3541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Success of IEO is all on the exchange on: July 04, 2020, 11:34:02 AM
It's free advertisement.
That is how I see it.  Grin

Example is if an IEO listed on Binance. The chances of success already increased just doing that.
But for what expense? Binance won't just agree with a little percentage of what the IEO will receive.
It must be a huge sum of money or a large percentage of the total coins.
This is why we see most of the IEO in p2pb2b but because they are trying to be cheap the success is also lower.

But do consider, not all investors look for a better exchange. Some of them looks at features first.

Kevin Durant looks good guys, he is Dunkin already, look like he has fully recovered from injury, but don't expect him in the NBA's restart as he is still not available.

That's good news. The assassin is already in good condition. Maybe next year we will see Brooklyn on top.  Grin
I just hope Kyrie will do his best to fully heal his shoulders too.

That problem has been bothering Kyrie for many seasons already based on what I observed, that's his problem with the Celtics too that the team can't rely on him to fully play the whole season or the off-season, and I also remember during the time he was still playing with Lebron James in Cavaliers, he was also injured in the playoffs, and it resulted to a defeat of their team.

Kyrie Irving, Durant, and Dinwiddie, these are the consistent players of the team, hopefully they'll find a good chemistry once all of them are fully healthy again. And I don't like to see this happen again.....

Spencer Dinwiddie leaves Kevin Durant hanging after scoring the clutch basket to give Nets the W!

It's like he is always forcing that shoulder.
I haven't found news that he fully recovered in that portion of that injury.
Perhaps they just saw it as a mild cramp or a worn-out shoulder.

Feb-March 2020 is just the time he took the surgery. I thought it was already done when he was at Celtics.
Which is why we cannot find any news about the recovery.

It's final. Oladipo will sit out for the remaining season.

Quote
“I really want to play, and as a competitor and teammate this is tearing me apart,” Oladipo said. “I feel like I’m at a great place in my rehab and getting closer and closer to 100 percent. With all the variables, from how I have to build my 5-on-5 workload back up, to the increased risk of a soft tissue injury which could delay my rehab, and the unknown exact set up of the bubble, I just can’t get my mind to being fully comfortable in playing. I have to be smart and this decision hasn’t been easy, but I truly believe continuing on the course I’m on and getting fully healthy for the 2020-21 season is the right decision for me.”

I just hope he will be a real star when he gets drafted in the NBA, I don't want to see the same result like his brother who was selected as 2nd overall pick in 2017 but his NBA career with the LA Lakers was not really that impressive.

I also don't follow this kid, but for those who know more about Lonzo and LaMelo, who is better between the two?

IMO, LaMelo. I am not a fan of Lonzo. Too much mistakes even in his professional career.
He is improving though but unlike his brother LaMelo which is already good at his college game.
Also, I think Lonzo is pulled because of the surname.

Kevin Durant looks good guys, he is Dunkin already, look like he has fully recovered from injury, but don't expect him in the NBA's restart as he is still not available.

Something to read while waiting for more results of players being tested for Covid-19.

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-draft-2020-identifying-the-no-1-prospect-at-each-position-in-this-years-class/

Breaking down NBA Draft picks.
Yeah, it's something we must look unto since very soon their names will be seen in this thread.  Grin
LaMelo Ball still ranking at the top rank here.
I haven't seen the kid play the whole game but I did see some great highlights.
He is something else at his young age.
3545  Other / Archival / Re: Bank of Japan has announced it will begin experimenting with a digital currency. on: July 03, 2020, 10:54:35 AM
Yes, it is great to see that countries like Japan are stepping up when it comes to a higher technology of transactions.
But we need to remember it is not Bitcoin which will be on the front. It is still their own currency just digitized.

The fact with the said country is already accepting bitcoin in most of their merchants is a good move.
But creating this one will lose supporters and usage of bitcoin. Right?

Did you all felt it too or is it just me?

As I said before, I recently renewed my investment with more addition because I accidentally closed it.
Is this the product of starting over again or did it really just went down with all of us?

A large whale can easily tank the bankroll of a relatively small casino by -1.5%.

Usuallly these platforms have maximum bet sizes and other restrictions in place to help minimize the odds of this, but lucky streaks do occur.

Depending on how much volume the platform turns over, it could take quite some time before the 1.5% loss is recouped—probably around 3 months if it generates an APR of 6% per year.

Better hope another whale doesn't come along and knock it back even further in that time.

Or, we need more players that could suffice that loss. Like a balance of 1 whale = 20 average players.
I think that should be enough.

