Alright look, I know c137's generally aren't too bright, but the entire multiverse is actually like a whoooole bunch of individual atoms in an ocean. And the ocean is endless. And, well, now you know.
Takes a C137 to know a C137.

Or are you going to actually tell me where that ocean is located?
The multiversal ocean is located literally EVERYWHERE. What, weren't you paying attention or something?
That's about as informative as "God did it all". (Do reference in case I really wasn't paying attention though.)
There is no god! Except when I'm trapped in multiple dimensions at once with a slim chance of survival. But that's temporary.
C137 confirmed. Nobody was trapped in multiple dimensions, it was multiple time lines. And don't even try to pretend that "But that's temporary." was a subtle reference to that!
Multiple timelines are functionally identical to multiple dimensions. There is a reason nobody has gone back in time and shot good old Adolf yet, it wouldn't work. Because it's like a different dimension.
No, the real reason nobody has gone back in time and shot good old Addy yet is because a certain someone went back first to shoot the arriving time traveller.

And multiple timelines can't be functionally identical to multiple dimensions, although they could be similar if we're talking about spatial dimensions within a universe rather than dimensions on which individual universes exist.
Actually the real reason is the space-time bureau. Fucking bureaucrats. But, you know, let's just go with your version, whatever.
No, you're actually correct. I completely forgot about the fucking bureaucrats. They fuck literally everything over.

Bitcoin down to $8135. Is Bitcoin dying?

Bitcoin up to $8153.  Is Bitcoin a bubble?

Bitcoin still  $8153. Is Bitcoin getting stable?

Bitcoin $8081.  Bitcoin is dead.
I checked 1 minute ago and it was at $8111. It's coming down hard and fast.

BTC may not recover, but instead money will flow back to the superior, original bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash. Buy bitcoins now for under $400 again! Watch for the BCC related conference coming up this week. Huge things ahead! Don't be in the dark on these developments!
Nothing wrong if you like bitcoin cash as an investment, but how we can trust in the coin for the long term when it is very clear the coin is being manipulated by the miners, I would not want to invest my money in a coin that can move in such a way just because a group of people wanted to manipulate the price.
It's really hard to call a manipulative shitcoin an investment. Would require a lot of imagination...

Read many similar threads. Do you guy trust the information provided by newbies?

I always do due diligence first, before considering any recommendation by unfamiliar people.
I don't even trust trusted members and only invest in what I understand 100% from beginning to end. If I don't understand where real value is created, I stay away by default. All of the buzzwordy alts will come crashing down eventually.

after all these news over the last weekend, im glad i didnt panicked and react to sell my btc
i mean look at the gain, its almost $8000 today!
Yes, lots of fake news last week and panic, I was nervous for a while and was considering dumping my bitcoins, but I did not, I expect by the end of this year, it will reach 10k USD.
If you are the type that easily gets nervous, just do yourself a favour and stay away from the news.

Amazon really is one of the most fascinating companies around right now. I have a strong feeling that Bezos will keep surprising people in the next decades over and over.
Finally , I will buy with my coins This is a great New for Cryptocurrency and for all crypto lover. Hopefully this is truly legit!
Check the date and do more research. So far there is nothing official from Amazon other than a few registered domains.

the entire universe is a bubble
Which one?
3572  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin rise to $500k in three years? on: November 21, 2017, 09:47:56 PM
$50k in 2 years
$100k in 3-4 years
$500k in 10 years???

I think $500k is possible, though not in 2020. I think most likely Bitcoin will end up somewhere between $100k and $500k and probably won't actually hit $500k.

I do not know how or where you base your computation/prediction but I believe it will not touch $50k in 3 years time.  It will need a huge audience and huge capitalization in order to get in that price and as we can observe, Bitcoin is somehow slow on getting into $10k plus.  Even though Bitcoin is rallying today, who know it might be a bull Trap though I hope it is not.

Don't know how you are saying slow getting to $10k...it's been racing from $1k to $10k this year and will very likely attain $10k next month. Is 10x growth in one year slow???

