3581  Economy / Reputation / Re: Shit eaters Lauda and Pharmacist- Ban need to executed on these people on: September 15, 2020, 12:25:06 AM
This has been a trip down memory lane with @Excimer necro bumping threads for a couple of days (including this thread) - Given Bitcoin SV has come back to life & has the same agenda, don't you suppose it's conceivable that they are one and the same being?
3582  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Search for merits on: September 15, 2020, 12:18:23 AM
...

I won't rehash other people's posts, but I will say there are threads out there why people can suggest posts should be merited.  There's even a thread started in the last couple of days that *might* give you merits if you are able to perform a simple task.

Your

Code:

appears to simply be to post a couple of times a week then suddenly rank up with a burst of posts and some merits under your belt.  I'd say you must have just realised you could rank up if only for those pesky merits.
3583  Other / Meta / Re: Self Moderated thread All Posts Deleted on: September 15, 2020, 12:12:27 AM

One of the many pitfalls of the forum - both Lauda(M) and marlboroza have done the same thing (although not to the Nth degree as shown here) in their self moderated threads.

Bitcoin SV has become active again (must have been a temp ban) and is settling some perceived old scores.

Although I never received an message here to say my post from February this year had been deleted, I did receive an email direct to the email recovery I use for this UID.  (it'll be interesting if it suddenly gets spammed)
3584  Other / Meta / Re: The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam on: September 15, 2020, 12:06:15 AM
I'd bet there's some spikes/ steady rise during the first few months Grin

It doesn't sound like it - according to LoyceV's post just after mine there hasn't been a noticeable spike upwards this year.  I've always said the merit system is a good thing, but the concentration of merit sources is not a good thing (which is a discussion for another thread)
3585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 14, 2020, 11:56:19 PM
The Brisbane Broncos Rugby League team have now lost ten fixtures in a row, so it's almost guaranteed betting against them will pay off, so it might be a small return, but it's almost a sure thing.

Although I am not into rugby betting, I cannot imagine how low the odds would be in this case if you prefer to just bet on win or lose. I bet it is not worth risking. Sometimes, a team with nothing to lose, with every game they play just a mere game, would surprisingly upset an opposing team which is much stronger.

If the odds would be ≤1.10, that wouldn't be worth betting at all. Better be risking and bet on handicap with higher odds than stay safe with very low odds but still not 100% sure of winning.

I'll keep that in mind, there's only two or three more games in the regular season then the finals.  (which they won't be a part of because of their poor performance.

The Parramatta Vs Brisbane match this week is paying $ 1.13 / $ 6.00 according to the TAB site: https://www.tab.com.au/sports/betting/Rugby%20League/competitions/NRL

3587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 13, 2020, 10:48:21 PM
I can name at least three exchanges that have collapsed through theft of funds stored in hot wallets.  Even exchanges need cold wallets to store the bulk of user's funds that aren't shifted in and out each day.

Not sure how many exchanges payout interest, but it'd be worth considering earning interest on non POS coins if you plan to HODL them for a while.

I'll be home around this time tomorrow (it's my weekend away) so I am unavailable to check pgp, can you quote what the decoded message says?

3589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Send bitcoin to a address using paypal on: September 13, 2020, 03:35:21 AM
Is there any place I can redirect clients on my website to a website that allows you to send them paypal money and automatically sends bitcoin to the address you specify?

I want to refer my non-technical clients to this place to provide them with easier usage.

Check out getpaidinbitcoin.com.au which enables users to deposit fiat ($ AUD) and get near instant BitCoin deposited into the wallet address of your choosing.
3590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now the 6th largest world currency on: September 13, 2020, 03:33:55 AM
It'd be interesting if the top 100, top 1,000 crypto are tallied up and compared to the leading world fiat to compare apples and oranges.  It'd make more sense to compare the volume of trades that occur in crypto Vs fiat as opposed to a perceived market cap.
3591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overview of lightning network nodes owned by forum users on: September 13, 2020, 03:28:16 AM
If anyone wants to open a connection with me, here is my LN address over TOR. I have more than 0.3 BTC outgoing capacity, with up to 0.15 in a single channel.

Nickname: odolvlobo-02608b
02608bd929f9ffd9997d6ad8e03df49b82f2b02515c885780c3f4d87cc6b0a3081@pzsmiuf6dv5jjugmx5dvdpljf6lpwk7necezis7eafrjmjxia7s6b6id.onion:9735

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with clear links on my PC and my mobile phone otherwise I'd connect to more.  (I also suspect some of the nodes I've linked to in the past have gone dark which is why I can no longer connect to them).
3592  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] FreeBitco.in Signature Campaign | Sr./Hero/Legendary | on: September 13, 2020, 03:25:44 AM
Have a look at the link in the signature.
After the indication of the 86 in the Reflink, it must be account #86...
Very early!
But no, I haven't seen him yet...

