361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: February 28, 2024, 08:54:47 AM
Sorry guys I have to make this thread self-moderated to keep spam off from making garbage comments on this thread.

Now my experience today,  so I got my weekly signature payment only stake account few hours ago,  and for some reason, I decided to gamble with it and bet on the Newcastle vs Blackburn rovers and with a draw for the games I chose which gave me an 2.5 odds at the time of staking the bet,  but at the end,  the,  Newcastle first made the first goals score making the match to stand at 1:0 at that point,  I made used of the available cash out which was almost a 60% lose from my initial bet amount,  but then I thought it better than losing all at the end.

Now I staked another bet with my remaining available balance and also I lost the bet and that brought my balance back to zero which means I lost all the money paid to me back to the stake casino, this reality triggered up this question in me.

How do you see losing your payment to the casino?

Do you see losing your payment back to the casino as your own form of indirect support for the project?

Do you think that I already have a bad gambling mindset thinking that by engaging in one or two bets or games I am supporting the project I promote?

This topic is for general discussions,  but I would like to hear and read what those who are promoting casinos/book markers that pay them directly into their casino accounts.

You need to do a thorough vast thinking on your mindset and change it as well, loosing your payment to casino all the time and going back to zero it's not a nice things to say or to be proud of,and also thinking your supporting whatever project or what...
It's so funny to have taught that, what do you stand to gain, please you have to limit gambling for now or even deviate from it entirely because this early outcome it's not helping and if you continue you might loose everything.

You should know the rules of the game and even your dealings with money and pertaining gambling, not  by loosing and thinking afterwards that your promoting or supporting what, ohk what do you gain in return by doing so.just have a U turn now the earlier the better
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 08:46:17 AM
Like you all know, I was an addict before. One thing made me stop. That was when I started to think that gambling is not a way of making money. Instead of me making money, I was losing. I borrowed money to gamble several times. I hardly have money in my bank account at the time. I have not known about cryptocurrencies around the time. When j know that I can not make money from gambling, I stopped after it taking much from me. If an addict can also realize that, he will stop nthe addiction by not gambling for a long time just like I did. But addicted person will always still talk that they see a means of making money.

You are lucky that you come to this awareness before you put yourself into a terrible situation. Meanwhile, a lot of gamblers are still in the dark place as they chase their losses. It really needs self intervention on this phase of your life. Because no one will actually help you in sincere way but your own self.

They need to do a great rethink to themselves so they can get everything fixed up,yes people around can cheer them up inorder to ease the pains they are passing and  moreso when you tell them most times they won't adhere to.
Some of them might still pretend to come out of that predicament and still venture into it again probably we need to put up our possible best in supporting a whole lot of them  that are close to us.

Some might be out of ignorance, peer pressure and all of that they end up becoming addicted and can't come out of it but to every problem there's a way out of it,so criticizing them won't be a better option rather but instead to have them turn a new leaf by encouraging and supporting them both mentally and physically.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 28, 2024, 08:34:48 AM
Gambling can be fun and also become a serious problem if not done appropriately. Alot of gambler get themselves into problem because they gamble anyhow and anytime. There are some times you should take a break in gambling so that you won't become an addict or give yourself problem. Time you shouldn't gamble includes:

👉👉when you are in need of money urgently
Some people gamble the most when they are in need of urgent money. They use the little in their account to gamble believe they can double the money in no time through gambling to do what they want to do. This most times go wrong making them to lose the little they should have save for that purpose

👉👉To regain back your loses
Pursuing loses in gambling make you lose more. So it better to have a break when you have lose alot. That period may not be your own lucky time to win. Taking a break can help you to avoid being addicted and also save you from losing more.

👉👉Under pressure or frustration
Gambling under pressure or frustration may make you go beyond your plan. It can also make you to make wrong decision from your bet. So it's better to do away with gambling during this period.

CONCLUSION
Gambling should be fun, it's better to stay away when it has started to become a problem.

Exactly, and I think you should add that too that when you don't have money you shouldn't gamble.because when you do so you are only creating opportunity for damages, like a gambler in my area that doesn't have a penny seeing his folks going out there to gamble will want to follow suit and join the trend whereas he his empty,so what will become of him.

Then probably if while going to watch them or anything he tends to play and no money thus is when he will be thinking of other directive measures to ascertain that and leading him to steal, borrow, loan from anywhere and even sell his property to gamble. So this should be added as well to let them know what's out there if not just going for the fun .
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: February 28, 2024, 08:27:44 AM
Question: Is there any amount lost that can make you commit suicide?
I was coward to kill myself. No amount of money that I lost that will make me kill myself. If there is life there is hope.

