If you want to shut the fuck up, I will happily buy out your stock at cost. Get a grip man.
3582  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 25, 2013, 05:00:56 PM
Good lord people. Chill out on Arklan already. Am I slightly miffed I didn't get out in the first batch, yeah sure, but it's not like another few extra days is going to kill us. He has a messed up ankle FFS and has a big task ahead of him shipping to everyone.

Perspective, people. He has a bunch in his hands that he is shipping out, more are on the way, and Ark has been completely above-board throughout this entire process.
3583  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 04:42:23 PM
lol Ok so let me get this straight.  You stating you've done nothing wrong and have no personal responsibility in the outcome of this matter.  And that you are the PBS of bitcointalk.
Welp, guess there's nothing to talk about here, lets close this thread down people!

I paid money to advertise here just like Butterfly Labs. I will take the comparison to PBS as a compliment.

The only thing I have done wrong is get way too upset over not receiving product for over 11 months, and calling the COO of Butterfly Labs out on his poor behavior on these forums in an overly harsh manner. In retrospect, that was uncool, i could have handled myself more calmly, and I apologize, again.

You are right. There is nothing further to talk to you about here. Back to the BFL sycophant shoutbox with you.
3584  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 04:26:58 PM
Absolutely false. I have never claimed BFL was a scam.
You implied it.  . and been supportive of people saying it.  Do I really need to link the "Newbie" thread?  And the history of your comments is misleading, since you've already stating you were deleting posts while you were begging to get your orders back.  And threatening a lawsuit at the same time (wtf. . .. how did you think that would end). . . .And created this thread. .. all the while in shoutbox begging to get your units.

I have explicitly stated I do not believe Butterfly Labs is a scam.

In retrospect, it was a mistake to delete my comments. Think I only deleted 2 or 3 of the most bitter ones.

Creating this thread was a public service announcement.
3585  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 03:27:18 PM
I find it appalling and hypocritical, that Xian, after coming into shoutbox begging to keep his order and telling BFL he's deleting  all posts he, himself, referred to as inflammatory against bfl (not josh), wants to run around stirring the pot. All the while, only confirming that BFL's decision was a good one.

To be blunt, Josh started it. I just called him out in his behavior. To see the COO of a company I gave almost $5k USD in preorders to, acting the way he did, was something I have never experienced before. It is not normal. I've already admitted I overreacted in retrospect. I can't change the past.

Quote
Then props himself up as the "big" BFL martyr righteously standing up for the loyal customer, while spewing conspiracy theories and shouting "SCAM" from the four corners of the forums.  the whole thing is ridiculous and absurd (imo).

Absolutely false. I have never claimed BFL was a scam.
3586  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 03:12:08 PM
So you support the position that customers who complain should be refunded without seeking or opting in to a refund?

The reality distortion field around you is so intense that I think I can see the back of my own head.

--------------

Lets say you really do support this position. Then when should a customer legitimately complain, nottm28? Are you the type of person that only sees things in black and white?

===========
Days waiting: 190+

Loop Resolution:

IF complain,

Then, issue refund.

Else, remain silent.

END Loop.

It's not about complaining, it's about being abusive and damaging to their business.  They tolerate lots of complaining.  In forums, shout box, etc.  but if I had a customer that was damaging my business, yes I'd shit kick them to the curb and never look back.  So Yes, I support them in their decision and freedom to choose what kinds of people they want to do business with. . ..It's shocking to me that in a deregulated free market supportive community such as bitcoin, so many people would raise a stink eye.  Is it fair? no, but tough tits, free market isn't fair, it all choice.  I don't understand how people performing general ass-hattery (imo) seem so surprised when people respond in kind or think they are entitled to immunity.

Again imo, suggesting to people to not purchase product or that a business is disreputable is a direct assault on their vitality.  I personally think they were being kind by politely terminating the relationship.

Josh has flat out stated these forums are not important to their business and has trolled and been abusive to their customers here.

Please reconcile that for me. Or is that yet another one of his lies ?

I am curious who this person thinks will invest in him when he's yelling and swearing at people. You know, the people he wants to give him money.

You can ask Josh Zerlan of Butterfly Labs the same question. Who would invest with him when he's been antagonizing forum members here for the last year.

