3561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Data PROVES It: The Wealthy Were BUYING, As Amateurs Sold In Fear... on: July 23, 2021, 10:46:20 AM
I guess it's pretty obvious, the whales have deep pockets and will continue to accumulate as long as bitcoin is very cheap on their eyes. As compare of like average joes, who might invest money that they can't afford to lose and hoping that they will hit the jackpot in short amount of time.

Nevertheless when the price goes down, just like what we've witnessed in the last 2 months. They sold in fear and panic.
3562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 23, 2021, 10:13:45 AM
Garin tough makes a tough comeback in the second set and winning 6-1.

So I don't think there will be an upset as it seems that he has found his rhythm in this match and leading the 3rd set now.

Djere, rank number 7 is still there, so 3 rank players in the quarter finals.
3563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 23, 2021, 09:27:51 AM
Before he went to the Suns, he is in the Thunder and carried the team literally because no one really expected them to go into the playoffs but he did the impossible.
Now he got traded from a team which didn't experienced any playoffs for years but have promising players like Ayton and Booker. He literally changed the whole team and its the first time of the Suns to go to the NBA Finals after years of drought.

He has at least 2 years still to get a title and for sure he will stay on the Suns. The only thing that the Suns lacked in the Finals was a big. Saric and Kaminsky are both injured at that time and they don't have any other but Ayton. With how the Suns played in this season, I'm thinking that they will be a team to be reckoned with because they are a strong team. They will come back next season and will enter the playoffs again.

I'm anxious about the return of Suns in next season, I hope he makes great signings and strengthens the team!

Practically CP3 led the Suns to the finals, Ayton and Booker played very well, the best thing is that they are young and will improve in future, they are like diamonds that will be cut.

Ayton and Booker played in the NBA Playoffs for the first time last playoffs so maybe there is a bit of a problem there especially the experience factor but now that they've already experienced it and they know the feeling, they will come back stronger this year.

Let the core players stay like Paul, Booker and Ayton. Trade some players especially their bigs. I'm thinking right now if they might get Howard or Love into the team. For sure that would be a great addition to their inside defense or even just another big that isn't prone to injuries. They will improve for sure Smiley

I'm not sure about Love though, he will be a good addition, but Kevin shows intention to be in Portland, that's what he prefer because that's his hometown.

But I do agree that Ayton and Booker will improved a lot next year based on the strength of their performance in this playoffs and reaching the finals. Yes, it's really hard to lose in the finals, but sometimes it's better to experience it early in your career so that you can developed and progress into a better player.
3564  Economy / Speculation / Re: TESLA will re-accept bitcoin & SpaceX owns BTC, said Elon Musk. Ready for pump ? on: July 22, 2021, 10:37:46 AM
And I think it's time that we troll Elon, Lol, he lost his credibility to the bitcoin market and even if he tells that he holds btc personally, I doubt that it will have enough impact to the market.

Someone should be telling him in his tweeter account that he can't be longer called bitcoin influencer. He doesn't have it anymore. And regardless if he is going to re-accept bitcoin in the future, it doesn't change anything.
3565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 22, 2021, 09:49:17 AM
^^ Yes, Portis is also a big contributor not just in offense but somewhat when he is inside he can inspire the team, now that's one intangible that you can obviously, can't measure.

For the Phoenix Suns, yes, Paul will not retire, he will still chase that championship ring. He is still healthy but needs to be really be careful. Not sure about those super teams rumors though, it will just tip the balance again. And Bucks proved that you don't need to build one, just one good caliber player in Giannis and then surround with quality supporting and role players.
3566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 22, 2021, 09:04:34 AM
Djere vs Bergs already happening as of now, Djere is the favorite to win but I'll pass on this match. I'm not that familiar with those names, specially Bergs.
I totally missed my picks today, good thing I did not post them in time to give wrong ideas to you guys Smiley I had Bergs +3.5, and that is after I switched from Bergs to take a set to more "secure" option. Of course he won a set and did not cover the spread.

Than I had Delbonis -3.5 and he lost first set 6:0 and killed my bet, than I tried Delbonis to win and at least that one went well since I cashed out in time before he lost his match. This is very big surprise for me, I was sure he is going trough.

