361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gregory Maxwell threatens to sell his bitcoins and find other things to work on on: May 31, 2015, 11:45:14 PM
I still don't get it.
So none of the devs know how to reach a final solution that's perpetual and doesn't require future forks before we meet the 1MB limit in 2016?

Some of the devs just so happen to own a company that will profit from not increasing the 1mb limit.  Conflict of interest, kinda makes it easy which side to choose.
362  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Enter Your Email And get 300Bits (0.0003Btc) In Your CoinBase Account !!!!! on: May 31, 2015, 11:33:42 PM
So you open multiple accounts for this?  That is an awful lot of work for 7 cents.  Why not offer something you can do in the services section?  If your skill is good in a particular area then you could make a decent amount of coin, a heck of a lot more than this.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe it is a good advice not to store your BTC at OKCoin... on: May 31, 2015, 11:08:15 PM
So if OKCoin collapses and eats a bunch of bitcoins would this cause another crash on the scale of Mt. Gox?  Personally I don't think so.  The money is more spread out than it was then so I think the impact would not be as huge.  There would be some negative impact it just wouldn't be catastrophic.
364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not expect any major rally soon on: May 31, 2015, 11:06:13 PM

Thanks for this. That means 2018 I don't have to be an electrician anymore. (Apart from wiring my project houses I would have bought)

In the future I would like to buy a house with btc. Possible?

Your thoughts....

Bitpremier has a proper weird selection but it's a glimpse into the future.

I would've thought BTC would be the perfect vehicle for property transactions. All the traditional dicking around you have to do, bank transfers, contracts, deeds, could all be streamlined with it. And if you chuck in buying international property too...

Buying a house was a nightmare of paperwork.  How would bitcoins solve that?  At least in the USA the realtors pretty much have a monopoly on listings so you have to go through them and pay their ridiculous commissions.  And even if coins did become more popular then the industry would lobby the government to pass laws so convoluted that it would possibly be worse than using traditional methods of buying a house.  Maybe I am a bit cynical but most of the real estate industry are basically parasites and they won't be removed easily.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: Major Banks Admit Price Fixing... Hugh Penalties on: May 31, 2015, 11:01:29 PM
I remember reading the chat logs of the whales playing with fiat currencies, it truly resembled a trollbox from any of the BTC exchanges.
Now we need the major whales to admit the current price fixing of Bitcoin keeping it this low for so long lol.

But why would they want to keep the price low?  Maybe so they could buy more of it?  I would think that they want a higher price so they can earn a profit.  I have heard this before but it never made sense to me.  Does anyone know why they would hold the price down (assuming they are, which I am not sure of).

367  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to start BTC pool on: May 31, 2015, 10:54:32 PM
I'm interested to invest to start a bitcoin pool, can you tell me where to start/invest ?!

Can't really help you on where to start, but I would advise you to look at alt-coin pools instead.
It will be extremely difficult for you to compete with the established Bitcoin pools.

Just my 2 c.
ya right every time I see that asking about the best investment most people answered cryto altcoin indeed I have tried to take a few percent profit each day. I tried 10-20% profit

So do you make 10-20% a day or is that your goal?  If you actually make that much then grats, its a huge profit to take each day.  Stick with it and soon you will be rich Smiley  ANd if you have any tips for us let us know.

If you are not making that much, keep in mind that many investors feel 10-20% a YEAR is a good investment return.  Getting that every day might be really hard to do.  Don't risk everything and play it safe.  You can lose it fast in altcoins if you are not careful.

Has anyone tried this bot recently?  How easy is it to use, and how advanced are the options?  Will it do inter market arbitrage for example?  I am having trouble finding any reviews for this thing.  If anyone knows of a review please link it.  Thanks!
369  Other / Politics & Society / Re: russia to be free of sodomites, shuts down perverted anal sex activist rally on: May 31, 2015, 07:58:22 PM

Several gay rights activists have been arrested by police after attempting to stage a gay pride rally in Moscow.

