361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits $14,000! on: December 07, 2017, 12:50:59 AM
I am thinking that the massive adaptation due to the observation of aggressive increase in price is one factor that continuously affects the bitcoin market.
I think more people wanted to be within the bitcoin rocket that contributes the great demand.
As long as people are not afraid of investing even starting at a low amount investment, the price will continue to pump higher.
362  Other / Meta / Re: Account farming ?!? on: December 06, 2017, 11:18:01 PM
Even though there are chances that those accounts belong to different people, posting more than twenty posts a day is seriously post bursting.
I can't believe someone could actually do this many posts within a day with different accounts. It's clear that they are already familiar with bitcoin and definitely just making plenty of posts to rank up. Too greedy for one person. Very sad and hating account farmers more.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 'Buy and Hold' the Best Bitcoin Investment Strategy? on: December 06, 2017, 03:26:22 PM
Is 'Buy and Hold' the Best Bitcoin Investment Strategy?

You are basically believing that the price will increase infinitely by using that strategy, buying at all time high can be risky regardless of what people try to tell because no one knows when the next crash will come.

It means that one or the other day crash will occur? So according to it will be the end of Bitcoin. So if the people know that Bitcoin is risky investment scheme then why are taking such risks?

Because it can go both ways.
In my opinion, it will always be depending on how people trust bitcoin as a commodity or store value. Once that someone says withdraw, everyone will sell and prices will crash. Of someone says hodl because it will rise up, many will invest and prices will be going down.
That is why many are taking risks, volaliy is unpredictable especially this past few weeks and today.
364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will crash one day? on: December 06, 2017, 12:03:09 PM
Do you think Bitcoin will crash one day?
Well if you see at fiat, they crash and recover, so why will Bitcoin be different? It's a currency after all. It will see its ups and downs but the main thing with bitcoin crashing will be, What will make it crash. A way better Altcoin, Quantum computers or a world war 3. The question you are asking has no one definite answer. You are allowed to believe whatever you like Wink

That should always be what people are trying to research on before they go screaming bitcoin will crash.
I think they should have enough sources of information that explain hypothesis assuming that it would be happening.
In my opinion, such scenarios happen because people think bitcoin will go down that is why many will sell not knowing they will be the reason why it will go down.
It is not a fact butbi think it contributes to any crash.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Women in the cryptocurrency industry on: December 06, 2017, 09:20:56 AM
I think its hard to assume that there are more men in the cryptocurrency industry than woman. Because of the anonymity in the forum, everyone here is referred to as a HE. not unless someone takes a real survey here to determine the rate. but come to think of it. I think that there are hundreds or thousands of farm accounts in this forum that is why it will still be not accurate. I am a women, and I am referred to as a dude here which is sometimes funny i guess.
Also, i think women are more enthusiastic when it come to learning stuffs like this. It's just my opinion though.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two reasons why "they" are pumping the price of Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2017, 11:00:01 AM
I am a bit convinced that government is behind the recent Bitcoin pump. Here are reasons for the pumps :

1. To buy as many Bitcoins as possible in order to fullly control it and manipulate the price in the future.

2. To buy as many Bitcoins as possible, make some profits for the "futures investors", dump them all, crash the price and create a massive chaos in Crypto World. This is to enable  Regulators to step in and  take full control of Bitcoin or ban it entirely. Most users will eventually welcome the moves for their investment safety.

At first, I was thinking the same thing. But when I have read a thread about it in the forum one thing is for sure, Government can't take control of cryptocurrencies.

I think this thread would help somehow as another source of information by others perception and knowledge.

It was clearly explained by some op.
367  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN milestone 10000$. Continue to rise or not??? on: December 05, 2017, 10:34:56 AM
As like everyone, I think bitcoin jumped higher that I have expected. It's price every week is ridiculously overboard and starting to think that it can move more upwards since everyone is interested to hop on. With more people being attracted to bitcoins growth it will be possible to reach higher marks not just in the future but very soon.
Since prices are already high, miners are getting scarce, I think soon, growth will be slower.
368  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will my localbitcoins wallet coins expire? on: December 05, 2017, 08:50:59 AM
Well, in my own opinion. I can't say very much because it's about the level of security of your wallet. I think it's better to leave your coins in hard wallets if you wanted to store them for a long time. While in online wallets, there are instances that they are having technicalities wherein there is nothing you can't do until they fix their networks. In short, you are not really holding your coins. So in advise, choose a safe wallet. It will be for your own investment safety.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price of BTC has fallen sharply. Will altcoin price fall? on: December 05, 2017, 07:34:03 AM
Has the price of BTC been fluctuating wildly recently? This wave of gains was all due to the rise of the BTC, with Altcoin passive following, and many of the altcoin's price not rising, and if the price of BTC fell sharply, it would not be disastrous.Triggered a huge sell-off.Will most of them lose money?

I think alts prices and Bitcoins price are independent. If people want more BTC then bitcoin price will sharply go up.
In your case, you are asking if alt price will go gown because btc price did. Well my answer is no. I think they both have different factor. And it will always depend on how the market's demand and supply of every alts.
370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall again soon? on: December 04, 2017, 11:54:42 AM
I sold some at 10,900 hoping it will fall again to rebuy in the 9000's as I purchased some around 10,300... Do you guys think another temporary slump will happen soon? Or cut my losses and rebuy now at over 11k?

