361  Economy / Services / Re: Able to write? Know about Bitcoin? Get in touch. on: August 07, 2014, 12:09:19 AM
Hi there, I'm currently looking for people to write on an assortment of Bitcoin related topics. Reviews, guides, explanations, commentary, etc. I have tons of demand, and need it filled.

It doesn't matter whether you've done this kind of stuff before or not, get in touch via PM. I'll be paying good money to anyone who can write an interesting article.

PM format:

Subject: Writers

Body: [Hi, my name is x], [I'm from y country], [I've been involved with Bitcoin since z].

Being involved with Bitcoin for years isn't a necessity, as long as you have an understanding of it.

Thanks!
Joe

EDIT: Should add, I'm paying $2-4/100 words (the average article will be 500-1000 words, so $10-20/page), potentially higher for those who are able to write especially well. If English is a second language, then this may not be suitable (although if you've lived in an English speaking country for a large portion of your life, then that may not apply).

If English is a first language, or you've lived in an English speaking country for a large portion of time/are well educated in English, then go for it, by all means, even if you don't have any writing experience.

Hey there, eoJ, how did you like my article? Is it fine? If so, can I pick other topics to write about?

I am waiting for your reply.

Regards.
362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy bitcoin in BRL on: August 06, 2014, 09:16:53 PM
Yes, but the average price in brazil is very expensive. I would like to know if exist another plataform that sell bitcoins in BRL.

Maybe try exchanging your BRL to USD and then buying BTC.

Also check here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=69.0

Are you sure, after0707, BTC is too expensive in BRL? Because when I have checked it, if you exchange BRL to USD and than USD to BTC (as suggested by Koko) it will be a little more expensive yet (US$ paralelo).

Thanks, but I'm afraid it doesn't support x86. Ah the good old days when 32-bit was still popular, where did they go?

On another note, me and a friend have started work on an official animecoin webpage which we can host and keep up to date and modify when ever we want. We were wondering if it would be alright for us to host ads on the page, so that we can pay the server costs and the development/upkeep costs from that?

GUI AniMiner for Windows  http://anime.zcoins.org/animiner.zip

Hi DarkWolf

I don't see a problem that you start with some ads on your webpage. You could put some banner on it with mining hardware, lotterys, exchanges, etc.

What think other people about it?

I agree with that. IMO it is more than fair that you and your friend are remunerated for the creation and the maintenance of the Animecoin Webpage you have been working on. I can only congratulate you for your important efforts, and put myself at your disposal for any help needed. Your contribution to Animecoin is priceless!

Oh, and congratulations  for the Animecoin Community, for we've reached page 102 in this thread Wink

What does it matter what Satoshi intended it to be? It is what it is and the people will use it as they wish. Nobody can stop it now.

Very true. Satoshi (whoever he is) does not own Bitcoin.

With the amount that he mined he's may not own it but he definitely has the ability to bring it to its knees if he wanted to. Wink

Cheesy true... but still, I count with the possibility that he has lost access to those PrivKeys Wink
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | RC4 Testing on: August 05, 2014, 10:00:03 PM
Are you fanatics worried at all about the somnolescent prices?  Since the great May pump, DRK has been in the doldrums.  No matter how much innovation or development, the price has been low.  At least the nethash is strong but I fear that's primarily because its summer in most of the mining world and people need to live with their GPUs.  Once that passes, I wonder how many will switch to other algos like Scrypt-N...
I am by no means an expert, but it looks to me like the price has gone down on fairly low volume. Most DRK users are holding or buying right now, not many people want to sell. I don't think that all of the current sell orders for DRK are even real, they will get pulled. The sell orders are being used to keep the price low so that somebody can continue to accumulate cheap coins. When we do get a real trend reversal, we will go up quite fast imo. Then again, I may totally wrong, I am still quite new to speculating.
I don't know why people care about this... You're speculating on the wrong thing.

RC3 got flubbed. More than once. DRK has the fundamentals, but "safe investors" fear the execution.

RC3 being flubbed is not really Evan's fault. DRK offers so much that people were adopting it way before it was meant to be. Can't help that people jump on trains they should not jump on. Much was forced upon Evan before its time as a result of this. This is why RC3 flubbed. DRK is still a product in the very early stages of development, but the unwashed masses just can't get it through their heads. Add in the shitcoiners that pay no attention to anything at all ever, they just pump and dump waves of abbreviations they don't even read about...

Fundamentals. What is the coin made of? Dev team?

This has people spooked. Everyone who understands Evan and company's persistence and the gravity of the project are already all in. Those who don't, but recognize what it can become, are waiting before the throw their whale wads at it. The price since the 2nd RC3 flub has been dictated by nothing but low volume shitcoin pump and dumpers who have absolutely no clue about the coin. Everyone who is actually worth a shit is either holding, accumulating, or waiting. It's just another abbreviation to pump and dump until then.

If you're looking at the price tag for answers, you're not going to find them. This is not a shitcoin. Ignore that crap and focus on the fundamentals and you can't help but understand it instantly...

I am so sorry for those people being fooled by price. Oh, well, nevermind. Let them sell their DRKs cheap because I will continue buying as much DRK as I can, and if they come cheap to me, better.

I have got no intention to try to dissuade fools from selling their DRK in order to buy some other dubious coins. Let them do it: as said before, the wise users are holding or buying DRK right now.

lets make interesting, nice discussion here, or go to PM's with your's fight..

to be clear i am not takeing any of your's side,  Wink

MAKE LOVE NOT WAR ... Grin

Sure. It makes no sense this war between coins. We should work together better than fight each other.

