361  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: January 31, 2016, 04:10:34 PM
I thought this was a serious discussion, not a scenario for a sci-fi movie. I mean, it was a cute remark but I think the thime machine should be put to rest.

You will never find a serious discussion on this forum how to get rich I'm afraid.
In this reality we will only get rich by being very lucky or working our ass off, I plan to do the latter and hope I get some of the former to help me a long.
with bitcoin you can actually possibly get rich most probably if you will invest into it as soon as possible and then sell it after a few years
Yeah exactly. Just investing in Bitcoin is already getting you rich. It is just how much you invest.

Roll Eyes Well that is not right is it. I have invested for the last couple of years that what I can afford. Not a small amount either and for some time I was in the red but I am now in profit but not rich. It is a big risk we're taking which may get us a few extra $ but it may not.

When you're betting with odds of under 2 you should have a high percentage of wins. Not taking anything away from you but your profit or  there lack of speaks for itself!
12wins and just 3 losses but you have negative bankroll.
Clearly something is not working as anyone can pick the favorites of a game  Tongue

Than your for your feedback. I have a negative bankroll because I was too confident on "favourite" bet. At the beggining, I chose the amount to bet a bit randomly, now I'm cautious, so I shouldn't be in the red for a long time.

That's ok. That is my point you should not have a negative bankroll when winning 12 and losing just 3. The reason is all your bets are tiny odds betting on the favorite for the match.
From experience betting them odds will never get you in profit for that long.
If they was parlay bets then they may get you a half decent return.
Anyway good luck
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 million [BTC] moved in one block on: January 31, 2016, 03:19:06 AM
There are some big fish out there.

In a few minutes, I found 2 10,000 BTC transactions made exactly at the same time. Obviously, it was the same person.

https://blockchain.info/address/18SwPkgUHFo8QLh5fMcchKvmUVrFNxXF6B
https://blockchain.info/address/1HSV4NUkCtJ4wdK79peu2wGjAxEe3N6Yu3

You need to have a lot of trust in the network. I can't imagine myself doing such a large single transaction. I would be too afraid something would go wrong and I would loose a fortune.

Big fish and massive whales and so much plankton is out there. They are nice size transactions for sure but if you don't have trust in the network you probably would not have that many coin to begin with. No need to be afraid of any size transaction unless your doing it drunk then good luck. Check address to send to, send 1btc, once received send the larger amount by copy and pasting the first add but checking the first 3 parts of the address and the last 3. That is all I would do as well as give a very very nice miner fee.
1million in a block and only a bitcoin in fee's is crazy and just goes to show the power of bitcoin.

365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DGB - I'm Calling The Next Bubble on: January 30, 2016, 10:30:33 PM
the UP is already over. i think price will go down to 30. then it is time to buy and wait and sell at about 45sats.

dgb behaved like most of the other alts during the past few days.

I hope the up is over for this round as I accumulated between 29-32 and sold at 47-50 thinking that was the top but guess we will soon see. Op fingers crossed your wrong lol but the volume is very nice so it is possible.
366  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyBTCCasino.com - Provably Fair - HTML5 Mobile games on: January 30, 2016, 10:14:40 PM
Yes I guess it won't be a priority but more of a personal wish. Another one would be having successful live poker/tournament rooms, I always thought that was another niche where there are not a lot of options, specially because there seems to be no users. As far as I know there's not a clear Bitcoin Pokerstars, I know a big one existed and got hacked or something a while back, I don't remember the name.

