361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: April 19, 2018, 02:53:00 PM
Guys, I know that many of you have already discussed this issue regarding quitting gambling as it is addictive, and I know that this thread is just like any other one. But forgive me because I am really sick of seeing people committing suicide because they are in big debts. I would like to speak my mind.

So, guys. Quitting gambling has to be done by quitting yourself. What I mean by that statement is that you should no longer be yourself or what you are. You are now a man of greed and addiction. Who was the person you were before you start gambling? Perhaps you were addicted to something else. Perhaps you were just a normal man living a normal life. Now you are a different person. What I want you to do is that you should be aware that gambling too much will make you lose yourself. Second off, you should sit with yourself and write down the negative effects of gambling. Do not be like "What if I win next time, what if I get lucky next time." No, that is not you who is talking but your greed. Do not give yourself false hopes because "What if" is a term used to talk about unreal action in the past or the future. You can neither change the past nor be accurate about what future will be like.

Then you should practice positive self-talk. Fill yourself with positiveness. Have a strong willpower and determination because believe me, once you are committed to something, you will attain it. If you want to give up gambling, then you can do it because other people and I gave it up.
I used to gamble a lot with my friends and I would be lying if I said I did not learn many things. But the negative effects overcame the positive ones. I took a decision to stop gambling. I filled my time with various activities. In time, I started to forget about gambling. It is like moving on. If you want to move on, get yourself from the routine you used to be in. Your brain is functioned about a certain routine. You will find it hard to adapt to the new routine, but believe me, in time you will get used to it.

I hope you guys achieve what you aspire. And I hope this thread will help you, even though I am sure I am going to get negative feedback. But it is okay, I am open to everything. Have a lovely day, Hadoooken!

I totally agree to your wall of text. If you want to gamble be responsible and not make the people around you to suffer with you also, when you win maybe people around you like your wife or son might have a good life for few days but when you lose all you have and you start to borrow from people money they will be living in hell. You can gamble but please gamble by not affecting people around you, when you start gambling you either win or lose but eventually in the end you will still lose back what you win and much more if not why there is not much betting platforms from online to offline.

362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin ? on: April 18, 2018, 11:18:35 AM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink

I believe it is the cost involve and the lacking of bitcoin ability for accepting payment. If you are able to provide some scaling solution to the btc, it will be very beneficial to aiding the drawback of bitcoin.

364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will increase Bitcoin adoption the most? on: April 18, 2018, 08:34:46 AM
Everyone is focussed on the price these days, but we should rather shift that focus to the things that matter more, like Bitcoin adoption. When you look at Bitcoin adoption, you are faced with many challenges that can influence Bitcoin adoption and for this reason we should isolate the biggest challenge first and solve that.

So, in your opinion, what would you say is the single biggest challenge that we need to solve to increase Bitcoin adoption?

Here are some of the challenges :

1. We need more Bitcoin ATMs.
2. We need a higher Bitcoin price to draw investors.
3. We need a killer Application that solves real world problems
4. We need a killer Game that would go viral.
5. We need more Bitcoin exchanges to create competition and lower fees.
6. We need better Hardware wallets, with more security and user-friendly features.
7. We need a lower Bitcoin price and cheaper coins to attract more investors. <affordability>
8. We need more Bitcoin merchants to increase demand for coins.
9. We need a army of fighters to combat FUD. <writing counter arguments and exposing shills>
10. We need to solve the scaling problems. <Fast track the Lightning Network>

So let's see what you think is the highest priority challenge that we need to solve to increase Bitcoin adoption.  Wink Feel free to motivate your decision.

