Nothing, yet. Just monitoring temperatures and refining the design; been running two high-clock Cubes for 10 hours straight now and nothing on the board is even warm. Obviously the final product is going to be more enclosed/polished.

I think the picture Crover posted looks a fair bit more dodgy. Looks like they just crimped some 1/4 quick-connect tabs and shoved them in place.

let me know when you get the final product up and running as really needing to sort out my power solutions.

Thanks
362  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY OPEN & Shipping] - ** GIVEAWAY ** BITMAIN AntMiner 180 GH/S 300 Units on: December 16, 2013, 07:08:42 PM

Hashing at 165Gh/s, Running 2x 750W PSU 1 per blade.

Any ideas ?

why 2 PSUs per blade ?

Only way I can seem to get them to run properly, hopefully I can use the server PSU once I get a link to the cables

Cheers

If it's a LTD company then thats good, look them up.  However, don't BTC without escrow, or collecting in person. "Limited" is just that.... limited liability.

I was actually thinking BTC in the shop before collection.  So, a customer arrives at an appointed date and time.  He tests for 30min, then BTC transaction is done.  Once atleast 10 clients have done this and our reputation and trust is built, then pay online and collect would be the way forward.  Again all this is something I need to take time and think about after I see my accountant.

What do you think?

Another way would be to give out test purchase to say select few that would do in depth review and setup guides, Like Bitman and Sushi did with the Antminers.

Gets the hardware in the hands of fellow trusted members and can get a good review on it and build the trust, I have no doubt people will make orders as the price you set is reasonable for the power you can deliver.

If you can have a miner delivered within few days of payment then that is good business. Hopefully can setup business soon and push for the lunch, with the Christmas holidays fast approaching deliveries will most likely now be within the new year since couriers and places shut for the holidays.

Not quite the same, no psu vent and different port locations.

They are very the same, you can custom with the factory, if set up group buy can get huge discount.

Also they stock a 300Gh/s model

U and your group buys. Dont make jokes with serious people.
Go and play with your cubes 38gh/s for 1100Gbp to your GB thread.
Leave this thread alone. And to add more: Aliexpress? western union as only option? Bank transfer will not be an option.

Good luck with advices like that.

Aliexpress uses an escrow system, the factory I linked accepts the escrow system used from any bank in the world. My latest group buy has been a success 18 cubes sold.

My thread has nothing to do with this, I was only offering my knowledge from what I have found.

I agree with you that being able to pickup from a business is much better than anything as you can physically see the item.

Thanks

Just been doing some research on product and they are selling same model in here

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/NEW-avalon-bitcoin-miner-200G-s-Mining-machinery-book-now-incloud-power-free-shipping-by-DHL/1509034551.html

I have had previous trade with this company and are genuine.

Please see bottom photos are same as unit posted ^^

I have found many many many suppliers on my hunt.
They all have the same problems:  Stock / Preorder.

No one can beat getting it in hand the same day via a retail shop and a LTD company which is established in the UK with support.

That is what we want to achieve.

Of-course it is expected that many Chinese sellers will come online.  We will see lots in the new year guaranteed.

Also:  $4,500 = £2,780 estimated.  We are looking to sell at estimated £2,600 - £3,200 depending on tax.

Hi yeah totally agree with yourself I would even travel to pick up due to these being very heavy.  Also since you are a LTD company gives people UK more faith and trust that you are a real business.

TAX is the killer fee I think, hopefully can sort something out. I had to register myself as an importer for my business then tax was far cheaper.

I'm sure you will achieve this and even myself as a customer for you.

Thanks  Smiley

Looking to power 8 Cubes

What would be the best method without using Server PSU to power ?

Also on overclock mode, I have been looking at a 750W PSU that has a 6Pin PCIE splitter on the cable

But that means I would need 8 of them, any other more efficient way to powering 8 of them ?

Thanks

I use a Corsair TX850 to power two.  Four of them should do the trick for 8 Cubes.  Alternatively, I am also running 3 Cubes with 2 Corsair CX750s.  Depending on how much space you have and the price of these PSU's at time of purchase, some combination of them might make sense.

I currently have 35 Cubes running with 7 TX850s and 14 CX750s.

Hi thanks for the reply, Sadly can't seem to find any suppliers in the UK for those power supplies Sad Really needing to order some tomorrow and needing the best option as really looking to power 2 cubes per PSU but neeed to have all the right cables.

Thanks

Just to say a big congrats to Bitman and Sushi on an excellent group buy 1 and 2  Smiley

Looking forward to getting my miner tomorrow due to it being stuck at hub over weekend.

Hopefully will announce the winner soon  of the group buy  Smiley

Hopefully Sushi and Bitman will work for more group buys into the 2014 year and produce new hardware as it comes available.

Customer service and delivery has been excellent and very well organised plus the surprize of early shipping and already done cables.

Just to say a big thank you Smiley

I have ordered these Power supplies http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-045-OK&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=2463

Hopefully they are good. If not please let me know.

Thank you

Hi, I bought one of these for my Cubes miner and ran on high for 5 mins and it blew, thankful OC accepted return.

My advice would be go with a good brand, no point paying loads of money to then use cheaper power supply and possible damage could be done.

I learnt that the hard way when I used a cheap power supply on a blade.

380  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: (UK) ASICMiner Cube 30Gh/s to 38Gh/s (worldwide) on: December 14, 2013, 09:46:27 AM
Price is set of £435 without delivery cost

Thanks

And now you're selling them for £1100? Well that was a waste of time waiting. Thanks, but I'm out.

^^^^Another happy customer of this "group buy".^^^^

Already sold 5 cubes - another 8 for sale, quit your moaning I don't set the price at which they get sold to me at.