This kind of problem starts from depression and hopelessness. He might thought there is no way out anymore. But this is wrong. He might be richer than what he thought he would have become if he has not killed himself.

It is painful to hear this kind of story.

When I was addicted to gambling, I lost huge amount of money and I was depressed and thought there is no future for me. But I saw more opportunities that I was not expecting after I thought all has ended.

We have the same mantra here, there's hope as long as we are alive.
That's what I keep to myself when everything seems wrong around me.
Though we can't blame some people to take it on their own hand about their fate.
That is true, for sure, he felt, there's no way out anymore on his situation.
We don't know what's going on with his mind but for him, that's his ultimate solution.

It's too painful to hear of such, but no amount of loss can result to me ending my life when I know that there are greater opportunities and things to achieve as well, what do you tend to gain after doing so.
I know that he might be thinking he has lost everything but with time he can still acquire those losses and full up but he decided to take his life,it's so pathetic and a lesson to all those that feels or think there's no way after the loss.

Just yesterday a friend of mine also want to commit suicide in respective of such of loosing such amount and the thing is the money wasn't his own,he thinking that he should use it to gamble and will get a double of it but boom everything crashed,no gain and he messaged me that about his decision to take his life.
I went straight to him and talked to him at length and gave him reason to say he can make it again and after which he felt alot better.
So a great loss is not the end of your Life.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 28, 2024, 08:17:35 AM
After a thorough research, I've come to understand that the history of gambling could be traced far back to the ancient Chinese and was mostly practiced by men cause by then it didn't seem right for women to be involved in such act, Well it wasn't illegal for women but there where more men participating in casinos than women, but change they say is constant and as time passed, women gradually began to participate in the act and I think in the 19th if I'm not mistaken more women began to participate in it and by then a woman called Alice Iver Tubbs, also known as (Poker Alice) became a professional in gambling, history have it that she was very good with poker which led to the name Poker Alice.

However in recent times we're beginning to see more gamblers who are woman emerge and though they're not yet equal to the amount of male gambler, a good amount of women globally have began to pick interest in it, since it's now being socialized, to back that up, I know some of my friends that participate in gambling and even play slot games as well as staking of the UEFA Champions League games, I know a friend who also love to stake on Al-Nassr cause her favourite football celebrity Ronaldo plays for the team. lol I won't also deny that she's gradually luring me into sports betting as well.

Also the rate at which women are now picking interes in gambling is so alarming, there are a good number of female punters on the media with good fanbase and they give good betting advice, we all know that gambling does guarantee 100% success but if you follow their predictions you could get atleast 60 to 70% chances of winning the bet. That's to tell you how well women are now involving in gambling and as time passes there's a tendency for more women to indulge in it as well, since the social media have made gambling more popular and the fact that it involves sporting activities makes that more possible.

It's quite unusual to hear of such about the rate of women interested in gambling, and I think they are going with the saying that "what a man can do,a woman can do more better.
But in this context  it's not gonna work to their own way or plan because even if I want to say it's influence by pere pressure and all of that,it still doesn't make sense or defines anything tangible.

Yeah it's not bad to have fun but you should know the level at which your taking it to,I wouldn't advice any Womsn or siblings of mine to go into such cause I think they are only anxious for nothing.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: February 28, 2024, 08:08:13 AM
Those are immature behaviour of people/gamblers who doesn't want to attest their responsibilities when gambling. These are same people who always regrets their moves and blaming others is their defense mechanism to make them feel good after gambling. This also happens when emotions controls your moves and decisions. In simple terms, these are behaviour of problematic gambler.

Those unlucky one's that put blames on gambling are those ones that  have so much interest in getting money out of it, meanwhile they should have be rest assured and known that gambling is a game of Fun,so you have to Go with the flow.
But if you think aside this there are ways you can make it out, then you probably should bare in mind that alot id coming your way,and you should be ready to face and tackle them.

If you don't really want to just gamble for fun, then stop it entirely, cause not when you think you have put do much energy and time and everything in it and it tends not to come out positive you put up blames, that's where they are all getting it all wrong.
Investment it's quite different from gambling and it shouldn't be placed that gambling is an investment that will profit you later.
367  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: February 27, 2024, 02:21:46 AM
By your definition, I would say I’m a “research investor”, I think you have to first be under the third category before you can work your way up the ladder to be a “wealthy trader”. It’s okay to be skeptical about new investments, even though skepticism may cost you some investments that may turn out to be successful, I believe it’s better to play safe than be sorry. These kind of investors do not fall prey to scams and are very industrious with their money.

