361  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Bitman USB miner first edition 1.1 how much it worth to sell ? on: November 23, 2022, 02:14:29 PM
Don't sell it just yet. I also have 3 of them and I'm waiting for the right time to sell it. They are a pice of Bitcoin's history but they justhave a few years, so no opne will give you too big of a price for them as they have almos no utility at this point. However, as the years go by, less and less of these equipments will be found and that will be about when collectors will pay good prices for them.

Just wait at least 10 more years and I guess they will be worth a lot more.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: November 23, 2022, 08:23:14 AM
This will be a bad move for Twitch. With their scroony attitude in relation to gambling they will end up losing much of their users. A lot of people are using Twitch to show their games a build a followers base. If they end up migrating on to other platforms Twitch will only be losing.

All and all, I'm already using Rumble as an alternative...

364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 22, 2022, 06:50:15 PM
damn, Argentina was a real surprise. I was actually expecting to see it doing a goal showdown. On nthe other hand, Saudi Arabia may well be the diamond squad of the cup as they performed really well in front of the south american squad.

From what I've seen from their first appearance, if Argentina keeps up with this flawed tactic, it will probably not reach the following phase.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can’t vote our way to freedom, but we can build our way to freedom on: November 22, 2022, 06:44:09 PM
Bitcoin is an unstoppable force against the enslaving fiat system. This is why I own Bitcoin. But it makes me wonder; what else can we replace with a technology that is permissionless and immutable?

I have seen people trying to build apps that could replace politicians from deciding how our taxes are distributed, but perhaps they have the same centralized failures that DigiCash had before Bitcoin.

Maybe Bitcoin is all we really need. "Fix the money, fix the world".

The beauty of the technology behind Bitcoin is that it can pretty much be applied to pratically everything. Thing is that with everything, men will always use the technology for what is no good. You could say that Bitcoin could "Fix the money, fix the world" but there will always be the factor men. We have seen it with the atom bomb, and we have seen it with all technologies coming forth. They will always be used for some to take advantege over a few.

As an example, apart from Bitcoin, and cryptos, I can say, Blockchain could be used for so many good things, but they decided to use it for CBDCs...
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright's lawsuit against Kraken on: November 22, 2022, 06:35:05 PM
this is just proof that Craig Wright is only on a hot persuit on money. He has tried for several ways to get a share of Bitcoin wealth by adopting absurd attitudes.
Nowadays he is nothing but a joke who is making lawyers rich wheras himself is nothing but the joke of the crypto industry.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: November 22, 2022, 03:06:35 PM
My bet goes to Biden as I do think that Trump is aleady done for.

After the attack at the American democracy, Trump lost hihs way and now people with their head in place in the US don't want to have a lunatic back in power, so Biden should easily beat Trump.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling unethical? on: November 22, 2022, 03:03:52 PM
For many cultures Gambling may be unehtical, but in the western world it is something that ia acceptable. In fact, we have a whole industry around Gambling who is responsible for giving work to a lot of people.

On the other hand, on the Muslim world, gambling is unethical and people can even get some problems by doing it. I guess this is an unacceptable attitude for the 21st century and people in muslim countries should fight to change this.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 21, 2022, 11:26:14 PM
England looking pretty strong. Although Iran is not too bad of a team, they were absolutely smashed by the brit squad. England showed a concise and strong play for which the Iranian team was no match for.

Argentina is also looking good and I predict that they will also smash the Saudi Arabian team. So we will most probably see a goal showdown as well with this one.

I say, there's a strong chance of watching an Argentina England 2022 World cup final.
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accumulation phase is out!? on: November 21, 2022, 08:39:04 PM
BTC is probably going to 13K, then 9K and so on.

It doesn't look fine. Oh no, it doesn't. Losing the 16k area is like walking on thin ice. It may break at any moment and drown down to 10, 9k yeah, if not more, as panic may take over and we may return to 2017 prices...
Apparently thing are really not looking good Sad

Here's something to take a peek about this matter.
371  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Cloud mining for bitcoin on: November 21, 2022, 06:36:00 PM
I used to rent from Hashnest, which was the ccloud mining arm of Bitmain. But in two years I ended up losing more money than earning. Cloud mining is not profitable at all. Not even mining at Hashnest cloud mining services is profitable. Cloud mining is not worth it at all. Better for you to buy real miners and find someone that can host them for you that to contract web mining services. This is my opinion, but you  re free to check Hasnest and see what they have to offer.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Decentraland recover? on: November 21, 2022, 06:28:20 PM
Decentraland (MANA) is a very good project and it has something already built. So, it is nothing that will simply disappear out of thin air. That said, if the guys behind the project are still going to innovate and present new solutions they will succeed. The metaverse is also something that came to stay, and from here on, a lot of development will be done in the area, so if Decentraland is able to keep up, they will most certainly succeed. If they do, you will see the price of mana soaring a lot in the next bull run.