Ah well, total bust today but yesterday I had a great day so still in the green.
Seems most of the tennis bettors here have been bust by the Delbonis and Bautista-Agut lost.

But I guess it's time to move on again, -5.5 for Ruud vs Novak. However, I'm not that confident that Ruud can cover that spread though. Lots o surprises in this tournament. Ruud though still leads the first set and looking for a break point currently.
3567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest winning so far on: July 22, 2021, 08:36:34 AM
The last year I really had some bad luck in gambling but during the first months or better the first 3 months of 2021 I won a lot of money by playing slots (normally I lost them again) but I hit payouts x2000 or more of my initial bet in slot machines this year.As for in sport gambling the bad luck of 2020 continues to hit me as I have almost lost every ticket I have played in 2021.Lately I play rarely both slots and sport betting,in fact in sport betting I only bet on F1 and Motorsports mostly this year.
Same here, the last couple of weeks alone, I have lost .05 BTC on slots alone. I've become addicted again. I also do normal sports betting, but I don't know, started to be suckered again by slots games online and offline. Win some of sports betting, but I haven't that kind of excitement when playing slots. It's not just me alone, me and my wife plays together so that big lost couldn't just be attributed to me (this is just my excuse of course.)
3568  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go down below $20,000. on: July 21, 2021, 11:10:32 AM
Everything is possible, so news like accepting first Bitcoin ETF, will make the price multiply several times within a short period, and testing levels such as $100,000 will be for certain hours or days, but it will not continuous.
Remember, part of what happened in 2017 was for a short time.
The price could return to the levels of $70,000, but the question is when and whether it will double above that limit or not?
Yeah, lots of questions are going to pop up, specially about if the price is going to be sustainable to even reach $100k. I'm very positive person, but with the current state of the market movement, it really begs me to question if even we can get to a new all time high at least before the end of the year. There are tons of prediction that 6 digit can be reach, but it will take a lot of time and money to be poured on the market just to be able to reach $50k this year. In 2017, or early 2018 when the price is about to go down, people are shouting that there's no way that the price could go below $10k, but we have seen it happened.
3569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can prediction results affect the actual market? on: July 21, 2021, 09:53:13 AM
I've been thinking that now there are many market prediction projects. I'm using X predict market for example.

People will be able to somehow know the market anticipation in advance. Like will the price of btc rise or decrease?

But this information might change participators' choices again, how should we adjust our strategy according to this kind of information?
Then adjust your buy or sell orders. That's why it's not that easy to really predict where the price is going, technical indicators are good help, but there are factors that can suddenly change the mood of the market and it could get worst or better. And the only thing to hedge is to really took the time to see how the market is moving, let's say in a 4 hour time frame and make your trading adjustments run time.

[..snip..]

[..snip..]

Congrats to both of you, it seems though that there are no consensus in the final game. And maybe others are rooting for the Suns to win and force a game 7.

But Giannis is too much for the Suns to handle. They were down and I said that we might see a decider in Phoenix but then again, they come back take the lead in the 3rd and didn't let it go. I guess we have to wait for the next season. Hopefully though they will be back on regular schedule, - October-June.
3571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 21, 2021, 08:49:25 AM
^^ Good for you. I'll probably look for the Shapovalov vs Kopriva match.

Probably a -4.5 handicap can be cover by Shapovalov and the risk is much lower.

Djere vs Bergs already happening as of now, Djere is the favorite to win but I'll pass on this match. I'm not that familiar with those names, specially Bergs.
3572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: July 21, 2021, 08:11:14 AM
I am planning to bet on Nigeria against Australia. Is it going to be a nice bet? The odds is around 3.55. If the team was able to beat the number one rank which is the United States, it is also possible they would defeat Australia right? I haven't watched the US vs Nigeria game just recently. So even if it was a really an unexpected upset, I don't know whether the game was really close or it was just a stroke of luck that Nigeria turned out a winner. Will watch some highlights later if schedule permits.
But that was just pre-Olympics and could even be considered a friendly game. Yes, Nigeria upset the US that time, but then again, maybe the US didn't really gave their 100% on that game.