If I was running this site I would not worry about neither sports or poker. Sports already has some healthy sites and poker, you said it yourself. There is not enough bitcoin users/poker players at the minute. Every poker site I have seen been set up last year failed that same year. It costs a fortune to get these upgrades and then even more to promote them the right way to make it a success and there just isn't enough players to make it worth while.
The site is doing it right taking note of things to upgrade the current casino and build a user base and working well site.
If and when they become a success then they can branch out without spreading themselves to thin.
Things I would recommend here over anything else, live customer service chat, a troll box for members and the current upgrades they seem to be working on.
367  Economy / Gambling / Re: Playcoin.eu | BLACKJACK | 0.4% HOUSE EDGE | FAUCET | BEST DESIGN | on: January 30, 2016, 09:43:15 PM
I see you have done some more work since I last dropped by "The website is now SSL encrypted " That is a good start and will feel safer coming to have a few games with you.
Do you have plans on advertising/marketing this site as that will no doubt help the user base.
New gambling sites need a lot of investment in them to get going or they just become ghost towns.
Hopefully yours doesn't.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why you mostly like bitcoin compare to other digital currency? on: January 30, 2016, 12:32:12 PM
well, its the first coin I heard, the other coins, I have no idea about them, besides, the price is good too..  Smiley

It is probably the first crypto currency many heard about, it was for me as well. There are some good ones but there hundreds more bad ones. Btc was fast to become the main currency of the DN which helped it gain as much traction as it has.
I mostly like bitcoin because of the simplicity and security of it and the great following and investments that has arrived over the years.
Of course being the oldest helps with the trust.
369  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WARNING] BEWARE THIS BOARD! on: January 27, 2016, 09:35:10 AM
No way. Investor based games has the most scams.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=207.0

it's literally all scams.

It was never said this is 100% the most scammy board but the point is clear.
It is probably the most scam ridden section and I agree at least you know that section you said is full of scams, this is meant to be a legit board. Also investorbased gives you a big warning this section is yet to do that hopefully it will soon.
People selling carded this, carded that, cracked accounts etc etc and there is more and more each time I look.
370  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: January 27, 2016, 12:37:55 AM
Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?!

Because they are either mindless idiots, or newbies who dont understand BTC, or shills who are pushing an agenda against it.

People who might had scheduled an income plan, might have not reached the calculated value which results in their financial burst, So this creates a thought that bitcoin is dead

Most wallstreeters have no idea what will happen to their investments in the next crisis, so they ignore bitcoin and dismiss it, even downgrade it.

Then when you will see -90% stock drops, or hyperinflation to stop the crash, then people will think seriously about bitcoin.

Yes they are ignorant.
They've read something about bitcoin between the drugs currency and now they think all is bad.
Very sad for them, since they will lose out.

Let them miss out the ones that know what it is about are here and that is for sure. Smart money will always find investments like btc.
If and when the time comes when the stocks crash and keep crashing to unprecedented levels there will be to much rushing to save money and that is no doubt when gold will pump not btc, although btc will pick up some new investors.
It takes time to learn about btc to want to invest crazy amounts.

Original question.... This thread was over a year old and op people are still screaming it is dead for like the 100th time, that will always be with us whether it is because of a $20 drop in price or some news like the recent Mike fud or some whales shilling to get cheap coin.
To many reasons to go through them all but it is nothing to worry about.
371  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: January 26, 2016, 09:50:25 PM
I am not actually buying bitcoins, but I always buy some bitcoins once price reaches around 300$, and try to wait unless it gets near or over 400$. I always wonder if sometime it will give loss too, but I have earned enough to cover it Smiley

So you don't buy btc but you always buy btc when the price goes to around $300?
The next about $400 is confusing as well, you mean you panic buy if it goes low then bounces without you being able to buy.
I am sure with that strategy above you will make a loss sooner or later.
I'll be buying a couple more or maybe just one btc(depends on wages and bills) at the end of the month. Just once hopefully we get a slight drop off and will continue to do so for the next few months.
372  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which TV series are you hooked on? on: January 26, 2016, 09:24:21 PM
Narcos is a very good series I agree but I watched them all 10 one after the other and left me wanting to watch more!
Another good series is blacklist which is what I am currently watching repeats of.
373  Economy / Gambling / Re: Playcoin.eu - Your BLACKJACK place ! on: January 25, 2016, 05:38:52 PM
Well, we already got hacked... Wonderful...
We are trying to solve the problem.
Thanks.