There's a saying that knowledge is profitable for all,and to direct.
So long as I know what I want and where I'm going to,I'm definitely not going to scammed in anyway trying to invest in bitcoin.Because it takes so much efforts and time to carefully and decisively draft a good investment option for myself before undergoing the exercise, because investing always comes with big risk to handle. That's why its Advisable to research thoroughly and wisely before committing and handing over funds.
368  Economy / Economics / Re: World changing and those who don't adopt this Will stay poor on: February 27, 2024, 01:58:11 AM
Poverty is still very much a thing that can be incredibly hard to escape, so no, it's not a matter of adaptation to changes.
As for CBDCs, there've been some pilots and there has been some research here and there, but they're very far from getting widespread adoption to worry about them. It's also simply wrong to assume that CBDCs will somehow boost the prices of cryptos because they'll be running on their blockchains or whatever because that's not how these things are done.

The issue of poverty is beyond man and government control because it's natural and can not be completely eradicated not even by crypto adoption and in fact, it's a complex issue that is beyond simple adaptation. This CBDC of a thing that the op is hyping, no one can tell what impact they'll have on the overall economy let alone the crypto space. Certainly, assuming that running a CBDCs on a blockchain will boost the prices of blockchain tokens is not healthy at the moment. By the way, I don't even know the relationship between CBDCs and the crypto price in such context.

Even with the present difficulties that we face, there are people that are very convenient with what they're facing.Crypto adoption can still not proffer solutions to the ongoing poverty. The poverty is from the mind, and whoever has a poor mindset cannot accommodate progress or a good living standard.
If you have a sense of purpose, your journey to financial freedom becomes more focused and its easier to accomplish your goalsfaster. The growth you seek can only come from your capacity, understanding and hardwork. The reality depends you only.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times we will make the same mistake? - History repeats Again & Again! on: February 27, 2024, 01:22:01 AM
I wouldn't say mistake though, some people just don't really like the idea of risking in bitcoin, remember that bitcoin is a volatile investment, much more so than gold and real estate so it really does make a difference why some people still have some doubts. It's also worth noting that along the way in 10 years of hodling bitcoin, there's going to be times when you'll be tempted to sell because bitcoin despite it's volatile nature, growth can still be shown in years so you might not even be getting a full profit out of that in 10 years.

Many people do not invest in the crypto market because they fear that they could get hacked and their personal and financial data will be stolen. They fear that the level of cryptocurrencies fraud and thefs is increasingly inevitable for them.
Investing in cryptocurrency in general is a good idea, but if you are on the right path and with the right platform. Some people, after so much displayed fear and anxiety, they finally invest in bitcoin,as they think, but unfortunately end up investing in the wrong bitcoin.
Recently, people who were scared of cryptocurrencies have now begun investing in them.Me I'll advice people to always make your own  research before delving into the cryptospace to invest,no matter the fears, the important thing is having and knowing the right information to begin.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Relationship Between Cryptocurrency and Traditional Banking on: February 27, 2024, 12:58:55 AM
Cryptocurrencies are not threats to traditional banks. Many countries banned bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies in the past but after some of them are knowing about what cryptocurrencies are, they unban them. Since today, all countries that accept cryptocurrencies and the ones that are very friendly with them have no problem, there banking sector has no problem. You can even see in those countries that some banks are allowed to hold coins and tokens for their customers. Banks can even embrace cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrency are not threats to the banking system, they are simply existing predominantly and making lasting changes in the history of economics just to promote financial stability.

The only threats that I see as a threat is that traditional banking system are scared of losing their large generation of customers in the hands of crypto assets, because they feel that they are investing huge sum of money into cryptocurrency and that way there're promoting the growth and stability of crypto assets.

