3561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto going strong! on: May 15, 2018, 10:38:33 AM
Hey guys, what do you think about today’s market situation? Market is growing really fast. Will it keep going like this?

Ofcourse cryptocurrency will do. It has so many project to maintain its status and to grow faster the market. And just hold your coin for a long term and the market will go up fastly because i believed in the qoutes that " the more we invest the more that market go up "

Well with more people being convinced that crypto is the future, it's growth is likely secured unless some grave unfortunate occasion happens. With coins like btc and eth getting huge following as well as other alts, crypto definitely would still have a lot of room to grow.
3562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Alts with ETH or BTC on: May 15, 2018, 10:36:35 AM
It is amazingly confusing for me to understand whether to buy ETH or BTC to trade for ALTS. I plan on holding a good % of BTC and ETH in my portfolio, but when it comes to these fluctuating BTC and ETH prices, I'm never sure whether to buy one first to trade for ALT coins.

Any suggestions?

It is a good time to buy altcoin with Bitcoin  and Ethereum last March because the market is in red state. But you have to keep Bitcoin and and Ethereum for long term hold. Don't make a mistake that you buy it with all altcoins because if Ethereum and Bitcoin pumps up you will regret it.

At this point i still consider ether to be an alt since there's few places where you can directly buy eth compared to btc. I keep quite a lot of both for my general portfolio but i buy alts to hold using btc. Obviously because i earn more btc than eth.
3563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dealing with Bitcoin or Crypto haters. on: May 13, 2018, 02:35:01 PM
people have a funny thing about them usually where they need to feel validated and generally feel good about the choices they make in life, when it comes to something like cryptocurrencies I don't know why people are rarely objective. my advice is: don't engage after the discussion turns into a debate. time will show them.

Lol exactly. For me i simply walk away when people start to be a little aggressive when we're talking about bitcoin. It's not worth it. I don't see thr point in convincing them. It's going to be their loss not mine :p
3564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Party's over. Go get a job, you lazy animals... on: May 13, 2018, 02:32:32 PM
Get a job to have income and joining bitcoin so that you can get extra income is the best way to earn money.

I think people have to learn more flexible, adjust the time and ready to change the work more often. I think the work connect with cryptocurrency in accordance with the picture. some of the prediction said that soon there will be no work full time again. at least not in the form that we know right now. most people will do two or more different jobs, part-time, many of the home and connected to the Internet and modern technology other. and it's not a distant future.

Well i think it's a no brainer that unless you're a whale or you're consistently making a lot through trading, you have to have a stable job. Even when bitcoin is soaring, it's not going to be like that for long so you'll be more comfortable if you have a constant source of income.
3565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you wait to prove them wrong about Bitcoin? on: May 13, 2018, 02:29:06 PM
I believe that the best way to counter misconception is to build awareness about the core of Bitcoin. We should explain what Bitcoin is all about and how blockchain helps us to gain more benefits out of the same efforts. Abusing media and criticizers is waste of energy and it will take us nowhere. It's the time to inculcate the philosophy of blockchain/decentralization among the people. Instead of keep dealing with negative aspects, let's focus on positive things. It all starts with explaining Bitcoin to a single person, who might be your friend, relative or a stranger.
Absolutely! Awareness is the key to conveying the essence and technicalities of what truly bitcoin is. Aside from this, we have to properly educate these people by delivering constructive statements and instead of fighting back it's more productive if we just respond positively. We can't really please and get the attention of every person, but I still believe that there are other people around the corner willing to take the job and be part of Bitcoin without  skepticism. We all can be the source of good information, and optimism towards others but if they still show no interest, at least we do our part and let them realize the importance of bitcoin by themselves, and I guess that's the time we prove them wrong with their negative thoughts about Bitcoin.

It's quite a challenge though since most news concerning bitcoin on mainstream media aren't actually very inviting. Unless people of course make their own research or join forums and discussions. I've experienced a lot times already being rejected when i tell others about btc. I actually don't care anymore.
3566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: May 13, 2018, 02:20:15 PM
Bitcoin Vs Ethereum is like comparing diamond and gold ofcourse, both are valuable, but one is more precious. Bitcoin is on the top which is called the mother of all crypto currencies while ETH is the 2nd crypto currency on coin market. They are both relevant and serve in various purposes.

I wouldn't actually compare it to gold and silver though. Silver will not have more value than gold at any time. With etherium, we wouldn't know if eth will overtake btc in time. Perhaps now it seems unlikely, but its not impossible. Nothing is impossible in this market
3567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Listening To False News... on: May 13, 2018, 02:16:14 PM
The latest fake news is that Bolivia has allegedly banned cryptocurrencies. Just because of someone in Bolivia stating that they are not legally recognized.