I believe all the challenges above mention do play their part in attracting more potential investors and create more awareness to the public. I believe the help of government by not banning bitcoin will be the most beneficial to btc adoption. But government will not want to grow this decentralize platform which will put the centralized platform to risk, in another way our best option is go a longer way which is through big companies that adopt the usage of btc, and at the same time government will want to attract more MNCs into the country for tax and infrastructure purpose. So by attracting the MNCs the government have no choice but to be more lenient on the approach of btc.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have Altcoins finally escaped the bear market!?!?! on: April 12, 2018, 07:25:16 AM
I am not so optimistic for now yet as long as the price does not drop to a new low i am happy allready. From the last few days i did see the bear might be losing off steam but after rising for awhile the bear go into the market and push the price back to the original point.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would make you trust an ICO? on: April 12, 2018, 07:13:38 AM
For me it is good whitepaper= substantial info of the whole project
website = The website is nicely done and the links that are clickable should be clickable i do experience before some websites the link are not responsive and my confidence for the project drop to bottom.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell house to buy bitcoin if it drops below $ 5000? on: April 12, 2018, 03:24:10 AM
I will advise yo to stop if you need to sell house to purchase btc or eth even if you are able to win 10 times in a row which will definitely increase the human greed in anyone. You will definitely have a big fall someday if you cannot lose those money that you invest. It is something like borrowing money from a bank or credit card just without the interest imposed. Trade with caution and don't do this type of risky investment.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is officially dead on: April 11, 2018, 01:59:48 PM
What makes you think that ethereum is officially dead? Price fluctuation in any investment instrument is inevitable especially crypto, big percentage of crypto price is determine by supply and demand and recent news on regulation for crypto definitely will make eth goes up and down. So i will see up and down is just a normal cycle.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: April 11, 2018, 01:46:13 PM
I have slowly buy into the market bit by bit as i got confidence in the price will regain from the recent low and will go higher and this is a good chance to make use of since btc and other coins value going through a drastic drop at the moment.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What factors can affect to price of bitcoin? on: April 11, 2018, 01:07:34 PM
The things that can affect the price of btc most probably is the supply and demand of the general public, i do suppose that the global economy do plays a part in deciding the price of btc as well.
371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start Trading for newbie on: April 11, 2018, 12:33:23 PM
You can start of with doing bounties while you learn to pick the right ico that will perform. If you want to go into the market directly i will suggest buying eth and btc as they have a better value compare to the ico coins offered in the market.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: April 11, 2018, 04:29:02 AM
From my view we should not be afraid of crypto as crypto compare to bank the biggest difference is bank being centralize and crypto being decentralize. If crypto is adopt by vast majority the bank stand will be shaken. So they rather destroy the enemy than wait for being destroy by the enemy.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Statistically speaking, Is Ethereum undervalued? Probably on: April 11, 2018, 01:47:27 AM
Ethereum is definitely undervalue as last few months was on a bear trend and the value of ethereum drops to a low. Even if it goes back the value of last year peak i still think the value is still under, if we use bitcoin as a comparison ethereum have a big room to growth if it is more widely use like bitcoin and ethereum technology wins bitcoin by quite an amount just take the transaction it can do.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you surprised at the price of ETH? on: April 04, 2018, 03:16:05 PM
I am not really surprised at the price of ETH now as i have been in the crypto market for years so up and down in market is not shocking to me but ETH current value definitely amazed me, i guess is due to the over bull market end of last year and this is a correction to it.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Does participating from an airdrop got you big rewards? on: April 04, 2018, 10:14:58 AM
Participating in airdrop definitely can give you big rewards some time but the rate of getting big rewards is very rare. You can either have your own airdrop group or channel to increase the amount of tokens you will receive per airdrop you do or join a very active airdrop group and do every airdrop and hope the tokens value will moon.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence on: April 04, 2018, 08:08:17 AM
I do stand on your side firstly they do KYC is to protect themselves if any of their country authorities need those info for investors i can understand that, but they are doing airdroping and also require KYC which is quite a stupid thing since they are airdropping for free we also need to register which make no sense at all.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had $50, what would you invest in? on: April 04, 2018, 04:38:50 AM
If i have $50 since the amount is not big and i will choose a specific coin to invest all my 50 into it. Currently i am looking at the haven coin and if not i want to invest i will put the 50 to exchange for their coins.
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have not earned a coin in my wallet my ether wallet on: March 28, 2018, 12:14:48 PM
I am not very sure of how the wallet you had download work. I will recommend you metamask which is a chrome extension and it has double security compare to some of the market wallets and accept most of the ERC 20 tokens.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the markets are being manipulated right now? on: March 28, 2018, 12:09:20 PM
I believe there is a possibility for that, the big players might make use of this chance when the global markets have some unstable news that will terrify the smaller investors from investing and go out of the market with net loss. At the same time they can make use of this chance to buy potential tokens/ eth at a all time low price and also having a greater profit margin.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you day trade or prefer a long term hold? on: March 26, 2018, 05:00:13 AM
So I'm slowly going into crypto and I want to know if any of you trade altcoins daily, or you prefer to hold it for long term? What do you think it's better and why?

Thanks

I prefer to do long term trade as it minimize the time needed of me to monitor the market for my portfolio. When you see a trend coming riding it is easier and time saving and cost saving at the same time so it is better than day trading or swing trading.
