People should once and for all realise, that governments don't guarantee anything. What is more, it's quite dangerous to blindly rely on public financial institiutions, insurances etc. as if government is in need, it will do anything it wants with your money.
Of course if they were forced to pay money, they have right to demand what have been promised them.

It would be interesting to see how whole global economy is competing for only 21millions Bitcoins (minus 1 million that belongs to Satoshi ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) ). In that case predictions of monetary value of Bitcoin many times higher than now sound logical.

I bet Hitler made Bitcoin to prepare world for incoming 4th Reich No matter who was the creator, good job has been done.

Mining is now the least profitable and safe way to earn bitcoins, unless you have a mining farm in a country with really cheap electricity. Home-scale mining will not let you earn as much as a good sig campaign with high rank at the moment, if you ever break even what I doubt.

If one bitcoin is worth one million dollars, how is it remotely imaginable that these exchanges will not just run off with the coins?
Assuming that trade volume would be on current level, BTC-e for example would earn 15396*0,2%= 30,7BTC = over 30 millions $ of daily income. Still tempting to commit robbery? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) But volume in single exchange couldn't be as huge as it is now, because: - in most cases people will change some satoshis only - world's BTC exchange volume would be dispersed on much more places and services than now, because such valuable asset surely will attract everybody's attention

It depends. If that price would be an effect of a sudden pump/bubble like in Nov 2013 I would sell 50% of my savings. If it'd be an result of steady growth I'd hold.
either it would be a steady growth or not i would hold. i believe that bitcoin can reach much more than 1000 dollars what already previously happened. to sell at least 50 percent of my funds it would have to grow to at least 2k dollars In case of pump'n'dump I'd buy back after crash, forgot to mention ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

In the mid of 2011 I've mined 0,7BTC with Radeon HD6950. It took me several hours. Sold for 5$ then forget about cryptos for over 2 years. Know dat feeling bro ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

My girlfriend had her own 3x R9280x scrypt miner I think that she is more familiar with cryptocoins idea than my brother for example.

Price fluctuations are capturing people's imagination, therefore they can't see more important thing: bitcoin's level of adaptation, which remains on steady growth. That is the determinative factor of Bitcoins (and any other crypto) status.

Assuming all altcoins will survive most of them will be worth ~0.00000001 DOGE. Yes! Let's make DOGE exchange for all exiled shitcoins

This thread is just simply speculation about BTC price in x years. As I am still <30 and have time and will I am carefully long term trading my bitcoins. Main advantage of this is that I am in touch with market so I won't let my savings to significantly drop in value. Of course my target is to earn on my trades so I assume that I will gain more and more btc not only from converting fiat. And one day I'll put part of my savings into cold storage away from exchanges ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Darkcoin must become the next big thing, too many innovations of what bitcoin should be, to not be. I don't understand how ripple is so popular.
I understand how DRK is so popular - people don't want to miss the epic pump train driven by dev, who is manipulating coin price with tons of instamined DRK. Don't forget to get off on proper station, as it gonna fall down hard in a halfway to the promised moon. Ripple is a product that lacks of many values introduced to people by Bitcoin. In my opinion it tries to be a internet currency with a "human face", but it's not so far away from banking system imho.

I have sent 4000HBN when my wallet was synchronizing and now its still unconfirmed. What I have to do?
tx ID:
ac18d928373fca025e65df74f8c22d356f350867baf021237493059c6e6e2dcc
but block explorer shows nothing.
You can try the rpc command: resendtx After that transaction status has changed to 'conflicted'.

Debit_AE means that your coins already have been sent to the exchange and you have to wait untill they will be traded and BTC sent back to you. Time depends on amount and type of coins. For me i took about 20h to get BTC but payout was nice ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

1. We don't make raw transaction, just send bitcoin by default wallet, default API. So we don't decide tx fee, but just selected by wallet. Do you want us to send you bitcoin first to your address? You would send us double sent coins when first transaction arrives.
Ok. Looks like transaction has been reversed or something, have to wait I suppose. 2. Hub switches only when current coin is mined. If we don't find any block but switch coin to coin, then we will get nothing as profitability jumps up and down. Well, some days ago, we stopped auto profit switching for a while for maintenance. Maybe you saw that happened.
That makes sense ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Anyway, your pool is great and I appreciate your work ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
