Anyway, all I am saying is that these players don't have the capability of winning matches on their own. They can play a supplementary role, and that is it.
If you are talking about solo goals, those are rare and you really need a team effort to win matches and big tournaments and it is evident from the recent World Cup where Messi motivated the entire team and the team members trusted his vision and everyone wanted to win the cup for Messi and the player needs to be in the right position at the right time and only a team whose members are willing to play a supplementary role for the ultimate purpose can win the entire tournament  . I have seen matches where Kylian Mbappé was not able to score goals nor get any chance to score one for PSG when Neymar and Messi were not available. You need a good midfield play to get the ball to the strikers, Ronaldo was facing the fate in Manchester United and now with Al-Nassr as he is not getting the ball and even if you are a goal scoring machine elsewhere, if the midfielders are not good enough to pass the ball along, you wont be scoring goals. A team can only be victorious by a good team effort, if all the players are doing their role efficiently and good then a team can win . You cannot win a game by one man show and you cannot expect that from football players too , they need a good team who pass ball according to their position and helps the striker to score a goal . I think the solution to this is very easy. Both teams need to come together and work something out. I mean both cricket boards. But that is of course not going to happen. And I do not think that anyone can decide if a country is safe or not Just by looking at the statistics.
Agreed. The BCCI is never going to give in to PCB's requests while the PCB are focusing on the bad options instead of thinking about the good options. It's obviously Pakistan's loss if they skip the upcoming World Cup in India which is why that is their worst option.
I dont think there is any difference between India or any other team. Indian players are just ordinary guys like that in Australia, England or Zimbabwe. We are trying to figure out reasons of why cricket can't be included in Olympics and we have no definite excuse for this.
I think that cricket just doesn't suits Olympics and hence it is not included. Some can argue that ODI matches take a full day and therefore it is not included in cricket but then what about T20 which takes about 4 hrs to complete the match. Maybe they compare it with hockey or football which takes only 1.5 hrs to complete the game.
T20 Format was introduced in 2005 before that only ODI and Test format were available which are unfit for Olympics. Even after 15 years of introduction of T20 format, ICC wasnt able to include cricket in Olympics because of reason still not clear. I dont think ICC is still serious in inclusion of cricket in Olympcs |

In the Bangladesh Premier League 34th Match, Dhaka Dominators batted first and set a target of 130 runs in 20 overs today. I don't think the runs scored by Dhaka Dominators are the right runs for them to win. If Dhaka Dominators start a bad bowling performance now, then they won't win this match. There will be no chance. If Dhaka Dominators could have scored 150 runs then the match between the two teams would have been frozen.

The two strongest teams in Qatar 2022 were Argentina and Brazil. No one will deny that. All the other teams (including European teams such as France and Spain) would rank much below them. As it is still awaiting its approval, we will have to wait longer. There may be some reasons why ICC has recommended only 6 teams to be there. I think it can be time consuming as only top 6 teams are allowed to participate. If such rules are in force in every event then there should not be any difficulty. All the countries who can hold the top position of the ranking will be able to play there. In this regard maximum efforts will be made to retain everyone's position in the ranking. As a result, more seriousness will increase towards cricket. The bigger problem is with the proposal by ICC to do away with a qualifier tournament. In Olympics, it doesn't work like that. Automatic qualification is provided only for hosts and everyone else need to play the qualifiers. ICC ranking is not recognized by the IOC, because it is meaningless. ICC eligibility criteria is a joke and matches using this criteria can't be used for qualifying to the Olympics. If ICC is serious about cricket getting included in the Olympics, then they need to come up with a proper proposal and not this sham they put forward now. 3 Olympic medals can't be distributed among 5 teams (+hosts) and they need to work on Olympic qualifier tournament if they are serious about it. ICC should give a reasonable proposal for Olympics and atleat send 10 teams which should include all big 3 , associate teams so that people should wnjoy that and there should be competitive matches. Yes the format should be discussed like make it 10 overs or 20 overs depending upon time given but atleast give some attention to this Olympics. |

