361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beirut explosion - Lesson to learn from this. on: August 06, 2020, 02:16:49 AM
People can quickly become complacent to think that their single location storage of their Bitcoin hoard would be enough. We all saw how 300 000 people have lost their houses in as little as a few seconds.

The Beirut explosion should be a wake-up call to all of us, to store your Paper wallets and cold wallets in more than one geographical location. A national disaster or a accident like this might wipe out your house and if you used that as your primary hiding place, you would lose more than your house.

After a disaster like this, bulldozers are brought in and only the foundations might be left after they are done. (So hiding it in a safe or a wall or the roof is a bad idea.)

Make sure you have several copies of your Paper wallets/Private keys and store them in separate locations. You might not even be at home when a disaster like this happens and when you return, the authorities might stop you from entering the devastated area. (due to instability of structures or chemical/gas leaks.) So you will not have a opportunity to retrieve your stash.

Wake up and act now... before it is too late.  Wink
Since bitcoin has a lot of users now, if everyone of us donates our one day income to that incident we can help them to recover easily. If an activity like this happens, Bitcoin will be having a big reputation on that country and might end up making Bitcoin a legalized coin on their country. It will also help the Bitcoin to occur the mass adaptation that all of us is waiting for. We can also help our co-users from that country because they are also helping us to have a good value of Bitcoin.
362  Other / Meta / Re: [GAME] Bitcointalk game on: July 07, 2020, 10:58:43 AM
This is a great site that can motivate every one of crypto currency users because they can test their self if they are ready to do crypto currency and if they have enough knowledge about crypto currency because other users always taught that they already know a lot of things in crypto currency but they really have no knowledge about it and if they enter crypto currency, the investment they've done will turn into stone that might end up they having a disappointment in crypto currency. If something like that happens a lot of times, the mass adaptation we are waiting will be having a difficult times to occur.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: June 30, 2020, 01:02:33 PM
With no doubt, blockchain is one of the best careers one can pursue at the time. It is highly in demand and you get to be a part of something big. Not to mention, you will get high salaries in these top blockchain careers. It is due to the fact that the need for such positions are high and the people with relative knowledge are less. Among all the jobs required in the field, only half of them are being met. This means that there’s a shortage of blockchain professional with sufficient technical knowledge.

If we talk about top blockchain jobs salary, it depends on various factors like where you are working, what’s your skill sets and how much you are experienced. As a blockchain developer, you can get from as low as $50,000 to as high as $120,000 per year. Mostly, if you work in startups, you won’t get sky-high salaries and their packages typically start from 50,000 USD for freshers. If you have experienced above 5 years, you can earn around $70,000 annually.

Next comes the high techs firms that offer the highest salaries in the field. Initially, you can earn around $70,000 which increases with experience and after five years you can get as high as $120,000. The reason for such a big gap between the salaries of startups and established tech firms is due to the fact that blockchain developers are more interested in starting their own firms rather than working for others.

At last but not least, comes jobs at government institutions. You might not get the best salaries here but as you know govt. Jobs have their own benefits. The salary packages offered at govt. Institutions are even less than startup firms.
Any opportunities us a good career but it depends on you if you are going to work hard or not because if you work hard, you will surely be having a good career but if you just do it as fun and you don't out your best, it will surely ruin your life. Actually, blockchain is a good opportunity for all of us because it can give you a big income without having a hard job and if we use it wisely, it will surely give us a good result that might end us up getting attracted to it.

364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia post office now accepts Bitcoin on: June 30, 2020, 12:17:01 PM
It looks like the massive adoption of Bitcoin has begun in Australia. The Aussie citizens can now deposit BTC at the post office due to the collaboration of Bitcoin.com.au and 3,500+ post offices in Australia.

What do you think of this move guys? Do you think other countries would follow suit? Or are there other countries before Australia who have implemented this in their own post offices as well?

This was posted by CoinTelegraph: https://cointelegraph.com/news/australians-can-now-pay-for-bitcoin-at-the-post-office

I would love to see it being implemented in the Philippines as well in the near future.
Crypto currency in Australia is now legal and we can expect to it that it will be having a big improvement in many factors of being a rich country. The first factor that can be affected by crypto currency is their financial system because their currency can be replaced by crypto currency so that they don't need to waste a lot of materials to make a paper money. Second is their way of living because trading will be an option for them if they don't want to take job outside of their house and the crypto community there will be bigger than before.

