If someone sells its going towards somebody that actually wants to hold for profit, so i dont really see the problem. Id rather see it happen now than later in development

Some basic communication outlets would be nice. A good looking website, irc, twitter and possibly a forum. Just the basic stuff. Still in early development i guess.

Is the Anon wallet suppose to be released sometime today?
From what I understand, if there's no setbacks it would release today/tomorrow (he said 24 hours so depending on time zone I guess). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Finity, I would like to address your concerns and I completely understand that you have them. The easy and short answer is LiteBit offers a service. That service is selling NLG (and many other coins) to the public. They also buy them from the public or an exchange, not from us. The reason we work together with LiteBit is that we want to bring Guldencoin to the hands of the people, in an easy and safe way. This is the same reason we recommend LitePaid. Cryptocurrency is still very new for many people and especially companies, so accepting crypto is still a big step. LitePaid makes this step easier by offering payment in euros. This is the same thing Bitpay does for takeaway.com (thuisbezorgd.nl). The reality is, when more people accept Guldencoin, it will be easier for companies to not have to convert to euros. Until that time. LitePaid offers this great service and provides an easy way for companies to accept Guldencoin. I get what you're are trying to do and I think you're process of thought behind it is correct, but that doesn't leave the fact out that at this point 1 company has the possibility of creating supply and demand. Note the word possibility, not saying they are but it is possible.

I don't know why you think there is a problem. I'm just quoting and reading between the lines. As Guldencoin is obviously a direct competitor of EFL I don't actually see why this would be off topic? I was just sharing my thoughts on the competition. It was not intended as a offensive statement, my bad if you did take it that way which on the other hand I wouldn't really get. I assume you guys thought about what you're doing.
It just seems weird to me to talk about 'the competition' in this thread as I only check this topic incidentally. I am more than willing to explain this to you, but in the thread designated for Guldencoin so other people with the same question can find the answer. I'm aware my English isn't perfect so maybe there is a little lost in translation here. Anyway, Guldencoin questions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=554412.0Happy to answer there ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Already posted it on the guldencoin forum, thanks in advance.

so basically they say customers pay in guldencoin, which will be send to the guldencoin ?team? and they pay the seller in euro's. Is it just me or does this sound weird? It would mean that or they would hold all the coins at a certain point in time, destroy them which will in the end deplete the total supply of coins or bring them back into circulation by selling them which means they would make money on it defeating the purpose of cryptocurrency. In short, it looks like they are trying to be a bank, ideal, paypal or whatever you want to call it. +1
so far all guldencoin has done is shown us that they are an actual company that is registered at the kvk. This defeats the whole purpose of cryptos..... People get exited when they can put a face to a coin but they forget the whole idea of crypto's is that they don't belong to anyone. Now lets take things one step further, after investigating it seems that guldencoin now has close ties with litebit who offers to sell their product. So here's whats going on right now, i cant believe that nobody else is seeing this...
1. Guldencoin, Company creates crypto currency (money) and distributes 10% itself 2. Distribution system isn't fool proof and can be manipulated (who sais guldencoin dint do this themselves?) 3. Company signs contract with litebit who sells the money they made and hold.
I understand why the efl devs wish to stay anonymous, there is nothing for them to gain. But EFL needs to register at the kvk (chamber of commerce) asap as a NON profit organisation. Be very open about how many people have claimed their share of EFL. This is the ONLY transparent way that actually makes sense. Guldencoin is on a wrong course here, crypto's should not be managed or created by company's that make any profit.

The youtube video linked in the op "This video has been removed because its content violated YouTube's Terms of Service."
I listed the the interview when it came out and I saw nor heard anything that would violate their terms of service. In fact, I didn't know you could violate their ToS so long as it wasn't either pornographic, or in violation of copyright.
I have a feeling somebody spammed the flag button until it got removed. I actually read the term and conditions document and indeed there was nothing in violation with it. So my guess is somebody is trying to hurt EFL and/or is part of a competitor.

