin like they are trading stocks.
On other hand, do you actually need books to learn how to trade? There are tons of free such books out there on the internet, but you won't truly learn anything unless you have tried trading yourself. You will be making lot of mistakes when trading and once you learn from you mistakes, you will be better at trading.
3543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this time to Sell altcoins before BTC Halving on: February 13, 2020, 11:12:23 PM
Do you think it is time to sell your altcoins? Don't take suggestions from random people on the internet. Most of the people out there will give you random suggestions based on nothing. They don't care if you make losses because of their suggestions. I would suggest you to do your own research. If you think it is best to sell your altcoins, then yeah go ahead. If you think there are chances that the price of altcoin will also rise with btc halving, then hold your altcoins. Or you can always sell a portion of your investment and buy bitcoin with it, while holding the rest.
3544  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy only bitcoin or take chances in altcoin casino? on: February 13, 2020, 10:54:44 PM
Altcoin casino? I guess you are comparing investment with gambling. You shouldn't though. You have far more control on your investment money compared to gambling money.
Anyway, if you want to make steady and slow profit with less risk to carry, then yeah, just invest on bitcoin and keep holding it. But, if you are looking for some quick profit (and also quick losses!), then invest on altcoins. Remember, you will be risk level will be very high and chances are you will be losing you investment within few days.
3545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: February 13, 2020, 10:50:35 PM
Can crypto really give solutions to gambling addicts?
-Eliminate drug and alcohol addiction.
-Get rid of bad habits like theft.
-Reducing the risk ratio.....

😉Did joining gambling make you addicted to drugs and drink?!!

It all actually varies from person to person. But, what does crypto and gambling addiction have to do with drug, alcohol and theft? How do you think crypto is going to help eliminate all these? It makes no sense at all. And alcohol addict and a druggie will still remain the same even if they gamble with crypto currencies. An gambling addict will still try to steal money for gambling. The risk ratio also doesn't change and remains the same!
3546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders be careful on: February 13, 2020, 10:10:58 PM
The bull run is the most appreciated time for crypto currency investors and trader's

But i am shocked after the little bull run that pushed up bitcoin, etherum anf other token prices, people are starting to offer signal services, ttadr signals etc

Suddenly some set of people turned theirself to analyst.
i would advice you stick to your trade patterns or strategies and avoid this desperate signal peddlers.

NB: This is basically my thoughts this morning, perhaps you feel its a wrong motive from me?
let me know what you feel about it.
This is nothing new. It happens every time. When the price of bitcoin and other crypto currencies starts to increase, random people all of a sudden becomes "prediction lord". They start making their own services (most of them through telegram or other private channels). Even if their intentions are not to scam people, they mislead investors and other naive people to great danger.
3547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are crypto advisers worth to be looking for? on: February 13, 2020, 09:12:23 PM
Hey. Can you tell the beginner if there are any professional advisers who can teach you how to trade in practice? Crypto courses and general informative articles are great, but I'm having in mind something with more practice included. Does it make sense to look for them and how much scam there might be?
Trust me, you don't need any "crypto advisers" in order to learn how to "trade". Like you said, there are lot  of information out there on the internet which you can gather to get some idea on how to trade. Try to read different peoples first time experience on trading (lots of thread on reddit you can follow). Try to understand the market. Once you have gathered enough knowledge, try it our yourself with small investments. Don't expect to make profits right away. You will make losses and mistakes. Learn from these and get better!
3548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As a Bounty hunter, don't expect too much on: February 12, 2020, 10:14:59 PM
Often timw, i have seen lots of Bounty hunters complain about inability to sell their earned rewards simply because it dumped massively and got de listed or wasted away or died.

But I feel otherwise, some Bounty hunters expect too much from project they worked for and got few tokens, so instead of taking profits, they hold and end up earning nothing, then they claim the project is scam.

Stop working for free
Don't expect too much profits from projects.

NB: Taking profits does not literally mean dumping tokens, for examples, i earned 4,500,000 cyfm then worth over 200$
Today it worths less than 10$.

