3561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goverment can literally destroy bitcoin whenever they want on: May 10, 2020, 07:32:15 AM
A well decentralized and secure Bitcoin will be very hard to destroy by normal humans.
By the way,  destroying the assets and transactions of innocent people for being on a good and safer system is immoral and definitely not legal in any just society. I wonder what "government" would do that.
3562  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinCode.sh - Analyze your Coin Code on: May 08, 2020, 04:44:11 PM
Looks interesting.
Do you do this alone or you work as a team?
Projects like this is actually needed, but I wonder how you plan to make it sustainable. What metrics do you use for the analyzing? And how about transparency?
I really wish good ideas like this are decentralized. They are better handled in decentralized and transparent manner in my opinion.
3563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any way to patent my startup idea? on: May 08, 2020, 02:37:03 PM
Is it a crypto project?
Patenting decentralized open-source crypto projects doesn't sound like a good idea to me. But I understand your point concerning your ideas getting stolen.   I honestly wouldn't bother about people copying my ideas as long as it is not for self interest or for centralized projects.

I once thought about having something similar to patenting on cryptosphere that would allow people post their ideas in immutable form(with time & date they were posted) on decentralized platforms as proof they own them. And people could donate to the owners of the ideas and copy whatever they want.
3564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fear & Greed Index on: May 08, 2020, 02:05:22 PM
Is it easy to think right in fear?
Better not to be driven by  fear or greed in my opinion... "Invest what you can afford to lose".
I guess the right words here should be "be cautious when others are greedy, buy the dips when others are fearful".
Greed and fear could cause investors to make bad decisions: buy what they can't afford to, or  sell all/most of their investments in panic.
Invest what you can afford to lose so you don't get too attached to risky investment. This will also help you to be more focused and in control. You could also go into trading with the required skill/knowledge if you wish to invest more.
3565  Economy / Economics / Re: Money History - Introduction to Ancient Exchanges on: May 08, 2020, 11:09:42 AM
Barter system during ancient people is very historical information and to add another information, they call it "barter change" when people are exchanging items for another good that they need. Though the thread might be well known to everyone in this forum however the topic only aims and point out the revolution in exchanges how it was before, how it is today and how it might be in the future it only tells us that cryptocurrency can be the future of exchanges replacing fiat and digital currencies.

Anyway, the revolutions in exchanges are possible and I'm looking forward to that cryptocurrency will be the future of it because of the features and advantages that we can benefit from it. But we really dont know when will that happen.
It's important to note that barter isn't going away... there is nothing really bad or "primitive or ancient" about it. It depends on what you find convenient in "certain situations".
We could actually barter goods and services in a modern way. I could tell someone: "work in my company for two years, I will provide your basic needs with little weekly money(allowances)"... This is kind of bartering in my opinion.
You could combine bartering with other
means of exchanging goods and services in a society. Whatever works well for that society can be used.

3566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 08, 2020, 09:45:23 AM
Some of the disadvantages of crypto-based bettings (based on my observations) are: inadequate or lack of crypto-based physical/offline casinos,  possible lack of good/safe age restriction (and addiction prevention) tools, the use of unsafe identity verification methods, etc
3567  Economy / Gambling / Re: JacksClub.io | Bitcoin Casino | Amazing VIP ☆ Rewards on: May 08, 2020, 08:49:53 AM
Wish you had the copper badge though, to improve your trust a bit as a newbie.
I like the part where you plan to make everyone a winner. I guess that doesn't necessarily mean making everyone, most or many more players to be consistently profitable. I think it is a challenge worth solving in betting industry.
3568  Economy / Gambling / Re: Power of this forum... on: May 08, 2020, 08:32:05 AM
Nice one!
Hope you have the permission to share it here though.
Seems business owners value their forum reputation alot. Things like this actually gladdens the heart... Everyone treats each other right and with respect  to avoid well deserved negative reputation that can get the community to be more cautious.
3569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Never trust an ICO ranking site! on: May 08, 2020, 07:57:29 AM
You are just saying the truth. ICO ranking has become a business to get free tokens from the project team. The more you pay, the higher your ranking. It has now become a bazaar and I pitty those who rely on ICO ranking sites to make decision.

I hardly trust their rankings due to lack of transparency.  I believe ICO project ranking will be more suitable on well decentralized platform.
Lots of people will do what is wrong or throw morality away once enough money is dangled in front of them. This is what well decentralized crowdfunding platform can solve.
3570  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if? on: May 08, 2020, 07:35:00 AM
Ofcourse it could, if overall demand is less than supply or supply is more than demand.
This is why decentralized permissionless exchanges are better... With them, you have custody of your coins and if something unpleasant happens to a DEX, you move your keys to another platform.
It's actually disappointing how huge supply of decentralized cryptocoins are on centralized exchanges.
3571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TON Community Launches Free Version of Telegram Open Blockchain on: May 07, 2020, 05:14:12 PM
Interesting. Are they in anyway connected to Telegram? Or are the community members not happy after contributing to the Telegram ICO and not getting anything in return? This will be interesting to watch. Hope it's fully decentralized Telegram.
3572  Economy / Economics / Re: Money History - Introduction to Ancient Exchanges on: May 07, 2020, 04:41:13 PM
Money needs to have values attached to it to be considered valuable. This is why printing money out of thin air without corresponding value is such an abomination. If you keep printing money out of thin air for someone, make sure the person is/will contribute something that is "proportional" to the money he/she receives otherwise the money has little to no value and that could create potential problems for everyone else that uses the money.

