3581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 19, 2021, 02:27:24 AM
I really wanted to see a game 7, this doesn't change anything and there could still be a game 7 but I have to say that it is now a lot harder for Suns to end up winning at a road game, there is a good chance Bucks could end this in 6. ~snip~

The situation now favors the Bucks, they'll bring their biggest crowd in game 6 because if they'll win, they'll celebrate. I also don't see a scenario where the Suns will ruin this, if the Bucks will win, they deserve to celebrate the championship at home.

With this possible win, Giannis will be proven to be one of the legit NBA stars because his resume will go like this.

Regular season MVP
NBA Finals MVP
NBA Champion.

At a young age of 26 years old, that's already a big achievement and he deserves that as he never joins a superteam to win a championship. Durant is 32 years old and yet so explosive, if Giannis will develop more as a player, he will become as good as Lebron but better as a team player. Chris Paul's dream to win a championship before he retires might not be realized, and next season will be tough for the Suns as most teams will be healthy again.

I think he is still improving, last year we never seen this version of Giannis and they always fall short.

Now, he is leading the team and even though he suffered a injury, he was able to come back from it and now performing like a true 2x MVP. He has now developed to be a facilitator, and then he can go one on one facing the basket. But he needs to make sure to hit that free throws, because there are games that are decided on it. Just like when Paul George misses both on their series against the Phoenix. Lots of improvement but he is capable as he is still very young.

I was not happy with krajinovic performance i thought after the great show he put against tsitsipas that today he can put the same performance but i guess its not easy against carreno busta he is doing great recently and in the last couple of years he proved himself congratulation for him i think he will make it in top 10.
Right, Krajinovic is somewhat of a disappointment in the finals, he was the underdog but not that far though. With the strength of his win against the top seed Tsitsipas, we are hoping that somewhat we will bring his A-game in this finals against Busta. But he lost and I would say demolished easily by Busta in straight sets. For Busta, he is playing really very well in the past tournament whether grass or clay, expecting him to continue this and break into the top 10.
3583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Follows Ethereum? on: July 17, 2021, 07:27:20 AM
I 100% believe that ethereum follows bitcoin instead. People do not realize that whenever something major happens it is usually bitcoin that goes up first and then we see every altcoin moving accordingly, doesn't matter if it is ethereum doesn't matter if it is 12432421th marketcap coin, ALL altcoins go together whenever bitcoin moves.
That's bitcoin advantage, being the prime mover, everyone depends on it, trading pairs obviously. Although there are times that ETH move by itself, bitcoin is not left behind. And then when bitcoin goes up, everyone goes up as well.

This is why ETH is not different from any other coin. Obviously we are talking about something that is as cool as it gets because ETH is getting so much better that people are talking about ETH fighting against bitcoin itself, that is why I honestly believe that this is a good thing, since ethereum is second that means if we see eth and btc fighting each other that is only something good for all of crypto. At the end of the day, we need to applaud any try to beat bitcoin since if we see them all get better that is all the better for us.
If bitcoin is the king of crypto, Ethereum is the altcoin version. However, I don't think at this point we will see coins that will overtake bitcoin, not ETH and not any in the top ten coins.
3584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Bull Market: A Long Road Ahead on: July 17, 2021, 06:39:46 AM
I hope with you all guys saying is happen soon cause i dont want bitcoin touch below 30K again  Grin its enough to see my spot portofolio is red
But that is bitcoin volatility to you, we are already down 50%, all our portfolio are in red obviously. However, if you are not selling then you are not losing any money, not yet. So better be strong psychologically when the price hits below $30k (if it hits that price). Because bitcoin's price is really hard to predict, but I'm still counting that it can reach a new all time high, it's gonna be a long road and so we need a lot of patience in the process.
3585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's causing the decline this time? on: July 16, 2021, 11:45:26 AM
Can't see anything particular in the news, or is there? EM? China? Anything I'm missing?
It's more of the GBTC unlocking 41k of BTC. It's been covered by mainstream and crypto related media that's why it has such profound effect that their are investors who sold off because they are afraid that the price will plummet once billions of dollars of bitcoin is unlock.

