3581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 15, 2020, 05:56:59 PM
Interesting LFC_Bitcoin! But I thought the Liverpool report I read said they were affected by Fulham fans, or maybe I mistakenly read something because London I know is highest alert (hence no fans for Spurs as well).

I hope the best team wins tomorrow. I feel like the way we are playing we can beat anyone right now,,, except Liverpool:(
3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: December 15, 2020, 04:16:16 PM
You know what I want? Another honest to god real memecoin project like Dogecoin. Where the community was fun,,, generous, helpful and kind. And who actually helped good causes.

Not the Meme Defi coins that are full of scammy, greedy people who think they are better than everyone
3583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: December 15, 2020, 03:02:44 PM
Ac Milan, Napoli, club Brugge, Rangers and Roma might qualify to the next round considering majority of their opponents are no match for them. For Man Utd, I don't think it would be much of a problem for them to get past Real Sociedad. Considering they were shockingly removed from the UCL during the last lap, this UEL is their chance at redemption and Sociedad doesn't stand a chance. I don't know why I'm having doubts about Ajax beating Lille.

Same here. Ajax are not playing anywhere near the way they were in the seasons of 18/2019 when they dumped big giants out. This group stage they even struggled against a small Danish team.

Lille on the other hand are making Europa their winning ground.

My Spurs got an Austrian side,,, hope we do not forget how to play football.
3584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 Million Ethereum coins STAKED on ETH 2.0 but IS IT PROFITABLE?! on: December 15, 2020, 11:14:48 AM
I always feel like it is really funny to call ETH coins but anyway, it seems most people interchange tokens/coins and whatever thanks to Bitcoin and ETH itself!

I was tempted as well to follow some staking pools but my measly ETH is not going to bring much profits anyway and I am still unsure of security of 2.0 to even try following these pools.

83 points for me overall,,, which was not too bad but not even enough to break into the leaderboard but well done to the winners. I hope some of them at least were also forum members here so we can celebrate them. I guess not most of them are active on bitcointalk but thank you anyway to FJ;)
3586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bnb is cheaper faster then eth and btc on: December 15, 2020, 09:22:30 AM
It is true BNB has faster blockchain ecosystem than eth and bitcoin because they were the most adopted crypto currency right now and with that it's more congested than even before. BNB on the other hand is simply in the radar in the market and have great features to it fast transactions with less fees and can be used on discounted fees on binance exchange.

Faster does not mean anything if there are not enough people using it or if the chain is easily hacked by 51% attacks.

Bitcoin is slow but at least there is people using it to capacity which forced them to make scalability upgrades,,, the same with Ethereum:)

Easy to make fast, not easy to make secure.
3587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 15, 2020, 07:24:40 AM
Well done to everyone, especially I have to say Avirunes for getting top prize AND the sidebet too. I thought I would do quite well at first too, especially for catching the correct draw for Manchester derby but my own team let me down;)

Good luck to everyone for the last one of the year,,, and especially big thank you to Sportsbet for making football great:)
3588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 14, 2020, 02:08:55 PM
The shocking news came from Real Madrid coach Zidane, who threatened to resign at the end of this season if Madrid failed to bring in the player he wanted like Paul Poga, which is certainly very disappointing considering that Zidane is a coach who successfully awarded the La Liga title and also the Champions League for Madrid, but the conditions Madrid, which increasingly does not support Zidane, could be a trigger for him to leave his position as Madrid coach, especially this season Madrid did not buy a single player in the transfer market yesterday.

What is so shocking about that?Wink He has been making statements for his entire time at Real Madrid. That club has a really funny way of saying thank you to ex players and coaches who bring them success,,, although lately Barcelona is the one showing everyone how NOT to treat ex loyal servants.

