3561  Economy / Lending / Re: Wtb 17 BTC and Borrow 7 (Closed) on: November 15, 2012, 08:39:57 PM
LionHeart is still posting, claiming that he's working with aura.flux on repayment. Is this true?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=124384.msg1336549#msg1336549

Oh and now he's selling Amazon gift codes!  Surprise surprise! Cheesy  So he now fits line item #7 in the How to spot a scammer guide.
3562  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before lending your coins!) on: November 15, 2012, 08:14:37 PM
Updated the OP to reflect the successful loans.
3563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone really think Terracoin is a threat to Litecoin on: November 15, 2012, 05:37:47 PM
As much as I like Litecoin, it's just another alt chain that isn't Bitcoin.  IMHO there should be some normalization of alt coin exchange rates based roughly upon difficulty, market cap, and block reward.
3564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i0coin UPDATES on: November 15, 2012, 04:24:57 PM
Lightlord, didn't you design the i0coin logo?

Steelhouse, aren't you that nutjob that wanted the block reward to be something like 1 coin or some shit?
3565  Economy / Lending / Re: 5BTC for one week at 10% [funded by ffcitatos] on: November 15, 2012, 02:43:17 PM
PSST.  If you're trying to build rep, don't say you're doing a transaction just to build rep.

Dudes, what else do you suggest? Time machine? I think heart_mons is being honest here and he should be rewarded for that, not made fun of.

FWIW, I listed his threads up in the "How to spot a scammer" thread as soon as they went up.  And I also initially flagged his account in the "Post-count pumpers (soon to be scammers)" thread (albeit not for post-count pumping). I hope I'm wrong!
3566  Economy / Goods / How to prevent yourself from being scammed on: November 14, 2012, 06:37:59 PM
This topic is a spin-off of my "How to spot a scammer" thread in the Lending section, which I'd urge you to read first before attempting any transactions here.  It's geared more toward loan scammers, but a lot of it is applicable to Goods as well (tangible and digital).

How to protect yourself:

1. If you're thinking about purchasing anything from a relatively new user from this forum, ALWAYS USE A TRUSTED ESCROW.

Yeah, that's about it.  It's so simple I don't understand why people don't do this ALL the time.  Good luck, and happy deal hunting Smiley
3567  Economy / Lending / Re: 3BTC loan to repay 3.5 on 11/29 on: November 14, 2012, 06:01:04 PM
Good to hear!  Thanks for the update.
3568  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a micro loan for 4-5 days on: November 14, 2012, 01:36:47 AM
Grats on the successful loan. I'll update the status in my thread accordingly.
3569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PPC price is blowing up! on: November 13, 2012, 10:49:10 PM
.0006X now.  I suspect people are reasoning that since PPC is about a third as difficult (coins per day speaking) to mine as LTC, it should be priced accordingly.  That would put it around the .002X level; hence the run-up... There's still a long way to go though.
3570  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: millionbitcoins.com on: November 11, 2012, 03:13:17 PM
Ripoff of http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/ from circa 2004.
3571  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a micro loan for 4-5 days on: November 10, 2012, 02:12:47 PM
Looks like he seems to have lost all interest in posting when it became apparent he wasn't getting a loan.  That's often a fairly accurate indicator it was a scam to begin with.
3572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTT] PPC for TRC on: November 09, 2012, 09:55:30 PM
I have 100 TRC that I'd sell for 3500 PPC.

LOL love the conversion rate. 3500% more value in TRC than PPC. Cheesy

Hey, I'd take 4000 PPC too Tongue
3573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTT] PPC for TRC on: November 09, 2012, 09:42:58 PM
I have 100 TRC that I'd sell for 3500 PPC.
3574  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before lending your coins!) on: November 09, 2012, 08:33:21 AM
There are some new loan requests showing up that fit the typical scam cookie cuter template. Lenders beware.
3575  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 38 Bitcoin Loan (I'm a WOMAN!) on: November 08, 2012, 11:21:30 PM
LOL well played, sir.  Well played Smiley
3576  Economy / Lending / Re: [Loan] 20 btc personal loan on: November 07, 2012, 09:09:01 PM
thanks tomato. I'm glad to see we can make peace.

NP, but I'm not really trying to make peace so much as I'm just calling it as I see it.  Your activity speaks for itself through content of your posts and history of debt repayment.  Good luck with your loan Smiley
3577  Economy / Lending / Re: $100 Moneypak for sale - 9 BTC on: November 07, 2012, 08:24:09 PM
You can move threads that you create.  Lower left link on the page.  I just did it with one of my threads, but it leaves a trail of redirects and ends up looking messy if you keep moving it Tongue
3578  Economy / Lending / Re: $100 Moneypak for sale - 9 BTC on: November 07, 2012, 08:09:27 PM
Wouldn't this be better served in Currency Exchange Huh
3579  Economy / Lending / Re: [Loan] 20 btc personal loan on: November 07, 2012, 06:31:14 PM
Attn Newbies: If you're going to make an account and request a loan shortly thereafter, THIS is how you do it. Notice how Lurk has good forum posts that actually contribute to the topic.  He has a small track record of successful loans as well.
3580  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $120 Moneypack for 10 BTC on: November 07, 2012, 06:25:55 PM
Weird. No activity for well over a year, the out of nowhere a Moneypack deal.  Something doesn't seem right.