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't hate long term promotions on: May 27, 2020, 11:42:06 AM
I'm here to talk about bounties with long duration, I know we all have our experience with short term bounties and long term bounties but I have come to understand that it doesn't matter, here is my own experience
Last year I promoted E3T bounty project for 4weeks duration and I earned 30$
In 2018 I promoted Airwallet for more than 14 weeks and I earned over a thousand dollar

Durations doesn't matter, small duration bounties can pay high rewards and long duration bounties can pay worse rewards, it's all vice versa, what matters is the quality of the project you promote
Yes I think that you are right because sometimes I think that it is great to have patience and wait for long term promotions here in cryptocurrencies because I think that it will be great if people would understand that it is best to have long term promotions too because they can earn more than the short term but you need to have patience because money will not come that quickly to you and you need to understand that you will be earning so much from cryptocurrencies if you have patience on your mind always and I think that it is great to know long term promotions and its difference with short term promotions
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: TRUSTED PROJECT BOUNTY OR JUST SCAM ? on: May 25, 2020, 07:40:46 AM
Talking about bounties in a project, now I have not participated in bounties for a number of years, I think there are things I want to ask about and maybe you can share them here according to your experience. how do you think for the moment determine whether the bounty of the project is good and will be successful in the future?
and in your experience do you have a recommendation that the bounty manager team is indeed very good? share your experience here, it might be useful for me and other people.
Yes I think that you are right and I think that it is great to know first if a bounty is a Scam because mainly bounties is not that trusty and it can be also a scam and you will be wasting your time earning here in bounties because they will not pay your for your work and I think that it is bad because you are getting scammed by them here and that is not great because if it is a Scam your efforts will be a complete waste and I think that it is sad because bounties are created to help people earn more and not to scam people and stole their money tsht they worked so hard for to earn it.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Resist all temptation to fomo on: May 23, 2020, 11:02:12 AM
Im sure we are all aware what fomo means.

Bitcoin has indeed ran a good race to over 10 000$ and it has pushed up the prices of altcoins simultaneously

Do a proper root research before getting into altcoins, resist all temptation to fomo.

Because when btc moons, the dead alts can rise momentarily only

NB, FOMO is not a good feeling during the bulls
Yes I think that you are right and it is not great to have a fear of missing out here in cryptocurrencies because you will decide for something that you don't want to do and you are getting urges to do it because of your fear and that fear is the fear of missing out here in cryptocurrencies which I repesr is not good. I hope that people would put extra care on their metal health here in cryptocurrencies becsuse it is important to know your capabilities and strengths and weaknesses here in cryptocurrencies and don't lose patience always here in cryptocurrencies

374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency crime in Netherlands. on: May 18, 2020, 10:49:50 AM
Six people were arrested in the Netherlands and the UK over a $27 million "typosquatting" scam, which involved making a fake website to gain access to user Bitcoin wallets.

5 man and 1 woman got arrested with warrant by the policeman at their homes Charlcombe, Lower Weston, and Staverton (UK), and Amsterdam and Rotterdam (Netherlands). They are really proffesional on accessing others account, there are many affected at least 4,000 victims in 12 countries and it still growing.

“The investigation relates to typosquatting, where a well-known online cryptocurrency exchange was ‘spoofed’ – or recreated to imitate the genuine site – to gain access to victims’ Bitcoin wallets, stealing their funds and login details.”
https://www.google.com/amp/s/portswigger.net/daily-swig/amp/six-arrested-in-connection-with-27m-typosquatting-scam

Good thing is that, they had already caught those six people because if that thing does not happen, the number of being affected by the scam will grow continuously. That is how expert hackers and scammers are.

So always be careful when visiting and trying some unfamiliar websites, always do research about it and read some reviews to assure yourself that it is legit.