Money issues everywhere with the rich clubs,,,
3589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The DeFi Red Flags on: December 14, 2020, 12:44:40 PM
Defi was good 6 months ago, but now so many scam projects using defi names and scamming people. I myself got scam about $1500 on XFI project, it was going so good but the owner did a rug pull at the last moment, and took all ETH, and vanished. I learned my lesson, now I don't invest in any defi project, I hear lots of ppl got scammed. so be careful if you invest any money on defi project.

Nah,,, it was okay a year ago and also okay 6 months ago, but the scams were just as bad in those early times as it is now,,, maybe even worse in those times because a lot of early investors also lost money in March through makerdao crash remember? Now this is just ICO time again like before. Same scammers running and rinsing, and same greed making people lose money.
3590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 14, 2020, 12:11:14 PM
December has always been the toughest month when betting on Premier League: too many games in a short amount of time. For LFC Spurs I would go for an under 2,5 goals while I could agree with the other results.
Another game for me would be West Ham - CP where I see the hammers winning

And even worse during Corona season. I think teams who had injuries earlier on may actually benefit from the season later,,, me I am always worried for the seasonal Kane injury that must come sooner or later. If we can protect him and Son, Spurs can go really far, but we always have this injury problem and I can feel it bearing down on us at some point.

Just need to win against Liverpool for a cushion.
3591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Yield Bank is going to be the next 100x crypto on: December 14, 2020, 10:19:06 AM
Almost all of the project and currencies that i've read about x100 and above here in forum end up scamming or not even hitting x2 in value.

Yet there are some investors who tend to believe or those are their own marketing people that put funds to let others see it as legit and trustworthy to invest.

Luring people because of false statements and promises will only prove about the bad reputation of the mentioned .
Better Let the people examine the project and let them decide if they will invest or not and never do such claims.
Goodluck to all those who will try this one,But for now I'm out.

Right? I think people should really just take a break from seeing promises of x100 and look at historical charts to see the evidence that none of these projects have sustainable value. When you invest,,, you are literally gambling. Not to mention all the time spent just waiting and watching and hoping to be online to catch the wave.
3592  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: December 14, 2020, 08:42:44 AM
Outrageous!

Tottenham and Liverpool drawing ruined all of my multis for the day. It seems that Bundesliga's draw disease is spreading to Premier League, very frustrating when all of my multis get wrecked by one lost bet.

And this caused us to lose today's Sportsbet Special.

Both Tottenham and Liverpool aren't that good when playing away from home this season. That's the reason why I was skeptical to put Liverpool in any of my selections despite being a fan. I knew we won't lose but wasn't sure about a win either. In the Premier league, even the smallest of teams give big teams a road for their money. Fulham's performance today was real solid.

Phew, yes. I saw the Harry Kane goal and let anyone not take away how good the shot was at the time,,, many I see say it should have been saved but even the keeper at the ending interview said he could have not saved it because it swerved left and right. I thought we would lose our top spot too but thanks to Fulham we live a few more days in #1;)
3593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why difference in Transaction fees on: December 14, 2020, 08:07:02 AM
As a newbie into cryptocurrency world, I understand up to a certain extent the reason for high or low transaction (gas) fees on mostly used blockchain network which is ethereum.
But a thing I find funny is doing a transaction almost at the same time on both tron link wallet and Klever wallet, a gas fee of just 1 tron was charged on tron link while Klever charged about 13 trx for the same amount of transfer at almost the same time. What can possibly be the reason for that?

Centralized wallets charge their own fees, this is why. Learn to use your own wallet where you set your own fees. When you trust a centralized wallet, you have to agree to all their settings, all centralized services charge you something to pay for maintenance and upkeep. Nothing you can do about it except just migrate to your own native Tron wallet.
3594  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: December 14, 2020, 06:48:53 AM
I don't think he's talking about recovering the loss, but about a wagering amount. If someone bets with a high chance, they're going to accumulate a far greater total wagaring amount than someone who bets with a lower chance. At least in theory. Assuming he doesn't lose everything in his first few bets.  Grin