I am quite certain that those stupid people spreading BS everywhere (in this thread and also elsewhere) is actually trying to destroy ALL cryptos with a "divide and conquer" scheme.

Thank you for your post, 31103.

Peace and Love Wink

368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make a transaction that cannot be spent in X years on: August 05, 2014, 06:14:00 PM
Hi everyone,

I would like to send an amount of bitcoins as a gift and I want to make sure that amount is not spendable until a certain date.

Is that possibile? With what clients?

Thanks,
ilpirata79

Please, don't do that. I know you might have your reasons. But, unless this non-spendable restriction is revokable, if there's any unforeseen problems (like the urgent need of the money, e.g. to cover serious health urgencies) you (or the person "owning" it) will powerlessly see all that money locked. It will be cruel.

Try to find another solution if possible.

All the best.
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to get a new "bitcoin foundation"??? on: August 05, 2014, 06:03:56 PM
i got no problem with people making decentralized groups but i am laughing at people writing above saying about 'how will people vote on "it" ' or 'who will control "it" '.. and yet no one is talking about what the foundation will actually achieve in reality.

stop thinking about grabbing members and giving members the power to vote before establishing the purpose and goals. start talking about what the members will be even voting on, what the foundation will actually be in control of, what the foundations motives are and what the foundation is even required to do,

anyone can make a group of circle-jerkers that votes on who gets to pick their nose first. or who gets to buy the pizza. but in reality its not helping bitcoin grow. so please stop thinking of the member/money grab and start thinking about who you lot know that can actually DO something.

i simply hate all these foundations that DO nothing but vote on useless things because no one is there to DO things. so shut up about voting, shut up about board members and concentrate on getting programmers, lobbyists, advertising companies FIRST and foremost.

do it the proper way. otherwise your just forming another committee of circle-jerkers.

Agreed. We need useful works. Not more voting grafts... enought of this form our governments already

yeah ever since I got involved with bitcoins... my ideology is slowly changing from

being  pro socialism to pro libertarianism...

I now feel happy and liberated when I think about the pleasures of personal wealth..

are you having such changes?

Socialism is nonsense. Welcome to libertarianism Smiley

371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to get a new "bitcoin foundation"??? on: August 05, 2014, 05:50:47 PM
Bitcoin is decentralised. No central authority is in it's very soul. That's why it's so beautiful.

The Bitcoin Foundation as well as any other foundations to be created (we are free to create as many bitcoin foundations as we wish, as someone has already noted here) is very welcome to help, as long as it refrains from trying to arrogate itself the title of "Bitcoin Central Authority" (that's what they are not).
372  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: RPG MO - an indie mmorpg on: August 04, 2014, 11:12:09 PM
Perhaps integrate bitcoins into the game?
they are integrated, click on Buy items and coins -> BTC and after the donation you get automagically the MOS credits to your account

When you kill monsters do you get satoshis? People would LOVE the idea of looting real spendable money off of mobs even it was only 100th of a penny each time.

Marx you should take this into consideration. Take a very small percent of the profit you make in Bitcoins (or fork some over yourself to get it started) and make it so that each mob drops a few satoshi's. Players can then either cash out the satoshi's after they collect a lot (1 mBTC for instance) or they can re-use the satoshi's to buy stuff in your in-game store.

wow, it would be gorgeous! If i found a tibia like game in which the monsters drop satoshis I would be playing nonstop till addiction!

An idea would be charging an yearly (or monthly) fee from players to fund those poor monsters Wink

Seems to be a nice game. I'll register there today and I'll try it.

Thanks.

The pool www.cpu-pool.net/ani will be shutting down on the 01.08.2014. So if you have funds there withdraw them from there by then. I've read that on their ani pool's homepage.

Thank you, DarkWolf, for the info. It seems that their webpage is offline already. Have you been able to speak directly with their admins? Who is the Adm there?

(edit: their webpage is still online, but the correct address is https://www.cpu-pool.net/ani Smiley)

Hey there,

I have found this post:

Hi everyone,
I am offering my services as a small game developer !

I create games for fun, and i did not learn anything about developing games on school only online.
I can create a 2D game for you at your choosing [we can discuss this further on if you are intersted].

My price is very cheap and we can use escrow.

If you have any intersted PM me or simply reply here with your idea and i will tell you if i can do it or not, and if i can i will also say the price.

Thank you!

And had the idea that it would be nice to have a faucet-game for Animecoin. Something like a mini grand chase, elsword, or at least a simple pokemon like tournament (or a tamagochi). It could even be one of the features to our Android Wallet App in development.

It would be nice to have a faucet-game for Animecoin. I'll tell about your service to the community there.

We think it's the best coin out there. Even better than DRK itself. Let's all sell DRK for BCN!
you forgot to add [sarcasm][/sarcasm]

Nope... in this case it's not necessary, because the sarcasm there is so obvious Wink

Hello DZ,

I am so sorry to hear about that. It is sad that even the DRK community and Devs weren't able to help you.

Of course this is sad for the people participating here in this thread, but IMO it is worse for Darkcoin itself, because it shows the lack of support from Devs/Community for what seems to be huge problems with the masternodes, and it scares "normal" people away from the Masternodes idea and also from Darkcoin in a whole.

Thank you for your efforts. We know you have tried to help Darkcoin Community grow, and that is the most important.