I would like to say this is a one off but it isn't! Many new bitcoin gambling sites are hacked/ddos in the first few weeks.
Have you had a ransom from the that they will stop should you give them a couple of bitcoin?
I have a friend who it happened to twice within a year under two different sites, he never paid.
I will keep tabs of the thread and take a look when you are more secure because after all it is a site that will hold other peoples funds.

374  Economy / Gambling / Re: How can I win big? on: January 25, 2016, 05:21:01 PM
I think the best way to earn big is as suggested by many people parlay but understand that you need to win all the bets in parlay, so risk too.
yes it brings a lot of money. but if you are sure to convince all your money in one time? I hope not . it is very risky.

Parlays are the lessor evil if you know the teams and sport you are betting on, oh and you don't make very big parlays. There are many sportsbooks that will actually give you your money back if one of your teams loses!
That has been good to me as I always tended to have one team from my parlay that would lose.
Which leads me to that which can help you win big is to first find all the bookies that you can get bonuses from which will help give you an edge.
There are many good deals out there just not so much for bitcoin which is a little strange but once you find them they should spam your email with good deals like they do mine what helps a lot.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 25, 2016, 04:51:42 PM
Chelsea ruined my bet unexpected result Arsenal failed to make score a goal on home ground i had my bet on both teams to score because i thought that is very safe option but nothing is safe in gambling Tongue

You wasn't the only one Chelsea and Manchester United screwed a lot of people with them unexpected results.
I actually laughed this time my parlay bet is usually let down betting with for both above teams to win'
This time I bet Chelsea to lose and they finally win a game. Beat Arsenal twice this season now but lose against the lower rated teams all the time. There would have been some happy bettors yesterday though Smiley

yes i agree, Chelsea and Manchester United this year is have complicated bets with their results. when everyone expects of them win, they are loose and inversely
A few weeks ago just watching him, but not bet of any combination with this clubs.

That saved you some monies not betting Smiley I think I will join you and leave them games out in future. Luckily this time I made a bet with a bitcoin sports book and they offered if one team lost then get a freebet of 100mbc because that is what I bet. The Chelsea/Arsenal bet of course lost haha.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: January 25, 2016, 12:53:35 PM
I would take Bitcoins instead, Its easy and fast to sell, It has a big future and Bitcoins will get upwards in the future.

You would be right to choose bitcoin. I would choose bitcoin as well. So easy to sell and buy gold and precious metals with so there would be no loss I would buy them with my bitcoin if ever the time came. We can only hope bitcoin will be on the up in future with our decision but I trust it will. Gold is already about to go up.

Honestly, its really difficult winning on sport bets. I tried in the past. IT seems easy when you are watching the game on TV, but when you actually put some money on your team, that team ends up losing.

No it isn't it is one of if not the easiest ways to win from betting if you have recent knowledge of the sports your betting on.
I am up over all from sports but down from playing the house at a casino.
OP you win big by betting big on big odds. There is of course parlay betting where you can bet small and win big but that falls under the big odds.
Small/slow and steady wins the race.

Agree with this, small and slow is much better and safer then fast and big.
I think OP need to try something small before he make some big hit. Following results and games in past is crucial in this, inform yourself always.
Wish u luck.

It is the best way for anyone new to sports imo. I mean if you start from a  very small amount and get used to betting and gain experience then you can't hate yourself for losing a large amount and then rack up even more losses betting emotionally trying to get your losses back.
And as you say following the chosen game at a lower stake gets you the experience needed to be able to bet bigger in future not to mention you could be free rolling at that point as I am.

My main reason for buying btc is because I believe in what it is doing and so I use it as a savings account in the faith/hope that one day that may pay off.
Obviously I maybe wrong and it doesn't work out but at least I am here just in case and I never spend on btc more than I can afford.
Just the change left over from living but over the few years it has worked out to be a fair amount.