Their con is running out of money

It certainly does have an air of desperation. I'm guessing they are losing money on every device they ship out due to cost overruns.
3589  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 25, 2013, 11:22:15 AM
"There has been a misunderstanding, my venting has been mistaken as not wanting the products I ordered, please keep my orders in place." or was that insulting enough/final straw kind of deal

This is pretty much exactly what happened; I responded back saying I was not interested in, nor did I ask for a refund.

3590  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: May 25, 2013, 05:23:38 AM
Would you be willing to show your proof that shows this is a scam?

How many legitimate companies that you know of, allow their COO to make one broken promise after another, while earning the scorn of an entire community due to his outrageous behavior and taunting ?

How many legitimate companies that you know of make bets of 1,000 BTC to charity and then don't honor it in a timely manner ?

How many legitimate tech companies that you know of are run by a former convicted felon, who's past behavior with mail fraud raises questions about certain aspects of Butterfly Labs' business and customer service practices ?

How many legitimate "leading edge" tech companies that you know of farm out the design of their chips to third parties, rather than creating the design themselves in-house ?

How many legitimate "leading edge" tech companies blow their power estimates by almost a factor of 5. At least.

How many legitimate tech companies that you know of have ever displayed such outright contempt and disrespect for their customers ?

To be clear, it's not accurate to call them a scam, but they sure have acted like a bunch of bumbling amateurs over the last year.
3591  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BitAxe.ca] ASIC Mining Equipment Manufacturer - JUST LAUNCHED!! on: May 25, 2013, 04:44:30 AM
Bullshit-detector is pegging pretty hard into the red.
Why do you say that?
I literally have a pile of PCB's and components sitting next to me. I have been waiting all day for the FedEx man to deliver the PCB's. Its been a good day.

While you might indeed have stacks of PCB's piled high to the ceiling, the fact remains you have zero Avalon chips so far, and are not able to sell working, hashing units at present.

Your verbiage at-a-glance would lead one to believe they can order units capable of hashing right now, and that is certainly not the case.

Appears this Ivan character loves to slurp some Josh dong:
Code:
[10:29 PM]   BFL_Josh : I don't know off the top of my head.
[10:29 PM]   Ivan Frimmel : have you got all the show cooties off ?  :) takes days to wash those off your clothes :)

Very unfortunate. I thought Ivan was smarter than that. Sycophantry is serious business to some.
3594  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are BFL Jalapeños worth it? on: May 24, 2013, 10:35:27 PM
I ordered one this month (not knowing that they were pre-order).  I didn't find that out until after I ordered and started reading all the posts about them.  ...

You have to give them credit for having mastered the art of issuing a refund. They break new ground in the field of proactive refunds.

I might recommend you exercise that option until such time as Butterfly Labs has demonstrated an ability to reliably produce these units.

One thing is absolutely certain, if you have placed an order within the last month, there is a volume of historical data that would lead one to believe they have no ability to deliver their pre-orders to you in a reasonable amount of time.

 Caveat emptor, most assuredly.

Do you think i would have any success putting up a thread (in the appropriate area of course) asking for fpga donations..  If folks are in the US, i can give a tax receipt.  It was just something i considered - it would be a REAL fundraising effort!

Not sure about asking for FPGA donations, but I was looking for a Bitcoin address in your .sig or some other way to donate to you. Might be useful to create a thread outlining your cause, posting some pictures, contact information, and requesting donations that way.

I was noticing a "Donate with Bitcoin" was distinctly lacking at http://www.arftx.com/info.go Wink

Look if people wish to make negative comments then please do refrain from commenting.
...
But if you read the product description correctly it clearly states that the product will be ready for shipment Mid July.

Shipment in Mid-July != Now available. Now available for pre-order is something completely different... Much like Butterfly Labs has been doing for the last 11 months.

Your subject line is dishonest; much like many other suspected scams attempted in this sub.
3599  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly Labs CEO 25 Million USD Mail Fraud — A Concise Summary of Evidence on: May 24, 2013, 05:04:40 PM
From what I can tell, their entire problem was based on the lack of ASIC chips.

Partially correct. It's saying nothing to their needing to redesign their boards to accomodate the increased power draw of said chips.

I guess you must really hate friedcat then.... Wink

It's not my place to judge an entirely different culture on their culinary tastes - as personally unpalatable as it may seem.

Monicker aside, Friedcat and ASICMiner has been a positive for Bitcoin so far as I can see.