"It will need a huge audience and huge capitalization"...yeah, and what do you think has been happening to Bitcoin this past year? It's called exponential growth. Even if Bitcoin were to only grow linearly, which it obviously will not, that'd still put it close to $40k in 3 years. And that's with linear growth, so that is way lower than what Bitcoin growth will actually be, because Bitcoin has never grown at a linear rate.

My computations are based on the rate of growth slowing down a lot after this year as naturally it will as the market cap grow and it gets harder to move. The price will likely hit $10k this year, that's 900% growth. If we assume a major slowdown to 200% growth in 2018 that gives us $30k, and then slowing down to under 100% growth in the following years puts it at about $50k in 2019 and $100k within two years after that. And honestly the growth could very well be much quicker than this. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see >$30k, >$60k, >$100k these next three years.

As for the reasons why it's pretty obvious to me that this will happen:

- Futures contracts are supposed to start next month, people on wall street are all saying this will serve as the "all ok" for institutional investors to start jumping into Bitcoin. Hedge funds will start directly investing in Bitcoin, as one $100 billion UK hedge fund has already said they will do once they see futures implemented, and Goldman Sachs CEO has also recently said he is considering it. Eventually they will all jump on board. Hedge fund participation alone might raise the price by tens of thousands of dollars over the next few years. Then there are also ETFs which allow your average non-rich investor to invest in Bitcoin as part of this standard financial vehicle, so that'll bring in a lot of normal people who invest their money but only trust standard financial instruments for their investments. ETFs alone could also raise the price by 5 digits.

- Bitcoin integration in popular payment apps. This just began yesterday with Square. No doubt in the next year or two Venmo and Paypal and other will follow suit in order to compete. This means that suddenly millions more people can buy bitcoin directly from the mainstream payment apps that they already use, rather than having to research how to get Bitcoin and what its all about. This normalizes it a lot. Not to mention Coinbase has pretty much been the only good fast easy way to buy Bitcoin up until this point, so have a whole industry of tech companies offering Bitcoin buy/sell services rather than just one company will grow Bitcoin adoption a lot. Also another huge boost to Bitcoin will come from when Square has Bitcoin fully integrated and they allow payments through it, hundreds of thousands of shops who use Square's point of sale system will automatically be able to start taking Bitcoin as payment.

-User adoption is growing as word is spreading and so organic user growth will continue to grow at an ever expanding rate for years to come. This alone will raise the price by tens of thousands of dollars the next few years.

-Amazon Bitcoin payments. This will absolutely happen within the next three years I believe and it will be huge for legitimizing Bitcoin as a major player for payments online.

-Governments are starting to realize the need to write Bitcoin into the legal framework of the economy by enacting regulations for Bitcoin. This legitimizes it in a legal sense and will make many people more comfortable with the idea of buying Bitcoin.

The only question is can bitcoin development innovate enough to keep up with demand! So far they are kind of failing to keep up with demand, but if they can succeed in the long run there's no reason why Bitcoin can't be 6 digits in under 5 years.
People see a few coins gaining x10-1000 and think that's the norm. It's so painfully obvious that the majority doesn't understand finance or how value is created... which is how the dot com bubble and similar scenarios panned out. I keep trying to warn people, hopefully one or two will actually sit back and start analyzing the market instead of following trends they don't even understand.

Tokenize milk production? Really? Are you kidding?

Why not? This is a real economy - always beneficial to investors

I do not know ... ICO is something high-tech, computer. It's silly to tokenize a regular farm

Then you have misunderstood ICOs, which is how ICOs also manipulate people. ICO is simply an Initial Coin Offering, or in most cases as you can see a token offering. These days they are referred to as token generation events.

ICO is simply using blockchain as a new model for venture capital, in other words a different/decentralized model for fund raising, like a Kickstarter project, except secure through smart contracts.

Lots of new ICOs are actually nothing more than that, but pretend to be more. MilkCoin is for an actual industry. Why not an ICO?
I've tried to explain this several times throughout numerous threads as well.

