Great work tpruvot! :-)
What events can trigger a pool/algo switch?
3562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GRS][DMD] Pallas optimized groestlcoin / diamond etc. opencl kernel on: November 03, 2015, 09:12:13 AM
so i have r9 270  with driver 15.10

...snip...

Instead of using binaries made for other chips, why not simply compiling your own for pitcairn? just overwrite diamond.cl, remove the bin files and run.
Let me know how it goes :-)
3563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - 1 | ASIC - 0 | Lyra2RE | Decentralised | GPU Mineable | Open Source on: November 02, 2015, 01:23:47 PM
I help you to understand this: they show worse block lucky, than the really block lucy.

And if you look back some posts, you'll see that I said exactly the same thing.
No need for all those big pictures, bad words, wrong calculations, etc.
Now, back to mining and trading...
3564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Trinity - TTY (SHA256d, Scrypt, Myr-groest) Trinamic Block Value System on: November 02, 2015, 11:57:44 AM
Here is my fixes:
https://github.com/bitbandi/Trinity/commit/a354c4d33c16e53c9950a9955d457398c5aa76c2

This fixes the GetNextWorkRequired function after 955000 block.
And between 915235 and 955000 this function completely wrong, check sould disable between this blocks.

I added a checkpoint at 1039000 block, based on this pool hash:
http://gcpool.eu/trinity/public/index.php?page=statistics&action=round&search=1039000

And now blockchain is good, if cryptopia can sync, there is no reason to delist.

Elbandi

are you to submit a pull request to the main git repo? or should we switch to yours?
I'm almost new to this coin so I don't know who "has the authority".
3565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GRS][DMD] Pallas optimized groestlcoin / diamond etc. opencl kernel on: November 02, 2015, 09:01:07 AM
the diamond.cl  is missing on the download
i only see groestlcoin-v1.cl

or must we just rename to diamond ?

so i rename to diamond.cl
but no change in my speed i have 4.7 mh on r9 270  sgminer 4.1.0

i guest groestlcoin-v1.cl is not for diamond, i ve got a lot rejected shares

groestlcoin and diamond use the same block hashing algo so the same opencl kernel applies.
but you must configure the miner to mine for the specific coin because there are differences!
that's why there are two kernels even thought the two kernel files are the same.

please posto your conf file and commandline so I can help you debug it.

Don't trust unknown sources. It's that easy.
3567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - optimized X11/X13/NeoScrypt/Lyra2RE/etc. kernel-switch miner on: October 31, 2015, 04:54:35 PM
Good Morning,

There have been a lot of fake miners out here and me posting a new one will look suspicious, i know.

For those that have been a victim of this. And obviously everyone else.

Here is a fully working version for WhirlpoolX (not the most popular Algo at this moment, but that may change in the near future  Wink)

Speed is around 550Mh on a 290X.

Link: https://www.sendspace.com/file/ti00so

Be sure to first test on a virtual machine / Sandboxie and or test on VirusTotal.

I'll check this out, just cause it sounds like mine from this record: https://ottrbutt.com/miner/whirlpoolxwolf-03162015.png

It is yours yes.

Are you sure? It could be mine as well.
To be sure you need to check the kernel parameters...

Can't believe an exchange owner is unable to do a couple addnodes....
3569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Siberian chervonets (SIB) Algorithm X11-gost on: October 29, 2015, 04:43:25 PM
I would be mining this if ,i could get cudaminer or ccminer to work .

No cuda miners AFAIK.
I've tried running sgminer on nvidia cards but it's all hardware errors.

if anyone's having problem compiling the wallet on a recent distro (with boost 1.58) like ubuntu 15.10, I've submitted a pull request to fix it.

3572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: October 29, 2015, 11:34:03 AM
Hey, did you work any more on Bastion, sp? I added an MH/s to the unlocked Fury's rate, rest of GPUs are the same (NSFW): https://ottrbutt.com/miner/bastionwolf-10282015.png
Notice I ALSO dropped watt usage by 20W or so, interestingly enough. Config edits and some code edits for Fiji were done. We can take turns soloing JoinCoin when you're done, lol.

Nice. Smiley I will rewrite the branch pass so that the hashrate will skyrocket, but I don't think I can beat you in this algo even on the 980ti..
The Whirlpool needs to be rewritten.

Haha, finally, got one better for once. Nvidia is really on it since Maxwell came out.

Whirlpool(x) is better on AMD as well :-)
3573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - 1 | ASIC - 0 | Lyra2RE | Decentralised | GPU Mineable | Open Source on: October 28, 2015, 12:10:31 PM
I just stepped in because it made me smile when you added the percentages like you did :-)

You ignoramus!!!  Wink

Calculate average:
5 + 10 + 3 + 4 = 22 / 4 = 5.5
8 + 9 + 4 + 12 = 33 / 4 = 8.25
7 + 4 + 14 + 3 + 2 = 30 / 5 = 6

I didn't insult you, I just said you shouldn't add percentages related to different quantities, like you did.
If you don't want people to correct your mistakes, then keep your observations for yourself.
I don't know what you mean by these numbers nor want to continue with this discussion, which is pretty OT anyway.
3574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: October 28, 2015, 11:48:56 AM
The quark miners are escaping from nicehash. Maybe because all the other pools are paying much bether..

Quark rates:

http://nicehash.com: 0.17 BTC/GHASH
http://ffpool.net:0.28 BTC/GHASH
http://yiimp.ccminer.org:0.29 BTC/GHASH
http://hashpower.co/: 0.7671 BTC/GHASH

yes but hashpower is broken: wrong estimates (counting the diff of a coin and the exchange value of another) and no shares accepted for days.

that's becoming increasingly laughable :-)

even if the pool (which is not mine, I've got nothing to do with them) declared a higher percentage of shares done vs expected, it would be at their disadvantage (less luck... if you believe in it).

I just stepped in because it made me smile when you added the percentages like you did :-)
3576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin - 1 | ASIC - 0 | Lyra2RE | Decentralised | GPU Mineable | Open Source on: October 28, 2015, 10:34:23 AM
You can't sum percent values like that.
Sum the shares and it's all correct.

LOL! No comments! Grin

Look on other pools!

Maybe you should read some mathematics book :-)
Or google "adding percentages"

Here's a Pool with 1% fee guys:

https://sib.suprnova.cc

Anyone got linux sources for the GPU miner ?

https://github.com/ivansib/sgminer

Hmm really weird.. Doesn't build for me with "no rule to make target all"...

I compiled it recently, just did the usual autogen.sh, configure and make
And I usually do git clone --recursive so I don't end up with json errors ;-)

Yup same here.. It's not the first time I compile a miner.. I'll try it on another box.. maybe the testbox is somehow fucked Wink

I hope that's the case, otherwise good luck with m4 :-D

The fury is showing its muscles in bastion!
And the opencl compiler for tahiti is weird, at the least...
The hawaii one is much smarter and stable.

I think the fury has buldt in AES instructions. On the NVIDIA side the whirlpool algo is the bottleneck.

whirlpool is slow on nvidia because it's not bitsliced (like groestl).
table lookup is fast on amd, instead.
