3541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: July 14, 2017, 12:43:48 PM
can they hack into our wallet. There are many professional hackers out there. What are the chances? Also what is the safest way to safeguard ourself?
I think it is possible and they can really do. But it is not that easy. Because the first time that I enter bitcoin cryptocurrency, it is promoting of its built decentralized block chain that enables its users to have access in their own privacy locker that will provide and support your privacy and your account. Maybe to assure the avoidance of that matter, secure that you are always checking your account's status and have a back up wallet to store up your assets whenever that thing happens.

I'm glad to see the projects like Pillar in our days, especially when there are a big amount of questionable campaings. Here I can see deliberate plan, interesting idea and promising team. So, I hope that we see it soon =)

This technology is so needed, would be amazing to have all of you personal, private, important data at you finger tips 24/7, and blockchain secure it could never be hacked. (Caveat unless you screw up and give out your personal key.) The future digital locker is a very cool idea! I'm hoping their wallet has all my current cryptos i hate dealing with clunky wallets and trying to keep up with all the backup etc.
Indeed. This project has many features that grows according to the users need.  In which privacy is such a great problem while accessing through an internet signal. Many problems have been encountered by different type of indivuduals that is why the success if this project is much in need to be comfortable that its decentralized block chain, privacy lock would provide the safety of the user's account without being mindful that his identity would be steal by many hackers out there. Hoping and still looking forward for the success and putting this project into real action.

This is nice to see that the proposed Pillar project of constructing a digital wallet that will be a mobile first. In this matter, all the demands of the consumer will be satisfied due to the easy storage and access in just a single wallet that provides different features that suits consumer needs in everyday situation. Also the decentralized block chain that supoorts privacy lock in an easy way of handling it. Looking forward for the success of this project that will be sure benefited by many individuals supporting this project.
3544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What does 'Pump and Dump' means in crypto trading ? on: July 11, 2017, 09:58:01 PM
hi all.,

i am not a day trader , so i dont know much about these terms.,

there was trollbox on polo where people used to say pump and dump specific coins. but trollbox is gone now.,

from basic understanding dump means DROP,
does the PUMP means buy ?

Just like what it happens in a real life situation, when you are doing a pump you are putting a pressure that results into the rise of a certain object. That is also what really happen in the market industry. Price values of various types of cryptocurrency undergoes a certain process of pumping and dumping which normally happens with the sudden exchanges of price value in the market. Also in cryptotrading. The rise of the btc value for buying a certain altcoin is an indication that it is now time to sell some assets you are holding for trading.
3545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you scared to hold until August 1? on: July 11, 2017, 09:49:00 PM

We know what will happen with the said date but are you willing to take a risk to hold your Bitcoins or maybe some Altcoins. We are in the 'Red days' for how many weeks now and I think it is because of too many people is scared in what will be the results of Segwit on August 1.

Some of my thoughts in how most of us think.

*I will sell my Bitcoins first then buyback after august 1*

*I will sell my Altcoins because it is nowhere to going up anymore*
We still does not know what will exactly be the result of the said Segwit on August 1 but the assurance of the answer on that is just a fight between win or lose situation. If you think that you might lose that much in holding into your assets, then you can sell it for an easy money and of course assurance. But if you think that you will just take the risk of holding your assets, its your own decision. Because the one who will be the beneficiary is just yourself. We do not have to get into panic and start to be scared of the upcoming event. What we can just do is to prepare until it settle down.
3546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: July 11, 2017, 09:41:53 PM
Hey Bitcoiners? I'm desperate to start earning BTC
I'll do any kind of online activity as long as there's a Bitcoin payment. Where do I start?
Before you can start earning, must start first on the very beginning which is simply posting on topics involved in the threads until you take it of into Jr. Member rank wherein you can now start to join campaigns that will take you to have stakes which you can earn. But it is not that easy. It takes a lot of patience while waiting on the bounty distribution. When you have already earn, start seeking for a good investment so that your money can be able to grow.
3547  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: July 11, 2017, 09:12:15 PM
So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
Maybe bitcoin will help them in a way of saving if they will first know what bitcoin really is. For them to be able to understand bitcoin, you must first orient them of how bitcoin works and the way of saving using bitcoin. State the benefits they could gain on saving bitcoin based on your own experience to make it a factual one so that they can have a basis and have a role model in saving using bitcoin. In such way, bitcoin can really be able to teach them how to save money.
3548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: July 11, 2017, 02:45:34 PM
I would like to know what experiences did you had when you first started with Bitcoins. As for me, I had many that I would like to share with you.