With reference to information and news content drawn,a recent study by Piplsay shows that 38% of Gen X, 49% of Millennials and 13% of Gen Z own cryptocurrencies.Gen Z is relatively obsessed or connected with cryptocurrencies, that is to say banks are gradually losing their leading roles,as in an important leading role to the crypto industry.
Although it doesn't really seem like a threat, but all of these are challenges that the banks will need to face and overcome.
371  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: February 27, 2024, 12:28:40 AM
Education is key,but its not the pathway to achieve succes. There're so many ways to achieve success, success in general means different thing to different people, and having good grades does not contribute to your success at all and that's a misconception that you'll should never believe.
Having good grades is just a feeling that someone should have/know,and there are many factors that can determine ones Success in life ranging from dedication, self discipline, intelligence, perseverance and determination e.t.c.So many successful people in life we're not able to finish college, but they became successful afterwards and that's because there's a difference between an intelligent person and an intellectual being, and the difference is visibly clear, its about the creativity and uniqueness that someone possess.
Academic performance cannot be measured in the real world pertaining to success or achievement and let's all be realistic about the situation. The important is let everybody strive hard in whatever that they do,work hard, and develop themselves in ways that can make them useful and productive to themselves.
The world needs problem solvers, and Its not the one with the degree;its the one with the knowledge and skills that comes first in life.Having the degree might seem and sound very huge but what your creativity, mindset, mentality and intellect carries, can be out of this world.
372  Economy / Economics / Re: Recession soon? on: February 26, 2024, 09:18:45 AM
People might be aware that some of the esteemed and largest organisations are laying off their employees left right and centre, are we heading into recession? Because I have seen my colleagues getting laid off and it's been months they are unable to find a job. Either we are heading towards recession or globally companies overhired the employees post COVID hence clearing the additional manpower. I am bit convinced that it's like recession sort of thing and not sure to over hiring. Share your thoughts on this crisis which has left a good amount of people without any work.

Recession Soon??
We all know what a recession is,and we are already in a recession. Some of the challenges that we're having now is as a result of the last recession that we all witnessed;we were all affected by the trials of the worlds economic/financial crisis.Recession is a devastating and depressing entity entirely to live in.The last recession was a big mess to us,I mean all round big mess.Even after the recession was over, the recovery was taking too long and economical weakness has not still left the surface of the worlds economy.
There have only been few times I've heard about the economical growth to be moderate and accurate.Even so,unemployment rates has increased and some financial firms and organization that seem to be in charge to restore or support the jeopardizing situation have also collapsed.
We're already in a recession, and the worst of what we're going through right now can occur in no short time.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do cryptocurrency increase the standard of living on: February 26, 2024, 02:30:04 AM
Knowing fully well that there is so many uneducated people around the world, how can cryptocurrency increase the standard of living

It does'nt really change ones standard of living,it puts you in charge of your finances,by influencing every penetration from the bank. The main goal of bitcoin is that it guarantees you an opportunity that you can't get anywhere.
Been in the cryptospace is worth the decision and journey.Bitcoin and the blockchain system expands your knowledge/interest,provides greater chances to have financial independence and growth.

There are so many other ways to improve ones standard of living, bitcoin is more like a second chance or choice to attain or activate a comfortable experience.Even the uneducated can benefit from bitcoin, but its not really everyone that can handle the technological chances of cryptocurrencies to achieve something.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and people knowledge on: February 25, 2024, 11:52:30 AM
That's true. They say they don't know bitcoin but they don't know what FIAT currency is too. The worst part is, they don't know what they don't know. They think they do... They are half-ignorant which is the worst kind of ignorance. It is because they will refuse to get educated even though they don't know shit. The good news is, bitcoin doesn't care what they think or do. When the time is right, they will have to learn what bitcoin is about. People didn't believe in cars too back in the day. Now nobody is riding horses anymore.
Humans are mainly obsessed with what they see physical or what they where born into, that is the reason Bitcoin is most likely adopted by the young ones. Most of this people still believe there is nothing like Bitcoin since it is nothing physical and getting to find out the person behind Bitcoin has remained anonymous upto this date this will cause them to avoid by all means yet we can term it ignorance.
They are so interested in shorter and quicker methods to make money.People like shortcut and they believe that nothing seems to come out of bitcoin. They just choose to be reluctant and hesitate on a life changing opportunity that seems easy.
Bitcoin is one of the easiest business to embark on compared to what is in circulation presently yet people find it difficult to acquaint themselves with bitcoin systems.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing on: February 25, 2024, 11:01:51 AM
Politicians are really hard to understand they can change everything for their own benefit. Donald Trump may be thinking of a new strategy as Bitcoin continues to spread around the world. Seeing crypto flourish so much may have Donald Trump changing his stance on crypto, selling NFTs and planning more crypto-friendly policies if re-elected. Trump is now personally investing in digital assets and exploring their political power. His latest embrace comes as Republicans make a broad overture to the crypto community, drawing libertarian donors while portraying Democrats as heavy-handed regulators as his chance to win anew.
Politicians are very cunny and manipulative,he is just trying to seek attention and favour from cryptonians.Maybe he could be thinking that if he tries to support bitcoin and its activities,he's going to get more fame and promote uncountable votes to himself.Politicians can never get tired of enacting false manifestos.
Even if its for once, his position cannot determine the adoption of bitcoin, with or without his consent bitcoin progresses.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: February 25, 2024, 10:41:27 AM
I don’t know to what extent my occupation can be classified as a skill, but the ability to sell people a product is probably something that I am constantly improving. Many materials allow you to regularly learn and improve good sales, so much so that if a person comes to a store to buy a belt, an experienced salesman will persuade him to buy a suit to go with the belt.
We should not stop learning; the more we can learn new material, the more in demand we will be in the future.