Most people don't seem to have any clue what ICOs and tokens are about... But what can you expect in such a young market.

I can't wait for the day this becomes the default method of raising capital though.

Once serious players join the fray Bitcoin & co will really take off for the moon and beyond.

Hopefully MilkCoin will try again once the market becomes a bit more rational and calculated instead of its current emotional and impulsive attitude.

3575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2017, 09:41:20 PM
According to a newsletter from The James Altucher Report, Amazon will soon begin accepting Bitcoin, which they will officially announce as early as October 26th during their earnings conference call.
It's November.
Yep,  and they aren't going to accept it anytime soon haha.

This is nothing actually. I think this is just a way for the visitors of this thread to click on the link and have it well-read. Another subtle ploy to bait people here. Amazon could accept Bitcoin. It simply means that there is a possibility that Amazon would do that but it is not definite. And for all we know, possibilities are unlimited. It could also mean as much as Amazon will not accept Bitcoin at all.

too much current speculation. many media are taking advantage of this opportunity to create news in such a way that visitors on the news portal a lot. especially now the more famous bitcoin. even sometimes the news is not necessarily true and not based on fact, just speculation, as you explain.
I really want to know how many news articles are placed for market manipulation. Like that JP Morgan guy and the "leading Economists" who call Bitcoin a failure etc.
Amazon did well as they matured themselves before the time and this shows the bitcoin impact and visionary thinking of amazon administration and this thing is for sure that bitcoin give eases to everyone who adopts it and as amazon did the most right thing this coin will help amazon to earn more and to get on the top of online stores and this has been started since last month and people are buying and paying.
Amazon really is one of the most fascinating companies around right now. I have a strong feeling that Bezos will keep surprising people in the next decades over and over.

A well-hidden bunker that's built in the mountains or a forest and that is not bombed that often. If it's found, it should be strong enough not to let in intruders without machines and heavy equipment. It should be at a depth of 3 meters. For one family the area of 30 m2 and height of 2m should be enough. The food should be enough to last for 5 years. Candles, soap and so on, plus you should make a shaft for water in advance. All in all, I can describe a perfect bunker for a while, but who needs it?) You can just go to the mountains and hide there. Other option is going to the open sea if there's no navy. All I can say that wars happen because of people's stupidity.
If there's nuclear fallout you'll have a really hard time surviving without significant preparation before the fact.
3578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would YOU choose to live forever? on: November 21, 2017, 09:32:12 PM
No one can live forever! The sun will go out, if you run the Galaxy will go out, if you run the Universe will go out!
That is only true under very specific assumptions that we do not know whether or not they are true.

If they are true, it is possible to create a subsection of the universe in which life can continue indefinitely without violating the laws of thermodynamics.
3579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: November 21, 2017, 09:30:38 PM
Sorry to say I am out and just sold the 900 tokens I had Sad  .  I made 10% on them atleast.   I hope this succeeds for investors sake.  I feel for the people who paid top dollar for it.

Personally I think that the competition might be too much from Tenx (PAY) already having a working card.  Members in the U.S. are already receiving cards and they look very good.

Best of luck to those that remain.  Its always sad to see an investment not perform. Doesnt mean it wont in the future. For me I just prefer to put my money elsewhere.
This is how I feel too.

MonaCo was one of my absolute favourite ICOs and I was very disappointed about how they treated the AC issue and tried to just shrug it off.

If not for that I would be doubling down right now, but given the situation I chose to exit as well in favour of projects like SONM.
3580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wish I never bought altcoins on: November 21, 2017, 09:27:04 PM
Would have been much better off just leaving everything in bitcoin. Altcoins suck.

Not true! The truth is if you bought some that went 20000% you would have done WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY better then BTC. Isn't that a true statement?
The difficulty is in finding those coins.

And the art is carefully balancing your portfolio in a way that you'll outperform holding Bitcoin even if you don't hit a goldmine.

Of course that includes holding some Bitcoins in proportion to your risk appetite.