Always dyor
People including me have been saying the same thing for a very long time. Bounty hunters shouldn't expect to get rich over night. Most of the projects are now shit and working for them is just a total waste of time. You will receive tokens for your work, but those tokens will barely worth anything.
You are better off doing something else more efficient with the time you have instead of spending those time on bounty projects.
3549  Economy / Speculation / Re: One satoshi for $1 dollar will occur someday on: February 12, 2020, 10:12:01 PM
1BTC = 100,000,000 satoshis

It will be $100,000,000 = 1BTC

It is gotta be a long journey until we will see that time happens.

If this happen John Mcafee will be so proud that it reaches 1 million dollar per Bitcoin but I doubt John Mcafee will ever to see this price happen or even people of this generation, the most that I can see of Bitcoin Price in my lifetime could be $200 k but it could happen 30 to 40  years from now.
He is going to be proud? You probably aren't updated with the recently news. He used to support bitcoin back then and made an absurd bet. But lately he backed off and took a negative stance against bitcoin. He started calling bitcoin a shitcoin. He now considers bitcoin as a coin with ancient technology and believes that there are other tons of alt coins that can dominate the market and are going to be considered a true crypto coin.
3550  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is back with a bang. on: February 12, 2020, 10:05:01 PM
After a massive performance this year BTC crossed 10k mark and went down to 9.5k, right now it's 10297$ guys it seems like BTC is going to bang again.

Guys Just hold your BTC and wait till is year end I personally feel like it will skyrocket again as most of the analyst predict this year will be a brightest year for Bitcoin, hopefully happy days will be back again.
Just because you are feeling like it will skyrocket, does not mean that you will try to convince others to hold it. The market does not depends on how people "feel". Those prediction gurus did predict something based on numbers, charts and previous price, but this does not mean that the prediction will be accurate. Chances are that the prediction might even be totally wrong. We might see price fall back to $3,000. But then again, we might also see the price go above $20,000. What I am trying to really say over here is that invest at your own risk and try to understand about all the possible outcomes.
3551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much damage done in Altcoin Due to these Pump&Dump in Bitcoin prices on: February 12, 2020, 08:52:02 PM
Usually we all want to see Bitcoin pric go higher and higher in each single minuet, But this is painful that when BTC grown and we drop out portfolio. Basically Alt market comes in crypto for multipurpose but most of use involved in alt market for making our bitcoins double, triple or more than this.

Here is everybody knew about that whenever bitcoin make sudden move weather its base on any news or due to whales artificial price manipulation this cause huge damage done in both our portfolio and alt coins too.

I think this is very strong reason of alt market crashes and many of new investors harms too from this behavior of market.
This is something you can not prevent. People hold altcoins to make profit. They main goal is "profit" not building a portfolio. When they see the price of bitcoin rising, they don't want to lose the opportunity of investing on bitcoin and make some quick profit. Thus they end up selling their altcoin and jumps into bitcoin investmnet causing the price of altcoins to drop, while the price of bitcoin starts to rise. They know that if they don't dump it, someone else will dump those coins, thus causing them to suffer from losses too.
Thus to avoid any loss and to maximize their profit, they invest on bitcoin.
Some people buys their sold coins back and cheaper rate.
3552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will binance reach $23 as per experts prediction? on: February 12, 2020, 08:43:50 PM
BNB price rises up to 25$ + mark at that moment. From that point of view, we can say Expert's Predictions is absolutely right. But I think as the current speed BNB price can easily hit all time high. If you don't have any doubts about the potential of BNB, be prepared to see 40$ price mark.
Did the experts actually predicted the price completely on point or did they get lucky with their prediction? Why do most "experts" fail to predict the price of bitcoin being dumped or pumped?
The current speed seems unhealthy to be honest. What if BNB is just being pumped before it is about to dumped very badly? Asking for the price to reach $40 is a little bit too much. You almost want the price to double in just few days. Anyway, let us just hope for the best.
3553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For newbies only on: February 08, 2020, 03:10:05 PM
I'm sure that those who are into crypto since last year knew that downloading new mobile wallet from play store can be dangerous, well this is for newbies who just entered crypto space this year, most top popular mobile wallets have fakes built by scammers too, before you download any wallet find its website and download through the link instead
Its not just "new mobile wallets" that can be risky. Anyone downloading a new random wallet on a computer on a phone bears the risk of getting hacked. There are tons of such wallets out there that comes with a backdoor that can steal coins from the wallet and also private keys of all other wallets that you have on your computer. That is why it is really important to choose your wallet carefully. It is best to use an updated wallet provided officially by the developers of that coin. Or look for a wallet that is open source.
3554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Spot a Shitcoin? on: February 08, 2020, 02:59:08 PM
Most of the shitcoins are just a clone of other well known coins. They have nothing new to add to the current prevailing coins. Again, most of the shitcoins will try to scam investors, so the developers will mostly try to hide their identity. They will try to reveal bare minimum information about how their project is going to work. Even if they reveal who they are, chances are that those information are fake. If the most of the coins are being held (or already mined by the developers), then chances of those coins to be shit coin is very high. Abnormal price rise/fall and volume is also another way to spot a shit coin.
3555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Site's Investing (Is it worth it?) on: February 08, 2020, 02:45:45 PM
AFAIR, I invested in dice bankroll in year 2017 and it wasn't as profitable as I was expecting.
Well, we know that when there is a house edge, casinos will win all the time but don't expect you'll get big profit with your small investment and that discourages me because I also witness that there are casinos that goes scam and take the of the investors. (there's a lot of them, we can do a research)