It's not just degree alone, skill too is important. The question is do you really need a degree?
The great people from history were all skilled people.According to Elon Musk,"Don't confuse schooling with education,I didn't go to Harvard but the people working for me did.
A degree has its reputation, but having a skill is super exciting. It depends on what suits your talents, personality and passion.I've not really thought about what to learn but I'm working hard to embrace one and stick to it outside this cryptospace.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: How many Branches of Economics is there? on: February 25, 2024, 10:18:01 AM
There are two main branches of economics, microeconomics, and macroeconomics. Microeconomics deals with the behavior of individual relationship with the government and how that behavior is influenced by government. Macroeconomics is concerned with economical factors such as inflation, unemployment, taxes, politics business and law,and overall economic growth.

I think bitcoin is supereconomical because eversince its existence, bitcoin is solving issues and making our financial activities seemingly easy and accessible, making it a huge influence on the economy and promoting financial independence. The factors of microeconomics in proportion to bitcoin's existence is visibly clear. The system paves way for a better financial security and control instead of depending on an institute like the bank, the users are able to access their money through the blockchain system which is designed to be unhackable.
The relationship between the individuals and their finance is accurate and definite.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS on: February 25, 2024, 08:59:16 AM
Poverty eradication can be held or seen in different forms.Poverty entails more than the lack of income and productive resources to ensure sustainable livelihoods. They include hunger and malnutrition, inadequate access to good education and lots more.
Poverty in this 21st century should be eradicated individually and not otherwise.Even with the information/Education that they have living their desired lifestyle seems difficult for them. The solution is right with us;no one is coming to fix your life for you.
Once you've found another means of living well, you can obviously connect to whatever it is you want to achieve without having interest on the governments method.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: How can it be possible coping with one source of income on: February 24, 2024, 09:34:00 PM
Through out last year I find it hard to get things done with funds despite how my earning was and I find it hard to spend more on my bills around me , though I have been seeing some humans earning and paying bills with one source of income and I do ask myself how is it done

please your advice will be of help

Having only one source of income can be threatening to someone's financial security and financial wellbeing at large. For instance,if you lose your job unexpectedly or your facing several shotings/cut from your pay,it can rub you off your financial plans and disappoint you deeply with so much inconvenience.
Some people finds it difficult to cope while some typically live well with one flowing source of income.Nevertheless,I think it depends on the financial plans or criteria that they choose to operate and adhere to.And here comes the 50-30-20 rule. The rule simplifies you put 50%of your money towards needs,30% towards wants, and 20% towards savings. The 50-30-20 rule is just a better option to guarantee you that you're on track with your spendings and likewise your lifestyle.
Never depend on your single income, make enquiries to make/create a second source of income. If it will be too difficult, consult a professional financial planner for yourself and seek professional financial advice to avoid further mishaps.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ? Lega Serie A ?? (Italian League) Prediction Thread 2023/2024? on: February 23, 2024, 06:12:20 PM
Recovering is still possible for Juventus but still things like this are not as easy as turning the palm when looking at the condition of Juventus from the start of the season until now it is very visible that their shortcomings are not from a bad midfield or defence but indeed their attack line sometimes does not have good goal productivity because some of the strikers they currently have are less able to maximise the opportunities they have.

Juventus is 9 points behind Inter Milan, I don't see how they can recover to top that. Even if they hit top form now, Inter would be required to drop 9 points before they can take over. We all know that's not going to happen because Inter is currently one of the most in-form teams in Europe as it stands.

The recovery Juventus can make now is to make sure they don't drop further below because they're just 2 points ahead of Milan.
The attack doesn't work well, but that's not the only problem of the team. The midfield too doesn't work well. In some games, they struggle to keep the ball.
I applaud Juventus for how far they've come from last season though.

Not possible even if Inter Milan lose form they will try to win this league competition at the end of this season.  Juventus initially never had plans of becoming league winners.all they wanted was to  finish at a good spot in the league standings and here they are currently doing well with that motives.
Juventus  will not drop off the second position,  Ac Milan are chasing them over the past few weeks they have been playing. They put up a good fight but it is looking like they will not want the manager for next season.
