We got the test-net up, and after some initial issues and investigations, we were able to get some blocks staked. This is good news because it means we were right about our hunches. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) More info soon *edit* Test-net properly staking and we are making transactions. Exciting times for Cannacoin folks Special thank you to dfletcher the Shibecoin dev for giving us a few minutes of his time to help us out!

thank you, will do ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) only 19 days left of the ICO auction How much progress on the QT wallet features do you expect to finish by launch?

they´ll come around some day. stay strong sister, stay strong ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) still watching CXC, which i think is a more practical product for most users and the crypto market. LKNX is a great idea that looks like the groundwork is done just waiting for implementation by the company

Good news we have the test-net up and running already. More info to come

How's the PoSV code update progressing?
Here's the deal with the POSV transition... we believe the code is correct, but it can't be tested without launching it on the entire network - which is risky. Josh and I have looked through the code repeatedly over and over and we know exactly where the issue that is preventing us from properly testing the protocol is (generating stake blocks) and we believe we know why it is happening. So we have decided to setup a Cannacoin testnet in order to test everything before launching it. Unfortunately, we didn't realize how necessary this would be until now. It will be very valuable for us to launch a test-net for future protocol changes and testing, so better late than never. We should have the test-net setup by this afternoon and begin testing late tonight. Anyone that is interested in compiling the testnet client and setting up a node would be providing a very helpful service - however, you will need to have some linux/unix skills. Alternatively, if you like you can setup an Ubuntu installation and install TeamViewer so we can access it as a remote PCThe guy from this site is an honorable person (I think...) http://altcoin.center/I would recommend getting in on their services early. There isn't much more than addnodes right now but I expect big things with their services 6 months from now. I would try to pre-pay for 1 or 2 years as prices for services like this will only increase. Thanks, I'm going to forward that info. We have the test-net up and running now and we will setup seed nodes and a test-net faucet soon.

The side that the customer will see is easy and straight forward - but the backend that we are building is what will make everything work for everyone, everywhere there is Internet. /join #CXC on freenode IRC for minute to minute chat and events. This looks cool

We've already had a few people approach us to run test-net nodes... thank you to those folks. If you need some help jump on #cannacoin IRC freenode https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/cannacoin/If anyone wants to join our Mumble server for real-time assistance, send me a pm for login details

Hi all
We are still working non-stop on the POSV transition... we believe the code is correct, but it can't be tested without launching it on the entire network - which is risky. Josh and I have looked through the code repeatedly over and over and we know exactly where the problem is and we believe we know why it is happening. Basically, we need more nodes on the network and more coins staked in order to have the wallet actually stake. It's the chicken or the egg problem.
So we have decided to setup a Cannacoin testnet in order to test everything before launching it. Unfortunately, we didn't realize how necessary this would be until now. It will be very valuable for us to launch a test-net for future protocol changes and testing, so better late than never.
We apologize for the delay. Solarcoin has many options of course including a buy-back, however, we intend to get this working no matter what. Thanks
Good stuff. It's comforting knowing there will be a simulated/testing environment ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Do you know how long it will take to A) build the testnet, and B) test the updated code? Thanks again! Thanks, we should have the test-net setup by this afternoon and begin testing late tonight.

It looks like CCN CannaCoin is also trying to go to ReddCoins PoSV. If you have any problems during the switch, I'm sure they will help you if they can. They're into collaborating and helping others. That's good intel! Thanks for the heads up! One of the things that I'm considering in my IDCoins project is an 80/20 POS/POW system that would put more coins into the economy via TXFEE's -- that would encourage POW mining. Might be interesting to do with Givecoins as well... Gotta have a coin that is transacting and not being hoarded for the sole benefit of miners and investors IMHO The whitepaper is visible (while I'm working on it) at: http://bit.ly/idcoinsThat's an interesting idea to allow mining for txfees. I've talked to a few people about that and we've discussed it internally a bit. We are always open to working together with other developers to achieve common goals and learn from each other. Here's the CCN-REDD github we are working on: https://github.com/Cannacoin-Project/ccn-redd

[2Give] / GiveCoin 2.0 is also trying to switch from PoW into PoSV. The CCN devs may want to be in contact with the devs from 2GIVE who are trying to go to ReddCoins PoSV. The devs can all discuss things and help the process along which would make sure things go as well as possible.
That would be interesting to chat with them and see their progress.

True. The CCN, Cannacoin, Cannapay, devs are a real scam team. They FUD, LIE, PARTICPATE IN ILLEGAL ACTIVITY in their forum, and MORE! Looks like they are another SILK ROAD v3.0 about to get raided! Looks like feds gonna have a hay day on this.
Cannabis is legal in Washington state both recreational and medical. Everything is 100% legal that we do. We don't take a single cent for anything from anyone nor do we facilitate any marketplace transactions. We also didn't premine our coin and try to hide it like some other devs. On top of that, we actually do our own coding. Cheers, Patrick

To the dev team -
How is moving to PoS going effect CCN emission, both in time and final mintage? If this information is already public, I missed.
Thanks!
Well, final mintage is hoping to be around 4,200,000 coins at ~1% yearly interest.

Is this coin able to work on mobile phones yet? I might know a store that's interested in bartering cannabis for cannacoin.
Right now you can use Cannapay.io for mobile devices to make trades and send, but we haven't integrated the QR scanning yet. Our next steps are adding QR code scanning for mobile devices... hopefully in two weeks time. Once that is done then it will be a great staging platform for mobile payments and point-of-sale. We've got all resources currently focused on the POSV transition and new wallets, we'll know more soon... thanks for your support Nice. I hope you don't do something stupid during the transition to POSV like requiring users to actively participate in some sort of coin swap. I didn't bury paperwallets in my backyard just to dig them up anytime soon. The whole point of the POSV transition is NOT to do a coin swap. That's how it's supposed to be done and that's what we are aiming to achieve. Thanks
