361  Economy / Economics / Re: What US can do with its dept? Genuine question. on: October 06, 2023, 07:47:12 PM
My country is in huge dept especially after they took several loans form other countries that includes China, but my country is not a power house in terms of economy and that's difference between them and the US, the US took depts and even though ever country is a bit corrupt the US can be able to manage the loans they took and channel it into something productive and then they should be able to clear their depts before the deadline.

But in most developing countries where corruption thrive borrowed money are mostly mismanaged, embezzled or use to be put into things that aren't productive that why it's harder for an underdeveloped country to clear their depts than a developed country.

My major problem right now is not about Bukayo saka, although we know saka has been bringing his A game throughout this season
The biggest threat to any team when they face Arsenal is obviously Saka, this player has remained constituent for Arsenal since he breakout season and many have even compared him with Mohammed Salah although I think he is not yet there but he can surpass Salah in the future.
Aside Saka Martin the captain of Arsenal has also been in good form and generally Arsenal weak Link in the front is Kyle havertz and then they have been letting too many goals pass them and Manchester city is a club that is very good at punishing defense, I fear for Arsenal at the back but I believe they would cause Manchester city lots of problems in the front so let see how the match goes .
363  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Will Bitcoin have a chance in Nigeria if?.. on: October 06, 2023, 05:40:07 PM
As for me I would say yes Bitcoin has a strong chance in Nigeria, I believe Nigeria should be amongst the top Bitcoin and crypto-currency enthusiastic country in Africa and also Nigeria should be up there in the world. We have Nigerians who are recognize and has even been main speakers on the Global stage and example is Gaius (AKA Bitcoin chief).

Yes it's no news that the Nigerian government has chosen to be a menace to crypto-currency enthusiast but so far they have tried but still the resolve of Nigerians is still strong and crypto-currency activities has still been going on. I personally believe its impossible to stop Nigerians from Crypto but it would be wise for the Nigerian government to look beyond their hate and see the opportunity crypto-currency can even offer the country.

_3AC(crypto biggest VC) would subsequently collapse.

_ Blockfi, Celsius and voyagar would go under.

_FTX would implode, and SBF being exposed as one of the world biggest fraudster in financial history.

_ Luna would go to 0.
Well the answer is that many, many that do their research and no just follow hype or trends would have know this would happen or better still anticipated that anything is possible in Crypto-currency and you are meant to also think about the worse possible outcome.

SBF isn't an upright man and if you had looked at his past and that's before the FTX case you would know he had some history of ingenuity. There are always hints and clue you are meant to fix up that can help in carrying out the right decision in crypto-currency but to find them you have to do your research.

Also the cases you wrote is not in any relation with Bitcoin, because some people that had issues with FTX are bitcoiners but rather your approach to crypto-currency is more important than what you are holding .
365  Economy / Economics / Re: A big win for crypto again on: October 05, 2023, 08:16:13 PM
One thing I have know about politics is that it corrupts good manners, there has been many politicians that prior to them being elected into any political post they were upright people with discipline and a mind of their own but since they enter a political role all that changed and in worse cases they become puppet being controlled by those behind the masks.

Regardless this story is part of the small wins that can set up a chain of big wins in terms of crypto-currency adoption but still I don't need the government to accept Bitcoin before I adopt it.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: October 05, 2023, 07:24:31 PM
Brighton is really not finding it easy even after they had started very well in the English premier league they haven't been able to replicate that form in the Europa league this just shows how difficult the European international club football can be different from the domestic league football.

Although one English team that has been impressive in the Europa league has to be westham, the are the defending champions of the Europa conference league now they are actually setting their target on the UEFA Europa league .
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 05, 2023, 06:13:15 PM
Well sad to hear this but still I hope this serves as a learning, firstly your tears actually mean nothing after you must have played a game and you lost the game. Gambling is not a game that the odds are fully in your favor you should always understand that and that is why you should not gamble with any amount you can't afford to lose, and don't gamble with loaned money too.

Gambling is just like investment and trading anything can happen be aware of this possibility so no matter the outcome you should not be surprised about it
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 04, 2023, 08:14:07 PM
I am certainly not surprised that Paris saint Germain and losing to Newcastle right now. I have always had this feeling that the game would go in the favour of Newcastle, Paris saint Germain this season is like any good team in France (I would place Lens ahead of them right now) while Newcastle wants to prove themselves in every match the player, the coach and players are in sync and the fans are loud cheering them on.