But don't worry, the market is resilient with this kind of news that after a few days of a slump, it will bounce back again to mid and high $30k'ish.
3586  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Start A Cryptocurrency Exchange Step-by-Step on: July 16, 2021, 10:38:41 AM
The steps may seem simple but there's more than meets the eyes here. The capital/bankroll alone should be more than enough, though I can't give what range but liquidity is one important aspects to consider when putting up an exchange. Also, the legal documentation behind it if you want to run your business legally. The tasks involved don't stop once you launch the exchange but it is a continuous process. So you need to contemplate if you are ready to run this kind of business. Because you will just waste your resources if you will run a substandard crypto exchange that can't attract traders.
Yeah on paper it seems very simply, but once you executed it, you will have a lot of headaches because it's not going to be easy. Look at Binance, when they started, they have a lot of issues, and for sure CZ has a lot of sleepless night and where to get the money from. So it's a lot of hard work to put up one and then maintain it to be successful. Lots of intangibles, that cannot be measures.
3587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 16, 2021, 09:37:56 AM
^^ For the Delbonis vs Ramos-vinolas, I think handicap (-2.5) @1.90 will be a good bet, of course the risk is much higher as compare to the ML or Ramos-vinolas (+2.5) @1.84. But if you have followed Delbonis, he is a good player and in any given day, he can score 6-0 in a set. So for me, I will prefer the (-2.5) for him to cover the spread.
I am on Delbonis ML, did not want to mess with the handicaps here. Yes Delbonis is much better but both are clay specialists and sometimes strange things can happen.

Have it in a treble with Gombos ML and Ruud -3.5. Gombos already did his part, now just need these 2 to do theirs.

Delbonis won and covered the spread, but yes, it's too much a risk, if I'm not mistaken the line for Delbonis increased to (3.5).

Delbonis will not face Paire next, rank number 8 in this tournament. But I think ML for Delbonis will still be a good bet and have it parlay maybe with a Tsitsipas win.
3588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 16, 2021, 08:33:29 AM
Game is in 3 days, where do go we go from here Huh The line is currently in favor of the Suns and it's -4.5 for them.

If we follow the pattern, I think we should go for the Suns in game5 because whoever has the homecourt advantage won so far in this series and they always cover the spread so Suns -4.5@1.9 is the way to go but on the other hand the Bucks have already found the confidence they needed that might offset the homecourt advantage  Smiley.

Nice analysis, why go against the home court when the trend is not broken yet?

Of course, I will follow you with that, Suns will win and cover, that's the only possibility I see.

Nice series so far, I thought it will be boring as the Suns already had control after game 2, but no, the Bucks surprised us, and Giannis and company bounced back.
I think we don't need to go and over complicate our analysis, since teams have been holding a win in their home court, it could be true in the next game, so it will be the Suns and could possibly cover the -4.5 spread. It's hard to go against it, yes they have lost the last 2 games, but for sure Chris Paul and Booker will produce good numbers. They've almost win game 4, got a good lead, but the Bucks came up big with the Giannis block and then Middleton mid range jumper. Now it's time for the Suns to take the lead again. The pressure is on the Bucks here not on Phoenix.
3589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 16, 2021, 07:38:14 AM
Probably because Chris Paul is also check too by Jrue Holiday. Jrue made a lot of adjustments guarding Chris Paul, he meet him early and pressure him before the mid line and this makes Paul alley hoop somewhat not working anymore as he is contested even with his jump shot. And the thing with Bucks is that they have big men that clogged the middle, with Lopez and Giannis playing at the same time. You can only draw either of the two, so if Ayton draw Lopez out, there's no one to make an alley hoop. And yes, last 2 games, Chris Paul has committed a lot of turnovers, again this is due to the fact of Bucks cutting him at every corners and angles.
Yes, I forgot about that, thanks for the reminder. I tried watching the replay to see what the Suns are really lacking in Game 4. They got the lead but had difficulties stopping the 4th quarter run of the Bucks led by Middleton.
It was mostly turnovers that got them in trouble. They didn't notice is but they already got 17 turnovers before they finish the game while on the other hand the Bucks protected the ball so well they only had 5. Defense is almost identical. 9 blocks for the Suns led by Jae Crowder with 3 steals and 11 steals for the Bucks.
It just means CP3 is not keeping the ball protected if their turnover is higher than their past games. If Suns want to win another game it's just CP3 they needed to be back on high end performance.
Exactly, turn overs are killing them, in the previous series, CP3 turn overs was limited to less than 10 if I'm not mistaken. But in the series against the Bucks, he has committed more than than. And we all know that Suns offense start from CP3, if he has been guarded and lock by Jrue there will be no alley oop to Ayton or not pick and rolls for Booker. Nothing against Jae Crowder defense, but against Giannis, I would say that Giannis has the numbers.
3590  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to do a defensive trading strategy? on: July 15, 2021, 01:19:28 PM
Just the usual indicators to look at, but as others have pointed out, it's more on the stop-lost that you are going to set-up. It will be very tight, and the profit of market is slim, because being a defensive trader, a profit of 10% is already huge. But you have to remember that it's not prone to lost as well, you are just mitigating the risk to low. This could be good if you are starting to be a trader and learn the trick and tips along the way.
3591  Economy / Speculation / Re: David Gokhshtein: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $80K on: July 15, 2021, 12:28:25 PM
I know that one reason is the big drop in hash rate, but I think that's over reacting. The hash rate is already getting back up (for today 120 EH/s was reported again).