I would of invested in efl but if you look at the efl chart on bitterex there was a huge volume spike which looks fishy And NLG looks more professional and has yet to make break out gains https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-NLGEFL falling from highs NLG slowly rising I was reading the guldencoin.nl forum, and bramvnl actually stated there he's keeping the price artificially high by trading with himself. trying to pick up the prize and i got btc and guldencoin on the website! pleas help!
ik ben de prijs omhoog aan het halen! kom ook helpen!
Which is kinda weird, based on the whole idea of cryptocurrency's, we don't want intervention from banks and governments that "sell" you money that is overvalued and yet he's(and maybe more since he's asking more people to do it) doing the exact same thing. Letting people pay for artificially high overvalued money. The worst part is he's actually stating he's making profit on doing this. You sir are on the fine line of what would be in the real world called stockmanipulation and/or fraud.

[quote authingchcoin link=topic=561266.msg6123175#msg6123175 date=1396951975] EFL definatly for a very simple reason... They we're first... I know that there has been a discussion about who registered a domain name first...this doesn't really matter though. They have done a great job reaching out to the media and seem to know exactly what they are doing. Sure....they have had some people question their distribution methods (asking for a id card and utility bill in the beginning). Even so...they have always responded to their community quickly and came up with quick and good solutions. As long as they don't make any mistakes with distribution, this coin will win in the long run. I have not seen Guldencoin answer any questions about their distribution system while there has been a lot of people claiming and showing us that it is very easy to cheat using different iban numbers and e-mail adresses, receive alot of guldencoin. I guess it is better to receive to much information rather then having a system where people keep on filling out requests forms and receiving to much coins. Also i don't like how Guldencoin used EFL's flaws in the beginning saying things like "our distribution system does NOT require you to fill in any personal information", and "our distribution system DOES work". Why didn't they just reach out to EFL and offer them help instead of creating a 2nd coin? This will just cause a lot of confusion for dutch new cryptocurrency users. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) [/quote] Very true Another thing i don't like is their way of marketing instead of trying to make a name for themselves by promoting their own coin they rather tell us how bad Efl is and how theirs is better, on top of that they have some really obnoxious communitymembers which is not their fault I guess but still. Efl!!

My vote goes to Efl, there's been a discussion about the ammount of coins they bogetting supposed to generate in the blockchain.
Eventhough Efl has a smaller total of coins half of it goes to the Dutch population. On the other hand we have NLG which has 10% of total to distribute and a bigger total ammount of coins, based on this, i'd like to make a prediction, for starters these specifications will inflate the value of the coin insanely, second, only 10% is reserved for dutch people which makes it likely that the other 90% will be mined by mainly foreigners. Which in the doesn't really make it a coin for the Dutch does it? which do I think is more of a Dutch coin, Efl, who do I think has any chance of getting a real value without hyperinflation, Efl.
The reason were in a crisis is the world prints to much money with a unjustified value. So I don't really get why they think more is better.

Can't wait for this week, we really need more media exposure and some extra exchanges following that.
|

|
Step by step. 1. Go to www.e-gulden.com2. Download the wallet for your type of system 3. Run the installee 4. Once installer finishes locate the program in your installation folder 5. Right click the program, then run as administrator 6. Once it is started check the bottom right corner of the client if it has connections(hover till info pops up) 7. If there's connections sit back and wait till it is synchronized(can take a while) 8. If there's no connections go to C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Roaming\Egulden 9. Check if there's a file called coin.conf 10. If it is open it and overwrite the content with this rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=21015 addnode=5.157.80.21 addnode=95.96.192.87 addnode=108.61.191.169 addnode=87.209.32.110 port=11015 gen=0 server=1
11. If the file is not there open up notepad(or notepad++) 12. Paste the quote from step 10 into it 13. Save file as coin.conf in C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Roaming\Egulden 14. Back to step 5 right click the client and run as administrator

[quothatthor=onnielief link=topic=522661.msg6068971#msg6068971 date=1396619173] In short yes create one with the content given on the site as example. Name it coin.conf and place it in the previously mentioned folder
Added the coin.conf, but still no Blocks, and wallet still stuck on (not synchronised). Do I need to install something else besides the wallet? And if so, why is that not posted on the https://e-gulden.com/ website? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) [/quote] Does it say you have connections in bottom right? Otherwise trying running as administrator, which could help bypass a firewall If thats the problem

Hey guys,
Complete newbie but willing to learn, how does this stuff work? I cannot seem to be able to find something like a dummy guide, or even a step by step. For instance, I do not even have a coin.conf in my AppData/Roaming/Egulden folder do I just make one in notepad++ or what?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