I am glad that you posted this news in this forum. It raised my awareness about checking the website before using it. It also raised my awareness that before doing transactions in the internet like buying stuff or entering your card number, I must check the website and its certificate/s first. It is still sad  that people will do illegal things just for their sake/power/money (that's how the world works, there is good and bad.).
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The list of bounty projects that end in a scam on: May 18, 2020, 08:54:01 AM
I'm interested to know about the names of bounty projects that ended in scams ..
because this is a lesson for all of us as bounty hunters ...
can you write down a list of projects that you have participated in and ended up with a scam ??
1.
2.
3.
Yes ai think that this post is great because it is showing different scams that happened in a form of a cryptocurrency project and ai think that is not good because many people are getting scammed becaus efo other people that is creating a cryptocurrencies project that have good promises so they can bait people into thinking and to investing in their project so I think that it will be better to check the difference between real bounty projects and to the fake bitcoin and bounty projects in cryptocurrencies and I think that it will not be great if people can't earn money
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Indiscipline and Greed on: May 17, 2020, 01:23:47 PM
Trading cryotocurrencies is not so easy but very profitable.  majority find it difficult to retain their profit after a successful trade which is mostly caused by greed and indiscipline. When you have made enough money, it's better to call it a day and wait for another day of opportunity. Instead, indiscipline will make you open another trade to make more money which is what usually  lead to  losing the profit you already made from your first trade. Anyone can make this mistake and the most important lesson is to learn from our past mistakes because the mistakes are the lessons.

Yes I think that you are right because I know that persistence here in cryptocurrencies can bring you into somewhere and if you have knowledge and experience and patience in everything that you  are doing and I think that it will be great because you are gonna earn so much here in cryptocurrencies and I think that you don't need to be greedt but you need to focus on your own earnings and don't let others think that you are earning low but you need to use that as a inspiration because you need to earn for yourself and don't think what others are saying to you and focus on yourself.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn money during coronavirus? Is it possible by crypto coins? on: May 13, 2020, 03:01:19 PM
Everyone should stay at home now, for god's sake.

But how could we earn our life without getting out? Actually, there's always someone outstanding that can do something special. To be the special one, you have to take the long view. Well, I'm thinking about earning some cryptocurrency and turn it into real money during coronavirus. You know, by investing some altcoins, by airdops, by bountys, etc.

I check this:https://www.webounty.io/Guide-to-Earn-Money-at-Home-During-Coronavirus a few hours ago, I do need get some money, so I feel excited about it. But I am wondering if it's really the correct way. Will I
be cheated? Does anybody can help me?
Yes I think that there is a way to earn money in cryptocurrencies now in this time of crisis. I can say that I am earning while I am in a lockdown and I am content full about it because It is good than not be able to earn. I think that is great because earning money now is vital because even we have no jobs right now we can earn money through cryptocurrency. I think that easy way to earn is try using forums that pays you cryptocurrency because that is the most basic thing and I think that if you have knowledge you can try to mine in cryptocurrencies and trade in binance.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of lying project team on: May 13, 2020, 02:56:54 PM
I've seen few projects that decieved investors into thinking that they will list on binance or okex and Kucoin without these exchanges confirmation, my advice is once a project claim they are going top exchange do not hesitate to go to the top exchange social media, if the listing is legit the exchange will atleast say something about it. Wise up
Yes I think that we should be wary with the different projects that we are encountering here in cryptocurrencies because I think that there is a large percent of chance that it might be fake and it come from scammers and I think that we should really learn on how to find them out because our safety and money is in stake with the facme project scams. I think that we should know what to do incase we are encountering a similar problem to this because I think that it will be great if we can have cryptocurrencies that's is safe and from reliable sources in cryptocurrencies.

380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Best Cryptocurrency Wallets on: May 11, 2020, 11:30:34 AM
What is a cryptocurrency wallet?
A cryptocurrency wallet is a safe digital wallet used for storing, sending, and receiving digital currency like Bitcoin. Most of the coins have an official wallet or a few officially recommended third-party wallets. In order to use any of the cryptocurrencies, you will need to use a cryptocurrency wallet. Cryptocurrency itself is not “stored” in a wallet actually. Instead, a private key (secure code known to you and your wallet) is stored that shows ownership of a public key (a digital code connected to a specific amount of currency). Therefore, your wallet stores your private and public keys, allows you to receive and send coins, and also acts as a personal ledger.
More and more cryptocurrencies are evolving with a specific set of uses, and so are the wallets, but there are wallets which can store multiple cryptocurrencies, also.

1 Hardware Wallets

Hardware wallets are physical devices that store private keys offline. They are connected to the computer to sign in and gain access to the blockchain. This being offline ensures the private keys never leave the device

#1.1 Ledger Nano S

Ledger Nano S is a USB sized crypto hardware wallet which is best for most of the altcoin transactions. It is multiple asset hardware which looks like a folding flash drive. The advantage is that it can store more than 40 other digital currencies.