Its a combination of the hash rate and natural occurrence as currencies and this is not isolated to cryptocurrencies but fiat too currencies will always have a natural variance where they dip and rise and when you combine that with things like the global hash rate dropping you are going to see some short term effects however even that is caused by natural variance too.

No, the problem with the hashrate dropping is because of Chinese miners pulling the plug, so it's not a natural occurrence, it has drastic effect on the market. But as @NeuroticFish it's slowly getting back to normal range, if I'm not mistaken it even drop for <100 EH/s for weeks.

As for his prediction, take it with a grain of salt, obviously, he has some narrative behind and just like the rest of us, this is just a wild and educated guess.
3592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 15, 2021, 11:36:35 AM
I think Ayton with 17 rebounds did his job on the glass, but he’s gotta do better shooting from the field than that. No excuse for only scoring 6 points. He puts up his usual % from the field and it’s a tie game. The Suns have ridden DeAndre hard all playoffs and I think they need to go to him and let him punish Giannis down low if they want to win. Next game this Saturday. It will determine who has their back against the wall…
It's like they forgot about the alley-oop plays for him. When he stretches those arms, who knows who could reach it but I am sure someone will commit a foul. It was CP3 who always made plays for him but I never saw that anymore, most of the time he turn the ball over (4 today) and being careless when scrambling the painted area.
Perhaps they should try a post-up game now. Bucks already knew it will just be Booker and CP3 as the center of their offense. Time to adjust a new strategy for Coach Monty.

3594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: July 15, 2021, 09:39:39 AM
Same as others, no budget whatsoever, I just play money that I can afford to lose simply as that. Maybe for some who are really addicted, maybe their whole salary or paycheck, or there could be signature participants who spend their weekly pay on gambling/sports betting. But for me not the case, if I feel that I wanted to gamble, probably just a few satoshi's to bet let's say NBA games to make it more exciting watching the game with some friends.
3595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 14, 2021, 12:10:50 PM
Anyone watching the Hamburg European Open?

It's round of 16 already, Tsitsipas is the top seed here and will be facing Dominik Koepfer. Lots of good name with I check on the list, likes of Carreno-Busta and Delbonis, I think this is going to be a good tournament to watch and even bet for some underdogs here.
I check the competition, yes there could be good names in this tournaments, but mostly some tier B players. But in any case, yeah, there could be some upsets down the line as these players wanted to go up in rankings and maybe preparing for big tournaments to enter.

Tsitsipas might be the top seed, and since is his favorite surface, he could potentially win this tournament but with opposition from Busta and Delbonis or even Lajovic.
3596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a good investment in this pendamic situation? on: July 14, 2021, 11:16:23 AM
From what I am reading most people who want to invest, usually buy Bitcoin and use their savings. Then they get some hardware wallet and hold it long term.
Probably these are smart investors,  Grin.

