361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Stupid mistake on: February 16, 2021, 08:54:55 AM
I messed up pretty bad this morning, I got 4 risers I was trying to install and I mistakenly insert one riser in the wrong direction, I saw a smoke from the slot and I instantly remove the riser but little do I know that my gpu won't ever display again
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rejected shares rising in number on: February 12, 2021, 09:30:24 AM
The last time i used nicehas was around june last year and i agree that the rejected share on nicehash is definitely bigger than when using phoenix miner + other mining pool. If the issue is not because of unstable overclock then you should change the mining pool. If you are a small miner then i guess ethermine is good because they can pay you every 2 weeks, other pool usually set their minimum withdrawal at 0.05 which will take a few weeks if you are a small miner. You can also consider flexpool, their server is great and i got less stale with them, but you have to pay for the network fees when you want to withdraw your eth.
Thats the problem with other Ethereum mining pools, if you want to withdraw you have to pay for the withdrawal fee which is very high right now but it's better to mine into binance exchange ETH wallet or use binance Ethereum mining pool, anyone use binance pool before?
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rejected shares rising in number on: February 12, 2021, 06:42:28 AM
Thanks for the reply @ adaseb and others, I will have to wait till I get to the minimum withdrawal amount, I already mined up to 18$ on the pool right now, the rejected shares is too much and annoying , hashrate reward is low on nicehash and shares are getting rejected too? I can't cope with this
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Rejected shares rising in number on: February 12, 2021, 06:00:15 AM
Alright now I'm pissed  Angry, I mine using Nicehash for more than 10 hours overnight, when I woke up this morning I see 1085 shares accepted and 102 shares rejected, I'm sure this isn't normal, or is it? Isn't 102 rejected shares too much Huh
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem with nicehash and pools on: February 11, 2021, 09:02:15 PM
Every pool profitability fluctuates, that's a real fact about crypto pool, some times I've seen where by nicehash becomes more profitable than other pools but lasted only for some time, I've also see where by other pools like spark and poolin tops the chart
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust wallet vs Atomic wallet staking on: February 11, 2021, 07:58:15 PM
I think it depends on the coin you stake, few coins on atomic wallet have higher ROI so whatever you heard is true, I just prefer to stake on binance exchange instead, I use the exchange to trade from time to time and I just get hooked to the platform is all, I would choose atomic wallet over trust if that's all that's left
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Defi can compete with BTC? on: February 11, 2021, 07:42:47 PM
DeFi projects are many you know, putting all DeFi projects vs bitcoin isn't a fair head to head challenge to me, also most DeFi projects are nothing but empty words and fake promises, too many DeFi projects got hacked since 2020, you can't compare the security level of bitcoin with DeFi projects, bitcoin is just safer
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash Down? on: February 10, 2021, 02:16:41 PM
Still don't understand what's going on with nicehash Huh, I can't even know how much I'm earning as everything is hidden in the dark, they claimed the maintenance is over but it's really not over, here is what I'm still getting

369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: That extra two pin slot on 8pin GPUs on: February 10, 2021, 11:35:07 AM
The question you need to ask yourself is if 6-pin connector can deliver 150W, I believe that's the work of a 8-pin connector, forget the fact that the extra two pin are just ground wires, what watts that wire is pulling is all that matters
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust Active telegram Groups? on: February 08, 2021, 05:29:32 PM
I don't trust telegram groups. Most of them are scams. But with an active telegram group, we get to know a lot of information about the real running project as well. But it would be better for us if we don't choose the project by seeing its active telegram group. We should more studies about projects than we can invest.
If I recall correctly every crypto projects have a active telegram group, even crypto exchanges have telegram groups too, you can't find out if a project is fake or scam by their activities on telegram group, it doesn't make any sense, you have to do your own research and ask good questions
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using risers with rtx 3070 on: February 08, 2021, 03:35:34 PM
Hello I'm building a rig and everything works when I mine without risers just with my GPUs in pci 16 slots in motherboard. But I am trying to expand and use risers. I tried sata adapters to 6 pin that come with risers and usb gets too hot, I tried using 6 plus 2 pin splitter connected to one of the 8 pin cables that powers gpu and usb got even hotter and bubbled. I did some research and people say that I need to use 8 gen risers and not 6 gen risers that I use. So I just ordered 8 gen risers that have sata upfront without any adapters, will those work? My psu only has 2 gpu slots which I already use, ready are sata, and 2 cpu 8 pins and 2 unmarked 8 pin slots. Does anyone have 3070 rig that uses risers and my type of psu? How do you power those risers?? Thanks a lot)

You really shouldn't be using SATA based risers as you're setting yourself up for a potential fire. SATA's power handling and gauge of cable isn't up to the task to supply enough power to the riser for it to perform at spec.

