3561  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: inactivity fee on: March 14, 2021, 08:46:22 AM

Are you sure about it?
As I was saying before, a lot of people were surprised when they found out even bitfinex or crypto.com are charging such fees and many others.

In my 2 years of trading career, I never paid fees for being inactive but as I said heard that local exchanges are having such fee structure which I came across exchanges section (I guess) but can't be able to find the thread now, probably they were moved to their local board.

3563  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie here - need to understand how it works for my purposes on: March 13, 2021, 03:59:02 PM
Hi all.
Don't know if this is the right place to post - if not, just let me know.

I'm pretty new to all this and I'd like to understand some of this crypto-currencies thing...

Please help me here... -->

I have a wallet and I'd like to put some BTCs (or other crypto-currency) in it. My biggest concern is the fees and when/where they apply.
If I go to an ATM and I feed it with physical money to get my crypto-currency, do I have to pay some fees?
Would I use my crypto-currency to buy something online (same currency), are there any fees being applied?

Thanks for your help.
F.

You need to pay fees every time when you are making a transactions.

So in the first case, your are buying bitcoin from ATM means you are not going to pay any fee in bitcoin but generally the prices are more premium while buying at ATM than on exchanges so you may get less BTC compared to buying BTC on exchanges.

And when you are buying a drink using BTC then you need to pay the fee along with the price then the receiver with get the btc and the fee will go to the miners.
3564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading View Plans on: March 13, 2021, 01:05:05 PM
It depends on you, I am not buying any of these because I am not a pro in technical analysis because it sucks most of the time. SO if you are good at reading charts and doing the trading as your full time job then go for the highest package available but for me free version is more than enough.
3565  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Lost Bitcoines In A Transaction to Coinbase on: March 13, 2021, 09:09:43 AM
So I have these in front of me now, and sadly the listed bitcoin address does not match '1Q6Boa9VQxxcCCNDKK1dennXSud1m5ALAc', hence I must have sent it to a wrong address right? All I can remember is that it was generated by Coinbase and that i copy and pasted it.

So your device is infected with clipboard malware which used to replace the destination address you copied with the address injected by the hacker. Your device might be having the issues now as well so the only option is to reflash the OS or reset to factory settings to avoid this atleast in future.
3566  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: My bitcoin is frozen at Paxful and they won't let me withdraw it on: March 12, 2021, 04:16:52 PM
I have been waiting for 1 year that unreasonable and now have to wait more? Can you imagine if I was just getting bad or I just really need the money if I don't have it I might almost die? there is day that I don't even have a dollar to buy something to eat and I was hungry as I will eat anything cross by my face but they holding my money like that. What kind of a platform that holding someone money like that unreasonable when they solved the problem already? you still think they are legit???
I can understand your situation but it is not going to help this process further speed up, you had chosen a centralized service and accepted their terms and then only deposited, now you have no other choice than accepting their response which could be whatever.

What country are you in? Was it caused by a bank error, If you are holding bitcoin in your Paxful Wallet and there has been no activity in your
account for a period of time prescribed by applicable law, we may be required to report
such remaining bitcoin in your account as unclaimed property in accordance with abandoned
property and escheat laws.

3567  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for crypto newbies, traders. Be cautious with new exchanges on: March 12, 2021, 02:13:09 PM
snip~~~
That's a really crappy way to make a comparison. How do you know that centralized services aren't sending you money from random people whose source of income is unkown? Or that the money you get on a daily basis is also from unknown sources? Do you even know who pays your signature campaign and where their income comes from?Smiley
I think you need to calm a bit and analyze what I am saying, centralized exchanges are registered companies making payments from their bank accounts but while doing p2p we are receiving funds from random people we found using the platform, even though they submitted their KYC we can't actually trust that we are dealing with the verified person.

And about signature campaign payouts or basically gambling site payouts are not coming from unknown sources, those sites also regulated and we are receiving funds from their hot wallet not directly from other person's deposit means we are having someone in the middle between the transaction and gambling site will take responsibility if some illegal source funds are coming to their site.
3568  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk bug? on: March 12, 2021, 12:10:14 PM
I am not having any issues wither and also tried to login with firefox, Opera but still there is no problem on my side. Not using brave browser anymore because I don't trust their recent changes in their privacy policies so no luck on my side finding what is causing this issue.
3569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low quality topics on: March 12, 2021, 07:35:36 AM
Threads like this. Cool
Thats a bit harsh on your part dude. The guy is simply asking which or what kind of those low quality post that can be determined here in forum. Obviously, the first response have good answers already leaving out the other comments by it. But of course there are different opinion from other members which is not on the first one. So assume the thread will be longer due to suggestions.

But I believe, being respectful on newbies will likely help them to grow properly here and avoid rude attitude when they will response too on some newbies and members here. Don't get me wrong but I am also agree with you about this is a low topic kind of post. But not gonna throw discouragement to those asking how to improve and sharpen their knowledge here.

