That statement is highly debatable and I personally don't believe it is overpopulated, its wealth is just distributed incorrectly. But yeah essentially blockchain could serve as a means of birth control... but no I don't think it is acceptable for people to have this authority over other peoples life. If we really want to assert this authority why don't we start with the monetary system and how things work in the world today as they are. I think that be smarter, and maybe in 50-100 years with a serious effort we will have an educated planet where the idea of overpopulation is as popostourus as the earth being flat.