373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is fiat to Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2022, 10:53:52 AM
Lately, I've seen so many bitcoin holders speak so badly of fiat and how much they wouldn't want to associate themselves with fiat usage if possible, but I took some time to make a little research and from my research, I do observed that Bitcoin usage wouldn't be an easy one without fiat not even in countries where Bitcoin is legalized and my question is,
can Bitcoin be easily used and spent without Fiat?
My answer is No

What's your opinion?
Let's discuss

everything is already in place for Bitcoin to be completely independent from the FIAT system as there are many businesses that accept Bitcoin as payment, so there is no need to use fiat. Fiat is just the means of exchange of this economic model whereas Bitcoin presents a completely new model that is able to live without the fiat system.
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accumulation phase is out!? on: November 20, 2022, 07:21:38 PM
I say this phase has already begun. So, what do you guys have to say?
The falling pattern is very similar to 2018 falling pattern, just that it was unexpected that FTX customers fund misappropriation would be the cause of what we expected in November, but it happened and the price declined further, but just that bitcoin price did not fall much more, but many altcoins suffered significantly with most price fall. With what I think, the price of bitcoin has falled significantly from all-time-high, even if the price would declined further, it will not be significant which means it is advisable to buy now, or better just DCA. But to tell if the bear market is over, I do not know, but it is getting closer to bull time.

Totally agree. And I even add that the altcoin meltdown money is fleeing into Bitcoin as we speak. The capitulation of many altcoins is nothing new, it has happened several times before.

In fact, I believe that this happens because smart investors are on top of investing in the early stages of tokens\ altcoins launch and end up dumping their stash as soon as the coin hits an exchange. In the process, shitcoins get wrecked and the average joe believing in it gets smashed. The money gathered from the blow is then channelled in for the next blow while they channel part of it back to Bitcoin.
375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Accumulation phase is out!? on: November 20, 2022, 06:23:27 PM
We have entered the second year of a Bear Market. The market moment we're in has found its support at the peak of 2017's Bull market.

There are those who think that it can still go lower, but the majority agree we have reached a bottom as the selling pressure is losing momentum.

Theoretically, if Bitcoin is able to hold the support at the peak of 2017's bull run, we may see a reverse in the bearish momentum and the start of a new accumulation phase.

I say this phase has already begun. So, what do you guys have to say?

376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 20, 2022, 03:44:22 PM
This year, Arsenal is tough and already got 5 points ahead in the lead over Manchester.

The competition will be fierce as I still believe Manchester will overcome Arsenal in a few rounds. Even though Arsenal is in the lead, in statistical terms, Manchester seems to be more consistent and maintains a superior goal average.

I guess Arsenal will fall at a certain point and Manchester's consistency will have the best. That said, my bet goes to Manchester to win this season's premiership
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: November 20, 2022, 12:56:51 PM
Although the odds are clearly on the Tank's side, KingRy can be surprising. This will be one of the most awaited next year's fight and there is already a lot of speculation around the fight.

Both athletes should be on the same mindset towards winning, so in that regard, they have about the same motivation. The value bet should be on KingRy side, however he's winning chances are shy. You can check the best odds and even calculate your own predictions here.

379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambling addict? on: November 20, 2022, 11:48:19 AM
A few years ago when I started with Online Poker gambling, I was getting obsessed by it and without even noticing it I was getting addicted. I started gambling poker over at Pokerstarts and was pretty successful from the beginning. I could actually make some money but it wasn't enough for the time wasted in the game.

I would come home from work straight to the computer to play poker tournaments, which, as you know, is very time-consuming. I would stay hours on playing and wasn't getting any dinner or any sleep. And this for just a few coppers. Sometimes you would stay on the money, but other times I would simply waste a lot of time and get no prize. This went on and on, and even with some winnings my wife was getting worried because I wouldn't go out and on the weekends and stay home doing the same thing all over again.

This went on and on until it started to affect my personal life and my wife even threatened to leave me. This was when I saw I had a problem with gambling and was able to walk away: For me, it was simple to get away as I am a very active guy and do a lot of sports, so I took skate and surf and left gambling behind to fight for my family.

So, long story short, I was about to lose my family because of gambling but was able to recognise the signs before it actually happened. Today, I still play poker online but I know when to stop and how precious is my time, so I can actually live with it without having any negative impact.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: November 20, 2022, 11:17:00 AM
I was reading some of the replies in of @mr_jk's thread when he asked what will happen if bitcoin's price became stable?

The replies were unexpected hehehe. Much of them argued why or how can bitcoin be stable? This makes me ask the question do much of the holders of bitcoin want the price to be stable or do they really want it be volatile? I ask this because stability makes bitcoin become a good store of value and medium of exchange. Volatility makes it good for trading and speculation.

not all Bitcoin supporters want it to have a stable price. Volatility is one of the most praised characteristics of Bitcoin for speculators who use Bitcoin for trading pusposes so they are not looking into having a long term investment in Bitcoin but rather get some immediate profit from it. This is not necessarily good as it has a bad influence on the market over time. While investors are long term holders and are waiting for a price increase but have little to no influence that will affect the price, speculators can do more harm than good becuase they affect the stability of the asset itself maiking it too risky for the average joe to trust and get in.