When I began in the Bitcoin world, I was a complete rookie with no proper knowledge of how did mining worked or anything about cryptocurrencies. I just thought about Bitcoin as another payment processor like PayPal. But when I joined the BitcoinTalk community, I learned so many things along the way. In my process of learning in the first days, I decided to invest into cloud mining services. Since I didn't knew much about it, I invested a plenty amount of Bitcoins to start my journey into it. During that time, I had gotten into many different services. Those were GAW Miners, then Cointellect, cloudminr.io and finally Hashnest. After getting scammed many times by the services mentioned previously, (except for Hashnest) I have lost many Bitcoins. As a result, I decided to never invest into cloud mining and thus dedicate myself into learning more about the cryptocurrency and look for other ways to earn Bitcoins. It was then that I enrolled into the signature campaign that I am currently into and during all that time I began to earn Bitcoins as well as diversify my investments into different alt coins. Now I am dedicated to trading Bitcoins and other alt coins, as well as working for it (like the signature campaign and working as a freelancer) in order to earn coins and build up my portfolio along the way.

Anyways, what would be your experiences with this exciting cryptocurrency?  Cheesy
When I first started with bitcoin, I have experienced a difficulty on adopting from posting into local thread going to bitcoin discussion and economy. I also experienced posting on off topics and politics and society. It is just normal for a beginner like me on my first trial because I do not have any prior knowledge with this kind of cryptocurrency because it is still a strange thing for me the first time I know it. But as time pass by I can be able to adopt on posting into different threads because of my experiences and readings that I have gathered while learning about bitcoin.
3549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going? on: July 11, 2017, 01:41:37 PM
Hi

Thread title says it basically.

Almost all Altcoins are currently falling, which means they are dumped for Bitcoins.

So Bitcoins should be bought and therefore rising => but they are also falling.

Why is that?
Maybe because there are some disturbances happening on the price value changes on the market that is why bitcoin and altcoin is dumping at the same time. Or maybe because of the mere speculation of the what so ever event that will happen on August the first, the stock market specially the major investors are holding or hoarding the price amount for the preaparation and assurance of the upcoming event. But let us not conclude for now of its negative impact. We still have couple of days to observe the changes happening between bitcoin and altcoin. Still hoping for the price pumps.
3550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: July 09, 2017, 03:41:46 PM
Since bitcoin is trending now world wide because you can easily earn this and it exchange in real cash. Is bitcoin the new value of currency in the internet? Is he the new money? Can we use it in buying foods and etc in the future?
Earning bitcoin is not that easy as many people think. It takes a lot of time of hard work before earning it. Maybe the continuously usage of bitcoin and popularization might be the reason for it to be accepted as a term of payment in the near future. But the totality that bitcoin is the new era of currency, is not yet assured because time will pass by before we all know and proclaimed that bitcoin is really the new era of currency.
3551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 09, 2017, 03:20:03 PM
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
Just like how bitcoin behave, altcoins can do really have future. It just takes time on when altcoin various types will improve and pump its price values. The reason why people do not see the future in using altcoin because they are underestimating its price values. Remember it is just the price value that varies but altcoin can have a future for long term usage. You just have to explore its capabilities and capacities by experimental trials of investing into it and see the feedback it can give to you.
3552  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: July 09, 2017, 02:41:38 PM
I do not see bitcoin as a thing that can be used as an instrument to end up the massive issue of worldwide poverty. Although bitcoin can provide many people an opportunity to gain money as an income, it cannot be a tough reason that bitcoin can end up the world poverty. Bitcoin is not a magical instrument that in just one snap then poverty could end. Maybe it would be possible if the usage of bitcoin will be used by the private, public and government sector of every nation across the world to help each other to partially lessen the poverty effect. But the totality abduction of worldwide poverty throught the use of bitcoin, it might be impossible.
3553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: July 09, 2017, 12:57:22 PM
I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me
Maybe the reason behind that is depending on the government decision. Because government might think that usage of bitcoin without proper orientation or popularization might have risk or bring harm to its people through technological way. But if bitcoin will be launched and have advertisements that will orient the government and its people, maybe they will enable its usage in their countries.
3554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: July 09, 2017, 09:30:06 AM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.
Getting into an investment and putting your money into it is already taking a risk because the assurance of gaining is not that visible especially when you are just starting. So for you to be able to see the effect, you must take the risk because it will be a now or nothing situation. You cannot evenly say that there is such risk on investing your assets in bitcoin because compared to other investments, bitcoin is the one who build decentralized blockchain for privacy of users accounts and if there is so risk, why are potential investors keep on trusting and investing on bitcoin? It is just trust on your investment is needed to know the success of it.
3555  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: July 09, 2017, 07:53:46 AM
The crypto world can become unpredictable sometimes, making our choices of investing into it, a very limited one. From scams to ponzis, there have been many losses from investors, yet making it very difficult to find a reliable investment.

