362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone design the tails side of Bitcoins, or it will look like this! on: June 18, 2011, 08:17:59 AM
I vote everyone, or whoever wishes, should make their own bitcoins with the heads being the B side and the other side have a QR code. The QR code can be whatever they want relating to bitcoin. Each project can have their own QR code. the kids will love it and will want to "collect them all!" and it will come in a cereal box.

366  Economy / Goods / Re: amazing gemstones on: June 18, 2011, 07:51:37 AM
You have very nice Gemstones. It is nice to see this stuff being offered for BTC. I just finished an entry level Jewelery Crafting class with my girlfriend at a local college. It was fun.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Los Angeles Bitcoin Meetup. on: June 18, 2011, 07:40:50 AM

i got two people interested already so there are 3 of us already. two miners, and someone interested in buying around 1K usd worth of bitcoins. I dont have that many bitcoins but if someone else in LA was willing to meet up with us we can sell him some.

and maybe other miners/buyers can get together and exchange also.

*Update*
Second Los Angeles Bitcoin Meeting will be on July 9, 2011 Saturday at 4:00PM at a park in Burbank. Place will be same as last time. Please call to let me know your coming and how many friends your bringing if any.

Los Angeles Represent!

I would like to host a Bi-Weekly Bitcoin Meetup Group in Burbank, CA. I think meeting people in person and sharing ideas can help ferment ideas, build trust, and connect people to work together outside the forums.

Possible ideas for discussion:
How to get more people involved in bitcoin.
Pooling together to rent a space for mining ( if theres enough people )
Coming up with ideas for good websites, promotions, and other stuff.
Setup a local exchange in Los Angeles.
Buying and Selling Bitcoin in Person.
How to secure wallets

Please email me at Sebuh@live.com if you are interested.

The first meeting went well. We had 4 people show up and we discussed a lot of great ideas and tested some software for one of the people that showed up.

+1 to you!

I found that in the info tab on the catalyst driver page has the correct info posted if you open it on after overclocking in overdrive. overdrive will keep the values incorrect but will make the changes. i found this out myself earlier today but thanks for replying to my post. i appreciate it. ill tip ya either way if ya want though. thanks again.

thankz.

Sometimes the info page doesn't show the right data. Often a reboot of AMDOverdriveCtrl fixes it. From my own experience, what's shown on the overdrive tab is correct, on the Info tab not always correct.

378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: VideoCards4Sale, Los Angeles,CA on: June 13, 2011, 07:07:46 AM
when there are none available the price goes up. yea, im trying to make a quick buck on the craze so i can try to setup a more long-term mining project myself. there is a shortage and im trying to capitalize on it. if people want it that bad and buy it, is it my fault?

if your on this website, your trying to make money. instead of mining bitcoins i mined a 6990 today and i can exchange that for bitcoins/usd.

the demand has shot the price up. used ones sell for 1000 on ebay.

the demand has diminished the supplies.

you have to try to make a hustle wherever you can do it.

heres my ebay listing for the item. look my girlfriends holding it. Grin

how do i lower the clock of my memory speed while in linux coin? amdoverdrive allows me to change it, BUT on the Info page it shows as 920 1050 being stock, and it being 1000/1050 after overclocking. how do i get the memory to go down?

this is an msi r6870.

will thro a coupl o bitcents at the person that goes out of their way to try and help me out.

thankz.