Ask @TheQuin

You've just reminded me that I never got my own ref link - I'll have to do that in the next couple of days.
3593  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] FreeBitco.in Signature Campaign | Sr./Hero/Legendary | on: September 13, 2020, 01:19:50 AM
Sorry if this sounds like an incredibly dense question, but is user free-bit.co.in u=341170 related to this Signature Campaign?  They have an open Currency Exchange wanting to trade $ 400 BTC to PP and it just seemed *slightly* odd.  There's nothing in the OP about this user, so I'm just a little unsure.

Not that I'm aware off. I'm not sure, but I don't believe, that freebitco.in has any private deals regarding Signatures.

If you look at that users' profile they have the gif for stake.com and the signature for the campaign.

3595  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2020 Q3) on: September 12, 2020, 10:00:01 PM
Thanks to everyone for your recent reports and also a warm welcome to Bthd who has recently posted.  Nice one!

Can I just make a small suggestion to all investigators that when you are posting multiple reports you ensure you label each as a seperate report e.g.

Report #1
Report #2

etc.

Just on a sightly different tangent can anyone recall any of the "mobile alts" of more prominent users?  I have a small list:

Code:
~DarkStar_alt
~DiamondCardzAlt
~dragonvsandroid
~fullypak-alt
~kenzawak_alt
~kenzawak_alt2
~LoyceMobile
~pam_alt_
~Philipma1957cellphone
~theymos_away
~Timelord2o67                <-- (Shady looking character if ever I saw one)
~V8s Road Warrior

and am have been considering distrusting these UID's from my own "mobile alt" of Timelord2o67 instead of my main alt Timelord2067

Best of Luck @Ratimov for the Best Change Campaign.
(this is post 6,222 of mine - hopefully no more deleted posts or threads for a while now).
3597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My experience is gambling on: September 11, 2020, 09:27:57 AM
...

While it's true that gamblers want to win money on the other side of the coin those who offer wagers, (be it Casinos or other people) want to take *your* money from you.  A wager on a football team or car race or tennis match can be friendly between two people, or on a gambling site, but games of chance are purely there to rake in the cash via the house edge.  It may take time and there might be some initial out bound losses, but the punters keep coming in and the house edge collects eventually.
3598  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Mixing Services on: September 11, 2020, 03:37:02 AM
Can not understand. Is that just a scheme and   server is  capable of mixing coins from any numbers of parties or it actually mixes UTXOs belonging exclusively to two parties?  To test, can I mix the coins from my own but three different wallets?
Terminology is a mutex in the lexicography of Bitcoin  where we  equate many views of the same operations with only one truth rather than an expanding model including differential references. UTXO's, true but in the mind of the user that is a wallet address, in many cases several UTXO's a set of even if some are reused.

Let m e establish a testing protocol if you have some Bitcoin to mix anyway and choose to participate. This is suggested because I do not have the answer, there are two intermediate buckets in the diagram, however, an undefined limit of input sources to those buckets, even where the relationship to the bucket is undetectable we suppose, and that the return from a mixing deposit transaction is not immediate but with some delay, so to establish a mixing session and then make multiple deposits immediately subsequent to each other and all greater than 0.005 BTC in value, then to observe or better to analyse the resultant returns. Often, I am mixing en-route concisely with the making of a payment in which case my wallet is certainly disconnected, but, I am still able to monitor the receiving address(es). If you consider?

Spelling aside, you do realise you just wrote a single sentence that went on for four whole lines and contains seven commas?  It's almost as though you've just thrown random words together in the hopes they mean something.  And, it doesn't answer the question posed to you.
3599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll about lottery game on: September 11, 2020, 03:32:23 AM
Out of all the online gambling I'd have to say lotteries are the most prone to the results favouring those the organiser of the lotto.  Unlike other online games which can be "proven" to be fair, how do you "prove" the results?  A screen grab of random.org selecting a random number?  There's no way to interdependently verify the results, so I steer well clear of such wagers.
3600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My experience is gambling on: September 11, 2020, 03:26:03 AM
I fit definitely into the social category given I'll only go to a live Casino for a night out / dinner & entertainment etc.  True there are those who make a living out of gambling, but they aren't the norm.  You really need to sit down and firstly work out what the various "types" of gamblers are before you start labeling them as dependent gamblers or even in my case lite gamblers much-less anything in between.