I am not actually worried about this since we are investing in the house. It can come back to a green color anytime.
If that whale comes back without lady luck on his side then we will be gaining once again.  Grin

Dunno but the set up seems kind of weird to me lol. 'Cause you know you have to practice together with different teams just few steps beside you haha  Cheesy. But whatever, it is just kind of new to me.
It's weird and it will be difficult to sink in how it is going to happen.  Grin
Nice read : KEMBA'S SHOT HAS FINALLY COME

Quote
After winning everything in college, Kemba Walker spent his first eight NBA seasons on a team without a chance. That's why he's in Boston, and this is his moment to create a new legacy.
Number 9 draft pick and was put to the worst team.
This mostly happens to single-digit draft pick players especially the top 1.
They need years to be traded to a better team or if not, that worst team will make an overhaul in their roster.
Yeah, this might be his chance. They might not have the physical power but Celtics do have the speed and offensive explosiveness.

A great find for the article.
3548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 02, 2020, 03:27:10 PM
Well, there is a big difference between hyping someone up and rookie of the year award.

Rookie of the year award goes to the player who plays best in that season and by far Ja Morant was the best rookie to play this year, he actually changed the whole team up to a new level that could compete with higher level teams once again when they were expected to tank this season as well.

Looking at it now I can say that Zion couldn't even dream of getting it, all because he played just 20 games this year, and I know we played only 60 games this season but I would pick the player that played almost all games and brought his team to higher level than the dude that played 20 games and failed to make a big difference.

Yet that doesn't mean that everyone talked about Zion constantly and he could still be better than Ja Morant in the future when he gets healthy.

I can see that.
But, there is this air of unfairness right?

Ja Morant had been working hard since day 1 and it is now known because of all that effort.
While on the other hand, Zion just played a little, and yet he is far more popular than Ja.
Which concludes to one thing.
Ja will need to work harder to get that attention while others could just sit down and will still get the better deal.
I am not against Zion or anything, it is just the way they control things.
3549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin truly a safe-haven asset? on: July 02, 2020, 02:16:45 PM
High risk, high profit.

I see bitcoin is still there.
It is not a fully pledged currency that could be used every day.
An asset to a greater percentage of bitcoin bag holders.
So, it will still depend on whoever will buy it. It's our choice. No one forced us to do so.  It's your risk at the end and hopes there will be no regrets.
It is not a safe-haven or whatever whatchamacallit.

3551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 02, 2020, 11:46:35 AM
NBA is always politics, I even believe that some games are rig as they'll favor the team where the NBA's best player are playing.
NBA's darling has been Lebron James, but as this man will soon retire, they might be raising someone that will follow his footsteps.

Plus, Lebron James praised Zion Williamson when Lakers played against the Pelicans.

LeBron heaps praise on Zion Williamson: 'Super-explosive, super-intelligent' | NBA on ESPN

I am starting to have that thought.
There were a lot of rumors like this before from Bird to Magic and then Jordan.
Then, Kobe to Lebron and now Zion.
Building the face of the NBA and doing anything in their power to keep it that way until they will get old.

The rig games though, it is difficult to prove that part for their own profit.
I just don't know how.
3552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reliable is crypto payment? on: July 02, 2020, 11:13:59 AM
I still prefer other altcoins rather than using stable coins. You will never know when those creations will explode.  Grin

About the volatility, that is one of the main reasons why merchants are doubting to use bitcoin and altcoins as a means of payment.
There is just too much risk for now.
It would need a merchant who is willing to risk it at the start and somehow find a way to make it more profitable in the future.
3553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 02, 2020, 06:03:45 AM
Not quite sure about Zion. Man just played 21 games in the NBA, media sure loves hyping the kid. Kinda feel bad for Kawhi not getting the attention he deserves, but pretty much he don't want having the attention too. Cheesy
Felt bad for Ja Morrant  Undecided. Young man excels among the rookies the same draft year as him. No idea about the market thing but does it have any connection? I mean they just ruined real recognition on the floor. Just pure hype, Zion doesn't deserve it yet in my opinion  Grin. Makes me wonder what would be his rating?

Luka, Trae, or Ja should've made it. Or maybe Vince itself though it's kinda late  Tongue.

Yeah, why not Ja instead.
It's like they are creating their own star which is not based on hard work and efforts made by players.

Zion played good with those 21 games but Ja played great. Highlights left and right and even putting the Grizzlies on the 8th spot for a chance of playoffs.
Looks like politics to me.  Grin

2FA is okay for me.
It's already a confirmation if you are sure with what you are dealing with or how much it is.
In old machines, it's like the prompt of "Are you sure?". Yes or No.

Instead of becoming a good service, it could lead to a bad one.
Paypal is already an example of it.
Might as well double or triple check every transaction which also tells every satoshi is important to you.
3555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 01, 2020, 01:52:11 PM
Bad news came from New Orleans Pelicans whose three players were positively infected with COVID19. But unfortunately David Griffin
is vice president the New Orleans Pelicans team declined to name three of their players with COVID19. But David Griffin confirmed
the three players quarantined. Whereas last week the NBA announced 16 players tested positive for COVID19, out of the 22 teams that
will be performing at Walt Disney World Orlando. Hopefully this virus does not spread again, because if it spreads more and more fear
there will be another game delay. The New Orleans Pelicans will have their first match on July 30 against Utah Jazz, hopefully their
schedules will not change and all three players positive COVID19 can recover soon.

