Napoli was able to draw in the end and it finished 2-2. Genoa wasnt able to hold on even with a huge lead and its a huge shame that they werent able to hold the lead. Napoli saved themselfs and in the end got a huge point. Last season this would be an easy win but this season nothing comes easy to Napoli.
What a thrilling match it was, Genoa early lead undoubtedly caught everyone off guard and Napoli nability to capitalize on its opportunities kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Genoa Martinez had outstanding goalkeeping abilities stopping Napoli at every opportunity. I Think Raspadori and Politano stepped up when it counted most, securing the crucial draw as a result of Napoli perseverance. The fact that Napoli refuses to give up easy speaks much about their fighting spirit. In my opinion a 2-2 draw was a fair outcome for this exciting match, despite the suspenseful final few minutes of extra time. Unexpectedly, Genoa was able to suppress Napoli and Genoa's 2 goal lead suggested that Napoli would not be able to catch up. But the mentality of last season's Scudetto champions cannot be underestimated and Napoli managed to equalize in a dramatic minute.
