3581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: April is the real alt season on: April 19, 2021, 12:11:49 PM
Alt season is thriving so much this month. I am missing out for reals. Been trading all year and finally stop this month lol. I took a break n did other hobbies. Like mining.. must have missed out and I waited 4 yrs for this event if u call it that..  still got like 6 months left.. imo .. my real alt bag is ethereum though.. waiting for like 200% gains.. if its truly here lol.. if not this 6 months then a brutal 4 yr bear market again.. history often repeats itself and often rhymes too.
I really don't think so, as long as the market isn't showing a decline that might be the next month/s will be the alt season as well.
Nevertheless, the situation will be changing from time to time. We can't tell that the market will keep on rising nor it dumps by tomorrow, nothing we sure about in the future. So if you can see that your portfolio is growing and profiting better to take this opportunity and sell some of it. As you have said, history repeats itself, I can't forget what happens last 2018.
3582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: April 19, 2021, 11:11:15 AM
As I remembered from the previous years, Pacquiao is about to retired and end his boxing career due to his mom Mommy Dionisia is worried every time he is in the boxing ring. Well I guess it is just a rumor. For me at Pacquiao's age, he already made a good name and a good career. He already earned a lot of money. I think he is around 40 plus on the present time and I think he already did a good job. Health is very important. Every punch that he may received especially in his head is not good. Instead of pushing that fight, maybe it is better to focus on serving Filipino being a senator or being a President if he will win if he run on the next election. Being his fellow Filipino I am just concern on his health but I know I am not in a position to say this.

Pacquaio tried really hard to get a rematch with Floyd, but unfortunately for him that never materialized. After that he really tried hard for a match at Las Vegas with a decent opponent, but that too is in doubt given the pandemic situation. He knows that he has less than 12 months of career remaining and that's the reason why he is not very keen on the fight with Terence Crawford. He wants to fight a stronger opponent at Las Vegas, rather than taking on Crawford in middle east.

Less than 12 months? for what? does Manny announce that he will retire soon?

I think he can still fight even at 50 years old as long as he is willing and winning. This fight is necessary for him, actually he already loss his belt because he did not have a fight, but that's alright because its due to pandemic and no one would choose fame or money over security.
3583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An obvious rigging of Sports. on: April 19, 2021, 10:57:45 AM
My concern is how often are riggers caught really. Unless they make obvious mistakes, it is very difficult to tell if a player, for example, missed a shot intentionally. It is just not impossible that a player underperforms in a game just because he has a bad day and even if you are suspicious it is very difficult to prove. Soccer is even more difficult in that aspect. Are these blunders? They could be on-purpose.

But on that particular video or game, even if you are thinking that they are not trying to fix the game, it will cross your mind because it is so obvious, it will make you think, why a player that tall with very near the basket will still not convert the shot and on one occasion a player driving to the basket intentionally miss it, it's not that they are having a bad day, even if a player is not in a good condition he can convert a layup because there is no opposition to block him.

Actually sports rigging is really happening, not only in the Philippines, this one is just so obvious, they brought the rigging into the next level that anyone watching the game would notice. They did not even benfit from this fight because AFAIK, the game was stopped.
3584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 19, 2021, 09:49:59 AM
There's still a good news on that injury.

https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/basketball/nba/player/29277/kevin-durant
Quote
The good news is that the initial diagnosis of a bruise suggests KD avoided any major damage, and for now we'll assume he's day-to-day. Jeff Green and Alize Johnson should benefit if KD is forced to miss time, with more PF minutes also available for Blake Griffin

I hope he can come back in the playoffs healthy and strong, injury has been the problem of the Nets but Durant is consistent this year.
Good news that it's not a major injury for him. So this is going to give us fans an expectation that he's going to be back anytime soon.

They should put him at rest until major games comes to them and he's really needed to play for the team.

Maybe fans are just a bit frustrated because tehy were thinking that Durant will not be injured again, but things happen, once a player came from a major injury, usually they become so fragile and this is what happen with Durant, hopefully he can win this problem both physically and mentality.

There's no update yet on how long he'll rest, but I believe it might take a while.
3585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An obvious rigging of Sports. on: April 18, 2021, 09:21:42 PM
Oasisman, is there a possibility that the players (at least some of them) were infected with Covid-19, are there any pre-match tests? If they weren't sick, then this is more than an obvious set-up, and considering how hard they tried to miss clear opportunities, it seems to me that the goal was to finish the game with as few points as possible.