I think they should be transparent, as a fan we are also concern so it's nice if the NBA would make it transparent for everyone.
Now that the Pelicans are aiming for a playoff spot, they might struggle if one of the infected are part of the starting line up, I'm hoping now especially ZION.

since you haven't add the link of the news, let me add it,
http://www.nba.com/article/2020/06/30/new-orleans-pelicans-three-players-test-positive-david-griffin

I agree with you, if other teams make it public, why can't they.
I mean, what's the reason of keeping that information private when NBA is a public entertainment that everyone are interested to know.

With this news, would that hugely affect their chances now?
Need some thoughts here as there are odds available now from sportsbook shared in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091185.msg54712043#msg54712043

Yeah, what the heck.
What if these guys already infected citizens.
This news about them could somehow inform those who are in contact with those 3 players.
They can save themselves or their loved ones from spreading the virus.

Why do they keep this kind of delicate news?
It ain't about pride anymore. What?! They will not tell it so they could make them play for the tournament?
I hope someone will step up to tell it is wrong to hide it.
3556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Alert] Scam attempt in the name of gambling house and moderator on: July 01, 2020, 12:21:15 PM
So basically, he wants to use others for side income.
Maybe the payment being a moderator is not that much.
This could be prevented if only they paid them well.  Grin

He must be avoiding an IP trace or something near it.
The better option is to use the gamblers themself. That way, the track could not reach him especially if he uses cryptocurrencies as a means of payment to him.

Perhaps you could contact a customer support and tell them what is happening to avoid this from happening again.
If this is an inside job then the owner might not know he is being swindled by his employees.
3557  Economy / Economics / Re: Is global adoption of Bitcoin possible post-Covid? on: July 01, 2020, 10:32:24 AM
Now they are looking more at the problem.
Perhaps it's time to change the system.

But I doubt the government will push that to happen.
They will look for other ways first until there will be no more. That's when bitcoin will come in.
So yes, it is possible but I don't think post-COVID just yet.

Social media is now a great weapon. Perhaps we could enlighten them on the truth about bitcoin and not just as an investment option.
It's a good start to push a government. By how the people will react.
3558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM is now connecting businesses to blockchain? on: July 01, 2020, 06:21:45 AM
Yes!

But it will still depend on the approach.
We all know there are still people out there who are closing the doors for this kind of innovation.
Let us just say, they want to stay in the traditional way.

Others will feel a lot of risks and the fear of the unknown.
Out of 10 people, maybe there will be 3 who will try to insert their hands in a sealed box.
But that is still 3, we should still reach out for that even with a slow adoption.
3559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 01, 2020, 05:17:18 AM
I reviewed Dame's work this season and I don't see anything special.

In most cases, NBA 2k's cover is related to a player the makes sound or buzz during the previous season.

Their reason is:

Quote
"From his cultural influence, musical success, off the court leadership, and on court domination, he's the perfect fit for our cover of NBA 2K21 on current-generation platforms; we're honored to have him."

He did make a buzz last year playing for WCF.
Even my neighbors are screaming Blazers and Dame Time every game against GSW.  Grin
But before that, they were GSW fans.  Cheesy

I didn't know they are also considering the other skills criteria here. That could be new.
Are they aiming their market sales in the music industry too? He is successful on that part.
As of the legend edition, no doubt it should be for Kobe.
I hope the family he left already healed their wounds.

Also, for us bettors, it's not only our time to enjoy watching again but our time to enjoy betting as well.

Of course, the excitement in betting will begin once the NBA will resume.

We can make this gambling thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091185.2600 active once again.

The first game will be on July 30 and when I think of that everyday, it seems I am already waiting it for too long.
I think we can also make a good discussion now about the NBA Futures since covid-19 will certainly become a factor to affect its outcome.
As for me, I'll look for a heavy dog with good odds which I think has a great chance to upset the best teams in the NBA now.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that other thread already.
I like staying there and being envious of the sports gamblers who are winning so much.  Grin
Thanks for bumping that again and soon we will also see each one again posting our your wins.   Cheesy Sorry, I lose more.

Let's all hope that the number of tested positive will not increase anymore.
Again, Adam Silver won't hesitate to stop it if ever the number will go higher.

~snip~

There is always the next year. It's still better to be healthy and alive rather than being ashes in an urn.

Ohh, this a bit too harsh  Grin. NBA players are young and healthy so if they got the virus, they will just dust it off, i think.
Sorry, I mean it in a good way.
