What if I don't like Madrid? Can I have Inter followers instead?
3582  Economy / Services / Re: Debt collector on: January 17, 2013, 06:55:00 PM
Yes, but are you swole enough so they will actually want to sit down with you? Remember you will be dealing with hardened criminals.
3583  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is it so hard to make a (big) diamond? on: January 17, 2013, 04:39:28 PM
The only practical way to manufacture a diamond larger than the head of a pin is to assemble it molecule by molecule.

What about hot glue and velcro?

anyhow: i'll leave this thread. sometimes you should just realize that if anybody has another opinion than you that they could be right.

Yeah, it's no use really. It's been explained to him for four days straight now by some dozen people why he's wrong and it still doesn't register.
3587  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: google on: January 17, 2013, 03:21:40 PM
You can find anything here

Ok, i went there and it was just a page with an empty box. Is it made by BFL?
3588  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Development Status [Batch #1] on: January 17, 2013, 01:44:29 PM
Huh, apparently it is.

These site names get progressively worse.
3589  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Development Status [Batch #1] on: January 17, 2013, 01:32:42 PM
I'm not gonna click whatever that is. Post a real URL.  Angry

All hail the mighty ignore list, silencer of dissention, censor of questions, ensurer of the one true path.

You forgot "starver of trolls"

I don't think it functions very well in that regard.

Yae, though I walk through the forums of BTC,
I fear no fud, for thou art with me,
thy silence and blanking, they comfort me.

Did the countdown clock just lose a day or was that me?
3594  Economy / Services / Re: Debt collector on: January 17, 2013, 12:56:28 PM

3595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be at CES2013 (Official Thread) on: January 17, 2013, 12:52:12 PM
Has this been posted yet?  It'd be nice to see the other side of this coin.

I think it was a normal quarter. Nothing unusual about it on either side.
3596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shouldn't we start using safer keys from now instead of waiting for problems? on: January 17, 2013, 12:30:31 PM

It's really unlikely that bitcoin will replace all world currencies in 20-30 years.

Especially if you consider that any single copy of the blockchain would grow by 6 TeraByte PER DAY.

i thought the maximum block size was 1mb.

144 blocks per day = maximum 144mb per day.

Yes. Yes it is. See the problem?

I guess quite obviously (and for that matter contrary to what the general wisdom figures), Bitcoin is neither designed to be nor intended to be a consumer item.

Please don't shatter their dreams of a bitbased utopia where everyone can dance in bitbliss on the graves of bankers.  Cry
3597  Economy / Lending / Re: risk takers anyone? 60 btc on: January 17, 2013, 12:19:07 PM
anyone?

OP's business strategy:

Send coins to satoshidice lessthan 32000
//smart strategy: invest in BTCINVEST and get returns on your coins

IF WIN
  IF RAND(0,1) == 0
    GOTO 1
  ELSE
    GOTO 2

IF LOSE GOTO 2

1: Pay the coins back, enjoy 60 free bitcoins, immediately ask for 3,000 bitcoin loan saying "got ball? 3,000 btc now"

2: Disappear, while sending about 27 taunting PMs, 34 SMSes, 15 skype messages, 8 skype calls and 2 letters on that the creditor got scammed.

Am I right?  Huh Huh

Almost, you forgot him paying back part of the loan with a big plastic grocery shopping  bag containing Italian Lira coins, Polish zloty, Israelean shkalim and old GDR Mark.

3599  Economy / Services / Re: Debt collector on: January 17, 2013, 10:59:44 AM
I wasn't talking about violence in any way  Huh

I was asking for purposes of determining how willing a given person would be to sit down and have a talk instead of laughing into your face. Physical prowess goes a long way in affecting that particular willingness.
3600  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Guess What? Germany (and other nations) store their gold in the US on: January 17, 2013, 10:53:39 AM
I wonder if that means some other nation will now be on the "short end" and lack sufficient gold to back its currency?
You say there is a nation that still backs its currency by gold? Which one is that?

I think Lebanon has still like 50% of the currency backed by gold amazingly enough.
