Guys, in order to have everyone on board during launch time and avoid doing the launch at 3am we decided to have a precise date for it instead of it happening when we hit block 62500. I have #Pig in hot wallet, paper wallet and on exchange.
I suppose there will not be any catch converting from any of those, right?

Question about the pre-mined piggies.
Since you cut the supply by 75% are you cutting (destroying) your pre-mined coins by 75%?
If not, you're pre-mined coins (may) have just gotten a little more valuable.
I see the cynical people shining a negative light on that.

PiggyDev I'm not sure if you have the new coin already coded and good to go, but the x11 algorithm is already on massive Chinese multipools. The x13 variety seem to have more 'organic' hashrate, be it from lack of rentals and general knowledge. I don't mean to be picky, but 5 things come to my attention here:
1) 7 days POW phase is going to be a LOT of coins dumped in a short amount of time.
2) X11 algo is going to instantly mean ipominer, rentals et all put 50gh/s+ on the coin and poloni won't be able to handle the dumpfest.
3) The word about this isn't getting out like Piggy Week did, we should put up a banner on coinmarketcap and coinwarz.
4) We haven't reached out to enough pools yet. When the good pools like Dedicated and Suchpool pre-register for a coin, they have about 30mh/s combined of followers that will provide 'word of mouth' advertising on IRC which will greatly ramp up the excitement.
5) Poloni isn't a bad exchange, but getting on Mintpal through the voting system requires effort that no one will ever give. The best way to get on that exchange is to simply start a pump.
Anyways, really looking forward to this we've put quite a bit of effort into Piggy since launch. No where near as much as Mr PiggyDev, but more than we usually put into any coin we host. I'll try to round up some pools right now.
I have the coin coded, i'm only doing the branding atm but I can try to implement x13. I thought about that but some people said it wasnt a good idea, the most important being coinking.io saying that they don't support x13 yet. 1) I've been seeing a lot of coins doing it this way and reaching success, that's why I choose 7 days. 2) If there is a consensus I think I can still implement x13 if you guys want. 3) I will start hyping a little closer to the launch, this is where the community can help too 4) I can also do this, I just have to finish off the coin (and implementing x13 if you guys want) 5) I can't help with this, I'm not a big market guy and my rule is let it run as the market wishes. EDIT: I talked yo the coinking.io guys and they are adding x13 atm! Is this something we all agree on or should I make a vote? |

For long term "buy and forgett for years" investors, this is like "fuck you idiots"  I feel sorry for every single one of them who don't check this forum regulary and will loose all their coins.... Would you prefer to keep the exchange service running for more time? What would be the perfect duration? |

curious what would happen if some old wallets never change their coins, will they just become lost coins? Nice to see coinking developing a multipool, but really hope in the future piggycoin would own their own multipool. Mining is a huge part of the education of cryptos, so it's only fitting for Piggy to have their own Pool to teach about mining even though it's indirect mining. You could call it the Piggy Pen This is a good point. I'm assuming there's going to be a "pot" of coins which are available for changing over, and if for instance, only 200m of the coins are changed over, what will happen with the other 50m? I seriously doubt it would be that many not changed, but there's going to be people out there who's wallets were lost / hard drives crashed / people who forget about them? Will there also be a time limit on this? I know some friends of mine who are simply saving their coins for a couple of years to see what happens to the market. Good questions sirs! I'm sure a piggy-only pool can happen but at the moment I think we will be very well served with coinking. Those guys are amazing greentea. About the not changed coins... Services (shop, exchanges, graphs) for the old blockchain will cease to exist and at a certain point in time people will turn off their miners since the block reward is going to be null. it won't be converted automatically but you can do the exchange directly with poloniex addresses. Thanks, and a second one because I'm not familiar with POS (and I wouldn't be if it wasn't the PIGGY). Is my interest rate calculated in exchanges or the coins should be in my wallet? You will be able to exchange them for new ones. 1:1, no fees. How will we change it and when? can we change it when coin release on exchange site? A website will be available shortly after we release PoS PIG. You won't be able to make the change directly on poloniex, bittrex, swiccex, etc.. You will send the coins to an address and receive the new ones with a new PIGGY PoS address. The guys behind coinking.io are developing the website and they told it's almost done |
