361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP LUNA & UST ! Is USDD be same like that.. on: May 11, 2022, 05:53:38 PM
What happened to LUNA and UST today is a good example of how no stablecoins is reliable, especially algorithmic ones that are backed by a native token. Now other similar scenarios could happen with other stablecoins. For example, Tron foundation said they will allocate $2 billion to support USDD, due to today's LUNA events.

It can happen with any stable coin not only with algorithmic ones, we have witnessed price of USDT declined to $0.57 in the past so every stable coin is vulnerable. I think we should hold mix of all stable coins including USDC which is considered most secure because it is  redeemable on a 1:1 basis for US dollars, backed by dollar denominated assets held in segregated accounts with US regulated financial institutions.

https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/getting-started/crypto-education/usd-coin-usdc-faq
FUD news about stable coins can make them lose value in a short amount of time but the case of Terra backed up by Luna is different. I totally agree no stable coins are true to its 1:1 peg all time, 24/7 but Terra with unrealistic algorithmic between its stable coin and Luna is completely stupid. This is just the start of overhype coins that think they can start to mint their own stable coin which is even more unreliable than stable coins that promise the real USD or by exchanges.
362  Economy / Gambling / Re: I miss the old OnChain gambling on: May 11, 2022, 05:11:41 PM
Now you mentioned, I remember there was a site that pays satoshi on click and view website they want to advertise. Yup, the kind of PTC that was popular back then but this one pays in satoshi and has some casino games so you can gamble on your earnings at there as well. I think they also did give out 1 unique address to users without any reg account, allowing users to deposit more money if they think they are on roll without any hassle.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: May 10, 2022, 05:15:33 PM
Within a week the price of automatic drop significant from $ 1.5 is now $ 0.94, now matic is my biggest asset so I lose a lot of money, of course it is a difficult choice to continue to hold or sell, if the price of bitcoin drops below $ 30k many experts believe we will experience trends like 2018.
I believe that the recent drop of matic was due to the fact that bitcoin is also dumping, probably matic might not reach $20 per coin for now but it definitely gonna reach $3-5 in few years to come, if you are already in loss the best thing to do is just to hold onto your coin don't sell at loss, it's so certain that matic will bounce back, a very fast and cheaper chain to use, definitely it will worth it in years to come

Not now but still possible, the entire market is still moving down and that influence the most.

Investors are still observing whether the dump will continue or another pump will happen and bring the hypes. For now, if you
do believe that matic will increase back, best to buy and hold and keep holding your investment.

Don't take the risk if you are unsure or if you are not ready to lose. The market is wild with this volatile nature you need to
work deeper to handle the pressures.
Yeah, cashing out MATIC right now just because the whole market is going down isn't going to help. MATIC will never be outdated as long as systems like ETH and bsc keep evolving, and moving up the chain. Eventually, they will have to leave spots for MATIC as their system will be overpopulated, and new projects have to migrate down to keep up with the network's fee and this will be the time for MATIC holders.
364  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: May 10, 2022, 04:46:48 PM
Although I understand the frustration of the Ukrainian people and other countries suffering under this kind of invasion 'special military operation' but banning Russian gambling platforms is a long stretch and these sites have nothing to Russia govt. Sure, you might say since the Russian people didn't protest against Putin's govt actions so they might take the blames too. Will you, put your hatred at any Russian people to satisfy your thirst for revenge, even for blood? Bombing them, killing them just because they are Russian? Even kid to old babushkas? So no one is innocent in war then? Please understand this only breed more hatred and harder to end this invasion. Just think a bit harder before making this kind of thread.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra USD, proved its not a stablecoin on: May 10, 2022, 04:21:44 PM
Of course, it going to fall. I've nothing against LUNA, heck I even make some good profit from its system. But the UST peg after LUNA was bound to fall just like this. So much for the decentralization when only stable coins like USDT fare better even if some doubt its ability to back 1:1 with USD. Hope a lot of you learn a lesson about what kind of stable coins WORK when the market is in panic mode.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any Bounty who is giving Big Reward. on: May 09, 2022, 06:22:33 PM
I don't think you can earn big reward from bounty anymore cause crypto is already saturated, very rare that a new crypto project makes a 10x jump when its first listed on the exchange after the bounty end. Hence, noway your earnings can jump to 10x, becoming a big reward. So you will have to stay with the same fixed rate for bounty works across many crypto projects which is just so-so for your efforts.
367  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: May 09, 2022, 05:28:19 PM

Although the signup bonus seems to be able to attract players to register, users still have to be careful because many new casino sites provide sign up bonuses but with applicable conditions. We may often see some users have problems with the signup bonus where after they get it and use it to play some games and can win it, the casino immediately proposes some conditions that must be met by the user. In this case, the user will feel fooled by the casino for not knowing the applicable provisions. Therefore, be careful if you want to look for sign-up bonuses.

