362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoins one day replace other forms of money? on: October 08, 2017, 01:05:40 PM
As we have seen so far Bitcoin is a form of currency that has a bright future and that's something that makes it possible for it to replace if not all at least some other type of money out there. If not replace it can at least, with proper investments and movements, take it's spot as another currency that could potentially be used in the money transactions as any other form of money.
if bitcoin makes other money, it would be a problem in terms of its own economy, which makes Bitcoin and the like judged unsuitable for currency. This is due to the fact that Bitcoin's supply is limited, in contrast to reprinted banknotes with serious observations by the central bank
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: October 08, 2017, 12:50:12 PM
Gold in general is no better. The value of gold is nothing more than a result of a global consensus - at the moment everyone agrees to consider gold a measure of value, simply because this measure is in some form or another necessary. If we assume a utopian situation, that tomorrow everyone agrees that gold is not such a measure, then it will be good only for the production of quality wires and trinkets.
The btc is gaining momentum for exactly the same reason - the global consensus towards the btc is constantly being strengthened. In this case, unlike gold, the cue-ball is not only a measure of value, but also a settlement system, and gold is not a competitor for this parameter.
Gold is a very strong brand. People who want to be respected tend to wear gold. Look at the US president. Over the centuries, gold means something fancy. Gold is valuable in every culture. Bitcoin, on the contrary, is a bad brand. A terrible brand actually. We do not know who founded it. Besides having a selling point, gold is also a tool for decoration, so it will never be replaced gold with anything
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hotels accepting bitcoin on: October 08, 2017, 10:24:39 AM
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/4a0b16dd-6783-4dac-9fa0-76e923c9a774

According to this link, a bloomberg news site, it was mentioned that there are two hotels in LAS Vegas that accepts bitcoin as payment for hotels, food and drinks. If you want to visit this place as a tourist or to gamble and you happened to lost your money to gambling you can always use you stored bitcoins to get a room to sleep and relax and enjoy the food and booze.
Bitcoin payments are easier than credit or debit cards, and can be accepted without a seller account. Payments made through the wallet application, both on the computer and ponsel.akan very elite and practical if there is a hotel that can receive payment with bitcoin
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? on: October 08, 2017, 08:14:16 AM
is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins? anyhow this money sits in the bank and do nothing for!

Yes, it's risky to turn all your money into bitcoin. Bitcoin is volatile and if you know what you are entering you understand the risk that you'll be taking. And if your money is just staying in the bank and earning with a very low interest better to take the risk in bitcoin by buying at dip and wait for it to grow. The profit in bitcoin may grow in lesser time than your expectation. More risk, more profit but invest only what you afford to lose.

if the problem of risk is definitely there. if I was better off holding real money security, more guarantee, because I was afraid of what happened to James Howells also happened to me
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Created Bitcoin ? on: October 07, 2017, 12:57:24 PM
I know you will tell me is Satoshi Nakomoto, in fact it`s not true. The only true is the username.

All technology what ordinary people use today was designed for military purposes.

EG : CPU, Digital Camera, GPS, Internet....

Maybe Blockchain was designed for this purposes olso ?

What do you think about that ?
Satoshi Nakamoto but still a mystery. Some researchers try to uncover the secret behind the name and just find a dead end. Even though he had been asked to become a billionaire because of his bitcoin transaction, the owner of the name Satoshi Nakamoto never showed his true identity

368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: October 06, 2017, 04:28:35 AM
Weeks ago, I am discussing Bitcoin to my sister and my future brother-in-law (then) When they got married recently, both of them were unemployed and have been trying to get a job immediately after their marriage. Up until now they have no luck. My sister then decided to talk to me about how do I earn Bitcoins. I gladly explained it to her and then she decided to do it too. She was so happy that she is already earning bitcoin and had some extra budget while they are both unemployed. And now, she is so eager to learn more how to earn more coins.

Being unemployed drove her into engaging to Bitcoins. Maybe some people are like this. They grab Bitcoin when they are in need of money. And since that these people are now engaged in Bitcoin, I am sure that they will stay in Bitcoin and treat it as an investment even though they will have a decent paying jobs in the future.
very supportive once, because every person must have a lot of needs and needs and even then must be fulfilled such as daily needs. stepping with bitcoin is the most appropriate way for the unemployed
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: October 06, 2017, 04:08:00 AM

What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?
simple, for me BTC is a job that when people are confused in finding a very income-generating job for a daily needs most importantly very easy to use

371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: October 05, 2017, 06:25:07 AM
Bitcoin is something radically new. Nothing like Bitcoin has been possible until now. I would go so far as to consider it sui generis; "in its own class".  This makes it important to understand what Bitcoin actually is before we try to describe it to others.

We're getting a good handle on the code, and of course on Bitcoin's function and utility, but what words should we use to describe Bitcoin itself? There has been some debate in other threads [mostly my doing] over how it is like/not like money, cash, dollars, etc. I'd like to start this thread by focusing on the term "money", and play Devil's avocate by asking for your best arguments that Bitcoin IS money.

My legal dictionary states "In usual and ordinary acceptation it [money] means gold, silver, or paper money, used as circulating medium of exchange, and does not embrace notes, bonds, evidences of debt, or other personal or real estate." [cites omitted]

Wikipedia says "Money is any object that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country or socio-economic context. The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange; a unit of account; a store of value; and, occasionally, a standard of deferred payment." [cited omitted]

Webster's Online Dictionary defines money as:
    • 1. The most common medium of exchange; functions as legal tender; "we tried to collect the money he owed us".
    • 2. Wealth reckoned in terms of money; "all his money is in real estate".
    • 3. The official currency issued by a government or national bank; "he changed his money into francs".
    • 4. A piece of metal, as gold, silver, copper, etc., coined, or stamped, and issued by the sovereign authority as a medium of exchange in financial transactions between citizens and with government; also, any number of such pieces; coin.
    • 5. Any written or stamped promise, certificate, or order, as a government note, a bank note, a certificate of deposit, etc., which is payable in standard coined money and is lawfully current in lieu of it; in a comprehensive sense, any currency usually and lawfully employed in buying and selling.
    • 6. In general, wealth; property; as, he has much money in land, or in stocks; to make, or lose, money.
    [links omitted]
    [/list]

I maintain that per these definitions, Bitcoin cannot possibly be described as "money". And further, I think that those who do describe Bitcoin as "money" are doing this community a disservice.

But that is just my point of view. Are there any that can convincingly argue otherwise, that Bitcoin IS money?

Bitcoin is a digital currency that is not tied to a bank or government and allows its users to shop without revealing their true identity
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: October 05, 2017, 05:59:28 AM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.
all can be done with bitcoin in all purposes because bitcoin is a digital money that can be in exchange for cash if we already have us free want whatever good happy happy and other goals
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: October 04, 2017, 06:59:57 AM
Never bought drugs not with Bitcoin and not with cash and not with anything else however and for what comes to my thoughts I thinks Silk road and this kind of  markets on the deep-web that sells drugs for BTC is the reason people aren't joining Bitcoin community , I mean the media like to point to this kind of stuff and this is bad , same goes for adult content website I assume .
bitcoin can be used to buy anything not just to buy drugs as long as the store can receive payments with bitcoin to buy pulses was now easier with bitcoin