For sure Newcastle would go further than the group stage in this seasons UEFA champions league because they actually aren't just a rich club they can actually play good football.

At bull run 2020-21we also experience fraud who will subsequently take advantage of people gullibility to ruin them, Luna, 3AC, Ftx, etc..
Many people who were affected by this are novice, or people that were taking chances with the FOMO created already, using Luna as an example. It has gone parabolic and many people missed out from the profit, so even with the price of Luna dropping many people were still willing to invest in it and even top influencers with high following were creating more FUD and FOMO by posting the amount they have invested in Luna.

The Luna case just goes to show you have to do your own research and not get into decision based on the point of view of an influencer or even what the trend is saying.

Coaches such as Ten Hag will reveal the challenges of managing a prestigious club like Manchester United. The immense pressure persists, even if you're not provided with all the resources you need. Regrettably, Manchester United remains one of the most financially extravagant teams in England.
Like Zlantan Ibrahimovic said in an interview that Ajax and Manchester united aren't the same thing. Ajax are more familiar with developing young talent they are more of an academy where your player become better and big clubs comes to pick them up.

Ten Hag was then former Coach of Ajax and we saw how successful he was there but so far it proves that he wasn't actually ready to step up in ladder. He isn't the type of Coach Manchester united needs because they want results on the big stage and not to build young talents.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Gambling Sportybet (Company) Refund the Money? on: October 03, 2023, 06:22:26 PM
This is not even a question, as far as I am concerned and as a fellow Nigerian it's illegal for someone below the age of eighteen to partake in gambling of any sort in Nigeria, so if he played this game in a Betting office as an under age the owner of the shop he played that game can be involved in this case.

Firstly I would say gambling platforms in Nigeria are getting it wrong when it comes to the age restriction there is no policies to prevent underage from gambling, anyone can just step into the shop or go online to gamble with is wrong. For now I think the big case here is that the boy is an underage gambler .

👉👉Sharing ideas with Idea Killers
Idea Killers can be anyone. It can be your close friend, family or neighbour. Telling them your ideas may easily kill your dream. They easily give you hundreds of reasons why the idea may not work and this may therefore kill the idea in you.
Why not rather change your friends or your circle, you can not completely get it right, there are times you need to share idea with someone that's close for encouragement and even advice or assistant in your idea. I think a successful entrepreneur  has smart people or person around him/her.

👉👉Failure to embrace risk
To achieve in life, you must learn to embrace risk. Everything in life is risk. Mr Johnson has $2000 and he said to himself. The economy doesn't favour any business and I don't want to lose my money, so let me just keep it in bank . He has forgotten that the bad economy system will also hit the money in his account.

Very correct as an entrepreneur or an investor you need to understand that risks would be taken it's almost inevitable but when challenged with risk always have the mind to back down is the risk is a stupid one. Always take calculated risk and weigh your options properly.
373  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase got licensed In Singapore on: October 02, 2023, 07:25:32 PM
Good news for those using Coinbase in Singapore but I believe that when such news comes up we act like Crypto-currency activities hasn't been going on in such countries already, exchanges like Crypto . Com has already been thriving in that region of Asia so this isn't a cause for celebration.

Crypto-currency has gotten main stream that I don't think their is any country in the world that can be restricted from carrying out crypto-currency activities, so the congratulations should go to the exchange because it's good business for them, but newbies never leave your funds on an exchange just a reminder.

I have come to understand that having a negative impact on people close to you or your family could be a sign of compulsive gambling, to the extent that this boy start maltreating his junior ones, I mean inflicting pains on them.
It could also be a sign of mental health illness, emotional heart breaks, financial problems or even could be a sign of drugs and substance abuse.
Not everytime does the negative issues with youth has to be caused by gambling, it's best to do your proper investigation on the person so as to help him/her out than just labelling the cause to be due to gambling side.

