I would've understood the point of offering this service if it was for receiving packages and forwarding them, but letters? Barely anyone uses that in third world countries, let alone Europe.
Your service is also overpriced even compared to reship companies, especially if we take in consideration that you're only scanning letters and sending their digital copies to emails.

You can start a trade and ask him to not send any gift cards codes and then you don't have to release anything to him. I would highly suggest staying from that user though:
- With these rates, it's very likely that the gift cards are bought with a stolen credit card. - That user doesn't have any feedback since December 2019 (account might have been sold to someone else)

- Let the users be able to submit services without making an account. - You should not be forced to add a description, screenshots, etc. when making a scam report, some people would just want to ask if a certain service is legit or not, a title would be sufficient for that. - Allow (everyone) to comment on these scam reports. Just implement "Disqus". - A better search system (filtering). Also, ICOs are almost always a scam, there is no need to list them. Stick to exchanges, mixers, hardware sellers, etc.
Also, for a website that is supposed to list scams, you want users to find your website through search engines when they are checking if a service is legit or not. So by copy/pasting scam accusations from the forums, you're not really doing yourself a favor (not good for SEO).

Not sure what do you mean by a "proper broker" but If you're referring to Over-the-counter (OTC trading) to buy/sell large amounts, then you have Circle, Kraken OTC or ItBit.
If you just want alternatives then for Binance (crypto-crypto) then you have Bittrex and Kucoin. For coinbase (fiat trading), you can use Coinmama, or BitPanda, both support multiple payment methods.
|
|

I would suggest trying Bluewallet, you can leave notes and it's also a very good wallet to experiment with the lightning network. And If you are interested in a multi-coin wallet with a great UI, there is Exodus (closed source).

My instant thoughts was this after I read the article. Also I've heard about Paxful adding limits on transaction without verification
Yes. You're forced to submit your documents if your trading volume exceed 1500$. Sellers (long term suppliers who are looking to build trust) are probably the ones who are going to have a hard time with this. As for the buyers, I'm pretty sure they would just abuse the system and make multiple accounts each time they reach the limit since all it takes to make an account is a phone number (Of course, that's not recommended unless you want to lose your funds).

Here are some other wallets that support sweeping: Hodl wallet, BRD, Edge app. Also, If I'm not mistaken, it's not possible to sweep/import private keys for Trezor directly through its web interface, you have to use Electrum (or Exodus) for that purpose. So it might be a good idea to add that info.

According to this article, epayments is only available for EEA residents, so it's worth adding that you can order TenX only if you're from the APAC region (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand) and the card is only available in USD. Same thing with Monaco, only available in U.S/Singapore. @OP There are other cards like Paycent but the fees are not that attractive... You probably should go with either Coinbase (unless you're from Malta or Czech republic) or Wirexapp, they're the best options (for EU) right now.

alright, has there appeared better alternatives to Exodus? Because I cannot really find anything better than this one ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You have Atomicwallet. it supports over 300 cryptos and It's not that much different from Exodus, especially when it comes to UI. There has been a serious accusation against them being linked to other scam companies in the past, but aside from that, I haven't seen many users complaining about it. Or there is also Coinomi, but I would only consider it as a better alternative for the mobile version because even though they do have a desktop wallet, it's not as good as Exodus.

I'm a little confused about how the escrow system works. I understand it's non-custodial, so a BTC seller apparently escrows via a P2WSH transaction.
Let's say a buyer pays but the seller doesn't release the BTC. How does the dispute mechanism proceed from there? How does Localcryptos or the buyer force release of the escrow?
Everything is explained here in details: https://blog.localcryptos.com/how-bitcoin-escrow-works/So in short, in order to unlock the escrow's transaction, two inputs are needed. One is the buyer's public key and the other one can either be the seller's secret code or the arbitrator's in case of a dispute (which allow to either return or release the funds). @figmentofmyass
No KYC... until the site becomes big and popular...
-snip-
It appears that they have some plans for it (but in a different way): https://blog.localcryptos.com/preventing-identity-theft-with-optional-id-verification/

If you're not the one selling the goods and you are going to allow your users to sell/buy products, BTCPayServer may not be the best solution here. My advice would be to run your own node (bitcoind), assign addresses for your users and store them in a database. Bitcoind will notify you whenever a transaction happens, so if a user makes a deposit, all you need to do is update the database with the user's new balance. If the user buys a product, no bitcoin transactions should be made. Instead, the values (balances) in the database should change. If a user have 0.2 BTC in his balance, and then he buys a product that costs 0.1 BTC... 0.1 BTC +0.004 BTC (4% platform fees) should be deducted from his balance and 0.1 BTC should be added to the seller's wallet (always, on the database). Now, whenever a withdrawal request is made from a user's dashboard, that's when you make an on-chain transaction based on the user's balance found in the database. In order to do any of the above, you have to be familiar with Bitcoin-CLI[1][2]. That answer is not explaining why the user above (AdolfinWolf) and I have different have to wait for a different amount of confirmation. I don't have to wait for any, while he has to wait for 6 confirmations, the bitcoin network and fees have nothing to do with that.
Also, here are some things you may want to look into:
- The filter is not automatically reset after closing the website and opening it again. If you choose "Canada" as a region and come back later to the shop, it will remain the same. - Whenever you add products to the cart and then buy them, they'll remain there. That's not the normal behavior, gift cards should be removed from the cart if your order went through without problems.

Hmm. Can you point out which part did you translate? cause I don't see anything. It's the exact same thing except for the introduction which is not that important.
He didn't translate anything. Even OP of the turkish thread didn't do anything except taking screenshots from withdrawalfees.com and not mentioning the source.

Buying Bitcoin through paypal means you need to clear KYC. That is not the whole Idea of Bitcoin. I understand that some people would want to use PayPal but, in my point it is better to use an exchange straight a's most exchanges allow you to buy 2BTC without KYC.
You're referring to altcoins exchanges like Binance and Kucoin, that doesn't really help in this case. People want to buy bitcoins using their fiat. I do agree though, that KYC defeats the whole purpose of using bitcoin but there are plenty of alternatives out there (as mentioned above), but sadly, some of us seem to not mind sacrifying their privacy on the cost of gaining speed and convenience.

So, when Paypal allowed to reverse transactions, it made the exchange of Virwox at risk, right? It seems that it is a reason for them to close
I doubt it. Virwox has been doing PayPal/BTC since 2013 If I'm not mistaken so the risk of chargeback has always been there. The very high fees and the limits set on PP transactions is what helped them, so even if they had people doing chargebacks, they probably were still on profit.
