3581  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Attention] Hotbit shutdown all service for 7 days because of cyber attack on: April 30, 2021, 10:01:19 PM
Ugh.  Here's a great reason why crypto exchanges should have a solid reputation and security before anyone even thinks of handing over their KYC docs.
And how do you measure it, I mean what is your scale.

Does ledger not have a solid reputation and perhaps security before they get hacked?
How about those exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, and all those big exchanges got hacked even hackers shared KYC data. Didn't they have a solid reputation?

I think when you are handing out your KYC information to a close friend you are trusting them in good faith. But if they misuse it then you are screwed. At some point we all need to trust something or someone.

Thats why i share here.
For a few moments I thought you are someone from hotbit. Is this a big exchange like Binance and others? I hope it's not.
3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My crypto portfolio, please give me some feedback on: April 30, 2021, 09:53:51 PM
No one actually cares about what you have in your portfolio however since you asked, here is mine:

If you want bitcoin gain and want to be a bitcoin maximalist then forget about holding all other coins. Just convert them into bitcoin and HODL!

But if you are just another person who is looking to have his fiat bag filled with worthless fiat rich then buy more shitcoins and against USD when the price is high, sell them to cash out.
3583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would having a Debate like: Bitcoin vs Gold win more crypto investors on: April 29, 2021, 09:57:37 PM
Do you think such a debate would bring more investors into the crypto world?
Anything that will give positive vibration or even negative is advertising. Everyone knows gold but still there are people in many corners do not know about crypto industry. So anything helps of course.

Why do people keep on comparing bitcoin with gold?
Because they are none sense LOL
I guess gold is the most valuable asset in physical form. This could be the reason to compare the most valuable asset in the vertual world.
3584  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Has anyone used the Incognito wallet? on: April 29, 2021, 05:48:36 PM
It seems promising. It makes your coins private and you can swap for other coins with low fees it seems. I havent used it yet but seems promising.
I just had a Google search and discovered their Google Play Store version. The site too. Honestly speaking this is the first time I am hearing about them. I am sure unless it become a regular thing like Electrum and this kind of wallets, I am not going to try.

And fees are not something the wallet sets for you. It depends on the network congestion. A wallet can make you a suggestion only.
3585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you have any challenge with Binance p2p on: April 29, 2021, 05:43:01 PM
So what is your experience?
Never really used the platform. What's the difference? You do not need KYC?

Quote
Hello my first experience on binance p2p is to confirm payment without buy releasing assets to me.
So you sent the payment and they are yet to release the coins to you? It's not much clearer. I suppose that is the drill there. In a P2P the other party must confirm the payment before the held coin was relesed to you.
3586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Participants Only] [IPL 2021] Prediction pool and discussion on: April 29, 2021, 05:37:49 PM
Bet on DC against KKR. KKR bowlers are getting thrashed royally by Shaw and Dhawan. After Ritu and Faf, I feel that Shaw and Dhawan are the best opening pair in the current season of IPL.
What odd did you get. Congratulations on your winning. That young guy was trashing the balls in every corner of the stadium. Got the perfect skills to bat.

Did you mean SALAD?
I guess he meant Cocktail LOL

My luck did not favour today. From two match my collection is only 1, lost my lead of the round too.
3587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Participants Only] [IPL 2021] Prediction pool and discussion on: April 28, 2021, 07:21:11 PM
I was checking the score in superbru today knowing that I am going to bottom again but to my surprise I am actually leading in this round LOL. In the last round I was 2nd. It's the round which was a nightmare for me or I could challenge you all who are at the top 🤣

Honestly speaking I never has taken this pool seriously, it was just for fun and right now I feel that the entry fee was worthy of the emotion I am having now LOL

Sorry not much to talk about the matches because I did not see many matches from this event. Just gambling and trusting my instinct 🤣

3588  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 28, 2021, 07:04:30 PM
Can we trust Fox News?

Don’t tell me they got this rumor from WO?