Yes,,, a strategy I sometimes use just to increase my wager, usually in competitions or just to get a few level bumps in a short time. I remember reading someone's strategy for level increase before and tried it: do martingale to get a small 1% profit on bankroll, then divide up that 1% into smaller bets at max win chance and just roll it all until you lose. Rinse and repeat. Not risk free but it does let you get a wagering amount with smaller bankrolls:)
3595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DeFi Dead? on: December 14, 2020, 06:10:13 AM
I always had a poor view of DeFi and that has never changed,,, in fact only worsened with all the rugpulls as you point out. But like ICOs,,, they will not die instantly they can only take off higher with more people coming in. This will last many months more.

P.S. Doge Dad, I actually only read that now even though I have seen your other threads. May I ask why you open so many threads? Why not just one single thread and update it every now and then when you have this new issue?
3596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 13, 2020, 09:06:44 AM
Hehe, lol @leea-1134 Grin I changed your picks and not that it probably matters whith your performance thus far^^, but I have some trouble interpreting this pick:

Manchester United - Manchester City. Z

Is that a zero-zero = draw ?

Or more like zzzzzzzzzzz for a super boring game ? Cool

Ouch ouch,,, so sorry to you ty I have caused you so much inconvenience:( But good for me that pick for the Manchester derby was a draw! I expected 1-1 or 2-2 though but they had other idea;)

Anyway not bad to you guys who did 4 and 5. You are also at the top of the leaderboard in Sportsbet (I see 6 people with 5 picks correct). Not bad at all for 5/8 amazing!
3597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the most important thing in the development of a project? on: December 12, 2020, 05:16:52 PM
The use case of a project can easily push it to success but if the team arent experts they will ruin everything themselves, I've seen developers and project teams making a wrong decisions that ruin their projects till today for example ESH team decided to bring in john mcafee and help with ghost project launch through an airdrop but the fact is john mcafee have bad reputation in crypto space already and before his arrest things went side ways between them and many start selling their ESH token because John said he knew nothing about ESH and Ghost, till that time this coin haven't recover

Use case is not useful unless regular people really need the product and really already use the service,,, that is there is existing demand for the token being used for something that does not need to be created.

Many projects made up brilliant use cases but how to convince people to use the token as a new habit? Not easy at all.
3598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 12, 2020, 04:12:35 PM

3599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto-Gambling Sites are being _ about XRP EVENT tomorrow. on: December 11, 2020, 04:35:51 PM
This is one of the reasons why centralized exchanges or wallets are not good, you can blame them if they don't support the distribution of airdropped token, since, in the first place, they already own your coin after you deposit on their platform, "not your keys, not your coins".

Yes,,, imagine all the free money these exchanges get. Keeping all the airdrops from their customers' wallets. Forks and airdrops have made many exchanges rich for nothing, and yet still they find a way to screw people over again and again. Time to use them and be done as soon as you finish trading, exit every coin.
3600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 11, 2020, 03:11:19 PM
Kevin De Bruyne is a great playmaker and he reminds me on Riquelme who has very low speed but if he has a good system around, he plays very well. Bruyne is faster than the Bruyne but he plays with his mind and his fast observation. He observe his teammate movements fastly and make super quick decisions. His passing skills help him to convert his decision to opportunities.

In the player stat table, some Spurs' players there: from Son, Kane, to Augurier and they as a club deserve the first position. Ndombele deserves a spot in top players. Mourinho came and changed Ndombele to be a beast.

Bruyne is faster than Bruyne you said;)

Anyway, Bruyne is not fast I think, and not so strong but like you said no one pays him for his muscles but for his brain. I think in the old days when you see 40 year olds playing (and hopefully to still see people like Zlatan do that) you realize most of them never was paid for their speed. Like Giggs.

As a Spurs fan I disagree about Ndombele. If you change, you deserve to get ranked. Where were many stars today just five years ago before their coaches turned them into beasts?Smiley