Normally, I am not having such behaviour even towards people who are dump to learn anything but if you take a look at the OPs post history then you may agree with that. He created his first thread something related to the context of this thread as well but he never returned to these threads and mentioned anything about what he learnt from those? So he is not actually interested in learning anything.
3570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Low quality topics on: March 12, 2021, 05:28:19 AM
Threads like this. Cool
I think we should be a little friendly with the newbie 'lol'...
maybe this is important to him so he can improve the quality of his posts. *btw, is this post is low
If he actually wanted to learn something then he may took some effort by reading a lot, so asking silly questions looks too low quality for me. Okay let's take he is too dump to learn by himself but he doesn't even bother to read and reply to his thread, but started to make posts on other sections.
3571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for crypto newbies, traders. Be cautious with new exchanges on: March 11, 2021, 04:19:56 PM
These days you don't need a centralized exchange anymore so that's the good thing. Go p2p if you want, safer with escrow, or if it's those alttokens you're interested in there are so many AMMs out there that'll take your btc too.

I can't ever consider using a new exchange now. If I really need a CEX Binance and Bittrex are enough for me.
P2P is not really an alternative for centralized exchanges because you are going to trade with random person which means the source of the money is unknown for you but what if it comes from someone who involved in illegal activities so you also will be on the wanted list now.
3572  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can we stop recommending electrum for Android? on: March 11, 2021, 03:09:30 PM
You can have security pin to login to your wallet everytime when you enters into the electrum on Android and that is the only security feature I know. And having any security feature is useless when your device itself can be hacked or spy using the malwares.

The older versions worked that way, but the newer versions require a password.

Password/Pin, I am using 6 digit numerals as my password that is why I thought it was a pin but anyway not much of difference between them. I am also having the updated version but I can able to make only numerals as my password, is this same with your wallets or alphabets can be used?
3573  Other / Meta / Re: Your role in the industry - poll for BCT members on: March 11, 2021, 11:43:15 AM
Voted as Bitcoiner, hope to see more votes into that category. Even though I am holding altcoins still the intention of holding altcoins is just to increase my bitcoin holdings by doing bump and dump. And also I am learning more and more about blockchain technically so I may choose a career related to that in future but for now I am just a holder not doing any professional jobs in it other than trading.
3574  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder for crypto newbies, traders. Be cautious with new exchanges on: March 11, 2021, 08:20:41 AM
I want to remind something to the traders especially to newbies, "don't beleive google when searching crypto related services", because mostly you will end up choosing a scam or clone website.
3575  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning! Don't use exchange.blockchain.com on: March 11, 2021, 07:20:06 AM
^Interesting to know that, so they actually care about their reputation.

And its now time for everyone having issues with receiving email for Authorization also link their bitcointalk threads with their support tickets for immediate action. Wink

They simply resolved it just for the sake of this thread?

But did they mentioned actual reason why your account was frozen or its just due to certain limits exceeds?

Don't use it for swaps or exchange or even as a wallet to store few bucks because their platforms turns out to be shady na d buggy.
3578  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is the Beginners & Help section excluded from certain signature campaigns? on: March 10, 2021, 02:39:03 PM
Campaign managers may feel that those excluded boards are not falling under the category of service they are promoting or for his own choice not to choose such boards.B&H section is one of the place where actual discussions are going but those sections may not be visited by many people so less exposure and wastage of the weekly budget.
3579  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: March 10, 2021, 11:18:07 AM
After a year of this thread, I can clearly say that prices are increased but it is yet to be doubled in my region. Governments are increasing tax rates at the time of Pandemic not it is getting added to the actual price of the products and it will increase further when the new normal begins.

Which country you are residing in? Even if the tax rates are increased, that should not have much impact on the food prices. Because the governments almost never increases the tax on agricultural products. However, increasing oil prices may cause additional expenses in transporting food products. Here in my country there has been no increase in the food prices. We are paying the same rates that we used to pay before the pandemic.

Certain Imported and factory made foods increased by about 10—50% where I live. But prices of agricultural produce from local farmers seem to remain thesame or increased abit.
I honestly don't worry about the increase in factory made foods because lots of them are contain ingredients that are harmful to people.
I prefer to see people buy more fresh organic fruits/veg like tomato rather than the heavily processed factory-made ones.  People need lots of healthy foods to handle the global disease better. Interestingly, the bad foods price seem to increase in the pandemic while the good ones remains very affordable for people to use for their health... That is what I would likely do to the food market until the bad food completely disappear.

When those big companies started to accumulate the fresh veggies and foods from local market for better price then demand will increase so we may not see the immediate hike but surely the demand is yet to be balanced and it is a long term process.
3580  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: My bitcoin is frozen at Paxful and they won't let me withdraw it on: March 10, 2021, 08:58:37 AM
This platform is a big scam, they are ignoring my email now. I have sent them many email to many different department but none of them reply me since the day they said they will unbanned and let me withdraw the funds. They are stealing my money literally. Guys be aware do not using this platform
Wait for few days because it may take weeks to review your case and give your response and don't forget that they said they will review your case after 365 days but still there is no assurance that your funds will be released with no obligations.