It started with a tweet by Alister Milne:
RUMOUR: Facebook will annouce they hold #Bitcoin on their books when they release their quarterly results after trading closes tomorrow
— Alistair Milne (@alistairmilne) April 27, 2021

It was supposed to be a joke to see whether the market will move. It did not  Cheesy Anyway, in 2.5h we will know for sure on their online presentation:

3589  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Different balance in electrum and blockchain??? on: April 28, 2021, 07:00:54 PM
Yes, that's because electrum doesn't display P2PK transactions and Hal's rewarded bitcoins were paid to his public key. For an unknown reason, electrum looks only for the transactions that are related through through the derived script hash from the address. Pay-to-public-key transactions aren't related to that script hash and that's why it doesn't return you the proper amount.

That was firstly answered by @ranochigo. You can find out more here: Electrum doesn't show rewarded coins.
I was totally ignorant about this phenomenon LOL

So if I have the private key then would I be able to see the actual balance and would be able to spend using Electrum? I guess I would?
3590  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Different balance in electrum and blockchain??? on: April 28, 2021, 06:51:27 PM
The address has 50+ btc which means you are getting some error information from your Electrum. Maybe you did not set it up well.

Update:
Strange and I see what you mean. I just added this address and figured out that the Coinbase transaction has not added to it which had50BTC reward.

We will see what others have to tell here.
3591  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Sending locked coins on: April 26, 2021, 09:30:09 PM
If the two parties (the seller and the buyer) know about multisig wallet, they can make use of it. It can be 2-of-2 multisig in which the buyer and seller will open such wallet.
2 by 2 is risky for both cosigners especially for a large amount of coins. If anything happens to one cosigner then the funds are locked forever. A 2 by 3 is a better option.

In my example, Albert's 10 BTC are already in Bob wallet, but locked for X hours, unspendable by Bob.

If they are not in Albert's wallet, how can Albert spend them again?

I imagine the lock having 2 options: 1 - If nothing happen, the 10 BTC return to Al wallet. 2 - If Al lock is cancelled, Bob can move the coins.

If you are selling your house, you can sit around a table for 10 minutes before giving the guy your keys.
I understood your example clearly. All you need a third-party escrow who has very good knowledge about the industry that you are dealing and can make the right judgement about the deal before releasing or returning the coins back to the buyer.
3592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Participants Only] [IPL 2021] Prediction pool and discussion on: April 26, 2021, 09:16:08 PM
At first, I've selected KXI too but after the toss, I changed it quickly and gave KKR, Now I've noticed it remains unchanged due to my network problem, my bad luck.  Sad
I have no regret LOL
Missed last three matches to pick a result and earned no point but no chance any more. I am happy that I found the right team for today's match. The way Punjab were batting it was like they had the team meeting of not scoring much run and test their bowling unit. The bowling unit failed 🤣
3593  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have 1 BTC, want PayPal @ preev on: April 26, 2021, 08:45:26 PM
send me a private message
You may sign a message with the address holding one BTC to attract serious buyers.

You are asking for paypal. I hope you know the risk. Since it's a large amount you should not deal with just anyone but users with high trust rating. Paypal payments are reversible but your bitcoin transaction once it will have minimum 1 confirmation, it's not reversible any more. So careful please.
3594  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Sending locked coins on: April 26, 2021, 08:38:10 PM
Possibility 1: We sign the sale and I send a confirmation of the release.

Possibility 2: The sale does not take place and I automatically get my 10 BTC back after X hours.
Use a third party escrow who also know the things about property or whatever industry you are trading. You will send them the coins, they will hold the coins for your and the other guy. The escrow guy will monitor the activities from both of you. Once you two agree and satisfy with the deal then he will release the coins to the other guy or he will give you your coins back.

There are no such lock system because who know you could misuse it. After having everything okay you still can sent those coin back to you instead of paying the seller.
3595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are females welcomed in gambling thread? on: April 26, 2021, 08:32:15 PM
I have been here for quite a while studying the gambling thread to understand if there are restrictions to female posters on gambling although I haven't found limitations on the forum so I guess this is inverably giving me the open slot to do my predictions and engage in spots betting as well as casino game discussions without been any form of negative trust.
The forum only asked you an email address (it does not even verify the address), a username, a password to give to create an account. It never asked you any question related to your gender or age. I have not seen any gambling thread also to ask to give you any sex related question except if you are 18+ years.