People who work hard on farms(for example), produce quality foods but earn little from the foods are the types that really deserve some money printed out of thin air... same as people who create good applications that lots of people use but make little from the applications.
Printing money out of thin air for someone (or potentially bad business) that will likely not pay back or be profitable is what makes the culture of printing fiat money out of nothing bad.
You could however print money for sustainable welfare schemes if the beneficiaries will be willing to contribute in whatever way to the society. The difference between them and the employed is the ease of getting a job and getting paid. There  definitely will be some kinds of jobs that need to be done somewhere but society probably don't find "profitable" short-term

3573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Takes Place Amidst Pandemic on: May 07, 2020, 10:45:36 AM
The promoters are too selfish in my opinion, definitely forcing the boxing match to continue because of the profit gained from sports betting.
Although prevention is carried out such as sprayed disinfectant, there is still a risk of corona virus spreading, and also not necessarily the
audience really apply social distancing.

I doubt if that's the case, maybe promoter of this fight don't get any profit from this and i think all they want is somehow make boxing back on it's feet again. Boxers surely benefited from this as they were paid no matter how the outcome was.

My advice is to follow the government's recommendation to postpone all sports matches, until the corona virus completely stops spreading.

All activities were known to their government AFAIK, this was not hidden from them.

ccto

Do they wore the mask fighting?  Grin Grin

Interesting picture.
I wonder how they will manage to breath properly from their masks considering that the body will require more oxygen to function properly when games like that become intense. Guess they will need more than normal mask.... maybe some small oxygen devices to supply them with sufficient oxygen. I doubt playing intense games with mask is a good idea.
3574  Economy / Gambling / Re: My urge to go to land base casino in this lock down and how I fight it. on: May 07, 2020, 09:44:17 AM
Better to have that urge for things that benefit you positively. If you go to casinos always to waste your time and money then it's definitely not worth it. Maybe something else other than the profitability/productivity was drawing you back to the casino. If you spend lots of time on something without gaining something positive from it, you need to find something else to do.
3575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best platform to practice poker on: May 07, 2020, 08:29:19 AM
There are probably offline ones people can download and play on their laptops or mobile phones. I think those are usually between you and computer, or you could use game pads with your peer.
This should be one of the easiest to practice. It would be better if you practice with a good tutorial on youtube/internet.
3576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google to Shadowban Crypto - Bitcoin will get Hampered? on: May 07, 2020, 08:10:56 AM
Well, this is more reason we shouldn't be relying too much on centralized platforms. It's actually abit strange how popular crypto personalities rely so much on them and hardly promote the decentralized alternatives. Show me a popular crypto person who consistently promotes cryptocurrency/decentralization and uses decentralized tech more than the centralized ones, and I will show a true believer. He/she practice what he/she preaches and could easily be a really good "leader" in this space.

 Such censorship hardly surprise me.

3577  Economy / Economics / Re: Socialism vs Capitalism Meme Review on: May 07, 2020, 07:28:38 AM
Humanity should simply develop and make its life more convenient.

I pick this aspect of your post. Capitalism indeed encourages individual growth which helps the society. It allows an individual the opportunity to even help to support the country and people at large since it allows for business to striving far from what it can be with socialism.

I think there are good things to pick from these economic theories. The problem is being fanatical about them even when they appear not to work in certain situations.
By the way, I prefer any economic model that is based on doing what is really good and right. What ever you choose to create or do, if it's really good, (maybe with very little disadvantage) do it... if it's bad(with lots of disadvantages) , don't do it otherwise you get punished by the law especially if you are aware of the many consequences of your creations.
3578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you trade if you won't leave your coins on exchange on: May 06, 2020, 04:11:29 PM
Quote
my point is there is no way to be a trader without your coins sleeping in exchange wallets
You can actually be a trader without having your coin on exchange. This probably will be abit difficult for day traders.

I actually used to leave coin on exchanges after trading because I traded with funds I could afford lose. So you should trade on "secure" exchange with what you can afford to lose if you prefer leaving coins on exchanges.
There are some interesting ways your kind of problem(or things like fast automated day trading) could be well handled in very decentralized manner, even on a slow Blockchain while you still fully control your keys/coins. Don't know if they have been tried yet.
3579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coin for Every Currency on: May 06, 2020, 02:39:30 PM
If that happens and it is not decentralised then we go back to what currency used to be before cryptocurrency came. Hitherto, the block chain idea also comes with other concepts on it like data sharing and App management. It is not all about currency exchange

Exactly. The decentralization part is what makes real crypto unique and good.
I think I am a abit ok with countries having their own coins, as long as the coins share thesame/similar principles with Bitcoin/Blockchain. They'll need to be very decentralized, transparent, immutable, privacy-friendly/anonymous, deflationary, safe/secure, permissionless/trustless,etc  for the safety of global users. Small autonomous nations (that adhere to the principles) can fill the gap if the current nations don't.
3580  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to stop taking sleeping or anti anxiety pills? on: May 06, 2020, 10:49:48 AM
I had almost thesame problem few years ago. I started taking a pill (pain killer) I was given to by a relation to probably help me feel relaxed, exercise more, for pains etc. I took one the first day and felt really "good". I asked for more the next day and got one or few. I asked where he get them from and was surprised such a "good drug" was widely available in drug shops/pharmacies. Bought alot and got hooked to it. Tried to unhook but it was difficult for me. Then I started taking few and few every day till I stopped taking it, and that was what really worked for me.
The experience made me wonder why highly addictive drugs would be allowed in drug stores.

I was tempted to go back to the pill last year or so, probably due saddeness/worries. The sadness was eventually solved by Something way Better. I no longer feel sad(esp prolonged saddest) otherwise I probably would have gone back to the drug. (My friend, to be honest, it was total repentance, reading/listening to GOD's Word always that actually fully saved me)