In any case mate, it's a very attractive odd and Nigeria has a chance against the Australians. Nigerians also boosted with NBA players as well. So if you are willing to take that risk, then go for it.
3573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 20, 2021, 02:38:16 AM
If that was a KO win, Spence will be recognized. If that was an Anonymous decision, and Spence really wins without question on some rounds, then he will be recognized. But if he win questionably, I doubt it will increase his fame.
Definitely a KO win would bring popularity to Spence. This might be the last fight of Manny depending on his decision for the next year. We're aware of what's about to happen but still not officially announced.

And we are not sure if Manny will retire, win or lose against Spence. He seems to be not ready for it, he still have that itch that he needs to scratch from time to time.
Few years back I remembered he also said that he will retire but it seems like he is not serious back then. He's not getting younger anymore and would be better for him to focus in a career that he wants.
So I guess it all hangs on this fight, whether Pacquiao will retire for good and focus on his political career or continue on his boxing even though he is ageing.

So at this point we have to wait for the outcome, I don't remember though him saying that he is going to retire. After his lost to Jeff Horn, he comeback strong. One thing I heard though is that his mother and wife wanted him to retire.
3574  Economy / Speculation / Re: David Gokhshtein: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $80K on: July 20, 2021, 02:06:57 AM
Full of positive thoughts I've read lately, though it makes me feel great but that's in reverse to the real situation of market price right now. As of the moment, btc goes down at $31k yet the signal on blockfolio is red now and I don't know how to figure this out how that $80k speculation came to that certain point. Let's see what will exist soon, honestly stating a specific figures of value was really the hardest thing right now.
If he or anyone else predicted that the price would reach $80k it will reach in due time, even i can predict any valuation which is hundred thousand and we will reach those valuation irrespective of the current market situation because every four year Bitcoin controls its inflation rate in the form of halving and that reduces the number of coins mined on a daily basis and these factors alone will push the market higher in the long run but to predict exactly when these valuations would reach is another mystery but we will reach them eventually and we do not need any mystic predictors for that  Wink.

TA is your friend if you want to predict the price but it's not guarantee as well.

And it's very obvious that maybe this guy has some bitcoin and he wanted to predict a good price because as a holder that's what we wanted to see right?

$64k last previous high, so $80k is still achievable although the market is not really doing good in 2 months straight now.
3575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 20, 2021, 01:35:35 AM
Of course it turns out to be very interesting, we have the OG Chris Paul and then the upcoming Booker who has that Mamba mentality. And then on the other side, it's Giannis at the peak of his career and the supporting cast of 2 Olympic bound players, Middleton and Holiday.

In the beginning the favoured to win is the Western Conference. But it seems that there will be a big upset here in this finals as the Bucks win 3 straight games, and Suns haven't lost back to back in this series. And the last time they lost 3 in a row was January.

What makes is boring initially is that they thought that the Phoenix Suns are going to sweep, based on their 2 straight wins. But the tide has change, Bucks has the momentum and will give everything next game so win the finals and end the drought of 50 years of winning again.
Had that prediction that you said. West will win it without a bang.
Sweep or just giving away 1 win as a gift to make it not look so bad. But it changed. I didn't expect the Bucks to play like this, with a purpose.
Winning against the Nets is no joke and I think they learned a lot with that experience then used it against the fast and offensive Suns.
Giannis is growing fast and this Bucks roster will be scary if kept. Chemistry + experience = more championships.
Even if you look at the polls, it was Phoenix who are the heavy favored team to win. But Bucks think otherwise, I think they have found the perfect combination with Giannis just about to hit his prime years and then Middleton and Holiday the next option if Giannis is not clicking.

Yeah, if this win here, they could go back to back, just saying. They are scary with Giannis ability and he is still a work in progress.
3576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 20, 2021, 01:06:35 AM
So the US Open Grand Slam is over a month away, I cannot see any tournaments
where the big names are playing, are the olympics the main focus of many now or
are there other tournaments which will be used as lead ins to the US GS?

There is this tournament Swiss Open, but no big names and this is clay so I doubt that is in preparation for US Open.

Shapovalov is rank number 1 in it and he will have a match today in the round of 16.

There could be other tournaments arounds or maybe some high rank players are just taking a breather.
3577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Destroy 1,069 Bitcoin Miners With Steamroller In Malaysia on: July 20, 2021, 12:27:43 AM
As far as Asian politics go, I don't think that Malaysia did this to appeased China.