So there are nothing to make it a topic. No one actually care in this anonymous place that you have a vagina or dick or you do not have any LOL.
3596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 26, 2021, 08:23:42 PM
I think he was being sarcastic. Most people did pretty badly but there was a lot of upsets. I thought this was going to be a zero-point round for me but luckily I got points from the draws on the last two games. Almost changed my Leeds score to a Man U away win as I thought the draw was risky but glad I stuck to my guns. Hopefully Bielsa will get a manager of the month award now to win me my bet. Leeds drew two and won two this month and grabbing points from Man City, Man U and Liverpool is no easy task. I think Man U and Newcastle were the only other teams unbeaten this month. Steve Bruce could be in the running for it though especially as they were fighting relegation. They also grabbed point from Liverpool. Only won month left now with 5 games to play.
The Leicester vs Palace may end up with a draw too meaning another upset is waiting for us. No one gone for a draw in this match LOL So far we have 7.5 points fron Stephencurry333 in this round which should consider as a low scoring round in this season.

Anyway, with 5 rounds to play I think in the pool we are getting close too except tomahawk9. He is 16.5 points ahead than bigdaddy who is at 2nd. Anyone who are in 6th to 10th position may have a very good chance to kicked out and some new could take their place. You have a very bright opportunity if we see some draw matches in the coming rounds. I usually suck picking draw matches and usually always take a side.
3597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: London High Court: Craig Wright to sue Bitcoin.org operator-publisher on: April 25, 2021, 08:35:13 PM
This guy is talk of the town again. Does he have anything else to do. Fu*k Craig F Wright. He can not prove anything. It's another attempt from him to be in the news headline. London High Court is not running by some stupids. Give it a few weeks and everything will become normal again.

Wait a minute, the entire bitcoin narrative is lies

How is it that a liar offends so many liars?

All of BITCOIN is a lie, even Satoshi,

This is like Musk pushing DogeCoin, given that everything is bullshit why not do this?? Pushing DogeCoin is/was proof that any crypto, even a bullshit crypto can win the hearts & minds of the greedy crypto fools.

At best this con is just to push the narrative that there ever even was a 'satoshi'

Since Al Gore invented the internet, why is he not Satoshi?

The arguments are just like the entire narrative, how does the court prove that Satoshi never even existed? How can you prove something is false, when the mythology itself is bullshit?

The tombstone of BTC should say "Lying works, it made everyone rich".

Let me guess, You either got paid by Ver or Craig F Wright?
3598  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Help Post: Recover Deleted Blockchain Public Address on: April 25, 2021, 07:51:23 PM
Is there any way to restore/recovery my previous public address?
Blockchain.com gives you an HD wallet which means there will be a set of words. Using those words (12 word seed) you can restore the wallet using Electrum. You need to make sure that you have selection BIP 39 at some point when it will ask you to mark it. Once you restore the wallet then you can see all your addresses and balance in the wallet.

You can try it.
3599  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: betcoin.AG SCAM - closed account and stole over 50mBTC 2000€+ on: April 25, 2021, 07:45:54 PM
Amount Scammed: 4.06LTC deposit, ~50mBTC in total
Proof of Payment:
I will encourage you to post the Tx ID that was used to deposit the fund. A blockchain evidence is such an evidence that can not be altered. Considering the chat log is real,  betcoin.AG also can drop a line in this thread to make their statement clear.

It could be a misunderstanding too.
3600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Participants Only] [IPL 2021] Prediction pool and discussion on: April 25, 2021, 07:35:56 PM
I had a good start in this round but then I forgot to pick the rest of the matches. The default pick is no more for me so I got zero points in last three matches LOL.

For the next few matches my picks are: KKR, RCB, CSK, RR, DC.

Al random 🤣

It was nice to see the tie match. I don't know why Williamson is not regular in SRH team. Is there something to do with Australia vs New Zealand ego?
