362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~Many Game Servers ~ Disruptive Game Currency ~ On Bloomberg ~MMO on: December 24, 2014, 04:14:04 AM
Hyper is really making tremendous progress. I wasnt here for sometime so may have missed some news but it really is looking great.

Just read a post about web advertising here. Since hyper now has a lot of gaming server but not too many gamers, we can advertise them through gaming ad networks like cpmstar. We just have to create landing pages for the server where we could explain how gamers can connect to the server and play the game and earn hyper of it. Then we will need to create some good banners or images to use as advertisements.

This will attract many gamers towards hyper and can get many players on the servers. Let me know what do you think.

On the note of advertising, I run a decently popular gaming network. I'd be willing to work out a direct advertising deal if whoever handles these things wants to get in touch with me for more details.
All of this sounds great!  I'd love to see the StarMade server get more public attention!   Wink

Awesome! Ranlo please PM me so we can work something out regarding advertising to your gaming network. HYPER can be supplied to fund advertising.

Can anybody update me on hyperzanda Hyper intergration? No news for like few months already, did dev dump that project already?

Hyperzanda has not been "dumped". We still have a Hungarian developer working on it but due to someone using an exploit to generate unlimited SHY we need to fix this before enabling HYPER / SHY trading. The Hyperzanda.com site is still up and I posted about the progress ~ 2 weeks ago:

Now that HYPER is starting to have a solid foundation can also finally finish up Hyperzanda.com (believe it or not our Hungarian developer is still working on it behind the scenes) and investigate more thoroughly how our Russian friend gamed the system and earned millions of SHY! Integrating HYPER trading in-game is relatively easy the hard part is making sure no one can game the system and cheat when we launch properly with HYPER trading between players for in-game resources and assets.

Awesome, thanks for the update on HyperZanda, hope it is coming soon. Also is there a rules only 1 account is allowed per ip address?
363  Economy / Speculation / Re: $300 proven to be strong support level on: December 24, 2014, 03:55:28 AM
Yup, to produce one bitcoin is about $300 now (at least for me). So I don' think it is going down below $300, because people can always stop mining and buy bitcoin with the expected electricity charges.
364  Other / Off-topic / Re: Turning life upside down, 250k. on: December 24, 2014, 03:53:20 AM
Hello, I have just won a total of 250k worth of BTC, how would you go about it and transfer the money into an apartment, taxing as little as possible.

Can I get a loan?

This is the scenario:

- You have been homeless the past 2 years, with litte to no income(apart from betting)

- You have 50k in debt to variouse bills(small things) of that 50k about 40k is student loan.

- Apartment price is little expensive; 400k for a decent 2 room apartment.

- You have just found a job paying 10k a month(old nice friend offered)

How would you turn your life upside down? without risking to much from gov. eating your lucky money?

Since you said you have a job paying 10k a months, getting loan should be pretty easy for 400k apartment. Next you should really pay back all the bills, student loan etc especially if those charges high interest rate.

Then you can keep the remaining in bitcoin or whatever you like. Just make sure don't go to some gambling site Smiley
365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a way to earn 50$ in a month from faucets ? on: December 24, 2014, 03:35:16 AM
Faucets earn money by ads. Its not possible to click more than $50 ads in a month.

It depends on the traffic for the faucets site. $50 a months is actually really low. I have saw people earning more then $10,000 a month just by google adsense.
366  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 13000 cubic feet freezer - any use to a potential mining rig? on: December 24, 2014, 03:31:52 AM
I've been looking for some space for a potential small-scale mining operation, and I came across a property that has a freaking large-scale commercial freezer, like 30 ft by 60 ft by 8 ft, around 13,000 cubic feet. I'm still waiting to get more information on the freezer - how much power draw, walk-in or, wide-open doors like in the super market - and will get back to you.

I read over this archived thread here, but not much information on a large scale freezer
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=114296.40

Any way to make it work for cooling? Even to cool the place, can I open that baby up and let the cold air through during the summer months? Or leave the miners inside? Or just forget about it, no use whatsoever, just takes up space. Even if it's less effective than A/C, if it can save costs on purchasing new A/C, then it may be worthwhile.