Recently, I found out that Bitlucy which is a new casino gambling platform in the forum made an announcement for their online games which has I also registered https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5395791.0 and $10 free bonus was given to each user that registered with them to play Games in their platform. But you can not withdraw the $10, you can only use to play game. Their are some or all the platforms always give terms and conditions for the bonuses. I do not think that casino gambling sites will allow a player to withdraw the bonus without playing any game. Some sites even give conditions for withdrawal. If you did not have a specific amount of money in your account, you can not withdraw it.

So with that, some players will play like 3 or 4 times before they can withdraw the win. Sign up bonuses are just a bait for greedy casino gambling games players. If you really want to play Gamble remove your mind from bonuses.
To be fair, some of those restrictions are well-thought since they don't want users to abuse and start reg up a bunch of accounts just for free $10 on the signup bonus. Of course, they're casino gambling websites, they can only make the money if you start playing their game. You have to prove that you're worthwhile if you want that free bonus on the house. Not just sign up, take the money and just leave the site. Too many restrictions, though, then like you said, likely trying to set up users for information or force them to play the games, wasting money on just the promise of earning $10 free. That's why I also didn't fall for those bonuses when gambling sites did it.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron (TRX) Discussion on: May 09, 2022, 05:12:01 PM
The comparison is very wrong of course, because the current level of TRON is very far when compared to ethereum, but for updates I think it is only natural because both have been very long in the crypto world of course this must be done, but until now TRON has not been able to fully affect crypto users so the value is very difficult to continue to increase, but very much the difference with ethereum although the update is not yet fully applicable but ethereum enthusiasts are getting higher.
so far the development of tron is quite good, this is an old coin that still survives and shows improvement even though it is not as good as ethereum and bnb. I personally often use tron for the transfer process because it has a low fee. Technically, tron actually has touched strong support, and is currently starting to fly, unfortunately bitcoin developments don't support it, so tron follows suit
It's kinda weird that TRX got overshadowed by ETH and BNB but they're actually decent in terms of development and partnership. Like you guys said, not at the ETH level for now but that is the part that makes holding TRX quite speculative so we can sell the news on the next update or partnership deal. The recent pump shows it clearly.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does staking even make any sense on: May 08, 2022, 05:12:59 PM
Staking's rate is that low because it was meant for stable coin or USDT, dude. You may see it very low compared to other crypto staking and apy rate and think it's kind of shitty but ever why are investors still staking with that rate? Cause it's safe and legit from the Binance exchange and is better than the interest rate in fiat banks so I don't think you should consider it lightly.

371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ban on Binance Futures on: October 26, 2021, 07:18:55 PM
Binance did increase their security a lot over time. I use to have one alt Binance account. I didn't use it at all and it was fine but somehow recently, Binance flagged it to be locked if I can't verify and KYC it. I think even if you got past the VPN and can use Binance Futures normally, you're at serious risk of losing your account at any time. Totally not worth and you should move on or find an alternative exchange to use.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: October 21, 2021, 08:29:57 PM
Wondering about the meaning of the Bancor Logo?