England won the match because of Jofra Archer's brilliant bowling. Otherwise, the England team would have been defeated in today's match as well. Except for Jofra Archer, all the bowlers gave a lot of runs. However, this match was not important for South Africa. They won the series. But South Africa would have been able to win if the top order players had started the match well. But I would say South Africa's bowling line-up is still not strong enough. They need to strengthen their bowling line-up if they want to do well in the upcoming ODI World Cup.
Agreed. It was a spectacular comeback from Jofra Archer. He has been out of action for almost one and half years and then returns to take 6 wickets in his 9 overs, and that too against a team that successfully chased a target of 343 only a few days back. All the other England bowlers were leaking plenty of runs. Archer was the only one with an economy rate of less than 6.00. So it would be safe to say that without him, England would have lost the match. South Africa didn't looked like they were comfortable, at any point in the chase. They were regularly losing wickets. Archer is just 27-years old and therefore he has the potential to become one of the legends in pace bowling. But he needs to stay away from injury. One encouraging sign is that he hasn't lost any of his pace. Throughout the match, he maintained an average speed of around 90 mph. Jofra Archer is still a young player. And he is a great bowler. He was not in form for a long time. But his transformation was remarkable. He has shown excellent bowling against South Africa. England won only on Jofra Archer's performance. It is a relief for England that Jofra Archer has returned to form. The England team for the next World Cup could use Jofra Archer well. But England needs one more seasoned talented pace bowler. Relying on just one bowler would be risky. England did not do well in the India series. But they will definitely be able to learn from the mistakes they made with this series. They should probably make big changes in bowling action. In my perspective there are two more good bowlers needed along with Jofra Archer who can pick up wickets quickly. In the last match, Jofra Archer changed the picture of the match even though the player of the match was Jos Buttler. His good innings of 131 gave England a big target at the same time Jofra Archer's contribution was appreciable. In recent series both teams were good but South Africa was more good with batting and that's the reason for their win . Finally India again defeat newZealand and win the consecutive two home series of ODI and T20, few year ago newZealand was like a horror dream for India in every series or any ICC competition. But now the indian team got some gem player like Shubman gill , umran, Hardik etc who dominate the entire newZealand team without any doubt. I taught after india scoring 190+ , the newZealand team will fight back hardly but I think after a huge target from India the newZealand player almost lose Thier confidence and accept this shameful loss too early.
Didn't expect this bad performance by Newzealand, Indians again proved that they own the cricket world with their performance specially . 66 all wickets gone , India overall dominated this game and they deserved to win this series. |

India have won the toss and decided to bat. Not much of change in the India squad. Umran Malik have come instead of Chahal which is a good choice. India haven't lost 24 consecutive series in home. Both of their participation in the next World Cup is uncertain, and I wouldn't be surprised if neither of them gets to represent their respective national teams in the next World Cup. They've both reached their peak in football and accomplished a lot. It's time for both of them to go so that we can see the new generation of young people.
The same argument was made regarding Ronaldo for the FIFA 2022 World Cup. But then, world cup happens only once every years and participating in it and representing the country is a dream for almost all the top football players. I am 100% sure that Messi and Neymar will represent their respective countries during FIFA 2026. I am not against giving adequate opportunities for the younger players. But that doesn't always work well. We all saw the case with Portugal during Qatar 2022. At top level football, there is no substitute for international experience. For Neymar, he still has a chance even though he was already 34 when the 2026 world cup was held. however, the truth is we will never know because it is possible that he will not be called up by the new Brazil coach. because, Brazil currently has many young generations that can be relied on. Likewise with Messi, he is too old to fight in the 2026 world cup later. he already has what he aspires to be throughout his football career, it is time to be replaced by the younger generation and at the same time test their skills. Especially for Ronaldo, his existence seems to fade with age. in fact, he is having a hard time scoring goals for his new team at the moment. apart from all that, Messi and Ronaldo are two of the greatest superstars of all time for me. but the time has come for them to entrust it to the younger generation. There are many young players who'll be in 2026 world cup and they will be on peak of their careers , Ramos , Argentina's Enzo Fernandez, Mbappe, hakim. So the picture of football will be totally different in upcoming world cup. |