Great work.
Patience is the key to good trading profit.
Better be sharp, drops are fast to recover because many wanted to buy at a low cost. So in every dump, it's eaten up by users fast.
Analyze the charts very well. Keep on waiting to sell at high and buy when it seems to be already starting to recover.
Sometimes it's hard to be accurate.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sustainability of BTC on: December 04, 2017, 05:37:15 AM
I totally agree. Energy consumption are one of the problem nowadays. We all know that China have banned local exchanges though they have the cheapest electricity bills. I think that is the reason why some miners agreed about forks. Or else no one will mine at all questioning the sustainability of bitcoins.
How Bout countries which has no solutions for such concerns. Like you all call third world countries. Will they just stop ?
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Been Scammed? on: December 04, 2017, 03:41:27 AM
The scam I have experienced is from Sebeum signature campaign. 3 weeks no pay for us. And I thought it was a good campaign and team updating every week. He even notifies us about what we are missing.
Then suddenly he's gone.
I don't know if it was because of greed. Or about the project mainly. It's roadmap is a bit shady, also the profits. More or less I think if it's not the campaign manager, it was the fault of the project team.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Forks are bad for Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2017, 01:05:18 AM
Forks are splitting of bitcoins. These forks intends to change for bigger blocks. I really can't understand why miners agreed to such conditions. I was thinking that maybe it is because everyday it gets harder to mine bitcoins, correct me if I am wrong.

I think bad for bitcoins. It does not only confuses the users , it also gives more reason to worry. The worst thing that I can think of is that with too much alts created, messy, some are treated and maybe used for scam purposes, cryptocurrency and bitcoins reputation will go down that could probably pushes governments to fight against it.

375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS THERE A WAY TO KEEP BITCOIN FROM GOVERNMENTAL CONTROL? on: December 03, 2017, 02:16:08 AM
Well the top post says it all about this site, but why would you really escape the regulation of the government in bitcoin, what if it is for the good? What if it is a sign that the government is accepting the future of the crypto currency?

Speaking of regulations, the Philippines are starting to regulate bitcoin and I think this is one of the recent examples that you need to read.

Yes, securities and exchange commissions are already talking about it but with no specific plans yet.

http://news.abs-cbn.com/business/11/21/17/sec-looks-to-regulate-cryptocurrencies-crowdfunding

I am a bit worried about this, as we experience today, even without the regulations yet it's already very expensive converting BTC to fiat. Remittances have very high fees. I am hoping that crypto will still be worth investing in especially for new investors.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it smart to max out all credit cards months to buy BTC? on: December 03, 2017, 01:05:00 AM
It's not a smart idea mate. It's like you are suggesting to loan money with high interest and invest to btc, in which today's price are ridiculously high. Volality will oy make you worry. And there will be no such sure profits.
I say invest what you can only lose and not by loaning money. Always remember that when you are willing to invest in BTC try to wait for a dip. Assurance of a recovery and a pump will happen.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much higher before the next correction/dip? on: December 02, 2017, 11:48:05 PM
The aggressive increase of bitcoin from $10k-11k already had the correction it needed. Currently, price is $10.9k dollars. Maybe the following corrections will be in every thousand dollar increase. Upon observation, it is mostly the point of correction. So another target spoke is about $12k and correction of about more than 10% by the end of the year. It is just an assumption though.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you sell your Bitcoin at $100,000 or what? on: December 02, 2017, 01:44:18 PM
There is no such thing of a right time to sell bitcoins. But if it can reach that capacity value price I think it can exceed more from that point.
But selling your coins will be depending on circumstances that you are facing, if you have enough in your pocket to spend then hodl your coins more in your wallet. But if not and you have no choice but to sell then maybe cash it out partially. You would not need to sell it all you know. Or if you want try investing to alts that are trusted by the market that is called diversifying.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin drop about 20% after Lloyd Blankfein comments. on: December 01, 2017, 02:47:53 PM
We all know how fraud or FUD affects people psychologically. Personally, I don't know how panic selling can be prevented. People are too afraid of hodling their coins just because somebody says what has been said in a negative way.
What if somebody said they will make bitcoinAss or something and it will rule the cryptoworld. Would they believe such thing ?
People should stop being paranoid sometimes.
380  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Merry Christmas from yahoo62278(3rd prize added) on: December 01, 2017, 08:51:33 AM
I will be starting the story about myself.
I am a nursing student of a college in a province in Marinduque, Philippines. I am about to graduate this coming year and the career I am about to finish is not my first choice but my mother's. I was once an engineering student.
I did not regret any of it. I started and currently loving where I am. The love for life and helping others is truly my passion and my new career developed it more. I love being a nurse.
It's hard studying. Apparently, it's harder to see my parents struggle to find monthly allowances.
I may not be the most deserving winner but I wanted to be one of the lucky person because I want it to be a present for my mother. I think it would be the best gift that I could give her this Christmas. And maybe a wonderful shoes, she never bought anything for herself.

I got into bitcoin because of my friend. I haven't earned much but I can truly say that every cent is worth it.
I started earning with Avirunes management and then secondly, yours. Meeting both of you inspired me because you two were too good and kind. It gave me confidence of continuing what I have started not just for the money but generally, I am loving bitcoin. Confidence because I see many of my fellowmen here in the forum being pushed around about Grammars and what not. I am pretty much hurt too because of the discrimination. I am not to argue. Sometimes mods have the point.
Anyways, I have met more kind managers while hanging around here. And managing the forum seems to be hard and every mods amazes me.
I am wishing for more wonderful persons to keep the forum functioning for years to come.
Thank you and more power to everyone. Good luck and merry Christmas to all. God bless us all.

Thank you for starting this contest.  I was given a chance to say thank you.

If lucky enough. Here is my address.