https://twitter.com/Bancor/status/1451102801736654852?s=20
Simplify Bancor in a B word logo? The color scheme is also a bit dull in my opinion.
Anyway, great news for the pool. 1000% growth in liquidity in under 24 hours is a very impressive number.
373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I lost my UST in kucoin exchange on: October 21, 2021, 08:06:45 PM
Hello everybody, Yesterday i did a transaction betweens Terra station app and kucoin exchange, i sent 10 ust from terra station app to Kucoin exchange but i don’t know that why i still not received my UST in exchange.
i don't know if someone already said this but kindly check your transaction history and see if they confirmed you request.. If yes maybe you have errors especially when it comes your destination address.  and for that concerned you should contact the support and provide screen shots for reference so that they can fix your problem if there's still a chance.. Because you know mate if they already  confirmed it and you put  a wrong address it's impossible to recover but just try it.
Yeah, I think he might didn't authorize the transaction so it simply still waiting for the cofirmation/authorization. Some exchanges have a warning if you use the wrong network address for the recipient too.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: October 21, 2021, 06:56:13 PM
We all know that long term investment in Bitcoin is reasonable but how reasonable do you think long term investment in Altcoins is?
I think long-term investment in Altcoins is full of risks but short time investment is more profitable. Do you agree with me?
They're full of risk and that's true. I agree to you and there are only a few altcoins that I'm considering long term. One is Ethereum and that's the one altcoin that I have on my stash.
It's very likely that everyone should hold it so that you'll be able to adopt the updates that are about to happen for it. You don't wholly invest that you have in many altcoins, full diversification isn't recommended if your goal is long term.
Agree, many alts have to stay in the market longer with a lot of updates, increments to be seen as truly a long term investment. Because when it has come to that point, even if they have risks, their risk is lower and the coin won't be gone in a short amount of time.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New best altcoin on: October 21, 2021, 03:44:41 PM
And the op even refer to it as "new best altcoin" it seems he has no idea what that sentence means, for an altcoin to be regarded as best means it has all the potential of a top altcoin with solid partnership and strong community support, clearly the op is just here to promote a pump and dump project, this type of project are risky investment, they are not worth the risk.
He clearly just wants to shill a new altcoin and use the word 'best' as the way to attract people. I'm also in the same boat with you. New altcoins need to prove that they are legit first before anything else, much less than a 'new best'. Promising, yes but not the best altcoin with anything 'new' in it.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MEME coins are good to invest? on: October 20, 2021, 06:34:42 PM
Meme coins are no longer a good investment, meme coins are also a short-term trend in the market and it is over. All the meme tokens are dead because they have almost no utility at all and value to the market. Next hype is NFT , I think mate should switch to NFT as it is growing and bring profits to investors.
I said both have their thing for this year as both still growing strong. While NFTs are more like a long tern investment but slowly build up, memecoins on the other hand like a short term investment, quickly pump but easily lose all of it. There were no good or bad, just investments and trying to weigh the risk and profit to make a sound decision.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins to buy with 200$ on: October 20, 2021, 05:24:04 PM
Put your money (which is very small) into any memecoins right now as they're in the trend. Though I said any memecoins, well you should really only put your money in the best of memecoins that you found. Give you a better chance for that $200 would pay off.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Shiba Inu Coin a better investment than Dogecoin? on: October 20, 2021, 05:21:44 PM
I personally don't like Shiba Inu better than Dogecoin. Dogecoin has been in the market for a long time. This currency is listed on many large exchanges. Currently, Dogecoin has reached another height. In the future, we may see Dogecoin on a larger platform
You have to see this way: many investors have bought Doge at close @0.2-0.3
Anytime it up to 2x that price will trigger a massive dump because people already see profit in that, no matter it was early profit. This way, the chance Doge have more gains, 3x or 4x very low compare to the relatively young and upstart memecoin like SHIBA.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT a trustable? on: October 19, 2021, 06:28:50 PM
I've been in crypto since 2016 and during that time the usdt lost in its price at the first rumors of trials and then returned to its peg. The other day there was a trial where they finally dropped all charges against Tether a small fine is all they were able to charge in the end. The unpleasant residue in the end did not go away but in the use and implementation of their product is one of the best on the market right now.
New crypto users don't know about the USDT's crash and it's trial. It still shows how much unreliable the USDT was and the reason why many new stablecoin players come to the market. I think in the end, it was really up to users to actually trust which stablecoin and use it. For me, I don't trust USDT at all and have been moved in BUSD.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC halving party is over, MASS PoC takes you back to ten years ago on: October 19, 2021, 05:59:09 PM
Price of MASS is gaining momentum and hopes are that in days to come its price will go up.
There are not much options available for new miners, MASS is a good opportunity for those who looking to mine something on there computers.
No new miner in MASS since the early mining phase has been long gone. Now it become hard for any new miners as the price of MASS ain't high as it use to be. Either they decide to be in MASS because they really think the coin recovery or truly has nowhere to go.
