It goes to show how short-sighted most of the Bitcoin-community is. No idea what the actual implications and possibilities are for cryptocurrency. Bitcoin became lazy and 99% of the altcoins don't offer much threat to Bitcoin. Bitcoin hasn't been innovative for too long and now NLG is being hated on for a low trade volume, but nobody seems to understand that a huge trade volume is useless without a good foundation to build from. Besides that, we're talking about an altcoin that is not even four months old. 4 months old. Yes. That's right. All this good stuff you've read in the last 145 pages, has been accomplished in under 4 months. Imagine another 4 or even 8 months to complete the year and see where this coin is. Come back in 8 months if you have no faith in this coin to see if it actually went somewhere.
Guldencoin has learned from the mistakes of others and implements functions and releases software that benefit the users and the entrepreneurs, not the daily trader to pump the coin and let it die. Guldencoin will be the first altcoin in the world that will actually be used successfully in daily life as form of payment, along side being traded. And if that is for a BTC volume of 50 or 10. I really don't care. Dutch making history, once again. Because everyone else is looking at making (more) money and not the actual world-impact of a proper altcoin.
Nobody cares about a chat function in your wallet or so called full-on full-fledged anonymity. I want a coin that is fast and secure and even Bitcoin is slower and non-working half the time in comparison to the Guldencoin-systems. So anyone that hates on NLG for being a low-trade-volume coin or 'oh this is just another pre-mine dump'. Look into the actual details and the proof in the wallets, the strength and unity of this community, the stability of the price and all the updates. It has all the trademarks of an ACTUAL open-source movement. We all want to make money, but where is the f%^%@ ambition within this cryptocommunity to actually write history and become a useful and successful alternative to fiat and actually give people an option to sidestep the banks and give those banks a little less power. A coin that doesn't need a price of $600 a pop to become a success, a stable price of two bits would be enough in Guldencoin's case. An actual coin for and by the people, much clichι, but nonetheless very true.
But hey, just my two cents.
You nailed it! Send you a small donation

Why is the trade volume so low?
Unknown exchange. Even on bittrex the volume is peanuts. People hold on see it as long term investment I don't know. It's also a bit unknown an undiscovered little gem.

Shouldn't we get on https://anycoindirect.eu/ ? I heard they have really fast transaction time after payment, like within a minute.. Yes! That would be great!!! Before they operated under the name bitplaats.nl and only trading btc-eur eur-btc. Before I bought some bitcoin over there, GOOD experience! Now I see they added some of the most popular altcoins also. Because it is a Dutch company I think they will consider... Anyone know what is the best way to approach this? I'v got an email back from there support and at this point they can not add Guldencoin because it's not on any off the exchanges they are working with to auto supply there stock. Did they say what exchange qualify? No they didn't

I have send them an email saying that I'm a big Guldencoin enthusiast and if they would consider adding Guldencoin as it would be cool just to buy Guldens again in Holland and would be a lot easier for normal people to buy Guldencoin via there website than via an exchange like bittrex. Also I gave the link to the official website and to the community ofcourse. When I hear someting I'll report back.

@ guldencoin. When can we expect some of the teasers you were talking about? And did you hear something from thuisbezorgd.nl yet? No response yet, but I am sure its just a matter of time... About the teasers, this week we will launch something very cool for our current and future merchants. It will make accepting Guldencoin much easier and... its awesome. Then iOS, well we are closer to getting the budget together to pay for development and we have contacted a lot of iOS devs, but mostly still waiting for responses. But its weekend so lets see what this week brings us. We will keep you updated about iOS, but please understand its a long term project that's not completely in our own hands. So anyone who knows an iOS dev, please get in touch with us. Nice to hear! You should do some more interviews it was very good for trading volume and attracted lots of new miners.

Sorry guys this one is in dutch.
YouTube link: http://youtu.be/0hJYvUo8ghQ Article: http://debitcoin.org/de-week-van-bitcoin-35-de-terugkeer-van-de-gulden-met-efl-en-guldencoin/ 2 quick questions for those who unfortunately don't speak Dutch: 1. I see one of the top questions on the hangout was (via google translate) "Why use regional virtual currencies instead of the original, namely Bitcoin?". Can anyone briefly summarize how that was answered in the interview? Anything discussed besides the pre-mine distribution of NLG to NL citizens or national pride? 2. Was there any question about merging the 2 efforts and combine forces? IE: offering a period of time to exchange 1 coin for the other at a set rate, then burning the outgoing coin. Assuming one market cap is significantly larger than the other in the future this seems possible. With so many alt-coins out there, seems there is enough competition without having to compete with yourselves. Thanks! --Mark I shall try to give some anwsers, anybody correct me if i'm wrong. your first question. Rijk from guldencoin said that Bitcoin is still small in Holland and it has been a lot in the media but not positif and the dutch people still mis the gulden cause it was a valuable coin, with a real nice design and the gulden was with us a very long time, we got screwed with the euro big time. when we pay with euro it doens't feel like our currency. But guldencoin is not here to replace the euro but to give people the choice to take things in our own hands. second. They asked if they should work together and the man from EFL said he was open for discusion. Dont know what Rijk said I don't remember. But my personal opinion is that it is not a good idea because they don't know where a large part of the premine is, probably still in the shady DEV's hands. I think that coin will die soon and the guy from EFL foundation is probably our big dumper that tryed to kill this coin but this is my personal opinion.