It’s just not clear to me how professional players ever agree to do something like this because they put their whole career at stake - and no one can not get rich from one game. However, I would add that sometimes players are blackmailed into playing badly or doing a specific thing in a game (get a red card in football) - and if someone kidnaps a family member, I believe most players would do anything to bring him back.
This is why there needs to be an investigation about this, if they were sick then this could explain their bad performance, and if it was the case that some of the family members of the players were kidnapped or there was the threat of physical harm against them and their family then it is understandable why this happened, however if an investigation finds out that the players were bribed and that they accepted it then they need to be banned for live from the sport.

It's still unacceptable to rig the game due to their personal problem, they have had reported it to the authorities so they will be help, not putting the reputation of the game in a bad line, just unacceptable. I'm sure the investigation is already on going, so let's just wait for the result and speculate less.
3586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 18, 2021, 08:58:41 PM
I was not able to watch this game (Lakers vs Jazz), but did really Lebron get a T after Clarkson slap him a little?

Lebron James Got's Technical For Delaying the Game After Jordan Clarkson Slapped Him

BTW, I guess this was JC's first start as a Utah Jazz and he really did everything to win but come ups short.

Yeah, Clarkson was really instrumental in leading the Utah Jazz and force an overtime.

However, the team really come up short, KCP and Dennis Schröder, scary tandem. But I don't like the rumour that Knicks want Dennis Schröder, but are reportedly unlikely to get into ‘bidding war’ for him.

And with this win, Lakers firmly on the 5th spot, like 3 games ahead of Portland.
This match really upset many of my friend that bet on Jazz that time. Drummond miraculously show a very strong game which is sufficient to shutdown a strong team like Jazz. Actually I was surprised too that Lakers perform that well without there Aces. Ggwp to the betlords who bet on the underdog Lakers that time.  Cheesy
Jazz is really playing like a proper team, they are really good, with everyone on the floor they are going to be a huge threat in the NBA for sure. However I feel like it is not the league for teams anymore, it is the league for superstars. I mean look at teams, with Nets having so many, Lakers having 2, Clippers having 2, Bucks having an amazing one, Nuggets have Jokic (and had Murray), it is really looking weird. Look at Suns, they "look" great right? Anyone even doubts that they won't win it this year?

I mean it is obvious that they are not going to win it this year, and yet they won so many games. Which is why regular season matters but not as much as people imagine it is, obviously most of the time best team becomes the first team, but that is not required, I remember plenty of times Lebrons teams finished under first seed and still went to finals all the time.

Jazz are underrated, but the moment they won an NBA Finals, that would make this team so special. If you remember the journey of the Warriors before, during the time of Curry, Thompson, Green and other role players, you would not think they are a superteam until they won a championship, so for the Jazz, I'll give them a chance to prove because they are playing with a great team work like the Warriors did during their glory days.
3587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: April 18, 2021, 08:47:00 PM
I read your thread and I read your notes. But unfortunately, I was also unemployed in the past and then made gambling a source of income and that's fine because I don't owe money to gamble. But even though sometimes I owe money to gamble, fortunately I always return it sooner so that it exceeds the refund and that is a fortune for me. But yes, one of the most important things is not to go into debt to gamble as that will only make you more stressed. In addition, the most important thing for the gambler to be responsible is, when you lose you don't involve or take your anger out on close people and other valuables.

That's so hard to consider gambling as a source of income if you are unemployed, I mean the risk is really high unless you are really good in gambling. I can't do that honestly, I'm not good enough in gambling and though I gamble, I make sure I have a stable source of income like a job or a business, but lucky for you that you were able to make money from it.
3588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Eyes on BTC Dominance! on: April 18, 2021, 03:08:02 PM

- If everyone expects btc to top $100k in this bull market then from my calculations if bitcoin is doing this every $10k leg up predictable pattern that is every $10k leg up for btc then it goes sideways for a month or so then we have remaining 3-4 alt seasons left in this year before everything crashes into the new following bear market right?

It is possible, and that seems not hopeless as the market shows some indication that Bitcoin price will reach that amount. The only problem is that we never know when. Well, patience is a virtue, and those who believe that are willing to wait.