Paper Wallet
Paper Wallets are normal documents in the form of paper, where you can store your private keys. The software application will typically generate the keys, which can be printed using an offline printer.
#1.2 Trezor
Trezor is a hardware altcoin wallet which also acts like a USB device, which operates mainly on “Zero Trust Approach”, which cuts down the compromise by a third party. It is one of the best multiple cryptocurrency wallets as per cryptocurrency wallet reviews.
Pros: Trezor is protected by a password or a PIN and provides you with recovery seed if your wallet is lost. It’s easy-to-use interface and hack and theft free characteristic makes it fall under the top cryptocurrencies list.
Cons: It limits its communication with other devices and when the USB device isn’t connected, it’s turned off.

#1.3 Keep Key
Keep Key secures Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and Namecoin. They claim to be virus or malware proof, and assets are secured from hackers. Keep Key is a Bitcoin hardware wallet with advanced security against virtual and physical theft. Now, a lower price tag means more users can give it a try. In addition to Bitcoin, the wallet enables the storage and transaction of a variety of cryptocurrencies.KeepKey integrates with the software wallet on your computer by taking over a private key generation, a private key storage, and transaction signing.

Pros: Its top-notch security almost makes it impossible for hackers to steal the private key. It is attractive, professionally designed OLED display makes using the device easier than other similar products.

Cons: A lack of web wallet means users must add software such as Electrum or MultiBit to make use of its applications. The setup process is fairly straightforward but doesn’t allow users to save their progress.

#2 Desktop Wallets

Desktop wallets are the ones which are stored on either your laptop or desktop computers. The private keys reside on the computer’s local hard drive. These wallets are not secure like hardware or paper wallets since computers are susceptible to thefts and cyber-attacks which can lead to stolen private keys. The desktop wallet versions include Windows, Mac, Linux. Some of the best desktop wallets are Exodus and Electrum.

#2.1 Exodus

Exodus is a desktop supported cryptocurrency wallet which supports nearly three dozen cryptocurrencies including Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Ethereum among the popular ones.

Pros: As Exodus is a lite wallet, you don't have to store the entire blockchain in your desktop.

2.2  Electrum Wallet
Electrum was initially known for supporting Bitcoin, but now it forked the Electrum wallet codebase to supporting altcoins and made some adjustments so that it becomes compatible with the Verge blockchain. Electrum Wallet is a lightweight and easy cryptocurrency soft wallet to store your cryptocurrency holdings securely

#3 Online Wallets
To be honest, Online wallets are the least secure wallet as they are owned by third parties, that store your private keys. One good thing about an online wallet is that you can access it from anywhere, from any device via the internet. Ideally, online wallets are used for regular transfers and active trading and are available in chrome and firefox versions. Guarda qualifies as one of the best online wallets.

#3.1 Guarda

Guarda is the first multi cryptocurrency wallet, that supports the most popular crypto coins and tokens including BTC, ETH (+ERC20 tokens), ETC, Zcash, Ripple, DASH, latest EOS, and other multiple altcoins. It is known to be safe and reliable and can be easily handled from any device, hence regarded as one of the best cryptocurrency wallets for all coins.
#4 Mobile Wallets
Mobile wallets are one of the most convenient types of wallet for fast and easy trading. Most mobile wallets usually have an accompanying desktop app, hence the same security rules apply here. There are mostly two versions: Android and ios. Mobile wallets are ideal for small purchases. Jaxx and Mycelium are some of the examples of mobile wallets.

#4.1 Jaxx

Jaxx is relatively a new crypto which believes in simplifying the blockchain and attracting the masses to its unique selling proposition. Jaxx is a multi-chain wallet which offers support for dozens of altcoins, namely Ethereum, Dash, Ethereum Classic, DAO, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, REP and many more.

#4.3 Infinito Wallet

Infinito Wallet is the first universal cryptocurrency wallet in the world which provides easy and fast application access with utmost security and 24/7 maintained and regularly updated gateway to the blockchain, allowing fast transactions. It also helps the user by storing the list of frequent address for hassle-free transactions and even includes messages with transactions for improved record keeping. It is available on both Android and ios devices.