I have been gambling for a long while now and I know several gamblers who started before me and we all have happy homes, we do have bad days and just like anyone can have a bad day at work, school, business, investment and all you just find a way to deal with it logically.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Educate yourself to be a frugal gambler on: October 02, 2023, 06:12:26 PM
Play for fun. If you are not playing for fun, you are doing it wrong. Gambling should be done to entertain yourself only, and always remember that gambling is not a sound financial investment. I have witnessed the horrors of people who blow their kids college funds and life savings on gambling at a Casino. Don't be one of these people. Have a daily or weekly gambling budget and learn which games you like and how to play them so that you can actually have much more fun playing them than just winging any game.
I was watching Dana white talk about gambling and I share same reasons with him. Dana white is the head of UFC and definitely he is a successful business man so his approach should not be far from right.

Gambling is fun but If I am not to think wrongly of what Dana white was saying, he meant the present gamblers are taking it as too much of a fun game. Personally I love to gamble on clear head (no alcohol), have fun but still be reasonable enough to make the right decision, have my win target and loss target when either of this is reached I call it a day .

Anthony has been cleared of any wrong doing and that's why he was allowed to rejoin the Manchester United first team training which means that he might feature in United's game against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League competition on Wednesday.
Manchester United lost their last league game against Crystal Palace last weekend in a game many thought they were gonna win comfortably and with the return of Anthony to Erik Ten Hag's team, he might be be the reason they'll win their UEFA Champions League game on Wednesday.
I believe that there should be a law on the females who made the accusations when ever the accusations were found to be Force, because this sort of scandals and image can really affect the player physically and mentally leading to drop in form or worse depression. Also false accusations can really affect the females who are genuinely going through such situations and can affect their voice from not being heard or seen as another false accusations.

Well I hope Anthony really recovers from this and come back even stronger because with Manchester united current form the would need all their players to be at their best or close to their best.
377  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian religious institution accepting crypto on: October 02, 2023, 05:23:38 PM
What I have to say here is that, it's only churches that are desperate for money that will start displaying bitcoin address to their members for tithe and offering, because for me personally, I believe that as long as fiat is still a very dominant means of exchange in our societies today, I see no need or reason why any church should rush to start accepting bitcoin for tithes and offering..
I think so too And I blame the Nigerian society for this. I'm Nigeria where we all dey. Many people don't have the full understanding of who is referred to as a Crypto-currency enthusiast, the society or most people in the society who has low understanding believes that's any one involved in crypto is a Yahoo boy(internet fraudster) and that's why this pastors feel they should tap into that sector of the society.
378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I need a mentor in my bitcoin journey. on: October 02, 2023, 05:19:10 PM
First you don't have the basic knowledge to be able to understand the characters you want your mentor to have so you made not make the best decision when you selecting a mentor, I am not saying it's not important but I don't think it's the first thing you need right now.

First as a newbie you need to understand what Bitcoin and Crypto-currency is all about, you don't need to have an expert knowledge just the basics and you can find that by doing your research and you have this forum to always ask your questions. Then after you must have gained so bit of knowledge you should be able to understand which path you want to follow and which mentor best suits you

Even though am a big fan of Bitcoin, it wouldn't make you filthy rich, unless you have a large capital, the real money is in the Alt where the high risk are, just pick the right one.
You can't be a big fan of Bitcoin an be advocating/giving advice to other to pick up Altcoins. If you don't think investors can get rich of Bitcoin why do you think they would off altcoins. The rise in price of altcoins is usually influenced by how we Bitcoin is doing. And it's a blind gamble when you ignore the fact that you can slowly accumulate Bitcoin rather than wanting the quick road and blowing capitals on altcoins. Many altcoins has poor team, scam, built off fake hype and promises.

I’d like to know what motivates you to invest in a speculative asset like Bitcoin?
I have never had problems in continuing to hodl Bitcoin the issue why it seems that many people thinks of giving up is that they are mostly investors and every investor wants to make profits but the crypto-currency market is volatile with it's up and downs. But I see Bitcoin than just an investment opportunity I see it as a financial system offering solutions the traditional financial system couldn't handle with this I don't need much motivation to continue.

What is the driving force that encourages your continuity in the Bitcointalk forum?
Firstly I would gain nothing to discontinue the forum, first tye forum has been pivotal in me developing my knowledge of Crypto-currency and till now I still find it very helpful, I have come to also see that you get real time information on Crypto-currency that you may not readily get outside and the community is warm.