However there are also those people who want to trade Bitcoin, usually with leverage and usually with borrowed funds. Whether it’s from a credit card, loan, line of credit. Those are usually the ones which get liquidated at first. And we saw this back in late 2017 when people were opening up Coinbase accounts and funding with their credit cards. What that led to was visa and MasterCard blocking those transactions because if the market corrected they would be on the hook if it led to people defaulting.

Hence why it’s difficult to buy crypto these days with credit cards .
And that is a huge risk, borrowing money just to invest in crypto. And I would say that it is a double whammy as you have to pay credit cards with interest and then suddenly the market goes into bearish trend. So I don't agree with this kind of strategy. Just better to save your money and then invest on crypto later for long term hold. Less headache and the chance of getting a good returns in the future.
3597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 14, 2021, 09:24:37 AM
Still the exciting Casimero will be the favorite, and I wanted him to destroy Rigo in this fight. So that there will be no doubt about him facing the winner of Inoue vs Donaire. And it could be inevitable to see Filipinos unifying the belt if Casimero and Donaire wins.
Im rooting for Casimero to win but its not going to be easy I think. Rigondeaux in his previous fights are not an easy opponent showing his strength and his fast move, Casimero need to condition himself and think of strategy to have an edge over Rigon. This is a fair fight and unpredictable.
Rigo is more of a defensive power, and I would say that he is no longer in his prime, he is old already and that might affect his reflex and speed. And Casimero, with his aggressive can land some good punch on Rigo's chin and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes down, or become so defensive that it will be a boring fight or maybe he will quit on his stool just like when he fought Loma.
3598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: USA Basketball loss odds on: July 14, 2021, 08:57:41 AM
I can't find the line but does anyone here know what the ML line was for the Nigeria win over the US in the exhibition Olympics warmup game.  I would image the odds were huge in favor of the US.
I can't remember what the odds for Nigeria to win, but I saw them in sportsbet.io. US was like 1.0x the favorite to win, if I'm not mistaken.

Then they lost to a very good Australia team.  I can see this version of the US team getting knocked out before the medal stages.  Kevin love as your center.   Roll Eyes
They really need to work it out, lots of adjustment to make, I'm pretty sure by the time the real competition in Olympics takes off, the team has somewhat build a chemistry and could smothered their opposition with huge leads.
3599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 14, 2021, 08:03:19 AM
Wait thinking while Sleeping ? meaning are you dreaming ? or in bedtime?

If you are thinking while before sleeping then that is already addiction because instead of thinking for what food to buy for tomorrow what you are planning is another expenses.
There are some moments that we get to dream of what we used to think before sleeping. That's really happening and it's caused by overthinking what we'd like to do and that's when you get to enjoy gambling and even thinking of strategy, profits, or recovery most of the time.
Gamblers that tend to have that experience are experiencing serious addiction and they have to recognize that for themselves as it's only one of the signs that they have to know because there's a lot more.
And if we thought of gambling even in our dreams, but most of the times we are really going to do it the next day because it is somewhat instilled in our mind. And if that happens, the first sign of being addicted sets in. Well I guess it's ok to think about your lost and what not and what went wrong and that's it. You can't just go back and play again and again and losing money in return. We should control ourselves and think about the money we could have spend on.
3600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Identifying Satoshi Would Be a BAD Thing on: July 13, 2021, 08:53:18 PM
If I'm not mistaken, after the Gavin will visit the CIA, Satoshi might have thought that indeed bitcoin is already making some noise that time and the CIA or any other intelligence agencies might have been looking and trying to dissect it already. So it's better for him to go underground first. My speculation is that he just want to go out and probably would surface later. However, since bitcoin is taking the limelight after his disappearance, he just decided to get out and not comeback anymore.

And up to this time, we have seen the same bad narratives or the attacks on bitcoin itself and yet it is still thriving under the premise that it was design or being used by criminals, and other arguments.