with that experience, I decided to divest my money and invest it in altcoins and bitcoin and I am lucky I do it on the right timing and indeed it's more profitable than investing in a casino's bankroll.
Yeah, small investment means small returns/profit. Also, even if you make huge amount of investment, don't expect huge profits within few days. You "will" make profit, but that is going to be in the long run. Remember, in the long run, the house always wins (due to house edge), which means, you will also be making profit along with the casino.
Sorry to hear that you got scammed. Unfortunately, you invested on a casino that had no reputation at all. Make sure you invest on a casino that is well known in this community.
3556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: February 08, 2020, 02:36:22 PM
Ethereum is currently on the 2nd position on Coinmarketcap based on market capitalization. Where as, binance is on the 9th position (when I last checked) on the list when ranking based on market capitalization. This means, binance needs to beat 7 more coins in order to beat and take over Ethereums position and replacing it. You are sound like you are trying to say that BNB is going to take over ETH within few days. I doubt that is going to happen. Might happen in the long run, but for now, it is not going to happen.
3557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto News Websites - Where do you find your crypto news? on: February 08, 2020, 02:25:07 PM

3558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: February 08, 2020, 02:05:10 PM
Many find it hard to invest any money on bitcoin or altcoin but now that we are in a good crypto year I think its wise if you hold few good top coins but if you don't have any money make sure you hold parts of coins or tokens you earned from bounty, remember what happened to most bounty rewards in 2017? I feel same thing will happen this year, I still see people who hold GowithMi tokens and they are happy holding it, just a piece of advice

But make sure they are good projects, some bounty projects are better dump off than holding them, you have to find that out yourself, example of good bounties was Tokoin, Gowithmi, Sero, TemTum, they are worth holding, thanks
Is it really worth all those hassle to collect those coins and hope that one day the price will rise? You are just wasting your time behind all these. You could be doing better if you invest your time somewhere else doing something more productive.
Imagine spending a lot of time behind a bounty program, but the project ends up being dead or abandoned? Or the value of the tokens are so low that it won't even cover the price of a cup of coffee? Now imagine doing something more productive (like selling your skills) and getting some money that won't lose its value and is accepted everywhere.
3559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 08, 2020, 01:57:41 PM
-snip-

the two things that come to my mind are:
- making enough or a lot of money.
- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.

-snip-
Not everyone gambles for money. Some gamble just to have fun and enjoy different risks they are taking. They just accept their winnings as a form of reward. Even if someone earns a lot of money, you shouldn't be surprised if they gamble. If you go to a high stakes table in a casino, you will mostly find rich people playing over there who doesn't care much about the money they are about to lose.
Passion might help someone stop gambling (more like an gambling addict) if he manages to focus well on his passion during his leisure hours.
3560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are mainstream events linked to crypto's price movement on the market? on: February 07, 2020, 10:12:47 PM
Yeah, mainstream events does have a huge impact on the price of crypto currencies. Like you said, when Mtgox got hacked, the prices of crypto currencies started to fall. The same thing still happens. Everytime a major exchange faces some problem or gets hacked, the prices starts to plummet. Every time something bad pops up about crypto currencies on the media, the price starts to fall. This is also true of positive events that cause the price to surge back up in price.