But on the bright side, you could still invest into assets and commodities with your crypto like Gold and Silver. Then, if done right you could profit along the way with a good strategy.

As for me, I only decide to invest into gold (by exchanging BTC to Gold) and into some NXT and BURST assets.

What would be your investment strategy? Please share your tips, advice, or any good strategy you would use to safeguard your crypto investments.  Smiley
We cannot assure if our investments would take effect in gaining or not. So I suppose to take the risk of parting money into several crypto to see and compare of which crypto will help me to gain more profit. I know it is too risky that it might be put into scam but remember you would not know something unless you try. Just taking up at least 10% for various cypto and await for its feedback to have a final decision to hold on or not. Anyway, strategies are depending on the person's mindset of which way he can think that his money would grow. Just be wise on picking.
3556  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: July 09, 2017, 07:46:12 AM
I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?
In that case, even though bitcoin can provide income online and help those unemployed individuals, it cannot be the reason to lessen up the number of unemployed person because we all know that we must not depend on bitcoin. For us to be able to sustain our financial needs we also need to work and bitcoin is now our back up source of income in case of financial shortage. That is the reason why many people invest on bitcoin.
3557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2017, 03:42:21 AM
Bitcoin is the future of money, or so they say.

I would like to hear your opinions on Why should people use Bitcoin?

I think the reason why people should use bitcoin is because bitcoin provides decentralized strategy that enables users to have their accounts in their of private way of managing and having access on it that is the main reason why people are keep investing on bitcoin because in that way bitcoin gained their trust. Also bitcoins price value attracts people in investing because as we all know bitcoin's price pump is the most awaited scenario of every users because it provides more profitnor gain to the equivalent value of their original money. And fast transactions with low transaction fees that make transactions much easier.

3559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: July 08, 2017, 01:49:11 PM
Banks will not disappear. As we all know banks are one of the wise establishments in town. They will not agree that bitcoin will be the reason for them to disappear or to get lost theie clients. For them to be able to settle down or adapt with the situation of bitcoin's popularization and many people around the world are widely using it, they will be surely offer the storage or feature bitcoin as one of their services in the banks. That will lead or push their clients to continuously invest on them in terms of using or accepting bitcoin.
3560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: July 04, 2017, 12:00:08 AM
I am saving most of my bitcoins for future purposes because we don't even know what will happen in the future. For me to be able to equip myself I am saving most of it for future purposes. I can also spend some of my bitcoin for fun because it is also my own will to spend it of whatever I want. Just be responsible of the consequences of every decision we make