One of the activists attempted to unfurl a rainbow flag as they were arrested by police.

During the incident, around 30 counter-demonstrators threw eggs at those participating in the pride parade.

It is understood that the rally was not authorised in advanced, and that a Moscow court had banned them from demonstrating.

Gay rights activist Nikolai Alexeyev tweeted saying he was “beaten” at the event, and that the fingers on his left hand were “probably” broken.

You know I might have arguments with people on this forum, heated debates and major disagreements.  But you sir have the honor of being the first ever person I have ignored.
370  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HELP ME TAKE BITCOINS TO THE TOP OF MT. EVEREST on: May 31, 2015, 07:31:37 PM
Woah that is a serious climb.  And exciting.  I really like this idea, it looks a bit like a gimmick, but a gimmick that will bring some positive publicity to bitcoins and cryptos in general.  I am really sorry to hear that you got goxed.  Best of luck in your venture, and climb safe!
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockstream the reason why 4 core developer won´t increase the blocksize? on: May 31, 2015, 06:56:01 PM
Thanks for the explanations on the details of this.  I may not understand exactly how this stuff works but I can make sense of it without being able to code it.  I wonder if anyone involved cares to make a statement here?  Somehow I doubt they will bu tit would be nice.  This is a serious accusation, something that could end careers.

Hello, I made it to full member if you could please bump me up to the next level.  To make paperwork easier I don't mind if you wait until the next cycle to start at the new rate.  If there are no more full member spots available please let me know.  Thanks!
373  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: New Robot Coin Game Rework! on: May 31, 2015, 05:18:12 PM
Ok the game is pretty fun.  I would like to see a more complex upgrade path.  You could have three different trees, damage, efficiency, and uh, something else.  Anyway its not a big deal but I thought it would make the game more fun.
374  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin so stable now? on: May 31, 2015, 06:47:08 AM
I don't think anyone knows for sure why the price is stable.  But I think the more stable the better.  Slower price growth should be favorable to wider adoption, which in turn should eventually lead to much higher prices.  At least that is my theory but I am willing to admit that I could be wrong.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: Japanese tax regimes depress economy on: May 31, 2015, 06:40:57 AM
Our sales tax here is 8%, and income tax is variable depending on how much you make.  I wonder if the total tax is more or less in Japan?  Do they have property tax as well like we do?  My taxes seem high to me but maybe I have it good.  I can never tell.
376  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to start BTC pool on: May 31, 2015, 06:08:05 AM
I would say that if you need to ask then you might want to think about buying some equipment and joining an existing pool.  I imagine that it might not be a one man show to start a pool.  You will need talented partners to help you out.

Just a suggestion:  If you do start a pool try and make something unique about it that differentiates it from other pools.  Lower %, auto coin switching algos, idk, but look at what others offer and find the gap.  Then fill it.
377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockstream the reason why 4 core developer won´t increase the blocksize? on: May 31, 2015, 06:03:30 AM
Well, now this is an interesting theory.  If it is true it shows a significant conflict of interest by the people that oppose a bigger block size.  I am not technically versed enough to make 100% sense of this but what does everyone else think?
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We're getting married! We're going to record it on the blockchain! on: May 31, 2015, 05:59:26 AM
Well I have to say congrats on one of the nerdiest weddings ever!
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lucy Liu is into bitcoin on: May 31, 2015, 05:56:51 AM
Ok no one said it yet so I feel that I have to.  Sorry in advance.

Ahem

Well that's great, I would like to be into Lucy Liu.
380  Economy / Economics / Re: Would any government allow foreign currency to circulate in domestic economy? on: May 31, 2015, 05:46:16 AM
I think it has quite a lot to do with what business interests want in any particular country.  If big businesses wan to use it then they will just bribe politicians to accept it.  The exception might be dictatorships like Russia or N. Korea.  And before you say, yes I know Russia is not strictly a dictatorship but it sure seems to act like one sometimes.