You should be using 6 Pin preferably as it supplies more than the 75W of power that the riser needs to perform.

Only use the 6Pin's on your risers and use the VGA 6+2Pin's for your GPU's!

Yup I got these risers which don't have sata. I'll be using 6 pin to power them:
https://gpurisers.com/product/preorder-gpurisers-com-newest-version-riser-6-pack-end-of-january-ship-date/

Lol for 59$ per risers? That's way too costly for just a riser, I'm actually using the 006 risers here and I don't see any hot on the sata cable, maybe this have something to do with the way you connect the power? Are you using double power supply?

SATA is not designed to carry 75W.
I've used SATA connection for my riser for months without any fire outbreak, I don't know what to say but it seems that power supply are not on same levels, the thickness of cable that powers my 6pin and 8pin GPUs is the same as the thickness of my SATA cable, honestly powers supply matters
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard wattage consumptions on: February 05, 2021, 01:41:04 PM
If you are using HDD turn that into SDD and also if you don't use CPU to mine your motherboard won't be using more than 60 to 70 watts on its own, it will even be better if you are running on new pc of this generation, they operates with very low watts
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Single PSU 1600w for six 3070? on: February 05, 2021, 10:27:48 AM
I don't know how good the RTX 3070 are when downclocking them, you can get less watt consumption if you download their core voltage, you can get 117 watt draw from a single RTX3070 and six of that will be 702 watts, I believe 1600watts is more than enough mate
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: February 05, 2021, 07:12:33 AM
Don't fool yourselves, scammers will always be on here and now that crypto is really in good shape I believe there will even be more scam projects, make sure you do your own research and avoid scam projects at all cost, do research, ask deep questions, go to scam accusation section on this forum from time to time
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about new projects on: February 05, 2021, 06:02:11 AM
All the companies you made mention are powerful organizations that don't see any needs in creating their own tokens or coins, for what purpose? It's why we need to be careful with new projects, it's because money is in crypto that's why we keep seeing new projects, almost all new projects are here to take advantage of investors
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ethereum performance, what do you think? on: February 04, 2021, 05:01:35 PM
Since bitcoin isn't backing down any time soon it's easy for Ethereum to grow over 1800$ very soon, I only plan to hold the little ETH I have in my wallet, it's too risky to buy right now even if things still looks good for both bitcoin and ethereum, I'd rather buy low rank coins right now because it's not a good time to buy top coins, it's the time to start taking profits
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good low difficulty coins to mine? on: February 04, 2021, 02:25:37 PM
A question for you people with a GPU mining rig out there, how do you find low difficulty coins to mine which have potential to rise from $0.005 to $0.25 for example.

I don't want you to spoon feed me I just mean as in what do you analyze to determine what's a total scam or if the coin has future potential.
They are more risky because they can exit scam someday, I've mined so many new coins before but I was left with shitcoins while holding them and thinking I will be a big whale in future, you want my advice?Mine popular coins like Ethereum
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Only God knows for how long mining will remain profitable on: February 04, 2021, 09:09:35 AM
I don’t get it , eth difficulty is going up but i’m still generating more eth than before with same hashpower . How is that possible ?
The profitability of Ethereum mining comes from gas fee, that's why people are complaining about the implementation of EIP 1559 which was said to balance things out for users and also lower the mining reward, I as a person don't pray for the EIP1559 right now cos I just build my rigs 😁😁😁
379  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is gram free really real on: February 03, 2021, 09:39:13 AM
It is a scam bro....

I did it from beginning to the end...
reaching their minimum withdrawal...
lemme give you an outline of what they do
1. first each referral you get 5 gram, maximum 3 referrals a day

2. when you reach 400grams they try to slow you down by giving you 1gram for referral instead, and maximum of 1 a day

3. after reaching minimum withdrawal they'll ban you after 10 days for reason they do not know.....

don't waste your time on it....
Actually I got more confused after seeing two different guys withdrawing money through this gram free tokens after they hit 500 which is the minimum amount to withdrawal, they did withdraw freely with no hiccups but yet I refuse to join because I smell pyramid scheme in it, anyways

You can bet it was what drove me...
And that's always the thing with scam project...
Using our greed and taking advantage of our taste to pursuit to our disadvantage....
I never believed it tho...
But a friend with money to burn asked me to cooperate with him in getting referrals....
I had to... I mean who wouldn't.... at least I knew I got nothing to lose.... ( cos it was data consuming)
If it's data consuming then you got something to lose, money, some people in my area are really talking good about this free gram token but I just believe in this word that nothing is for free, it's definitely a scam project, they paid people to attract more people, that's also how ponzi schemes works

You post in the wrong thread mate, you are simply looking for someone to hire isn't it? This topic is better in the service announcement section of this forum, here is just for crypto mining discussions only, go here instead
