Nothing will happen. Most wallets won't even download the blockchain so it doesn't matter.

It's one of the basic rule for all the newcomers out there, "CHANGE THE PASSWORD REGULARLY"
Not really. Changing passwords regularly could lead to several problems. I wouldn't advice using the same passwords for different sites though.

Complete baseless speculation. Nothing can be predicted in bitcoin, people should know that by now. This thread also belongs in speculation.

1% of the site seems like a great reward. I got a couple of bucks from the site today just by logging on, cool! It might be a bit off topic but I was wondering if any of you knew... For the 30% of the profits that are distributed, are they EVENLY distributed to ANY player that makes at least 1 bet? Never really cleared that up :O I think the 30% is distributed evenly throughout all the active players, though I could be wrong. Best ask in their main casino thread. I also got a little bit for playing already.

I haven't spent any of my coins yet, but I'm itching to. I just can't bring myself to spend any at the moment when the coins were worth double what they are at the moment. I hope that in a few years a half of all e-merchants would make a possibility to pay with BTC
I sure hope you're right. The benefits to them as merchants are many compared to credit cards and paypal etc.

It is crazy. I wonder if Satoshi ever envisioned it would become this big. Does it say how much they actually earn? I noticed it said they spend 60kUSD a month merely on electricity.

I guess most of the people that make 1 BTC every day around here are scammers.
How could scammers even scam that much? Once you've scammed any amount large or small here that account is essentially ruined. Most of the scammers I see round here also only manage smaller amounts.

So are they handing out paper wallets in bitcoin or worldcoin, because otherwise this doesnt promote bitcoin much just a crappy alt.

As for spending his bitcoins, if he was going to I'm sure he would've by now. I'm also worried what spending or dumping them could do to bitcoin. I don't think Satoshi will ever convert his coins to fiat. He will probably use them to pay autonomous agents for big changes.
What kind of agents and big changes? Sounds ominous.

What are your predictions about the rates of the fixed payments which will probably be introduced the next month?
We don't know yet. There are some rumours about the payments being activity-based in the future but we'll just have to wait. I guess Stunna's main priority is launching PD3 so we'll probably hear about this after the launch. Yep, true, so not much point speculating on it. Also, since stunna made that announcemenmt there has been another pay per post campaign enter the field which is also higher paying, so maybe you guys could even see a raise. Only time will tell or an update from stunna though.

I think it's difficult as it is at the moment to actually spend coins online never mind instore. I heard there's a lot of shops in Amsterdam that accept it and I'll probably be going there later this year so I'll probably try my first face to face transaction there.

What are you trying to submit and does this have anything to do with bitcoin?

Shit. I thought today was the final day... You still probably wouldnt have been able to make the rest of the posts in that time frame without breakign the campaign rules.

Did you sign a message proving you owned the account as he seems to ignore the requests if they cant provide the proper stuff needed to prove ownership.

If bitcoin were really truly anonymous in 100% It would be great, but there are ways i.e blockchain to track your coins. While it does not show you directly your location or name it can be tracked. But it is still better that credit cards or other online payments method...
I don't think bitcoin ever claimed to be truly anonymous, but you can use it without tying your account to your real world identity. I or others don't know anything about you just because you have a bitcoin address or send and recieve payments. I don't think satoshi ever said that it was supposed to be anonymous But people are saying its used for anonymous purposes. But it depends on the situation i guess I think people tend to go with what the media says and they seem to peddle it as a 'anoymous currency', which it's not really, but can be used in such a way if you're careful, but it's more of an 'unregulated' currency or one with less bureaucracy and that you're free to use whatever your situation.

From the original list published in 2012, how many turned out to be rip-offs?
I don't think many at all. John went mia for a bit but paid people back. We're pretty old members that were around when Bitcoin was worthless and had no incentive to steal. We were here for more altruistic reasons. But didnt you say before somewhere that you lost all your coins somehow, so there may always be an incentive for some escrowers (though not saying that you would run off with people's money, but safety is never guranteed).
|
|
|
Yes they can. For me personally it depends on the reason of selling/buying. As long as people use it for signature campaigns I don't really mind. Sad enough the accounts are often used for scamming as well.
And often the people buying them get scammed as well, especially if they don't use escrow, but also because they're easily recoverable by PMing theymos.

I truly hope they do see the greatness behind the technology and the benefit it has to all, and are not just interested in it because of how they can take their share of the pie, which is probably more of the case.

Deflationary is good because infationary is bad. Just printing more money into the system has disaterous consequences for those that use it but not much for the megarich and the people who control it (and they hold much wealth in other stuff such as properties and land so they'll be fine if it ever goes tits up any way).