More importantly, if it is a giant freezer, a/c that can make a big space cold. That means it is going to consume a lot of power. Mining profit margin is already so small and if you add that, you might not ROI forever...

Ventilation is cheaper and better..
367  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The difficulty HAS BEEN REDUCED!!!! on: December 24, 2014, 03:28:53 AM
I believe this hash rate reduce is just temporary, look at S5. Batch 1 just come out for sale and its sold out in a day. Still a lot of miners buying hardware...
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7950 GX2 Mining possible ? on: December 24, 2014, 03:15:25 AM
Is there any way to use this card for mining ?

Have 3 of them and would be cool to use them anyway.

any 7950 is really good for mining, because they are one of the most efficient card in term of mining/electricity usage. You can try mining x11 algo as it is among the most profitable algo for today. A good place to start is wafflepool.com or nicehash.com

370  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: December 20, 2014, 01:29:53 PM
Faucets is a better time waster then watching TV and playing online games. At least you get something out of it.

372  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BULL RUN has BEGUN? on: December 20, 2014, 01:20:29 PM
Just more like some recovery then bull run, it will stagnant again after few days.
373  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining job for an IT pro? on: December 20, 2014, 01:05:25 PM
Hopefully not too far off topic...

With mining being so specialized, would you consider a full-time mining job a career killer?  I'd hate to wake up in 5 years to realize that my skills have gone to crap and find myself unemployable.

Thoughts?

Well, you don't really need many knowledge to run ASICs. But if you know how to make them and repair the chips then yes, it can be a good full-time job.
374  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: USB Block Erupter sucks on: December 20, 2014, 01:00:44 PM
Hi guys! I wonder why do people buy block erupters? They are very weak and you need hundreds of them to make bitcoinBTC. I'd never buy a block erupter. Why do people buy them? Huh Sorry, I'm new in the bitcoin business.

Agree, they sucks. But most people buy it to try mining and not for profit. So if you are looking for ROI and profit, please stay away from any USB miners.
375  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone keep $10k+ Worth of BTC in Coinbase/Blockchain? on: December 20, 2014, 10:44:17 AM
Thus keep it there without it in a paper wallet?  I read its very unsafe b/c those are hot wallets but if u plan to do transactions once a week at least, i read paper wallets are not good b/c its meant for long term storage.  Im sure there are lot of ppl that has kept this much money in their accts right?

Why not keep it yourself in your computer, im pretty sure its safer then putting in online wallet. You can always use bitcoin-core as a wallet and some anti-virus software.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Microsoft beat Google to accepting Bitcoin! on: December 20, 2014, 10:40:21 AM
Do people buy things from Microsoft? hahaha.

Well, yes. 90% of the world PC operating system is using window. So what do you think?
377  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: December 20, 2014, 10:38:39 AM
DAM alot of the captcha videos are now removed from youtube so now have to keep clicking till something comes on that can watch and get caption code.

Yup, that sucks really bad. Now we have to waste even more time just to even start mining..
378  Other / Off-topic / Re: How often do you check bitcoin price? on: December 20, 2014, 10:25:05 AM
I use to check it at least 6 or 7 times a day but I don't do that anymore nowdays maybe once or twice (at most)

Only once a day usually unless I am getting ready to buy or sell, right now I already bought all I want and waiting for it to rise at least $400 before deciding to do something with it..
379  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining using Android ? on: December 20, 2014, 10:22:45 AM
It may be a stupid question but I was wondering if it's possible to mine using our Android phones or iOS . I'am new at mining world and never mined , not even using my Computer .
I've found this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jordanrulz.droidbtc&hl=en

Does it really work ? and most of all It worth it or not ? Or I will just kill my battery and I won't have any cash at all. Gracias Grin

You can actually mine all type of coins using andriod because the chip inside is GPU. The only reason you shouldn't do that is because you will break your andriod and get nothing at all..
380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price are dropping? on: December 20, 2014, 10:21:01 AM
Majority make huge loses so if they sell it they can claim some tax. Expect the price to rise on January.