Well there's a difference between officially recognized and banned though. Fuds sometimes come from misunderstood statements. It happened a lot of times before and it even caused market drops and that's because people easily fall for them.
3568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Caused the Boom in Bitcoin on: May 13, 2018, 02:10:03 PM
I cause for a success of bitcoins is the fact that bitcoin is the very first cryptocurrency that has been introduced to people and being trusteed and patronized by many before altcoins was launched. The demands made the market up to the highest and for that more and more people desired to invest their money and even sold their other properties just to invest in bitcoin. Me aswell are one of those.

Well people already know that ever since so i don't know that fact is what caused btc to boom. People are becoming aware of btc and crypto right now and you can see it more in television news and social media. Curiosity is probably more of a reason for this boom.
3569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin cliche $36,000 price by the end of next year? on: May 13, 2018, 02:05:44 PM
It's really very hard to reach such a high price by that time.Only if some new projects like bitcoin futures get launched,no such ATH could be reached.Already we know that such an ATH of almost 20,000 dollars didn't reveal its original value. It was just increased due to over expectation. So its baseless to expect such prices.

It's baseless to expect almost anything in crypto. Personally, i think 36k is achievable this year with fomo, same thing that propelled btc to ath last year. It can't be certain of course but up to now we've followed a pattern of having ath annually so i'm quite positive about it.
3570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reasons why Bitcoin is droping: on: May 13, 2018, 01:58:42 PM
some of which you mentioned are very true and I think the most bitcoin prices collapsed when bad news is causing the owners of crypctocurrency assets to panic and ultimately affected to sell cheap so the point is bad news that makes bitcoin to collapse.
bad news that arises, it is very uneasy for bitcoin users, and make bitcoin users that give up because of the news that resulted in bitcoin decreased.

Well bad news mainly affects newbies who keep dping the same mistakes over and over. The thing is, with the influx of newbies after btc's dramatic rise, we can expect a little more volatility until these weak hands become steady
3571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Bitcoins Strategies during downtrend? on: May 13, 2018, 01:56:41 PM
My own strategy is to forget the wallet, I don't visit my wallet untill the downtrend is over to avoid having psychological trauma.

Well there's not much to it anyways but to do the same as you dude or better yet, to take it to your advantage and buy the dip. There's no better time to accumulate coins than when the market is down though not many people see it that way
3572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is investing in bitcoins today late? on: May 12, 2018, 04:08:06 PM
Even though it's current state may deteriorated from it's former peak but as long as bitcoin is not dead it is not too late to invest. Although bitcoin is a bit risky, as long as people willingly look at it deeply one can see how profitable bitcoin can be, so owning a little bit of this currency matters.

Well its not really good to wait for it to move towards the peak before you invest lol. As they always say, buy the dip and whatevers making this current drop, it's making a good opening for people who wants to get in to btc.
3573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opportunity to sell for bitcoin on: May 12, 2018, 04:04:39 PM
I was wondering, if you had an opportunity to sell your stuff alike cars, pc, homethings and etc., would you sell it for bitcoin (or maybe other altcoin)? The main question is to see, are you ready trade stuff for cryptocurrencies and how do you imagine it?

No, I will not sell my stuff to buy bitcoin, I just buy bitcoin from my savings, because I think investing in bitcoin is more likely to get a better profit than saving money in the bank.

Yeah it's quite radical if you go to a point where you sell personal belongings for something as highly volatile as bitcoin. A lot of people, even experienced traders and investors would probably advise against that.
3574  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese Investor bought 10,000 bitcoin during the dip! on: May 12, 2018, 04:02:35 PM
Although the Chinese government restricts the use of cryptocurrencies, large investors from China still continue to invest in this market. So large investors still believe in the potential of bitcoin. This is a good sign. I think this news will affect the market.

Well i don't think the restrictions can affect large investors in china since they can probably invest from outside. The chinese i think are highly into crypto even with their government not in favor of it. Probably one day even jack ma will be drawn to crypto who knows.
3575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think we don't get quality Bitcoin users anymore? on: May 12, 2018, 03:58:48 PM
Maybe I'm wrong but I have the feeling that with Bitcoin price growth we have got a lot of new users who are not honesty and passionate interested in Bitcoin but only in fast, instant profit and if they don't get it they got disappointed and give up. Some of them don't even bother to get some basic knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. That is also the reason why we see so much panic selling when the price dumps. Is that only my feeling or do you think that also?
Of course, this happens and will happen in the future. Indeed, during the last December rise in the price of bitcoin, during this period a lot of people joined it, who had only a speculative goal of profit from the growth of its price. That is why the course of bitcoin so quickly then grew and led to such a strong and prolonged fall. During such a fall, I think, most of these people have left bitcoin again, having suffered losses, and therefore for a long time will not be engaged in crypto-ala. In their place, new investors come. Let's hope that they will have the time and opportunity to learn from the mistakes of previous holders of crypto currency. In any case, awareness of the crypto-alaota, the basic knowledge about it, will grow, at least in connection with the existence of the instinct of self-preservation, in order to improve the security of the storage of their crypto currency and the possibility of making a profit.