Anyway, we are not sure what could be the trend to follow. We can't simply ignore the possible dumps and pumps along with the market FOMO and FUDs. With all these circumstances, we cannot expect that the market will seem to be the same as before but rather to expect differently.
3589  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low could the next bear market move bitcoin? on: April 18, 2021, 01:47:20 PM
$20k, $10k, I don't know, I mean we're not sure how much it dumps if there is a bearish season again.
I was not thinking that thing this time, I was focused on the surge, the bullish season that we enjoyed for almost a year. I only think about market corrections but not seeing a huge drop to happens just like we experience in the past years(2018-2019).

If the market sustains this demand streak that we have now, bearish seems going to be impossible, I mean that only be a few chances.

3590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't bitcoin go up higher percentages like altcoins? on: April 18, 2021, 01:15:32 PM
That be a question but we are so thankful that Bitcoin is having like that. Its market cap could be a huge factor but is just like the demand is stabilizing which helps to maintain the growth gap and not like altcoins just shot up in one day and then it dumps drastically in the other day. I can imagine that people will suffer losses if that scenario will happen.

This is the reason why people, the majority choose Bitcoin out from altcoins as they are not worried so much that they will instantly lose their money for one day. They are not chasing about x50, x100 profit but they are securing the security of their fund and contented enough to make few dollars.
3591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 17, 2021, 10:16:51 PM
While BNB appeals to the wider crypto users because the binance smartchain currently seem to have overcome the biggest issue that most cryptocurrency users have with bitcoin ethereum and the ERC 20 blockchain tokens. This problem is the speed of transaction and and the cost of transactions.
This is a problem  that BSC currently solves, and while a lot of people might argue that BNB is not a fully decentralized coin, i think it is worth noting that a lot of users dont care much for how decentralized  a coin or token is, they just want the solutions they it offers.
This is why i think BNB an the BSC will remain very valuable in years to come
That totally depends on the market and the project owner as well. If the developers will keep their promises to the investors, that we can expect the value of BNB will still be growing. And as long as the crypto market is still active and growing, definitely there is a big chance for that.
We don't have a 100% assurance for this but seem to be looking positive base on what we have seen this time and since its launching.
3592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: April 17, 2021, 09:56:52 PM
Already mentioned here that Btc is for holders. Now it seems that there can be seen a bounce back above $61k level. But if not happened, then we may see it at $56k-$57k expected. But it looks bullish and expecting a pump soon. Institutional investment can be made. The market will decide everything.
The market and the investors decide everything. It lies now in the hands of investors but as their numbers are growing, it gives us the confidence that Bitcoin will even be more valuable in the future than today. And with that instances( if ever), buying now at the hypes could still give us the profit as well if the value of Bitcoin might be reaching $100k in the next 5 years. Not really seems impossible but the problem is we are definitely not 100% about it. I'm just looking for those instances.
3593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 Million BNB Burnt today on: April 16, 2021, 09:18:46 PM
I’ve heard about this news today and the hype is already circulating in social media but I don’t think it can affect the price today as we’ve seen pullback on the market.

The previous hype might be intentionally done by CZ because this burning, its hard to tell when will the market reacts on this but for now, let’s just see the price going down and wait for the right price to enter again, the future is still huge for BNB.
The impact on the market not seems too bad this time but not sure in the coming days. I expected panic selling for this especially for the weak holders so possibly dump will surely we have to see. I hope this never happens but we can't stop weak hands people acted like that.

Definitely, it gives a way for investors to accumulate more BNB if that be going to happen and this also helps for the faster recovery which most of the holders worried about.
3594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 15, 2021, 10:13:23 PM
The fact tha he retires, meaning he is not anymore part of the team, so I guess he will not anymore get a ring but just a recognition for his contribution this season,

Think about it too so you might be right.

But let's wait until the Nets will be a champion. Whatever it is, that ring will make Aldridge happy as he was now being recognized even after his retirement.

Damn these sudden health problems and injuries. Spoiling a player's dream.

I'm not sure he would be happy on getting a ring when he did not make an effort to win it, you get a ring to win in the NBA Finals, so one should be part of the roster that will play in the NBA finals, whether a bench or starter, so it doesn't make sense of him getting a ring though, just my thoughts.
3595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what way to take profit ? on: April 15, 2021, 03:30:59 PM
I really like buying top volume coins and also buying Bitcoin before the halving, because the two methods I have proven myself can generate profits.
Now almost all top volume prices have increased dramatically, and even if the price goes down it will recover quickly. Therefore it is highly recommended
to buy top volume coins, because investing in top volume coins is usually very easy to make profit with daily trading. Then buy Bitcoin before the halving,
it has been proven from the 3 halving that the Bitcoin price will pump after the halving occurs.