Remember that Malaysia is one country that has territorial claims in the South China Sea, and recently they have summoned China's ambassador after they violated Malaysia's airspace.

Quote
Malaysia says it is to summon China's ambassador after 16 Chinese military aircraft flew over disputed waters off its eastern state of Sarawak.

Fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the transport planes on Monday after detecting "suspicious" activity over the South China Sea.

Malaysia's foreign ministry described the manoeuvre as a "serious threat to national sovereignty".

China, however, said its aircraft had abided by international law.

Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, Taiwan and Vietnam all contest China's claim to almost all of the South China Sea. The row has rumbled on for decades but tensions have increased in recent years.

Beijing continues to claim an area known as the "nine-dash line" and has backed its claim with island-building and patrols, expanding its military presence while maintaining that its intentions are peaceful.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-57328868

@GreatArkansas has a point, maybe this is really in China and not in Malaysia. And assuming this is Malaysia, maybe those miners are tapping illegal electricity and that's why they have to destroyed it in public. And I don't think the Malaysian government is sending signal that they are anti-bitcoin.
3578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot Price Down – Time To Buy DOT? on: July 19, 2021, 02:42:37 PM
I can't say anything directly about Polka, but generally about the current altcoin market. I think you've also noticed that we've been in a bear market for a few weeks. Initially, prices fell abruptly and for several weeks they continue to fall but much slower. Slowly but steadily. So far there is no bottom visible. It reminds a little of the phases after the highs in 2013 and 2017. The bear market can still go further, so buying is currently still not recommended.
Been months now, to be honest though, I'm one of those who regret not investing early, when the price is still too low and seeing a lot of good predictions about this coin. I could have made a good to decent profit about it.

But since we are in a bearish trend right now, I'm still confused if I'm going to invest or now. It's been a waiting game for the majority of us, so I would say it's might be a good time to invest again as the price is at a bargain.
3579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 19, 2021, 12:17:17 PM
Early pick

BUCKS -5 (game 6)
I am also putting my early picks today at Bucks -6.5. Under 224.5. Defense will be on elite level and I don't think they can repeat such a high percentage shooting like Game 5. Foul troubles will be there again and missed free throw attempts because of pressure so I think it will end with a low scoring game.

Cheers to all the winners last time and we may all win this next one again. Could be the final bet for us. Good luck.

They said that closing the series is very hard, but let's trust what the Bucks can do here, they are already on 3 winning streaks and the Suns had not answered so far, so I guess it's time to follow the trend and bet on the Bucks to win. This is the game where the word "if" for bucks should not exist because if they lose this game, they will be in trouble in game 7.
Bucks has twice the chance to win the NBA title so how can they be in trouble? If ever they lose the next game in their homecourt, then they have to travel to Phoenix again. They have proven that they can win in the road so I think they still have their chances in game 7.

The opening line is -5.5 for the Bucks at 1.96. That's too attractive not to missed as they will do their best to close out the show in their home court to have a big celebration after the game.
3580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Castano - July 17 on: July 19, 2021, 03:15:11 AM

It's a draw which I guess we all have different views to it but I think Charlo won the fight. He did allow himself to be in the corner but you can see he was just docking every punch that Castano throw. And every time he hits back, he shakes Castano. Stealing rounds work well but it definitely good to watch the rematch and will probably bet next.
This is unexpected result where everybody believe that Charlo will win but the result says different. I also believe that Charlo should win the fight, the way he punch and counter attack is something that you should not miss. Well, this is on the hand of the judges and they have different points of view so we have to respect it. Nevertheless, a rematch is possible so we might see this two boxer to fight again, that could be more exciting.
That's why fighters doesn't want it to go to the scorecard because most of the time these judges mess it up just like what we have seen in the fight. Charlo hurt Castano in the 10th round, as he admit it, but Charlo failed to capitalised it, he should have knock out or knock down Castano that would have make the difference in this fight. But Castano weathered the storm, and even though he lost the 10-12 round in the judges score card, he was able to secure a good lead prior to that. That's why if Charlo could have knock him down in that 10th, for sure he will be declared the victor here. There should be a rematch in my opinion.