Sadly i think that's correct. When the price drops, it drops really hard probably because of new users panic selling with the slightest bad news. If you've been more than 2 years in crypto, i think you can observe the difference between now and say 2016. Though people eventually will learn and weak hands will harden through losses if they choose to stay in crypto.
3576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 12, 2018, 03:54:14 PM
LeBron is on the mission again this year, and for you guys who thinks Celtics can overcome the Cavs, well sorry to say but the chances are very low without their 2 superstars. Experience has a higher winning percentage. Remember what happened with the OKC in the 2012 NBA finals? That team was stacked with young talents, but they lost because they dont have experienced the pressure and atmosphere in a playoff championship game.
It wouldve been a good competetive match up if both teams have a healthy roster.
I agree that the Cavaliers had a big advantage over the Celtics on paper but let us remember that the Sixers are pretty much dominating the Celtics on paper also and it did not translate into the game. The Celts dominated the Sixers and this might also happen to the Cavaliers if they will be overconfident that they will win over the Celtics.

Sixers don't have enough experience in my opinion that's why Celts was able to defeat them. But this time, Some of the Cavs core has been in the playoffs before and knows how to adjust and react which is evidently not present in Sixers that's why the Celts was able to defeat them easily. Now, they are facing Cavs which is very different specially with Lebron James healthy and becoming stronger every game, thus it will be tough to get pas Lebron. And I don't think the Cavs will be over confident as time point. On the contrary, Lebron as others have been saying is on a mission to go the the  championship again and ready for either Harden's Rocket or Curry's Golden State.

Well it's evident that experience played a big part during this year's playoff. The sixers, bucks, jazz, wolves have very talented young core of players but we've seen what experience can do with the remaining 4 teams. Perhaps that's what's going to propel the cavs and the warriors to another rematch this year. Though i had really high hopes that we'll see something different, with the way things are playing out, its likely the warriors will retain the title.
3577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't Warren Buffett invest in Bitcoin? on: May 12, 2018, 02:53:59 PM
To the surprise of nobody, Warren Buffett isn’t interested in Bitcoin at all.
Warren’s strategy is to have an adequate but consistent return over a long period of time.
The key is that he knows he will be rich someday, but he is not in a hurry.
In cryptocurrency world, it is not possible to make a position and forget it for x number of years. Hence, it does not fit Warren’s style.
So what is your opinion?

Warren is old my friend and he has resistance thoughts all around him, he refuses to see the truth and who knows he may be doing this to drop the prices and buy it now and sell it at a later stage. Look he's seeing bitcoins with the glasses of bubble crash and that's why he's unable to see the potential, I wish he could heal so he could also invest and get more rich lol.

Well who knows if he really didn't invest in bitcoin. He could very well be speeing out negative statements and getting btcs at the same time. Much like jamie dimon lol. You can't really take what these old guys say seriously right?
3578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: May 12, 2018, 02:13:46 PM
I hope they do on the soonest possible time. That would be the day bitcoin becomes mainstream. Bank employees would be trained to handle cryptocurrency transactions to non-techie people in a manner they would understand.
Easy to say.. Bank will not accepted bitcoin because it was a very high risk investment. Bank are hold peoples money. What will happen if bitcoin drop to the ground. Very sure bank will bankrup.

Right. You can hope they do but they won't. Cryptocurrencies are a threat to bankers and the banking industry. Notice how some banks disallow even debit card transactions when it's for crypto? They'll make sure they keep holding your money.
3579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptos be so volatile forever? on: May 12, 2018, 02:09:24 PM
I think the value of cryptocurrency will not be as stable. The only way to stabilize the value of any kind of crypto is by offering a centralized solution, which can be easily regarded as defeating the purpose of cryptocurrency, but honestly, that's the direction I see the digital currency switching to.

Give it a couple of years more. Eventually btc will be a lot stable than it is now. Probably not until all btc has been mined which will take a number of years more. For now, take advantage of its volatility. We can't do anything about it amyways so why not just ride it to your advantage
3580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High school dropout who invested in bitcoin is now a millionaire at 18 on: May 12, 2018, 01:50:00 PM
I salute to this young man who became millionaire at a young age, though a dropped out in high school but was able to excel in other way. That's the good thing in btc, no educational attainment required but you can earned more compare to those who are working in industry.
Well, the only thing I could say about this kid is that, he take the risk as it will depends either it will loss all he invest or not. Some point, we try to take a risk but most risk situation that we encounter in life couldn't be lucky enough unlike that kid who could easily become a millionaire unlike those people have already old here in bitcoin community. Thus, only time can tell for each and everyone of us here in bitcoin community but in some point only our fortune if we could lucky enough or not.

The audacity of youth. One thing about dropping out is that you open yourself up to other options other than what you can get from studying. The problem with this is that very few get lucky to make something out of it. Personally i'd prefer to still study to plan for a future. There's way less percentage of people succeeding compared to those dropouts that end up with nothing