Perhaps, it was a more effective and secure strategy as we know that the market will pump after halving.

ICO/IPO, I have a bad experience with this and until now, I can't forget. It still stuck on my wallet and I was hopeless seeing no development on the project. I realize that I was not so lucky with that investment, I have nothing to do but to move on and keep this learning.
3596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Love the bad news on: April 14, 2021, 10:58:44 PM
That's a nice saying but an exchange hack would not result to a big drop of 50% of the current price, maybe it's possible if Binance will be hack and their SAFU could not cover the loses anymore, but I'm not hoping for that. Even without bad news, bear market will come as correction will come, it's just that we don't exactly know when it will happen, so keep your hopes high, it will just come.
3597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna WBC interim lightweight Title on: April 14, 2021, 10:38:55 PM
-
I watched Fotuna's highlights because I'm not familiar with his professional profile, and It turns out that he's a southpaw haymaker.
Looking at the match up picture above, It seems that this might be a clear mismatch in favour of Garcia.
Garcia has the height, reach, speed, and age. Judging at how Fortuna fight, he seems to be easily countered by Garcia. Garcia has a high chance of K.Oing his opponent.
So, I won't be surprise with the sports book's odds with this match.

I think sportsbooks will indeed favor Garcia here.
One advantage though of Fortuna is his years of experience.
But with younger age and rigid training, Garcia will give him a good fight.
Hope to see a toe-to-toe fight here and not a boring one.
If Garcia is eyeing to fight Pacquiao, then, this fight should be an easy one for him.

Obviously he will be the favorite here, Ryan Garcia's previous opponent before this fight was way better than the current, I don't know if Fortuna coudl give him a trouble but I'm seeing an win by KO here in favor of Ryan Garcia. A betting odds is still important to determine how bookies evaluate this fight.
3598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP set to dethrone Bitcoin on: April 12, 2021, 01:00:37 PM
It is easy to say but it is not that much easy to surpass Bitcoin for XRP. There is a very huge difference in Total market cap between XRP and Bitcoin and to cover up this difference is like an uphill task for XRP. On the other hand, XRP is also a good coin but bitcoin is a gem if you compare both of them. If XRP wins the case still it would be quite hard for XRP to match the total market cap value. Bitcoin is the king of the crypto market and it seems it will keep dominating the crypto market.
Not to mention how many coins and people thinking which coins could dethrone Bitcoin at once. Many speculations are made but none of them are able to make it. If we were talking about this again, it never makes sense anymore as we know that no other coin will ever dethrone Bitcoin to its position. It is not only about the price but Bitcoin is so unique and people had value this more than any coins that are existed in the market.
3599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper money vs Digital currency on: April 12, 2021, 12:35:07 PM
That’s why people need to be educated and use simple terms for them to understand the digital currency. Not everyone are able to understand using the crypto currencies and I’ve experienced that when I tried to explain it to a friend of mine, like she basically did not understand every term I used and so I think it’ll be better if we educated them and explain it to them like teaching a 5 year old kid. And I think it did work on my end because she is now trading using Coinbase and has invested and traded a certain amount of her savings.
Yeah, it is a big challenge for us to change their mindset and we can't force them to appreciate Bitcoin. But anyway, this not a race where we need to push the market into abrupt change, this innovation takes time to develop and it needs people with more awareness in order to build trust. Maybe the new generation could easy to teach but for the oldies, that be hopeless.

So this time, we do not guarantee the fullest adoption of Bitcoin. We only could tell the true success of its adoption when the majority of the online transaction is accepting crypto. But for now, doubts still be found and people are still questioning the capability of Bitcoin.
3600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are good for investing? on: April 12, 2021, 12:01:25 PM
Everyone has different thoughts when investing and if I personally if I have to start with a small amount of money then I will choose the top altcoins which still have a price of $ 0.01 - $ 0.1
by the way I don't like XRP
I use XRP actually for my withdrawal transactions due to its low fees that is why I love XRP. I really don't know why many were hating XRP this time, maybe because of the SEC issue or of being a centralized coin?

I'm still looking for XRP to have the potentials but somehow, we can't expect this coin to give us x2 profit. This is really a factor that causes many investors to reject and find another one. That for sure, XRP is not the best coin that OP is looking for.
